John is a true artist and captured the emotion of our wedding, the joy and laughter of our families, and the spirit of our celebration! He's super easy to work with and was never pushy. Our portraits and album turned out beautiful, and we couldn't be happier about how John created lasting memories for us. We live out of state (had our destination wedding in Hilton Head), and he was very accommodating to our schedule. A true professional!

John was a pleasure to work with and not intrusive at all during our wedding day. I barely knew he was there and the pictures were great. He has the ability to capture special moments rather than just the standard posed photos. Wonderful experience!

John photographed our wedding in Spring Island, SC. He was always a reliable communicator throughout our wedding process, and did a fabulous job on the day of the wedding! My husband and I didn't want to have to spend a lot of time taking pictures before our reception, and John was so helpful/efficient with helping us to get all the photos we needed in a quick time frame. On the day of the wedding, he captured everything I had asked for, along with so many beautifully artistic ideas of his own. I think I'll end up with ten books of pictures because I love all of the photos so much!!! I recommend John to anyone who is looking for a reliable, thoughtful, and talented photographer to capture the essence of their wedding day!

John was amazing - our engagement photo session was so easy and the photos were great, we were excited to work together on our wedding day. My husband and I couldn't be happier, we absolutely love our photos, friends and family are telling us we had such a great photographer and we agree. Lynn was so amazing as well, whether she was holding my bouquet, making sure my veil didn't get wet in the rain or helping to bustle my dress, she was awesome. We can't recommend John and Lynn highly enough!

John is nothing less than 5/5 stars. His image quality is second to none, and his creative vision is truly unique. We had heard on recommendation he would capture the most amazing views - finding the hidden and undiscovered frame - and he absolutely lived up to his reputation. We absolutely love our wedding photos, I'd highly recommend Wollwerth Imagery! Aside from the immense quality of work, they were incredibly flexible with our group and extremely professional. We needed a rush on some of the pictures for an event the following weekend and he got them to us no problem. We're already looking forward to working with him again in the future for our anniversary photos and other events! All around great service and a great team, highly recommended.

We booked John based on recommendation from our planner, Lisa Kenward. We had a small, 30 person event at a private residence. John and I spoke before the big day so he had a idea of what we were looking for with our pictures. John and his wife showed up early, were extremely flexible, incredibly helpful, and wonderful for us to have. Onto the pictures. They were all beautiful. We loved them, and we loved the flexibility of having them all sent to us on a flash drive. John really has a great eye for photography and I would recommend him for a wedding, or any other event where you would require a professional photographer. Thank you so much for making our day so memorable!

John listens to what you want and is professional and personal at the same time. He is thorough and provided me with even more pictures than I could have imagined. He is low key and is very in the background but captures portraits and candid shots. I used him for Christmas family portraits to try him before my daughter's wedding. We were very happy with family pictures at our home.

Simply put... it does not get better than John Wollwerth! If you want wedding and engagement photos that are creative, beautiful, special and different than the rest, look no further! My sister hired John as her photographer five years before I was engaged and John was one of my first vendor phone calls because I HAD to have him! I knew that if anyone else photographed my wedding, they wouldn't compare to the photos John produced. For brides coming from out of state and are not familiar with the Lowcountry, you can have complete trust in John to scout out locations for your engagement and/or wedding photos. He can take a seemingly simple backdrop and make it look phenomenal on camera. John is not only incredibly talented, but is so friendly, patient and professional. His wife and assistant, Lynn, is so kind and helpful. Both John and Lynn go outside of their "scope of work" to ensure both bride and groom not only look their best, but feel their best. They are both incredibly calm and set a great energy during a day that can be hectic and sometimes nerve wracking! Thanks John and Lynn for providing us with photos that we will cherish and be proud of forever. THE BEST!

John and his assistant were incredibly easy to work with! We decided to have a destination wedding to South Carolina so I poured over reviews until I came upon John's name. As soon as I saw his website I knew he would be the one. On the day of, he listened to the few requests we had but we preferred to let him make the creative decisions. Every single picture turned out wonderful! I would absolutely recommend Wollwerth Imagery to anyone in need of a great photographer!

John did an incredible job capturing our wedding day. His attention to detail was amazing, and he utilized every setting we were at (the villa, the church and the reception hall) to shoot the best possible pictures. John was very easy to work with and his humor made everyone feel much more at ease. I would highly recommend his services to anyone looking for a professional photographer in the Lowcountry.

I loved working with John for our photographs. I had a destination wedding in Hilton Head and had to go off of reviews and websites to determine which photographer to use. I read over John's website and blog and liked his style. My goal was to have the moments captured rather than lots of posed pictures. We got married at the Country Club of Hilton Head and my husband had scouted out some locations on the golf course and John went along with our vision as well as pointing out some other recommended spots. He was able to capture some amazing photos with the sunset which are our absolute favorites. John and his wife also to a few minutes during the reception to set up a laptop with a few teaser photos for our guests to view. We received so many compliments from our guests that they could not wait to see the rest of the photos. Our wedding photos certainly lived up to all of our expectations and beyond. John was a pleasure to work with and if we ever need photos again while we are in Hilton Head we will be contacting him to see if he can work with us again.

I came across Wollwerth Imagery on WeddingWire in May of 2014 when I was starting to prepare for our May 2015 wedding in South Carolina. I fell in love with his pictures--I literally got goosebumps. They incorporate the scenery so beautifully and don't seem posed or awkward. I went with my gut feeling and went and booked John the same day! Throughout the entire process, John was responsive and professional. The day of the wedding he was prompt and extremely patient (we had a couple of unruly children for some of the shots--which was handled magnificiently). Also, it was very important for us to be able to really enjoy the wedding celebration without being pulled in every other direction for a photo. John and his lovely Assistant, Lynn, were a dream--we never felt as though we were missing a second of the event! The best thing--the photos. My wedding pictures were perfect. They were even more beautiful than anything I had imagined. John was personable, professional and provided a calming atmosphere while we were getting ready. Once we even started talking about getting married I started scoping out photographers in the Savannah area. The photographer was one of the most important things to us for our big day. I went to John's site and absolutely fell in love with his photos. There wasn't a bunch of that posey junk where everyone is faking a smile. He literally catches all the perfect moments. The meaningful things that you want to remember for a lifetime. We decided probably a year before we even started planning that he was the guy for us. We actually changed our original wedding date because he wasn't available on that day. It was all worth it. He made us feel so comfortable, and it was amazing to watch him work. He would see something and just instantly know exactly what kind of picture he wanted there. We took him to the Moon River Brewing Company because it is a special place for us. He had never even been there. He took one quick scan of the room and said alright we're going to do this and this and this. I was amazing. Every single photo is phenomenal. I couldn't imagine them turning out any more perfect. My dad even commented that every single photo he took was meaningful. He said, "You know how inexperienced photographers just run around taking pictures of anything and everything? Every single photo that I saw him take I thought yeah, I can see why he is taking that." I couldn't have said it better. He caught every little special moment when I didn't even know that he was there. The only thing I regret is not buying one of his custom made leather bound photo books. I bet it would have been absolutely breathtaking! Pick John (even if you have to change your wedding date)!!! You will not regret it!

Our wedding photos are amazing thanks to John. His professionalism, skill, and artistic eye were all deeply appreciated. We have had nothing but wonderful compliments on our wedding pictures. He was calm and patient with us and all of our guests from the early planning stage, during the chaos of the wedding day, as well as after the wedding. He captured all of the necessary group shots and more importantly all of the unexpected moments. He created wonderful images that captured both the beauty of our location and our excitement. His photography is highly recommended and we would certainly hire him again.

Wow. The images captured of our wedding by John Wollwerth were incredible. John was very responsive and worked with our schedules, seeing as we do not live in South Carolina. He was so relaxed and efficient on the day of the wedding. He took great pictures during the sunniest part of the day and then easily adjusted for the clouds that moved in during the ceremony. He has a GREAT eye for candid moments, these ended up being my favorite pictures. Looking back through the pictures made me want to relive that day!

John was so easy and fun to work with. He was very flexible when I changed my mind at the last second on taking group photos before the wedding to after. All of our photos are excellent and we couldn't imagine working with anyone else. His photos are amazing and I knew that this was one aspect of our wedding I didn't need to stress over.

John Wollwerth is an excellent photographer who I would highly recommend. I had him for my wedding on Fripp island and the pictures were perfect. John is great with capturing the true feelings and energy of the event, without a lot of the traditional posed pictures (although we got some great ones of those too!).

Where do I even begin? We were recommended to Wollwerth Imagery by our wedding coordinator, Lisa Manning with Southern Weddings. We interviewed two photographers, and our first photographer's work was not even comparable to John's with Wollwerth Imagery. We were fortunate enough to have our engagement pictures shot by John as well months before our wedding. With not being familiar with South Carolina, I was unsure as to how or what our engagement session would look like. I had suggested to John what we were looking for and he captured just that and more. I loved that John's work was edgy, yet still touching on our interests and personalities. I laugh because during our engagement session, he had us hiking through sand dunes to reach the best possible area to shoot. I could not be more pleased with his work and not only was I extremely impressed with our engagement pictures, but I'm dying to see our wedding pictures. Lastly, during our wedding reception, John had already previewed some of the days pictures to our guests over his personal laptop. My guests were amazed as to how quick he worked. My family was stunned by his work and knew that we had entrusted in someone great. I can't thank John enough for capturing two of our most memorable live events. I highly recommend John with Wollwerth Imagery if you are in the South Carolina area. You will be amazed with his work.

John's work was amazing. Most couples go to great lengths to select a picturesque location for their wedding. John has a special talent for pulling in the beautiful surroundings but maintianing the wedding couple as the focus of the picture. He has a very creative eye. I would highly recommend his work to anybody.

John and his crew were exceptional in all aspects. I would definitely recommend Wollwerth Imagery to anyone in the area or otherwise, no matter what the occasion. During the ceremony and reception he was a photography ninja; he was everywhere at once and managed to get all the best shots. Pricing was fair, and was about what I'd expect to pay with any professional photography service. My wife and I were very pleased.

I truly did not notice that John was there - he gets an incredible amount of shots in a short period of time so you don't have to spend a lot of time posing if you don't want to. His candids and action shots are flawless - he absolutely captured the energy and fun spirit of our event. Our portraits were also amazing. I cannot speak highly enough of John's work. He also nailed our engagement photos a year ago, so I was very confident going in to the wedding :)

John did a fantastic job on our wedding photographs. We see many other photographers' work in the area, and think his is the best. He is worth the extra money! He was very professional and had a quick turn-time. We even got a sneak peek of a few photographs on our wedding night, which was a great treat.
