A fabulous unique venue in the heart of winter park

The Winter Park Events Center crew were absolute gems to work with, they answered every little question I had and helped us with some great suggestions along the way. We had a fairly small wedding for the space (it can fit like 250 and we were approx 80), but the space was perfect. People were in awe of how beautiful a venue it is. The ease of seeing the calendar of dates available online made this such a quick and easy decision from the start, but the kindness that Joel and Alexandra and the staff had was the best. If you're looking for a unique space that is truly transformable to your vision, with support by a great staff... look no further!

Gorgeous space with wonderful staff!

My now-husband and I went to this venue and neighboring library during it's opening weekend, and mentioned to each other that this would be a stunning place to get married. Fast forward to getting engaged and starting the venue hunting process, this was the first place we considered. Once we had an initial tour, we knew we didn't want to look elsewhere. Leon, Joel, and Alexandra took great care of us during the planning process and were so accommodating to all of our questions. The venue is obviously stunning, but it really was the perfect backdrop to our celebration. I cannot recommend the people or the space enough.

The Perfect Reception

From the moment I walked into the Winter Park Events Center, I knew it was the place I wanted our reception for our wedding to be held! The amount of space you get is truly amazing. Cocktail hour was on the roof and many of our guests loved it! The space did not feel crowded at all with 110 guests plus all of our vendors. The Winter Park Events Center Team has been so helpful since day one. I have gotten multiple comments on our wedding photos and how well those turned out!

The space speaks for itself, but the team is fabulous!

Joel is truly a breath of fresh air and an absolute pleasure to work with from beginning to end! Joel met with my husband and I AND our vendors multiple times to talk everything through from layout, back up plans if weather was an issue, and overall success of our wedding at the Winter Park Event Center and I cannot properly put into words how great he was! He made my husband and I feel a mixture of extreme excitement while also feeling completely at ease each step of the way that everything would be perfect on our wedding day… AND HE WAS 100% CORRECT! He was attentive and extremely responsive to any questions or concerns from our side while also knocking the “day of” duties out of the park! If the WP Event Center's beauty, location, and layout wasn’t enough for us to have loved our wedding day; Joel was the cherry on top!!! We cannot thank him and the entire staff of the event center enough and 10/10 recommend if you’re thinking of hosting ANY event to give them a call!!!

Magical wedding!

Thank you WPFM for a great venue. It was truly magical and the space inside is just beautiful! pur guests loved the charm of the building and we had our open bar and photo book on the patio and it was perfect! It allowed guests to enjoy dancing inside and still enjoy the festivities outside too! It was truly perfect! we did add an extra hour to make sure our vendors had plenty of extra time to set up but WPFM always accommodated and worked with us. Sometimes it took them a day or two to respond but they were always very helpful. Thanks for making our wedding magical!!

Beautiful location, great value

This park is so serene and breathtaking. The gorgeous trees covered in moss and a spot overlooking the lake for our ceremony. We couldn’t have asked for a better location for our intimate wedding. Planning was so easy and the price was unbeatable.

Perfect Wedding Venue

This is such a beautiful place to have a wedding at. After reading all of the reviews I was actually afraid I was not going to book it in time. I ended up having a last minute wedding with 4 Months to plan and fortunately they were available for the date that I wanted which was October 4th ! The venue literally decorates itself and the lighting inside is amazing. I had my ceremony in the patio area, and the only thing I would say that sucks about it is the train. Luckily the train passed a couple of minutes after we were done with the ceremony! Samantha was my point of contact and let me tell you she is such a great person to work with ! She answered all of my questions and even made me feel a little calmer about the setup of everything. You just need to send her a drawing of where you want the tables and the sizes and once you get there they are already set up. My wedding was small and intimate and this was the perfect place for it! I had candles on the tables so it gave it more of that romantic feel. I would definitely recommend people to have their wedding here. The price is unbelievable ! It was worth every penny.

Great venue for the price

This is the best bang-for-your-buck venue in the central Florida region. I booked this venue about 15 months out since I read that this venue books up quick. Anyone who has their heart set on this venue, let me tell you, it's worth the wait. I loved how the ceremony and reception were all in the same location; we didn't have to worry about guest transportation whatsoever. Janna was a major help in ensuring I had all my needs taken care of. The day-of employee was friendly and let me hide in the office before the ceremony. Overall, money well spent!

Winter Park, FL

This venue was perfect for my daughter's cocktail hour and wedding reception! The cocktail hour started at 5:00 and was on the outdoor patio. The bar was set up on the patio and stayed there all evening. We had a string duo playing there for the cocktail hour which added to the atmosphere. The reception inside was beautiful. The ceiling lights were magical and the only other lights we had came from the fairy lights in the centerpieces. The venue was clean as were the bathrooms. With the tables set up and the decor in place the room was beautiful. Many guests commented on how beautiful the venue was and how unique the look was. We had close to 130 guests and the space was not crowded. We had 14 round tables and one sweetheart table, the DJ, buffet table and small tables near the door and there was still ample room for the dance floor. Guests were able to take advantage of the outdoor patio where the bar was and the inside area where the music was. Thank you all at the Farmer's Market for making their wedding reception so beautiful and memorable!

Absolutely perfect!

The Winter Park Farmers Market was the absolute perfect venue for our wedding! The old brick train station is such a unique location right in Downtown Winter Park. Such a beautiful setting in a beautiful town. Tables, chairs, and lighting are included which was a plus. There was plenty of room for our crowd and the patio was a great space for our bar and for people to mingle. I can’t say enough about the Farmers’ Market and about the friendliness and professionalism of the staff at the City of Winter Park.

We chose Winter Park Farmers Market for our wedding reception and couldn't have been happier. We fell in love with the space instantly and knew it would make the perfect backdrop to our vintage travel themed wedding. When it came down to reserving the space, we found out we weren't the only couple in love with it. There was a wait of a year and a half! We could have picked a date only a year out but it would have been August and we were not interested in sweating, knowing that the ceremony would be outside. We decided to wait and ended up having a December wedding even though we were originally thinking October. No worries though, it ended up being the perfect day and the perfect weather and the perfect venue. We loved how everything came together and how awesome the space was. We also loved how we didn't have any restrictions on vendors. The only real restriction was no burlap but fear not, there is a linen company that has an alternative. Look up Brass Pin in Apopka if you are interested in that look. If you are looking for a great venue with an awesome vintage, unique feel, this is definitely the place.

This was the perfect reception venue! It was so easy to work with Janet through the City of Winter Park leading up the event and the day of I couldn't have asked for more. A gorgeous place that creates a fun atmosphere. I would HIGHLY recommend!

The venue was the perfect space for our wedding! We had roughly 100 guests and loved that tables and chairs were included. Just be aware, the venue does book well in advance! They allow outside vendors, which offered great flexibility. Nearly all our other vendors had worked events at the venue before, so this made for a seamless night!

This place is beautiful! They have a gorgeous patio for a ceremony and a huge indoor space for dancing and seating. You do have to find your own vendors for everything, but it is worth every penny, and it was definitely inexpensive compared to other spaces we saw! The aesthetics of the space is gorgeous.

Best.decision.ever.

Had the reception here and the ceremony off-site. The space is an old train station and is BEAUTIFUL. It is run by the city of Winter Park so it is one of the most inexpensive reception sites in Central FL and is super flexible. You can choose any caterer, bring your own liquor and they have tables and chairs there (chairs are kinda ugly so we rented but were told they were buying new ones).

The only negative is that this place is booked well in advance. You probably need to book at least a year in advance for fall/winter weddings. Other than that the staff is helpful and the venue was an absolute knockout for us and our guests.

Every single person I worked with were great!! The venue was absolutely beautiful! You don't need much decor because the building speaks for itself...my guests loved the simplicity of everything.

Perfect venue! Affordable and right in the heart of winter park. Great customer service. They set up the tables for my vendors and were available to assist all night. You can pick any vendors you want. We loved this venue and are very happy that we chose it for our wedding reception!!

The civic center was absolutely amazing on our wedding day! The entire reception hall just ended up gorgeous! Because my mother is in a wheelchair, they made everything super easy for us and incredibly handi-cap friendly. They offered us one of the side rooms to get ready in and accommodated us with anything we needed. Our logo up on the arch walls turned out fabulous too! Orlando's Got Talent DJ made it for us and it was a huge success up on the wall - all the guests loved it. Highly recommend the Civic Center in Winter Park!

We loved our venue. The history of the building speaks for itself. Don't worry too much about decorating, it's an absolutely gorgeous setting with the brick and hanging lights. The staff was communicative and easy going. They will set the chairs and tables up for you.

However, if you are dead set on a rustic theme with burlap, you may want to reconsider. The venue is strict about no burlap.

We had our ceremony by the bridge, cocktail hour on the patio, and reception inside the ballroom. Aside from a few decor restrictions, the Winter Park Civic Center is an amazingly flexible. It is a blank canvas for you to do with it as you please. Cindy was a pleasure to work with and she answered all of my questions/concerns in a timely manner (trust me there were a lot). I would highly recommend stopping by to view the venue. The possibilities are endless!

We used the Civic Center for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and receptions. We had our ceremony out on the lawn in front of the bridge due to the number of guest we had. We fit 170 guest out there very comfortably, and it was beautiful. Our cocktail hour was on the back patio. The reception was inside and it was perfect! We took advantage of the extra room to give us more space and was so happy we did. We loved the tall ceiling and wall of windows, it had such an open and warm feeling. The staff was very helpful during the entire planning process and answered any questions we had. Loved the view with the ponds and walking trails. Was a beautiful venue!!!!

We booked our upcoming wedding ceremony and reception for here. They are very accommodating and very helpful. I couldn't have picked a better place. I looked at several other locations and this place has exactly what we are looking for! You can choose your own Vendors! They set up tables and chairs for you. I'm loving it!!

I loved this venue and the endless possibilities. With all the character the space has and the garden lights from the ceiling there is no need to over decorate. Winter park is just beautiful. Everyone that I interacted with through the City of Winter Park was extremely helpful. They truly wanted to make sure our day was absolutely perfect. Some many people commented on how wonderful the venue was and they truly enjoyed the night.

We had both our ceremony and reception at the civic center. We had a wonder experience! The center was affordable, spacious, they provide table and chairs, including ceremony chairs, and set everything up to your approved floor plan. They have (tiny) dressing rooms available for the bride and groom. This was the perfect place for our rustic chic wedding!

Working with Cindy Giles to get everything organized for my wedding was seamless. I really enjoyed working with her. She was very flexible and helpful. I could trust that everything was going to work out perfectly for my wedding day. Also, it was such a beautiful and peaceful spot with great areas for pictures. The people who worked at the center were also very helpful the day of the wedding make sure everything was running smoothly. I highly recommend using the Winter Park Civic Center as your Ceremony and Reception Venue.

We just stumbled across this venue when we were planning my daughter's wedding. We were so surprised to find this beautiful building and outdoor area that we had had never heard about previously. The staff from my first phone call to the day of the wedding were helpful and extremely accommodating to our needs. The outdoor patio where the wedding took place was a perfect setting with chairs and setup being included in the price. The ballroom with the huge ceilings and architectural details made it a gorgeous setting for the wedding reception. Everything we requested, they did for us and really allowed us to use areas for dressing both the groomsmen and bridal party that we were not charged extra for which included a wet bar in each area. We felt it was a magical night in many ways due to this beautiful building, which also included plenty of free parking as well. The green area and wooden arched bridges are great photo ops too.

You will not find a venue as unique as the WPFM. It is the perfect setting for a rustic/vintage wedding - and for much less expensive than many other venues! Make sure to book way ahead of time (at least a year), it fills up fast! :) The building has amazing charm, plenty of space, and permits you to bring in all of your own vendors (including supplying your own alcohol) which allows you to create a truly customized event. Everyone at the office is so friendly, helpful, and very quick to respond. We had our ceremony off-site and had our guests return to the Farmer's Market for cocktail hour on the patio and the reception inside. It was amazing!

This is a beautiful venue. It is for small intimate weddings. We had 20 guests including ourselves. It was perfect. The setting has huge cypress trees and overlooks a lake. There are these huge Greek pillars that create a beautiful natural backdrop to your wedding ceremony.

The Rachel D. Murrah Civic Center was a perfect venue for my daughter's wedding. It is very spacious and very affordable. The staff was extremely helpful and courteous. The outside area was beautiful for the ceremony and the Ballroom was very easy to decorate. We accommodated 145 people with plenty of room for a very large dance floor area. We were allowed to select our own vendors for catering and other needs. I would highly recommend this venue for weddings.

This was my first choice of a venue so wedding date was dictated by what was available. It was amazing and everything looked incredible. We played into the rustic theme and are still hearing how cool it was.

This is a beautiful venue, you truly do not need much at all to make it a wonderful wedding! There is plenty of space, the responses to emails were prompt, they instantly returned our deposit after the wedding, I can't say enough good things! My only warning is that they do book their weekend dates about 18 months in advance or more, so if you're considering it as a venue, BOOK SOON! They let you bring in all your own vendors, no approval list required. In Orlando, this is unheard of! You can literally use anyone you want, bring in your own alcohol, everything. It allowed us to customize our wedding experience to truly be everything we wanted it to be.

I simply cannot say enough how awesome WPFM is. It is a true gemstone of Winter Park. The staff, especially Janet Paul were extremely helpful in planning our wedding there! Their response time on calls/emails was astounding. There's a reason the WPFM books so quickly for weddings and events, it's simply gorgeous. Having a venue that included a kitchen, restrooms, AC, and all the tables and chairs was incredible for us and our guests. I could not recommend another venue in Central Florida above the WPFM.

Winter Park Farmer's Market was my first choice for our venue because of it's rustic and historic train station charm. We are having a 1920s speakeasy theme wedding and are on a tight budget. This venue was 300 deposit and then 140 an hour. Which is a steal not only was the price good but the management of the property are very helpful and you can bring your own catering and anything else you want. This was the perfect place to have our wedding and reception! We had a beautiful outdoor ceremony and our reception was in the awesome ballroom! The staff were so nice and very accommodating! Everything was set up in a timely manner. They allowed me to choose any vender I wanted which was great!

The Winter Park Civic Center was an excellent choice to have both our ceremony and reception. The venue was beautiful and perfectly suited for 120 guests (could have fit more and would have been fine with less guests too). Everyone at the Civic Center was extremely helpful in making sure all of my wedding dreams came true and took extra care with the little details. We were able to use our own caterer and provide our own alcohol, which were two huge pluses. I've heard nothing but rave reviews from our guests. I highly recommend the Civic Center as your wedding location.

The folks over at City of Winter Park are absolute GEMS. They were so sweet and helpful over the phone with the (many) questions I had for them regarding the venue throughout the year I had them booked. As for the venue itself, it's just gorgeous. The hanging light bulbs look incredible in photos and it lends itself to really any theming and color scheme you choose for your event. Our day was so special and beautiful and the venue fit our needs perfectly!

This venue is such a beautiful place for a wedding reception! My fiance and I knew from the moment we saw the place that we just had to get married there. We ended up doing a Friday wedding because the Saturday's were booked up for the next year and a half but our wedding day was perfect and we would not have changed a thing! We LOVE the Winter Park Farmers Market!

If you want a venue that is unique and has charm, this is the perfect venue! The staff was friendly and easy to work with and the creative freedom is incredible. You can choose any vendors your heart desires! They have tables and chairs for you to use as well and it's included in the rental price. Everyone who came to the wedding was talking about what an amazing venue it was! The train came by too and really made my night special :) It was so perfect for the bride who doesnt want the typical ballroom!

We could not have been happier having our wedding reception at the Farmer's Market. It is such a gorgeous venue - not much need for any decorations, it is beautiful all on its own! It was more than enough room for my 100 guests and even had a large dance floor. Everyone of my guests commented on how gorgeous the venue was! I highly recommend using this for a reception or ceremony. We did a sparkler exit, but was told that evening it was not allowed by one of the winter park employees - we were told previously it was not a problem. So if you do plan to do sparklers be sure to check on it beforehand. We still did the exit and haven't had any issues though!

My husband and I were ecstatic to find the Winter Park Farmer's Market as the site of our ceremony and reception. The people we worked with were very helpful and communicated well with us. We were especially happy that they set up and broke down all chairs and tables so we didn't have to worry about hiring a separate team for that.

We had our venue and reception at this location. The day of our wedding we had the venue from 10-midnight, which was perfect. We were able to bring in our own vendors and liquor as well. The staff is very friendly and the outside scenery is beautiful.

The venue is so unique. The ambiance the building sets was exactly what I was looking for. Guests absolutely loved the location. Winter Park is a quaint little town with so much history, and it can be felt while there. The train tracks in the back add to its uniqueness as well. Yes, trains go by and my guests thought it was awesome! (So did we) Management were very responsive and helpful. They even had someone there the day off if we needed anything. They turned the a/c down when I was hot and assisted with the dimming of bistro lighting. It was a great experience!

I couldn't have been happier with the Winter Park Farmers market for our wedding. We were able to be creative and chose any vendors which was really nice! The farmers market is unique and has a lot of charm! This venue is unbelievably beautiful and the the staff was amazing to work with. They always responded to me right away and the value was unmatched for us. First of all all the chairs and the tables are included and they set them up and break them down for you. That was a huge plus for us. The staff workers Janet, Rj and Tyler were amazing to work with. They were extremely flexible, responsive, polite and beyond professional. The venue its completely wired for music inside and out. Not to mention it is very big and has a very open floor plan. Its rustic charm and beauty is worth seeing. I would recommend this venue to anyone.

Out of all of the venues we considered for our wedding, we chose the Winter Park Civic Center (WPCC). We loved the look of both the inside and outside spaces; we ended up using the outside terrace area for our ceremony and the main ballroom plus rooms D & E for our reception (we fit about 150 people plus a dance floor, the buffet tables, and a bar in the space). The ballroom has gorgeous vaulted ceilings and seemed very roomy because of it. Our contacts at the WPCC were Cindy and Janet, who were accommodating and pleasant to work with. We also chose the WPCC because of the flexibility they allowed us in choosing our own caterer, DJ, and other vendors.

This venue is such a good price and so beautiful. We chose to have both our ceremony and reception here and I absolutely loved how it turned out. The space is so pretty that there is hardly any need to do a ton of decorating. The park is great for kids to play outside and the patio is a great place to take photos of the family. Cindy Giles, the chief of Recreation Facilities, was extremely communicative and very prompt with questions. We were planning the wedding from Minnesota so it was such a blessing to have her answer so quickly to all my emails. She sent me photos of what the patio looked like when there were changes and made sure that I had everything I needed. I felt so taken care of! If you're looking for a beautiful reception or ceremony for a great price, please consider the Winter Park Civic Center!

We loved our wedding here. We had the ceremony at the bridge, and the reception inside. Luckily it was a great day out, but if it did rain, they would have done the ceremony inside as a back up plan. Everyone had a great time, the place looked beutiful and it was great having the ceremony and reception at the same place. You should at least go look at it if you're still hunting.

If you live in the central fl area...HAVE YOUR WEDDING HERE!! I had previously reserved Mead Gardens...but after seeing th WPCC i was sold it had everything you need for your ceremony and reception. they provided and set up the white ceremony chairs outside in the back either on the patio, under tree or in front of bridge. we had our ceremony in front of the bridge the lake is a beautiful back drop for the pictures. Cindy and JR are fantastic i think i emailed Cindy everyday lol but she responded to every single question i had. even if it had nothing to do with the place itself. she helped with my floorplan and she reassured me everything will be fine!

Loved this venue! It was perfect for a wedding reception. The staff always responded to my emails quickly and answered questions. They also accommodated all the date changes I made while trying to decide on a day! The lights inside add a sweet ambiance. I just had my reception here. The ceremony was held at a church. Make sure you check with the venue regarding decorations. They have guidelines regarding candles.

This was a great venue for the price. They let you use your own caterer and bring your own alcohol which helps save money. We got a lot of compliments from our guests on the unique venue. We originally planned on having our ceremony at a nearby garden but it began pouring an hour before our wedding. We were able to call the staff at the WPFM and they set up chairs on the covered patio so that we could have our ceremony there.

What a great venue! I can't begin to express how wonderful it was for the wedding I wanted. When my now-husband and I first started wedding planning, we saw many lovely venues in Orlando but they all had different restrictions, for example, some venues were only open till 10 and some venues only let you use their preferred caterers. The Winter Park Civic Center was like a blank canvas. They let us reserve the date we wanted, let us have the building on our date from 11 am till midnight, and let us have any caterer or service we wanted! They had all the furniture for the room and had it set the night before the wedding so it was ready on the day of. They had little to no restrictions. Another plus about them is that the space can accommodate up to 250 people and it is gorgeous! We got married at the foot of the bridge, had our cocktail hour under the lovely terrace, and then moved inside for the reception! The space was amazing! If I had to go back and do my wedding over, I would still choose the Winter Park Civic Center in a heartbeat! :)

There is a lot to say about one's venue. We spent a very long time deciding on where to go for our special day. At the end of the day, we did have a budget to follow and the Winter Park Civic Center offered everything we needed and then some. Not to mention, only allows ONE wedding to go at a time, leaving your wedding to be THE top priority for the day. We were beyond accomodated when it came to picking who we wanted to cater our food, take our photos, and DJ our wedding. The flexibility of who we could use is what really sold us. The center is a blank slate. Room to decorate ANY way you like with very little restrictions. The grounds had places for photo op moments and defnitely gave the outdoor feeling we desperately needed. It was just perfect to get married outside underneath the big Oak tree. All while keeping the indoor reception cool and inviting. The staff were very pleasant. They were available on the wedding day to assist in set up & break down of tables & chairs. The place fit 150 comfortably, with plenty of room for more. It was a great place to host a wedding. Close proximity for most guests with plenty of parking and spacious grounds. Lovely choice.

I had a low budget DIY wedding and the Farmers Market was the perfect place for this. First of all it's a beautiful venue with a lot of character for a low price. Being owned by the city keeps the price down and if you're considering it I suggest you act fast because I booked my date 15 months in advance and someone took my original date only the day before I called. We had the ceremony and cocktail hour on the porch and the reception inside. Since everything is in one spot it makes it a lot easier for the DIY bride and I think hiring a DOC is not necessary. If you do have a lot of set up i would suggest buying an extra hour (normal rental is from 4-12), I had a lot but we made it work (it was a little stressful though). the switch over from ceremony to cocktail hour was a bit confusing for guests i think, make sure you have a plan and people to execute it for you. My plan was that everyone would follow us off the porch to the surrounding area while friends cleared the chairs. People didn't catch on and started moving the chairs themselves until we made an announcement. Over all it was an amazing space and everyone gave me a lot of compliments. Working with the facility was easy too, they returned e-mails and phone calls promptly and on the day of our site manager was very helpful (he dimmed the lights on request and sprang into action when I told him I need to add 2 charis).

Winter Park Civic Center was the perfect place to get married. We searched and met with several venues and no one could compare in price, flexibility or visually. This venue allows you to pick whatever vendors you choose to work with. The best thing was they have a ceremony location so it made it easy for guests to not have to travel between venues. Also, they gave us ample time to set up and take down. Our pictures are gorgeous. I couldn't have asked for more!

If you're a bride that wants her wedding ceremony and reception in the same place, you're smart ;). I always hate traveling between sites, and so being able to keep my guests in one place was a MUST for me. The WPCC is on a beautiful park, but since we had a JULY wedding (muy caliente!) we needed a large, cool space for guests. We loved the look and the accessibility of the WPCC. It has ample parking and space to hang out. The main room was plenty of space for 100 seated guests, three buffet tables, the DJ, and a photo booth. They had a piano in the lobby, so we had a pianist playing as guests arrived. I see that some reviews mention responsiveness was a problem. It wasn't for me, but I would always call during business hours, or leave a message. Cindy even called me the week of the ceremony to go over our information. They have a nice site map that you fill out so that the tables and chairs (inside and outside) are in place by the time your vendors arrive. GREAT VENUE!

If I could give a 10 for value for cost I would absolutely give it! This is such a unique venue and fit our personalities so much better than a golf course or hotel venue. This is one of the only places we found in Orlando that let us use our own caterer which was huge to us since we wouldn't be locked into those oh you are using abc location that means your only option for food is xyz and they will charge you a ridiculous amount because you HAVE to use them.

Beware a Saturday wedding might take over a year for a free weekend, but TOTALLY worth the wait:)

It also worked really good for our 90 person guest list. Too many more than that and it would have felt really crowded.

We had our reception at the WPFM and it was awesome! The ladies in the WP Civic Center who make all the reservations for the WPFM were so flexible. I changed the time I wanted the rental to start 3 times and they were so accommodating. The Farmer's Market just had a little renovation work done and it looked great. It has the rustic brick walls and concrete floor that are amazing. In the renovation, they put a fresh coat of paint on all painted surfaces, added ceiling fans and totally revamped the bathrooms w/ granite countertops. It is a great place to have a reception that will have your guests talking in a very good way; it’s got a uniqueness that you won’t find a hotel ballroom.

We chose the WPCC because we wanted to have an outdoor ceremony with an indoor reception-at the same location. We were also working with a wedding planner and catering company, so we had to find a place that let YOU choose the caterer. Pictures were also very important to me and I wanted to have a nice back drop. The wooden bridge (which was being closed for repair the day after our wedding), lake, and park definitely provided that. The patio where we got married was open but was shaded so it wasn't too hot. We added candles on the surrounding ledges and twinkle lights in the trees, it was just beautiful. The reception hall was also very pretty with large windows opening up to the lake. If you do choose to have a ceremony outside just be aware that it is a public park so there will be other people around (although they generally kept their distance when they saw there was a wedding taking place). They are also a little picky about your exit, you are not allowed to use sparklers or bird seed and you are pretty much limited to bubbles. They have a nice hotel literally next door, which is great for your first night. Overall, our experience with the civic center was great.

I wish I could give more stars for flexibility! We chose WPCC not only because it's in a lovely location on the sinkhole lakes, but also because we could do just about ANYTHING there!! :) We wanted candles on the tables...OK! We wanted hookah pipes outside...OK! Any caterer, any band, any florist...love it. We draped the walls with white fabric, changed the lighting...but it's such a great space, it's like a blank palette. You can do anything with it! I loved working with everyone there, too. So friendly, and so nice. Such a wonderful experience. Highly recommended!

The staff at the Winter Park Civic Center were extremely helpful. They allowed us to see the venue with different vendors several times throughout at the year as we were planning our wedding. They provided tables and chairs for both the outside ceremony and indoor reception, set up for the event, and provided dressing rooms for the bridal party. There was also a large kitchen for the caterer to use. I was very pleased with their service.

The Civic Center staff were so very helpful and accommodating right from the very beginning. They offered suggestions on ceremony and reception set up, provided chairs and tables for the reception as well as for the outside ceremony. On the wedding day, we had rain in the morning but everything cleared and we were able to have the 3:00 ceremony outside as we intended. The staff responded to our every request promptly and quickly. We received many comments on the beautiful interior and exterior. We highly recommend this venue.

Love love love this venue! The space is beautiful and it is located in the heart of Winter Park! The staff is extremely nice. This venue is a dream for DIY brides or brides that hire planners.

Absolutely beautiful and unique venue! They were very clear on all contract terms (what you can/cant bring, what you can/cant hang, etc) so there were never any surprises. I was overall very pleased and would use them again! I gave professionalism a 4.5/5 because there was a misunderstanding the first time I wanted to tour the venue and we ended up waiting over an hour for someone to come show us around and had to tour with another couple. Also, when I sent in my first payment I never received confirmation and then was made to feel like a burden when asking for one. Overall, though, everyone I interacted with was very pleasant and helpful! Keep in mind that you rent the venue by the hour so if you want to be able to set up early, you have to pay for that time!

The Winter Park Farmer's Market was one of the first places we visited and considered for our reception. We had been to a wedding reception there before and loved the atmosphere. We really loved every aspect of the venue and the following are the highlights:
1. It reflected our taste - industrial but elegant. We loved the concrete floors which beautifully reflected the lighting in our photos. We liked the large barn doors and open rafters, the brick walls, as well as the cantina style lighting which was dimmable.
2. Their pricing is extremely reasonable, which is rare for Orlando.
3. The location provides wonderful backdrops and scenery for photos before the reception. We took photos on the train tracks which turned out beautiful.

Cindy, the coordinator here is very helpful and responsive. Everyone was very helpful, and very attentive! The only problem I had was, there were a few items accidentally left at the venue after my wedding was over, and I felt as though someone could have called to let me know they found my/my family's belongings that were left behind. I mean, as much as we paid for the venue, that's the least they could do, right?

The moment my husband and I walked into the Farmer's Market, we knew we had the right venue! It's a beautiful building that doubled as both our ceremony venue and our reception venue. We held our ceremony on the covered porch outside and the reception inside. The ambiance of the building was very natural, which is exactly how we are. We made one change after submitting our floor plan, and that was changing the first two tables to 10 people instead of 8 people. The tables weren't changed, but luckily, 4 people were MIA, so it worked out for the best!!

This venue is wonderful. Cindy and her staff are absolutely the sweetest people you will ever meet! They were so accomidateing to all the questions I had throughout the planning process not to mention they helped set up and clean up at the end of the night so that my family could get home. They even sprayed for ants the night before to make sure the guests attending the wedding would not have any problems, you just cant beat the views of the building either!

Beautiful venue, great value

We had a great experience with the venue, and it was an awesome choice for a wedding. The only small criticism is that we had to adjust the rental time a couple times, and the final change didn't make it into our file. It was caught at the last minute and they were great at remedying the issue. Would recommend this venue for a wedding - great value and beautiful space!

The venue is gorgeous, in a great location, and includes the chairs and tables set up. Some restrictions but sure to be a beautiful party.

I had my eyes on the WPFM from the beginning. I love all the textures in the building with the brick, sliding doors, and market lights. It truly does not require a lot of décor. We had about 80 guests, but could have easily had 120+ with plenty of room. They were super easy to work with and it included tables and chairs. We had our wedding on a Friday because they were booked up for most Saturdays in the season we were looking for, but it actually worked out better because we didn't have to wait for the actual Saturday Market to finish up before we started setting up for the night! They even made sure to email me the week of the wedding to let me know of nearby construction that would be taking place/requiring a detour.

I had skipped over this venue many times since the pictures did not appeal to me, but after seeing it in person, it is quite beautiful and I'm so happy I finally settled on this venue. It definitely deserves a look in-person. My recommendation would be to take down/cover the gray wall dividers for a more aesthetically pleasing look. Winter Park Civic Center was extremely flexible and I could choose any vendor I wanted. Cindy and staff were always extremely prompt with responding to me and were simply a joy to work with. Considering what you get for the price, it was very affordable and I loved the backdrop of the lake and park behind the tree on the lower patio, where we had our ceremony. There was a a little crisis that occurred towards the end of my wedding, but Cindy responded to my concerns professionally and kindly, so I definitely recommend this venue. Be sure to ask a lot of questions, as the info they provide initially is pretty basic.

This is a picture perfect venue, if you like the unique charm of Winter Park. The venue itself it classic and does not need much decor. Located in the heart of Winter Park, you are able to have both inside and outside space. Best deal in town!

The was exactly what we wanted for our rustic wedding! I would recommend it for anyone wanting a simple feel for their special day! I dealt with Janet a lot and she was very sweet... The only two compalints that I had were: 1. I scheduled a walk through with my caterer, and they had a yoga class going on so we were not allowed inside during the same hour (mistakes happen!), and 2. The chairs were not set up correctly on the porch for the wedding ceremony. Such a small detail, but for some brides, I could understand that this would be an issue.

We had our ceremony and reception at the Winter Park Civic Center and I was very pleased with this venue! I heard about it from a friend and I just loved the lake and park outside for a ceremony back drop. When you go and visit the venue, the reception room may not look as stunning as some - but trust me, once you get your linens and lighting and decor in there it looks just as amazing as venues with twice it's pricetag. Janet, my POC, was always SO quick to reply to my emails and questions - she was very helpful.

The other thing that we loved about the Civic Center is that you can bring your own alcohol in which cuts down drastically on your costs... you can always choose any vendors you want instead of being forced to choose from a preferred list. When you rent the Civic Center for your wedding - it is your venue from 11am to midnight with no other events going on there that day.

I am thrilled we decided to go with the Civic Center as our venue - it looked absolutely beautiful and was a great choice for brides who like flexibility.

The Winter Park Farmer's Market is a great place to hold a wedding, or any celebration. It is an old converted train station, all worn brick, dark wood and twinkle lights. The only downside is that the rail road still runs every day (they moved the station to about a block away), so you will probably have a couple trains go by during your event.

I gave them a 4/5 on flexibility because we wanted to use sparklers for our grand exit, but we weren't allowed to have them on the property. We had to go just outside to use them.

Love love love this place! The staff was great, the venue was beautiful. I got married in July outside under that beautiful tree and it was amazing my friends thought it was a bad idea because it would've been hot, but the wind and rain gods were with me that day. It was a picture prefect day. The tree made for nice picture and because it was so beautiful it really didn't need much decorations.

The WP Farmer's Market was the perfect venue for our wedding! It was charming and homey feeling and our guests had a great time! It's a total blank canvas so you have lots of freedom to organize the room they way you need to.

I loved this site & so did our guests. Don't let the outside fool you. This is a fabulous venue with loads of charm. The site was clean & we didn't have any trouble with people. Everyone loved having the patio & it was great for our cocktail hour. Everyone was just so impressed that it wasn't just a normal venue.

The Winter Park Farmer's Market is a great venue. The venue provides a small kitchen, round and rectangular tables and chairs. The only reason why I didn't give a full 5 stars for flexibility is the fact that you have to book months in advance. I booked the venue less than 15 months before my wedding and only had a few dates to choose from. Plus, the venue won't be open until 4 pm the day of for set-up purposes. Other than those negatives, the venue was beautiful and provided more than enough space for my wedding ceremony and reception.

The rustic look to the old train depot that is the Winter Park Farmers' Market was perfect for our event. The staff who were there on the day of the event were especially helpful and friendly. We had such a great time, and so much fun.

The only problem we had was that the Winter Park Farmers' Market is run by the City of Winter Park, and we had to contact them during business hours, which wasn't always easy as we both work during normal business hours. That said, when we did make contact, they were as helpful and as kind as we could have hoped for.

We absolutely loved having our reception at the Farmer's Market. The venue was fantastic for our shabby-chic/vintage wedding. It's on the smaller side - we had 12 tables and had to break down 2 of them when the dancing started. It's also booked so far out, so if this is your dream location, make sure you reserve it way ahead of time.

TIP- If you're getting married on a Friday, the original contract starts at 4pm. I was able to purchase 2 extra hours so my vendors could get on site at 2pm to have everything set up for my 5pm cocktail hour.

The Farmers Market is so beautiful and easily has the most character of any of the venues my Husband and I looked at. Everyone had such a blast and they were extremely helpful in having the chairs and tables set up and ready to go before we even got there to start set up. Janet was extremely quick to respond everytime I emailed her and was always very pleasant! The only issue I had was that they are very strict in their decorating rules (which makes sense, its a historic landmark!) but we did have to tailor some of our decorations to them. Other than that, they are an amazing value for a beautiful location in a very very nice area and I would highly recommend them!
