Melinda was wonderful to work with and everything we were looking for! She was super friendly and helpful during the planning process and created the perfect ceremony for us. We received so many compliments with multiple people asking if she was a relative of ours since it was so good. Absolutely magical!!
We wanted a non-faith based ceremony but still wanted to make it special and meaningful. It was hard to find someone who we thought respected our beliefs and who truly wanted to be apart of our special day. Melinda molded all of our wants and needs together so easily! She was the PERFECT fit for us! Not once did she mention or push anything on us and that was SO important for us to truly feel loved and respected even when we wanted to add in Buddhist elements in our ceremony. Our wedding was last minute and we were so lucky for her to have an opening for us. With my 2 year old running around along with being outside in the cold, she was professional and she helped everything feel organic. She's dedicated and you can tell she loves what she does! Thanks again, Melinda! You helped make our day ABSOLUTELY MAGICAL! We will never forget you. 🙏

Melinda did such an amazing job! Everyone loved her and even though we only met a couple of times, she worked hard to get to know us and our families. Great sense of humor and had so many laughing, smiling and even crying during the ceremony. I would definitely recommend her for any wedding.

Reverend Melinda was the best choice for our wedding officiant. She made us feel very confident and relaxed during the entire process especially during our rehearsal and actual wedding. She single handedly helped calm the groom down with her soothing spirit as I walked down the aisle. During rehearsal she let everyone know exactly what they needed to do and helped make the process quite efficient when we had 17 rowdy bridal party members. She really cares about every detail and you can personalize your wedding however you wish. Her husband took beautiful pictures from both days as well and emailed them immediately! That was so sweet :) We would only choose her!

We were really glad to have Rev. Melinda Fosse as our Wedding Officiant. She was extremely kind, patient, enthusiastic and helpful throughout the process. Even with a lot of ambiguity in our wedding date, she was flexible and ready to adjust per our schedule. Wonderful Officiant!
Melinda was a WONDERFUL officiant and we can’t recommend her enough!! She was kind, helpful, responsive, and dependable - we couldn’t have asked for more! My husband and I didn’t know where to start when it came to finding an officiant for our wedding, but we’re so glad that we found Melinda! She always responded to our questions in a timely manner and gave us many options to choose from when deciding what to include in our ceremony. Due to COVID 19, we were unable to meet with her in-person until our rehearsal, the day before our wedding. She arrived at the rehearsal totally prepared and did a fantastic job walking us through the ceremony. On our wedding day she did a beautiful job!! Melinda was professional with a great sense of humor
When my wife and I started looking at wedding officiants, even though we lived more than 3 hours away we knew that Melinda was the Reverend for us. We called her a year in advance, even though she doesn’t usually book that far out, she was kind enough to have us call her back in January. We talked several times about, how in just 1 phone conference we knew that with her personality, she was the one. When we called her back in January, we were so excited that she saved our date (10-05-2019) for us. In those 10 months Melinda sent us a lot of material that we could look over and make the choices that we wanted to put our ceremony together, she was adamant that this was our day. Even so, she gave us some suggestions that we could use to make our wedding day personal to us and our families. Believe me, she has done this many times and it shows. She made our day perfect with just the right amount of professionalism and humor. She also made it extremely easy to customize our ceremony because it is evident she has done this for quite a bit of time. A perfect experience
My wife and I are extremely happy with our decision to hire Melinda as the officiant for our wedding. Melinda is lovely, prompt and amazing value for money. She cared about who we were as people and allowed us to tailor our ceremony to how we wanted it. Melinda even went above and beyond when I experienced a suit malfunction mere minutes before the ceremony was due to begin when she pulled out a small sewing kit and fixed me up right then and there. Melinda was super friendly from the beginning! At our first meeting with her we already felt at ease with her conducting our ceremony and didn’t even have to meet with anyone else. She was so kind to our son Darryl who I think won her heart. She is very prompt with emails when asking questions and let’s you customize your own ceremony based on your needs. Her husband Larry took great candid shots for us at both the rehearsal and on the wedding day so we have something until our photographer’s photos are ready. Melinda was fantastic! She coordinated the entire ceremony with us and let us choose our own path on what we would like included in the ceremony. Her husband came along as well and took great pictures. We had a fantastic ceremony! She made sure to include humor as well and was very patient with a nervous bride and groom!

Rev. Melinda Fosse was so wonderful. We couldn't have been happier with our wedding ceremony. She made sure the ceremony had all of the components we wanted, fit our personalities and was also entertaining. All of our guests raved about how great it was. But most importantly Rev. Fosse was a joy to work with. She revised the ceremony several times to make sure it was perfect for us and made us feel at ease throughout the whole process. It was all perfect.

Melinda was absolutely amazing! She responded to our emails right away and made the rehearsal and ceremony fun for everyone! She has an amazing sense of humor and helped my husband and I feel relaxed before the big day! We're so glad to have found Melinda when we did and are happy we selected her to be our officiant. My wife and I began our search to officiate our wedding in March 2017 for our wedding held on September 2, 2017.We were recommended several officiants from other wedding vendors. We contacted them but did not receive calls back or the officiants were unaffordable. We found Melinda on wedding wire and were impressed by the number of great reviews. We gave her a call and she immediately set up a meeting time and location that worked with both of our schedules. Upon meeting Melinda, we knew she was the one for us. She took a genuine interest in our relationship and wanted to get to know us better. Shortly after the meeting, we asked Melinda to be our officiant and we could not have made a better decision. She was attentive and responsive throughout the entire process. She wrote a beautiful ceremony with many different options. She helped us with perfecting our vows and even added sweet humor to our ceremony. Melinda also kept us on schedule by reminding us of items that we needed to send to her for the ceremony. This was great because we are very busy! We scheduled the rehearsal with the reception hall and Melinda did not hesitate to make time in her schedule to accommodate it. Melinda was timely to all meetings including our initial meeting, rehearsal and most importantly our wedding. We did not have to worry about anything. She guided us throughout the rehearsal and ceremony. We had a beautiful wedding ceremony and we have to give the credit to Melinda. Melinda got the most compliments by far over the venue, food, cake and many other aspects of our wedding. Our wedding guests loved the ceremony and several remarked at how it was the most touching and beautiful ceremony that they had ever seen. We would highly recommend Melinda for her officiant services.

Melinda was awesome. She met with us, got to know us, and worked with us to put together a ceremony that was unique to me and my wife. She did a fantastic job during the ceremony, as well as quickly preparing the wedding party at the rehearsal dinner. The most frequent comment I got at the reception (besides congratulations, of course) was guests telling me how much they enjoyed the ceremony and what a great job the officiant did. It made our special day that much more special!

Melinda was so amazing. She was always available to answer all my questions and was so flexible with everything. My family is Presbyterian and my husband's family is Muslim (neither of us are very religious though) so she did an amazing job making sure our ceremony was religion neutral and more of a focus on love and commitment. We interviewed quite a few officiants we found on wedding wire before choosing Melinda and we just couldn't be happier with our choice. She had an outline of the ceremony including different options of wordings for vows etc. so we could choose exactly what we wanted and knew what to expect the day of the wedding. She was fabulous!

Melinda was wonderful. First of all, I planned my wedding from 700 miles away. Talk about stress! From the first phone call Melinda was amazing. She really took a great direction for our ceremony and personalized it to fit my husband and myself perfectly. Everything was so special and memorable. I was thrilled with how the ceremony went and I could not believe the number of people that came up to me at the reception and complimented the ceremony. There was literally laughter and tears all throughout the ceremony. I am so thankful I found Melinda.

Melinda is FANTASTIC! She is extremely easy and fun to work with. This was our second marriage and we wanted a relaxed ceremony. Melinda taylored the ceremony to reflect our personalities and include our children. We opted to write our own vows and our daughters did readings, there was not a dry eye in the house -including Melinda! I could go on and on about how great the day was, but the bottom line is she was great and we wouldn't change a thing!
Melinda's husband, Larry, is a photographer and he took our wedding photos. They are a AWESOME!

Both my husband and I are very glad we picked Melinda as our officiant. She was easygoing, professional and a pleasure to work with. When searching for an officiant, we communicated our desire to have a secular ceremony that reflected our interests and personalities. Melinda was very accommodating and tailored the ceremony to fit us as a couple. She gave us suggestions, such as including a wine box ceremony and writing our own vows, to accommodate our wish to make the ceremony personal. In the end, our guests were coming up to us at the reception raving about how much they loved the ceremony. For that, we thank Melinda as she was really the brains behind the entire thing!

I can't say enough positive things about "With These Words," and the officiant, Melinda Fosse. She is an amazing gifted person and truly made our wedding so special and memorable, with all her special touches. She was so kind and helpful, responded very quickly to all my e-mails, and gave us a million great ideas (as I didn't know where to start)! I wanted something a little more traditional, and my fiancee wanted something nontraditional, and she did a beautiful job of making us both so happy, with suggestions, her relaxed style and wonderful sense of humor. I can't tell you how many people at our wedding raved about her, and asked us where we found her! She made our ceremony so meaningful and special and we won't forget her. We wanted a non-religious wedding ceremony and she wrote truly beautiful words based on our story, it was really personal. She also added some word from our cultural backgrounds, it was really lovely.

Melinda was an amazing officiant for our Newport Aquarium wedding. She was very caring and detail orientated. Melinda was able to stay in contact and keep up with all of the necessary last minute changes. From the moment I met her, I felt an instant connection. She was so warm and friendly that the ceremony was a lot less intimidating once we got started. She really made us the focus of her attention, and you could tell she takes pride in her work. We met with her over a year before our actual wedding date, but within weeks of meeting she sent us templates to look at to help her design our ceremony! She was full of ideas on how to make our ceremony unique, but she also helped us add our own touches. We were firm on having a non-denominational wedding and she was happy to help us make that happen. We got so many compliments from our wedding guests about how wonderful she was. Melinda Fosse recently officiated at my daughter's wedding on August 1, 2015. She met with my daughter and her fiance and had conversations about the kind of ceremony that would best represent them as a couple. Melinda understood their interest in a traditional, yet contemporary ceremony that would reflect their backgrounds. She was always prompt in responding to questions and very supportive. Melinda helped guide them to a very personally crafted ceremony. Melinda was very calm and professional at both the rehearsal and ceremony. I particularly was touched by the candle symbolizing those who had passed away in their lives. She infused the ceremony with dignity, warmth, humor and personalized comments. I would highly recommend her as a wonderful person to join together a couple in a strong birth to a union.

Rev. Melinda was able to accommodate our quick decision to get married by fitting us into a Saturday morning ceremony. My husband & I met with the Reverend, talked about ourselves, what we envisioned, tossed around some ideas. She gave me a listing of vows that she had prepared which helped make our selection easier. We wanted to make our ceremony unique...so the ideas aided in accumulating our ceremony wording....she added a sentence by mentioning departed loved ones that couldn't be with us on our special day which touched us both. The finalization was all done easily through email. Rev. Melinda made us both feel as if we were the only ones in the room...and that is what is it about...just US. You can tell she loves seeing the happiness of the event and the development of the ceremony. Our wedding couldn't have been better.

Rev. Fosse was the Officiant at our wedding, and I cannot possibly say enough wonderful things about her! She was recommended to us by our venue, and I am so happy we went with her! We met with Rev Fosse twice before our big day and she took the time to get to know us and catered the entire ceremony to fit us perfectly. My husband was a little nervous about writing his own vowels, and Rev. Fosse helped him out and gave him tons of examples to help get him started. I cannot say enough great things about Melinda Fosse. We were married in November 2014 and from the moment we sat down for our introductory meeting I knew she would be the officiant for our wedding (she was the first and only one we met with!). She had an ease of talking with us that immediately made us feel comfortable and special. Throughout the planning process she was flexible, patient, responsive, and truly a joy to work with. We were able to customize our ceremony for our needs and she guided us through each step - providing many different ideas and examples of what had worked well in her experience. I thought our rehearsal would be chaotic since we weren't really sure what to do, but Melinda swooped in and ran the whole thing efficiently - making everyone laugh at the same time! Because of Melinda, the ceremony went off without a hitch. At one point she whispered to my husband that he should high five our flower girl for doing such a great job. Little things like that truly made a difference in the mood and tone of the event. Many of our guests complimented us afterward for having such an authentic and romantic ceremony; Melinda certainly played a huge part in that!

She incorporated all of our guests into our ceremony. She went above and beyond to make sure our ceremony was perfect! She even brought her husband along to take awesome pictures that she sent to me the day after our wedding! Everyone of my guests made a positive comment about how she was the best officiant that they have ever seen at a wedding! I most definitely recommend her to everyone!

My husband and I found ourselves without an officiant about a month before our wedding. Frantic, we searched through every listing on Wedding Wire and Melinda stuck out to both of us as someone who seemed compatible with our personalities and could provide the services we wanted. She promptly replied to our inquiry and we set up a time for the three of us to speak on the phone (we were planning the wedding from 8 hours away, and Melinda was very flexible with us). We loved chatting with her and we really felt like wanted to get to know us so she could create a ceremony that fit our personalities and needs. My husband and I wanted to create a ceremony that would be tasteful for all parties involved, as we had just about every religion (and non-religion) represented at our ceremony by our families, friends, and ourselves. Melinda sent us a draft of the ceremony that included several different options throughout so that we could have significant input in what was included in the ceremony. She promptly replied to any questions we had and sent drafts of the ceremony back very quickly. We finally got to meet Melinda at our rehearsal the evening before the ceremony, and she was a delight! The rehearsal went splendidly and having Melinda's expertise to help us with mapping out the ceremony was fantastic. The ceremony itself was great, and Melinda handled a sudden rainstorm during our outdoor ceremony with poise. We received SO many compliments from our family and friends afterwords about how lovely the ceremony was, how much they loved our vows, and that the added bits of humor were great.
We can't thank Melinda enough for making our ceremony so wonderful. We don't think it would have been nearly as good and as memorable without her. As an added bonus, her husband took some awesome pictures at our rehearsal and ceremony that were great to have.

Melinda was the first person we met with to discuss performing our wedding ceremony. After the meeting, we were certain she was the right person for us. She provided us with many examples of what our ceremony could be. We had a lot of questions and revisions to the wording of our ceremony and she accommodated us every step of the way and allowed us to create our own unique ceremony. She conducts herself in a professional, yet warm manner. Now it feels as though Melinda is a part of our family.

I’m positive that we could not have found a better officiant for our wedding ceremony. I was referred to Melinda so I already had a good feeling about working with her, but my initial contact with her proved she was the one for us! The first time I sent her an email inquiring about her services, she responded within moments and was upfront and honest about her work style, prices, etc. I was pleased that she wanted to meet my husband and me to be able to speak honest words of us during our ceremony. She took this one meeting to really get to know our personalities and why we feel so special to one another-which was evident through her words during our ceremony. On our wedding day, our ceremony was the most important thing to us! Melinda helped us to make our ceremony EXACTLY what we wanted-including great humor! She had wonderful suggestions, but always waited for us to find what we wanted most and was flexible when we decided we wanted to make changes. This was all done over email after our initial meeting which was so convenient. We were married outside, and despite Melinda’s fear of storms, she spoke every word of our ceremony-even through the strong wind, thunder, and even the couple strikes of lightening! She knew this was such a precious moment for us and was going to do everything in her power to make it amazing! We had numerous compliments on how beautiful our ceremony was. Her husband even came along and took great pictures of both our rehearsal dinner and ceremony-which she emailed to me almost instantly! What a great bonus that was! I would highly recommend working with Melinda for your wedding!

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! My husband and I met with Melinda once. Right away we knew she was the one to officiate our ceremony. We shared our story and tid bits about ourselves. Over a few emails we shared more information on how we wanted our ceremony. She created a personal, lighthearted, and all around fun ceremony. This is just what we wanted. We received many compliments on her at the reception. Her husband even took some pictures of the rehearsal and the ceremony. It was a nice surprise to get those in an email. I can't express just how happy we are that we picked Melinda to be our officiant.

When we started searching for our officiant we really had no idea how many officiant options and ceremony options there were. Thankfully, we stumbled upon Miranda and With These Words and she guided us through everything quite easily.
We had no idea how or what was all included in the actual ceremony and she gave us templates and options to chose from to customize the ceremony to us. She was reliable and helpful and we would recommend her to anyone looking for an officiant.

Melinda came highly recommended to my us by a friend who was also using her to officiate his ceremony in October 2013. We liked Melinda right away and appreciated the thoughtful questions she asked us at our first meeting. She also gave us several suggestions and guidance as we needed it, but always reminded us that the ceremony, the words, and the day was ours. Melinda kept us on track by sending us reminders to get our script back to her and ran the rehearsal, which we appreciated. Our guests could not stop talking about the ceremony. They loved it and thought Melinda did a wonderful job blending traditional and non-traditional touches.

Our wedding was the best wedding I have ever been to. Obviously, I am biased, but I think if it were anyone else's wedding, it would still be just as magical to me - in large part due to Melinda. We had met with several officiants before Melinda who we both wanted to like, but they just didn't seem to get it. The moment I spoke with Melinda on the phone, I had a good feeling. When we left our first meeting with her, both my husband and I could not stop smiling. We knew right away that she, in fact, did GET IT. She was flexible with everything we wanted to include/exclude from our ceremony and presented a few ideas to us that helped us round out our ceremony. I am still getting comments from people almost 3 weeks later that it was the most original and beautiful ceremony they have ever been to. That means a lot because, to us, the ceremony sets the tone for the rest of the celebration. Melinda certainly gave everyone a reason to celebrate our love. My husband and I were married on September 14th, 2013 by Rev. Melinda Fosse. We had no idea what to expect when searching for an officiant to marry us, UNTIL we met Melinda. She was the first and only officiant we met with and we knew after an hour of chatting over coffee that she was undeniably the perfect fit for us. We felt like we had known her for years instead of minutes. She is so warm and caring and it's obvious how much she cares about her profession. From start to finish, Melinda made our wedding ceremony such an enjoyable experience. The best compliments came from our guests, who said it was the best wedding ceremony they had ever heard. We knew that we loved it, but it was so nice to hear that our guests enjoyed it as much as we did. Melinda does an excellent job of incorporating the brides and grooms wishes for the ceremony, as well as personalizing it for the size and location of the wedding. My husband and I were both a little sad when the ceremony was over because it meant that our "working relationship" with Melinda was over. We still keep in touch with her and would highly recommend her for anyone looking for a very special and memorable wedding ceremony!

My husband and I got married on October 5th 2013 and we cannot find enough kind words to say about Rev. Melinda Fosse. She was the first and only officiant we met with. We knew right away she was the one we wanted to perform our ceremony. She was there for us from the day we told her we wanted her to the end.
We met her in person and we talked about the kind of ceremony we wanted. From there she provided us with a "template" with many examples from everything from vows to the unity ceremony.
We were able to change and add what we wanted to the ceremony as she was very flexible. It will not matter if you are religious or more spiritual or neither. Melinda will help you make your ceremony exactly how YOU want it.
She also made me feel at ease during our rehearsal as she made sure everyone knew exactly where they should be and went over a backup plan in case it rained since we had an outside ceremony (which it almost did).
We also chose to write our own vows and she was very helpful in sending us reminder emails to get those to her as we were both so busy in the other aspects of planning.
In the end we trusted her, she was flexible, reliable, so nice, very fair priced and we could not have asked for a better officiant. We highly recommend her. Our ceremony was perfect.
And as a bonus after we got married, even though we had a photographer, she emailed us pics and mailed us a CD with pics that her husband took during the ceremony. They were very good pictures and it was nice to get those right away when pictures take a while to get back from your photographer. We did not expect this so that was a very nice surprise.

We live out of town and made plans to wed in Cincinnati after plans fell through locally and she recommended a beautiful park and it was as if she knew that this spot would fit us perfectly. There was a mocking bird singing and it was gorgeous!! The ceremony could not have been delivered better by someone who had known us for a long time. Her words were so sincere and the blessings she prayed for our marriage really meant the world to us. Her husband also took some really nice photographs. As we drove away my husband and I agreed that God wanted her to marry us. Our original date not only fell through but ended up being all rainy but the day was beautiful and Melinda was a God send. My husband and I married this past summer in an outdoor ceremony. When we began our wedding planning process we knew that we would have some personal challenges. We are an interfaith couple and wanted to be sure that our ceremony truly represented us as individuals and as a couple. We met Melinda for coffee and knew right away that she was a perfect fit for us. She encouraged us to work together as a team to develop our own ceremony, yet she was there all along for guidance. It's so funny, the post-wedding comments you hear from friends and family rarely center on the ceremony, but our guests could not stop talking about how personal it was, and how well it suited our personalities and beliefs.
