Large and Cozy Venue
Woods Chapel is a beautiful venue. The Wedding Coordinator really knows her stuff and kept us on track to start and finish on time. Although the venue can seat up to 300, it feels cozy and warm. We had a great experience with the Woods Chapel and have nothing but good memories of our wedding day there.-

I was a little nervous after reading some of the Wood's reviews...but don't listen to them! Tracy was awesome and so sweet. She is very timely and professional. The venue is perfect, sort of like an enchanted forest. You have to understand that Tracy runs a business. She has up to 2 weddings/day on the weekend and has to make sure her clients stay accountable for keeping the place nice and clean. Follow her rules and you'll have a perfect day. I would highly recommend the Wood's Chapel. -

My son and daughter-in-law had their wedding ceremony inside the Chapel and also got ready there prior. Everything was wonderful and Tracy could not have been nicer or more accomodating. I would recommend this venue without a doubt! -

The woods was the only venue I looked at for a ceremony. It was exactly what I had always dreamed of. The bridal cottage is filled with vintage mirrors and chandeliers while the grooms suite has wood walls and leather couches. The outdoor landscape is picture perfect and very well maintained! Tracy is the owner and she was so great to work with!! Very responsive and kind! Our experience at The Woods was perfect and we got so many compliments from our guests! -

The space is beautiful! It was the perfect outdoor wedding! She sprayed for mosquitos, and that helped A TON!! Beautiful weather, and the cottages are pristine and clean. -

I am so happy we had our wedding ceremony at The Woods Chapel. It was very much our style, and we knew as soon as we saw it that we wanted to have our wedding there. Tracy was very accomodating throughout the whole wedding process, and even took us on a tour when we drove by with our family one time without calling ahead. With the chance of rain during our wedding ceremony, we rehearsed both indoor and outdoor scenarios the day before the wedding. Although we had always pictured the wedding outside, they recently re-did the floors in the indoor chapel and got rid of the green carpet, so the indoor chapel was just as beautiful as the outdoor one and I couldn't decide where I wanted to have it! We ended up doing it indoors and I'm really glad we did. The pictures turned out beautiful and I got so many compliments on it. The "getting ready" room also made for great pictures and a very relaxed atmosphere for my bridesmaids and I to get ready in. Tracy was really helpful and available all day, and made sure everything went as smoothly as possible. We loved how everything turned out and could not have imagined having our wedding anywhere else! -

We had a beautiful Summer wedding at the Woods chapel this last August! They were very easy to work with, and it was worth the money to have such a gorgeous venue with a beautiful cottage to get ready in, and amazing backgrounds for photos.

The Woods Chapel was the absolute perfect venue for our wedding. The bright green foliage created a breathtaking background for both our ceremony and reception. The bridal cottage, the chapel, the tri-leveled patios and the out door amphitheater each contribute to the incredible ambiance this venue holds. There are a plethora of trees, plants, bright and beautiful flowers, and a gorgeous pond. Even better, the lady who owns The Woods Chapel (Tracy) is as wonderful as the venue. She is incredibly friendly and pleasant and went out of her way to help make accommodations for our us. We booked this venue about 11 months prior to our wedding and she always answered any questions I emailed her throughout those 11 months. She was extremely helpful and we felt so blessed to be working with her and having our special day at her beautiful venue. We HIGHLY recommend this location for your wedding if you are looking for a gorgeous, fun, natural, reasonably priced, stress-free, and intimate feeling wedding (with an incredibly sweet and helpful coordinator as a bonus!). The Woods Chapel was honestly an even better venue than we could have ever imagined for our wedding.
P.S. And the pictures here turn out FABULOUS! :) -

A fairytale day
The Woods Chapel was the perfect spot for our wedding day. We’ve had so many guests comment about how idyllic the grounds were! I had my hair and makeup done offsite and got dressed (with my bridesmaids) in the chapel’s cottage. My husband and his groomsmen got dressed in the cottage but on a level below us so we could still do our first look. We couldn’t have asked for anything better! So many beautiful tall trees, bridges, wooded spots and nooks to take pictures inside and outside. I am confident this would be a lovely venue year round. The chapel is absolutely breathtaking and even better than the pictures. We didn’t even add any decor, and it was still beautiful. Tracy was super helpful and great to work with from start to finish. She even helped open the doors to the chapel for my grand entrance! There’s a small reception area, but we chose to have ours offsite because of the guest list. If you want a romantic fairytale feel for your day, this is your spot!-

This venue is absolutely gorgeous! The fairytale wedding I always dreamed of. It provided the ability to have a beautiful outdoor wedding, but have an equally as beautiful indoor wedding if the weather didn't cooperate. The grounds are perfect for pictures- a pond, bridges, flowers, lots of trees, the castle-like cottage and the chapel. It is a little more expensive, but definitely worth it to have an outdoor wedding where you don't have to decorate! (we only had our ceremony there).
If you want to have the natural flowers on the grounds for your spring wedding, definitely make sure you have a discussion with Tracy before you book your date about when they will plant the flowers. We had our wedding in late May and she planted flowers only a couple days before. We were so very glad that she went through all the work to plant them! It was beautiful!
Tracy was very easy to work with, very friendly, and very responsive! She was very professional at directing everyone at the rehearsal and at the ceremony itself. We got so many compliments from people about it being the most beautiful wedding they have ever been to. Most people hadn't even heard of it before so it also felt more special and one-of-a-kind! We highly recommend the Woods Chapel.

I was married here just a few short weeks ago. It was literally a dream location. Not only was I completely satisfied with the grounds, but I was also very happy with Traci and her staff. My day was truly perfect. All of the guests were completely in awe at this little slice of heaven. -

The Woods Chapel is the most beautiful place!!! I was able to be a princess in the woods for our wedding!
No matter what time of year, the Woods Chapel is a beautiful location. Unlike many other outdoor options - there is a beautiful indoor option, just in case. Luckily, we didnt have to use it this time - as the rain stopped for that short period of time we needed it to, in order to hold the ceremony outside.
Tracy and the crew at Woods did everything they could to help us with the last minute decisions on indoors/outdoors and were able to make work - without anyone knowing about the last minute decisions we had to make!
We loved it, and cannot even believe how beautiful our photos are - the location was simply amazing.
Thank you Woods Chapel. -

There are some fairly strict rules for this venue, so the flexibility could be better, but I couldn't ask for a more beautiful venue and am extremely happy with how everything went the day of. They had recently hired a new DOC, and she was amazing! -

The venue and wedding were beautiful, so it’s unfortunate that I have to report this cautionary tale. The owner was at times wonderful and accommodating and at times acted totally erratic and very unprofessional. Make sure the wedding party and all guests know how serious she is about the alcohol policy. The bride and groom were charged a $350 fine because two groomsman opened beers on the party bus as we were about the leave. Because the party bus was technically on the property, the fine stood. It’s such a shame because we were so close to leaving and the groomsman were just trying to escape the mosquitoes until the rest of us got on the bus. The owner physically got on the bus to check if people were drinking, threw a fit and chewed out the bus driver all while the bride and groom were taking last minute pictures nearby. Her behavior at the end was embarrassing, irrational and lacked professionalism. I hope she does something worthwhile with all the outrageous fines she likely collects. Her expectation of the bride and groom being responsible for the behavior of hundreds of guests 100% of the time is unreasonable. I was stunned to observe this woman lack the ability to take a deep breath, calm down, understand what qualifies as a problem and give out a warning vs. an excessive fine. -

Disappointed
I'm not usually one to leave reviews, and I hate to do this, but I feel the need to put it out there. My fiance and I aren't married yet -- we were planning for a June 26, 2020 wedding at The Woods, but the coronavirus pandemic threw all our plans out the window. Tracy at the Woods wanted us to make our final NON-REFUNDABLE payment during a pandemic, when one of us was laid off and when we were struggling to move forward to even figure out how/when we're going to get married.
Of course we signed a contract (before the pandemic), but our reception venue, the Plymouth Creek Center (where we signed a contract as well) offered to void our contract and give us a full refund of our deposit because they understand that this pandemic is a difficult time and that there's no way we could have foreseen this. Tracy, on the other hand, hasn't answered questions via email and has refused to even acknowledge our request for a full or partial refund (the few email replies she's sent have been vague, and she avoids our questions about the deposit).
Ultimately, we knew we needed to change our plans and not do our ceremony at The Woods because we can't afford to be throwing out $3000+ (when it's all non-refundable, with no exceptions), because at this point we can't say with 100% certainty that we'll be able to have a normal-sized crowd at a wedding anytime soon...and we simply don't need a space like The Woods if there's a chance that only a couple dozen people (or less) will end up being at our wedding because of a pandemic.
Under normal circumstances, we would have not broken a contract...but these are clearly not normal circumstances.
I know there are other venues that are probably sticking to their contracts as well, but Tracy's lack of empathy has been so disappointing to us. I wonder, if she were in our shoes, would she think this is fair? -

Pretty location, but there we so many problems with Tracy (the owner) and the site the day of the wedding that it was definitely more of a nightmare than anything. Here we go:
Tracy is horrible to work with. Seems super nice/accommodating during the meetings up until booking, then everything switches. We set up a meeting with her a few weeks before our wedding to talk about questions we had and to understand how our music would be played. We set it up for a night after work and my Mom and I drove 4 hours there and back only to show up and SHE NEVER SHOWED UP. She said she "forgot" she had another meeting scheduled the same day. We understood, but were very frustrated.
During our rehearsal, she had just gotten a puppy and was carrying it around the whole time and having people in my BRIDAL PARTY watch the dog or hold it when she was showing us things. This was completely unacceptable and unprofessional.
Tracy was was so rude to my Mom on the wedding day and was a total controlling crazy woman. Her rules are you have to clean everything out before the ceremony, and we did that. We had forgotten that we left some water in the fridge, so after the wedding was over, my Mom went back to clean out the fridge - and keep in mind NO ONE else was in the parking lot for the next wedding, but she cornered my parents and told them that the contract said we needed to be out at 3pm (and it was 3:05pm) and she was going to charge them $500.00 for being 5 mintues late. She ended up charging them $100 for this "inconvenience" and my parents brought up the fact we drove 4 hours total for the meeting she never showed up to and maybe we can call it even, and she said "I already apologized for that" and any further questions can be sent to my LAWYER. Like, yeah lady, we're going to SUE you for $100.00. It was just ridiculous, be a human.
Also, the neighbor was CHAINSAWING for 2 of the 4 hours we had the venue and Tracy wouldn't ask them to stop. So that's in my videos now. -

We attended a wedding there in 2014. What a beautiful setting! Our daughter's dream was to get married "in the woods". They loved the venue so they booked it for a May 2015 wedding. We also told them that a fountain in the pond shot high in the air when the bride and groom kissed. Thirty minutes prior to the start of the wedding, Tracy informed us that the fountain was not working and they didn't fix it yet.
The contract stated that no alcohol was permitted on the grounds or you would be fined. At the rehearsal, we heard about no alcohol several times. We were fine with that. We told Tracy that we reminded everyone in the wedding party about the no alcohol policy. There was even a small sign on the main sign as you entered the parking area. Tracy informed my daughter & son-in-law that if they wanted the guy (who was a relative of Tracy's) at the rehearsal who would be playing the music at their ceremony, it would cost an additional $100. My daughter said no since she listed what music was to be played & when. There should not have been an additional fee. We "paid" for it in the end because the music was not played when it should have and it stopped prior to the bride and her father reaching the area where the guests were seated.
Then we couldn't find Tracy. Luckily, Tracy did return a couple minutes prior to the start and cued the bridal to start the procession. We find out that prior to the start of the ceremony, Tracy was in the parking lot making sure no one was drinking alcohol. She was successful and found a couple opening 1 beer. Our guests told us that Tracy reached in the car to grab the beer. Tracy even took a picture of the license plate for proof. All of this was occurring minutes before the start of the ceremony. In the end, Tracy deducted $100 of our security deposit because 2 of our 170 guests attempted to drink a beer. We did tell Tracy to use the $100 to fix the fountain. Just be prepared! -
