The Absolute Best!

When we decided to embark on a destination wedding we knew there would be some obstacles we would have to face. For example, we would need to trust the wedding planners recommendations on DJ's, Photographers, Videographers etc before physically meeting them. I went through the list and had numerous zoom meetings to find the right photographer for our special day. I am a professional dancer and actor so being in front of the camera didn't bother me. However, my husband would have rather jumped in the ocean. I knew whoever I picked had to be understanding of the idea that we didn't want too many "posed" shots. We wanted everything to feel and look natural. We would take a candid picture rather than a sophisticated Kim Kardashian photo any day. Victor understood exactly the vibe we wanted and was so great to work with especially for my husband. My husband didn't complain once about taking pictures and felt comfortable the entire time. Another reason we chose Victor other than his personality and professionalism was obviously his talents behind the camera. His photos were the only ones that stood out to us when choosing photographers. We came to Aruba to have a wedding that was not only intimate but spoke for itself with the scenery. Victor's specialty with a camera and capturing the natural sunset is uncanny. We can't wait to see the rest of our photos but these for now are INCREDIBLE. Victor, thank you for everything you are an incredible artist and wonderful person to work with. It was a pleasure!

Highly Recommend

Absolutely the best!!! Victor helped my vision come to life. I surprised my husband with a vow renewal in Aruba and if it wasn’t for Victor and his team I wouldn’t have been able to pull it off. Typically, I get nervous in front of the camera but Victor’s calming and caring nature helped ease my nerves.
Our pictures and video came out amazing. I had so much fun throughout the whole process and I’m so happy and grateful I found Aruba Wedding Photographer to be apart of this day with me. Victor and his team are truly a class act and very talented at what they do!

Beautiful pictures!

A few months before our stay at Aruba, I contacted a couple of photographers for a vow-renewal / family photoshoot. Victors clear and friendly communication made us choose for his service and we haven’t regretted it. He advised us about time of the shoot, location and was there right in time. He has a way of putting you at ease and just let you do your thing. No ‘stiff posing’. He really took the time for us as it was very windy that evening, but the pictures turned out beautiful! So happy we worked with Victor, I can really recommend him to everyone who want’s to do a photoshoot at Aruba.

Beautiful pictures, amazing photographer

Victor and his daughter shot an engagement shoot for my fiancé and I. He got the perfect angles and would do whatever it took to get the most amazing shots. If you travel to Aruba for your wedding or honeymoon, HIRE HIM!

Great photographer

Me and my husband did a destination wedding in Aruba 05/10/2021. We hired our wedding photographer Victor Winklaar and we just received our wedding photos. I couldn’t be more happy and we love the pictures. He is professional in his work and punctual. He did a lot for us to get the most beautiful pictures and even catch some in the sunset. Look no further!!

Victor was our photographer for our wedding on Renaissance Island in Aruba on April 10, 2021. I can’t not say enough good things about Victor, his team and his incredible talent. He is friendly, professional, and is a true artist. The photos we received were beyond what we expected. The way he captures the lighting and colors during and after sunset is unbelievable. I would recommend Victor to anyone who is considering a wedding in Aruba, you will not be disappointed. Best money we spent for our wedding by far!

Great to work with & Amazing photos

Being that my profession is in a design field, I am very knowledgeable about what makes good photos and editing of photos. Victor gave me a new appreciation of that. He had great photo and pose ideas for us which helped make things more comfortable, his actual photographing skill and style can not be beat, and the final products were Ad campaign worthy. We also did a two hour session, in order to travel around the island a bit, and he was so familiar with locations that we were able photograph in twice as many locations because of that. I can not wait to hang all the photos on my walls!

I was planning a surprise proposal for my now fiancé and victor made it easy! He was super quick and easy to work with and the quality of his work is simply amazing. He is a super nice individual and made the engagement pictures so much fun! If you’re considering an Aruba photographer look no further and message victor to get the dates setup because it’s worth it! I can’t forget to mention a quick turn around time on his work! He doesn’t set you up in an uncomfortable pose and make it seem fake, he tells you how he would like the picture and has you be natural and that’s what I loved, even the pictures he got when we weren’t expecting any! If I ever go back to Aruba, I will for sure get pictures with Victor because he’s fun and does excellent work!!

Amazing pictures, great service!

Victor is nothing short of amazing. My husband and I got married on October 13th, 2018 at the Hyatt Regency on Palm Beach.

Being from the States, it was nerve-wracking finding, booking and sending money to people you don't even know, but Victor was the utmost professional! He answered all of my questions within a few hours, and walked me through the entire process with ease! He also met with us in advance (and patiently waited as I mixed up the times!) and made my husband and I comfortable with the timeline for our big day!

The pictures came out AMAZING. He timed the ceremony to perfectly coincide with sunset, so we got great pictures in the daylight as well as at dusk! We are so thankful we found Victor- both him and his lighting assistant Gerrison were a pleasure to work with. I would give them 10 stars if I could!

Wonderful experience

Victor and team were wonderful throughout the entire planning process. We planned the wedding remotely from the US and Victor was incredibly responsive and helpful giving suggestions during the planning stages. When the big day finally came Victor and team were utmost professional and kind. The images they captured were spectacular and could not be happier. Nothing felt forced or staged, all very natural which made for more authentic photos. Would hire again in a heartbeat.

Amazing so glad I found him to capture photos of our Vow Renewal.

Victor was amazing and so helpful in my planning of surprising my husband with a vow renewal on our 10 year anniversary trip to Aruba. When I contacted him he got back to me right away. He was helpful with location spots as we have never been to Aruba, he was accommodating with his time and super professional. Our pictures came out beautiful and the turn around time to get the images was so quick! If you’re looking for an photographer look no further and choose Victor he was amazing!

We used Victor for our wedding on 10/9/2017 at the Marriott Stellaris in Aruba. I couldn't have asked for a better person (along with his crew) for our wedding photos. My husband and I booked our wedding in Aruba and the first time meeting Victor he surpassed our expectations! We already had an idea that he was awesome from our email correspondence before arriving in Aruba, and then once we arrived he contacted us and booked a "pre-wedding meeting"! We went through everything and he gave us the most helpful hints and advice to help make our photos even more special! I recommend him to ANYONE and EVERYONE! He was so incredible and patient! I can’t recommend Victor highly enough! My fiancé and i are getting married in Aruba in April 2018 so we used Victor for our engagement photos in april 2017 As a trial. Everyone was and still is complementing the amazing engagement photos he took for us with flamingos on renaisance island!! He is kind, patient, talented, professional, extremely responsive, and was glad to revise our photos after i provided feedback on some facial wrinkles i wasn’t very happy with!! He took over 1000 photos, let us see ALL of the thumbnails, and then edited and provided super high quality photos with SUCH quick turnaround. We will cherish these photos forever and cannot wait for working with Victor again for our wedding.

I cannot say enough great things about Victor! When starting to plan our wedding we came down to Aruba to scout out locations. I asked for photographer recommendafions from the different hotels and they all gave me a long list! After researching all the photographers I came along Victor and checked out his website. WOW the photos were amazing! And just the style I was looking for. I contacted him and he was even able to meet us while we were there. He came to our hotel! We met him in the lobby and he was prompt, professional and just overall a wonderful guy. I felt I could trust him taking care of such an important part of my wedding! He was very responsive thru email after we got back to NY so my heart was at ease. He met us again a few days before the wedding to go thru details and answer any of our questions. On the day of the wedding Victor and his staff were excellent. Our photos are amazing! The proof is in the pudding!

Unbelievable. Victor was very helpful and leading up to and during the wedding. It can be pretty hard planning a wedding from thousands of miles away, but Victor made it pretty easy. On top of that he had great ideas for pictures while listening to our request at the same time. On top of that he takes great pictures and captures all the special moments. I highly recommend him for any photography needs.

Victor Winklaar is the real deal! We hired Victor for our wedding at the Hilton Aruba in August of 2016. In addition to our wedding, we also hired Victor for two additional photo sessions. My daughters senior picture shoot on Friday, then our wedding on Sunday and finally a trash the dress shoot on the following Wednesday. Victor is fabulous!!!! He and his assistant were very responsive prior to and after booking. Our communication was primarily email but I requested a phone call to clarify one thing and they called right away. He was punctual to all appointments and very accommodating. For the senior picture shoot he did every shot my daughter asked for and accommodated a wardrobe change. For our wedding Victor was wonderful. He and his crew were very professional, they took some absolutely gorgeous pictures and again accommodated every shot we asked for. I highly recommend the trash the dress session, not only was it a blast but the pictures are gorgeous! Victor took us all over the island and told us lots of things about Aruba during the journey as well. He recommended an amazing restaurant experience for us that we just loved!! The delivery of our pictures was super quick! We love our pictures and are impressed with Victor's professionalism right down to the beautiful delivery of our digital and physical prints. We highly recommend Victor Winklaar photography! Thank you so much Victor for our amazing memories!!!!

I found Victor and his team after reading amazing reviews online. I was in need of a photographer for my destination wedding in Aruba. I am from Vancouver, Canada. Even before I met Victor his professionalism and quick response to my emails was exceptional. He answered all my questions and concerns in a timely manner and I felt prepared going to Aruba. I met Victor two days before the wedding and he was so thorough and reviewed all the tiny details about the photos I wanted. I am a picky and thorough person myself so I appreciated that. The wedding day was phenomenal. The Winklaar team was so nice and genuine. I felt they really wanted my photos to be the best they could. I felt at ease and comfortable with them. We cannot thank Victor enough for helping plan our surprise proposal. Throughout the entire process he was extremely helpful and flexible, working around our plans to be available for this awesome moment of our lives. During the shoot, he was amazing at placing us in the right spots and giving us cute poses for the pictures. After we received the pictures, we were blown away with how nicely they came out. Each one seemed to be better than the last and our families absolutely loved them. The pictures he took are constantly receiving compliments – “THIS [picture] belongs in a magazine”. They have become a cherished item for us and we are so happy we chose Victor for this special moment.

Not only is Victor amazing at what he does, but he and his assistants truly made my husband and I feel totally confident on our wedding day! We briefly met up with Victor a few months before the wedding which we all appreciated. He was able to get a sense of the types of shots we wanted and get familiar with our personalities and the vision we had for our wedding. Planning a destination wedding can be extremely stressful, but Victor completely alleviated any stresses we would have had with regards to photography. My husband and I reviewed previous work done by Winklaar Photography, and they were our number one contender from the start!

Victor and his two assistants worked diligently throughout the night and kept their lively, upbeat energy which made for a warm and friendly working environment. They were able to capture every moment beautifully. We are so thankful to have chosen Winklaar Photography for our wedding day, we now have the most amazing memories to share with everyone! We got married in Aruba at the Riu Palace. Victor was wonderful from the very beginning! My wedding planner recommended him to me. He was very professional, quick to respond to all my emails and he was flexible with me when I asked to change the time frame and package one week before the big day! Victor was great on the day of my wedding as well, we took so many photos in different locations. His suggestions were great. The pictures came out beautiful! I love them! I am really picky when it comes to photography but I have to say Victor has an amazing gift. My husband and I got married at the Radisson Aruba in May and our wedding pictures are phenomenal! So many of them look like they belong in a magazine which is the exactly what I wanted. I didn't want regular old wedding pictures, I wanted to be wowed and Victor did that! He is such a nice guy. Any time I had questions or needed information, Victor was right there. He did his very best to give us everything we wanted. If we ever renew our vows in Aruba, Victor will be our guy once again!

What an incredible experience my husband and I had with Victor. We returned to Aruba to celebrate our 1 year Anniversary and wanted to redo our wedding pictures during the beautiful sunset. I contacted victor about 2 weeks before our trip and right away I was impressed with his quick response and professionalism. After reading other reviews and looking at his website, I was confident that victor was exactly what I was looking for. On the day of the shoot we got dressed and headed to meet victor at the hotel lobby where he greeted us with a warm welcome. As soon as we started shooting my husband and I were impressed with Victors talent. His eye for photography is absolutely incredible. We are so happy with our pictures and our decision to go with victor. DO NOT HESITATE book him and he will absolutely meet your expectations. I highly recommend him! Thank you Victor for recreating our wedding pictures and for giving us memories of a lifetime.

We wed in January 2015 in Aruba. The photographer we were originally going to use was a friend from home who cancelled two days before our wedding due to a death in the family. Our wedding planner called Victor from Winklaar photography and he flew in last minute to take our pictures! Once we returned home we received our pictures very quickly and they were nothing short of amazing! Not only did Victor and his team step in last minute and do a beautiful job but they were also great to work with! I highly recommend them. In fact, a friend of a friend may wed in Aruba and I recommended Winklaar to them. :)

My husband and I booked Winklaar Photography for a honeymoon/trash the dress shoot during our October honeymoon in Aruba after our September 28 wedding. From the initial email through the delivery of the finished product, we received impeccable customer service and absolutely stunning photos. Victor, the owner and photographer, was very prompt with responding to my various emails, and was a pleasure to work with. He arrived on time for our shoot and was happy to work with me to get the shots I knew I wanted. We received a beautifully packaged USB drive with all of our photos (both hi-res and low-res versions) before we left Aruba, and I was so incredibly happy with them! I would recommend Victor and Winklaar Photography to anyone getting married in Aruba or considering hiring a photographer to capture some honeymoon memories. These are photos we will treasure for the rest of our lives, and we could not have done it without Victor Winklaar!

ENGLISH Victor is an AMAZING photographer! I know he takes mostly wedding pictures, but for my case it was a Quinceanera. My daughter wanted all natural. He let my daughter be herself while he gave amazing ideas and tips. My daughter felt very comfortable with the photographer and that is very important. Victor's amazing professionalism, warmth, and talent made for a wonderful experience for us. We first met Victor a few months before our wedding for an engagement photo shoot. Victor is an amazing photographer. We have tons of your pictures hanging on our living room wall and have got so many complements from them. Being in the USA and hiring a photographer unseen was a pit nervous at first. But he was very responsive and spent the time to discuss what we wanted. The day of the wedding, he was professional, on time, and worked with us to get very shot we wanted. When the photos came, they were spectacular. Victor was a fantastic photographer! He was calm and flexible when it came to scheduling and shooting the photos. His timing and ability to capture the beautiful Aruba sunset was beyond my expectations! Someone looking at my photos commented that they thought the background to our wedding pictures were so amazing and beautiful they thought we did a bluescreen or backdrop! We also did the trash the dress shoot two days after our wedding, and those pictures were just as spectacular. Victor knows all the right places to go in Aruba and is really interested in capturing your personality in the photos.

With us traveling from the UK I researched many professional photographers upon booking our wedding datein Aruba. We considered a number of photographers in Aruba but after seeing looking at Victor's artistic flare in the images on his website we decided to book him. Victor's communication was excellent via email as he would reply very quickly, he even advised on what time to have the ceremony in order to get the best photos with that perfect background setting the detail was amazing!!
Victor is a very professional photographer and in addition to this he is a very nice person. Victor put us all at ease on the wedding day including our 18 month old daughter and capturing every precious moment of the special day.
Following the special day Victor's communication continued as before and we just could not believe the amazing photos of the special day ha had managed to capture, after choosing the picture for the album we waited in the UK for them to arrive. When they did we were blown away with them, and he put an extra special gift of a calendar with some of our wedding photo's.
We also asked Victor to provide us with a video of the beach ceremony which was also done to a very high professional standard, and as a family we love to watch from time to time to remind us of that special day and special holiday in Aruba on the "One Happy Island".
We would definitely recommend Winklaar photography to anyone wishing to have any photographs taken.
Victor was an amazing guy who made our special day that little bit more special with his relaxed and pleasant nature, one day we will return to Aruba and once again meet up with Victor. and maybe even have some family shots done on the beach

We considered a number of photographers for our wedding in Aruba, our communication with Victor Winklaar was excellent, the detail was very good, right down to what time the sunset would be on the date of the wedding!!! A very professional photographer and a very nice person putting us at ease for the wedding day and capturing every moment on camera. We would definitely reccommend to anyone wishing to have the photographs taken. Hopefully one day we will return to the happy isalnd of Aruba for our anniversay and once again meet up with Victor Winklaar. :)

Victor has been absolutely amazing! We decided to elope, so you can imagine how stressed we were to arrange for a photographer without ever meeting him in person. Luckily for us, Victor has proved to be great! He was extremely professional, answered all of our questions, and made us feel really at ease. We decided on a sunset wedding by the water, and the ceremony ran a little long so we began to lose the light. In order to make us at ease, Victor took all the pictures that he could and then volunteered to come back the next day (on his own dime) in order to finish taking all of the pictures and make sure that we are happy! You don't see service like this anymore! The pictures turned out absolutely gorgeous and we are very happy. Would recommend him again a heartbeat. 10 stars!!!Where do I begin? I am from New York and was searching for a photographer in Aruba for my wedding- Victor was an obvious choice for the job. His work is absolutely beautiful, his attitude, his approach everything !!! He was the perfect photographer-- my sister is also a photographer and I shoot with her on occasion- (Which could translate to I want the best photographer for my wedding )Victor was so thorough and did an amazing job capturing our day.. There are other photographers in Aruba but what sets Victor apart from the rest is his pictures are quality and editted ...they are the canva kind of pictures.. they are the pictures you notice and you wish you could be the people in them....! Some people may think he is pricey which for real do the research on pricing he really isn't that expensive consider what you would pay in New York ... It'd be double/ triple what he charges!! And face it when it comes down to it you pay for what you get....!
Victor also did a trash the dress session... He picked us up at the hotel and explored with us around the island- I didn't feel uncomfortable or weird being with him... We had two hours and he did not rush us... At all he was awesome!!! I thought it was amazing that there really are great people out there !!!!!
I am so grateful to of found Victor Winklaar and Roy Croes they are my match made in heaven !!!!!!

Victor was the most responsive photographer we connected with while searching for wedding vendors. He was flexible and offered to create a custom package which included photography for our welcome party and our wedding day. It was a refreshing change in level of professionalism compared to many other vendors we contacted in Aruba!

If I could go through the process over again, the only thing I would change is that I would communicate more specifically about every shot that I wanted to have him orchestrate between the ceremony and reception, because I wasn't as comfortable telling friends and family to shuffle in and out of shots and would have liked Victor to take care of that. I know he gladly would have done if I had asked! I am just sharing this for other brides in case you'd rather not be the one "bossing" your wedding guests around during that frenzied cocktail hour of photography. Victor was very comfortable to allow me as the bride to call the shots as we went, if that's what I wanted.

Victor was very patient and calming to work with, and for most of the night, I didn't even notice he was around, which left my groom and I to enjoy our party and live in the moment. I definitely recommend working with Victor. So many friends and family commented on how beautifully our photos turned out!

Aruba Weddings For You gave me two choices of photographers for my wedding. I chose Victor Winklaar because I liked his photographs online. I arrived in Aruba on Sunday and my wedding was Tuesday. I thought I would meet him prior to my ceremony but that never happened. I paid for an hour of his services but after the ceremony he told us to go get a drink until the sun sets. I said no, I would like some photographs of different poses. He really didn't do much in fact I suggested sitting while my groom was kneeling. When the sun was setting, I was so excited because it was a gorgeous sunset! Unfortunately, when I viewed his photos on my computer and my eyes were closed in the shot I wanted to enlarge to hang on my wall. There were other photos with eyes closed as well. I thought he would take many shots and give us the best ones?? Also, there were no detail shots. No cake, rings, invitation,which I had with me, or ceremony decoration details. No candid shots of my guests. No shots of us holding hands walking on the beach. And the awful thing is that my guests took many photos and he was in them just standing there. I was truly disappointed and feel like my special day was not captured on film forever. I do not recommend him and advise you to choose another photographer. So very sad about it.
