The best dj!

When it came time to book a DJ for our wedding we knew we wanted Windy City Mix! They were the DJ at my sister's wedding and we had so much fun dancing the night away. I was worried with our wedding not being in Chicago that it may not be able to happen, but when I reached out to Rodrigo I was ensured that travelling to Michigan was not an issue! Throughout the whole wedding planning process he was always very responsive to my questions and gave me advice when I needed help when the song that we selected for our ceremony entrance was not going to be long enough for everyone to make their way down the aisle. I highly recommend Windy City Mix to anyone in need of a DJ for an event!

Excellent Company and very professional

Rodrigo was our DJ for our daughter’s quince. His entire staff was amazing and prompt. He stayed in constant communication with us and also had a personal meeting a week before the day of to make sure everything was going to run smoothly and to answer any of our questions. He also helped us set our timeline for the night to give us some pointers on what would work best. We also added the lighting and it looked stunning. He was absolutely amazing, the music was great, sound was perfect, he was also our MC, and definitely the best Dj in chicago! They were also very affordable. Would recommend them to anyone!!

Professional and always delivers!

Windy City Mix has done countless events for my family. Whether it’s Rodrigo himself or his partner DJ, Wolfy, this top notch! This is the second year in a row that they have done my Chicago block party and it’s always a hit. They are more than willing to help with announcements, raffles, games, and anything else! My DJ was Rod and he was great.
I also had a photo booth that we loved.
At the end i got a book filled with all the photos taken.
Such a wonderful momento of my vow renewal.

Danced all night!

If you want to have your dance floor packed all night Rodrigo will make it happen! He knows how to read rhe crowd to make sure everyone is dancing and having a great time. My feet were so sore the next day as I danced ALL NIGHT, but I loved it and have no regrets. I have been to a few different weddings and parties that Rodrigo was the DJ and I would definitely use him again. He is truly the best!

Great service

We couldn't have chosen a better DJ for our wedding. If you are looking for a DJ in the greater Chicago land area, look no further! After having to need to reschedule a few times due to covid, Rodrigo was super responsive and flexible as our wedding plans changed and helped to put together a playlist that fit our needs and family dynamic. He takes the time to truly understand what you need and my husband and I were super appreciative of his support.

Rodrigo Alvear (Windy City Mix ) is an amazing DJ and I highly recommend him. I was really nervous about having my baby shower, but he made feel at ease and everything went very smoothly. The Perfect DJs for our wedding!!!

Windy City Mix was AMAZING, start to finish!!! From the initial meeting with Rodrigo laying out expectations, to the big day...my husband and I were super pleased. Rodrigo and Will met with us along the way to finalize details just the way we wanted, and we greatly appreciated their suggestions and input, as they are very experienced. We hired Windy City Mix based on attending a wedding of one of my best friends, and also know that her brother hired the company for his wedding, and we were all thrilled with how well the dance floor was kept alive, which was a key driver! For our wedding, we also hired Windy City Mix for uplighting and two picture/video slide shows, and it was perfect! It makes you feel good when your DJs genuinely want to help create your wedding as envisioned, and they took away all of our stress the day of. We had Brazilian dancers as well, and Rodrigo and Will coordinated the entertainment with Sambrazilian beforehand. Highly recommend!

Cannot Recommend Enough!

Rodrigo managed the music for our wedding ceremony and reception and we are SO glad he did! He is very professional and knows how to get a party started! Our guests danced until the very last song and raved about the music afterwards. We also had a photo booth ran by him and his assistant, that was a huge hit! He even brought props that went along with our theme and gave us an album of the pictures, with notes from our guests. We cannot thank or recommend Windy City Mix enough!

We booked Rodrigo for our 8/11/2019 wedding in Benton Harbor, Michigan and WOW did he deliver! To this day we are still getting compliments on how awesome he was at the wedding and my husband and I would recommend Rodrigo to literally anyone getting married in the Chicagoland area. Just What We Hopes For

I would definitely recommend Windy City Mix to anyone looking for a DJ in the area. We had Rodrigo, and was everything we wanted in a DJ. We were able to speak with him directly about the music choices, timeline, etc. I especially loved the option of having an online link for guests to request songs as well! We added it to our wedding website and our guests were able to hear the songs they requested the night of our wedding. Great wedding DJ!

We used Windy City Mix for our 8/10 wedding. My husband and I personally had a great time. Rodrigo was very professional and met all our needs. I’ll start with complaints (they weren’t from us but older wedding guests such as moms/aunts/uncles) apparently the music was too loud for them during dinner hour again personally we didn’t notice but I guess they couldn’t hear conversations at their tables. After dinner we ran table to table taking photos with guests and had a time limit per snippet of song being played. All of our guests loved it and never have seen it before. Our friends getting married in the future said they are copying that. Great job Rodrigo for that suggestion! Dancing started out with “love shack” and I’m not kidding the dance floor filled up during the first song so fast. The night went on very smooth. The only thing I didn’t like was some requests that were played by friends. But it’s too late to dwell on that everyone had fun.

Best DJ service

Rodrigo did amazing. He kept everyone dancing and listened to special requests from guests and even did a last minute change we requested in our first dance. I would recommend them in a heartbeat. You will not be disappointed. Thank you so much Rodrigo and your assistant as well, he was on top of things in the dollar dance watching me because bills were falling off of my dress and he kept picking them up and handing them to me. Windy City Mix was such a pleasure to work with. Rodrigo really made me and my now husband feel like our event was so important. He was the first and only DJ company we met with and we knew right away that we wanted his services. We were not disappointed. Matt, one of his DJs was the best! He kept everyone on the dance floor all night. I never saw less than 20 people out on the floor and people stayed till it was over and still wanted more! He was very professional, on time and kept the night flowing. Countless people came up to me to compliment the DJ and said that it was the best DJ they ever seen at a wedding. There was also a photobooth they set up that all my guests had fun with and we have a book of photos. I would recommend them to anyone and they are very reasonably priced as well! Such a great night. They helped make my wedding magical!

Let me start off by saying that you should just stop what you're doing and hire Windy City Mix. Rodrigo is AMAZING and their pricing is UNBEATABLE for the level of service and professionalism they offer. We hired WCM in November of 2016 for our 9/9/2017 wedding. As an interracial couple looking for a DJ that was well versed and comfortable with the traditional jewish hora dance and traditional salsa/Spanish music, Rodrigo put all of our worries to rest. We communicated by email which was very helpful with all of the other wedding meetings and both of us working full time. Their online playlist tool is so cool and easy to use. It made the whole process so much easier.

On a personal note - Rodrigo, the CEO and mastermind behind the amazing Windy City Mix, actually missed his daughter's graduation in Florida to DJ our wedding, which shows how dedicated and professional he is. There was a small oversight on our contract asking for him specifically and when we found out that we might have to work with one of his other DJs (they are all amazing but we fell in love w/ Rodrigo) we were adamant about working with him. He accommodated with a smile and put on the best wedding we have ever been a part of . Every single person - from every walk of life - had an amazing time. We also hired their photobooth services which provided some of the best photos of the night.

Our wedding timeline moved around so Rodrigo checked in with me about everything in such a calm manner. He kept us sane the whole night and kept us on track. He also knew exactly what to play in every moment to keep people on the dance floor and calm it down when we needed to toss the bouquet, etc. Their wide array of music and expert knowledge of weddings are enough, but they go above and beyond to deliver the very best. By the end of the night, Rodrigo felt like family. Thank you so much WCM - you made our wedding perfect.

We had Rodrigo for our wedding, and he was fantastic! Everything was very professional and well done. He played the music for our ceremony and reception. When I was having trouble choosing music for my walk down the isle he told me not to worry and that he would find something nice and make it flow. He did not disappoint! Our wedding was on 9/2/2017. The DJ, Carlos, reacted well with the atmosphere and made smart decisions on what songs to play next. He was also accommodating to the bride and groom while also ensuring that they had nothing to worry about. During our wedding it started to rain and he quickly moved to the indoor portion with ease. Windy City Mix was GREAT!! With all the planning that needed to be done it was difficult for me to make decisions on the type of music I wanted to be playing for what occasion or even when would be a good time to do it. They really kept things simple and I didn't have to worry about them the day of the wedding. They were very patient with me and gave me good options and advice when I wasn't sure about something. They played an assortment of music that kept everyone on the dance floor having a good time. They even have photo booths that the guest enjoyed to use, best part was that at the end of the night they give you a book with all the photos that were taken that night and can see the fun that everyone was having as well as messages that the guests leave you. I would highly recommend Windy City Mix to anyone that is looking for an experienced DJ that knows what hes doing and can help take a load off your mind. They truly made my wedding a magical night that I was sad to see end.

I seen Windy City Mix at my friend's wedding and I knew I had to have them for mine they were the first thing I booked after picking a venue. Very fun, beautiful up lighting, personalized monogram. They had quality props for the photo booth everybody loved it. Our wedding was so much fun the people from the wedding next door kept trying to crash our wedding.

We had Rodrigo as our DJ for our wedding reception and he did a wonderful job! His company is very affordable and cheaper than most other DJs, especially since the quality of his service is unbeatable. Rodrigo provided us with DJ services, uplighting , and a red carpet photo booth. We had a custom made backdrop for our photo booth that we loved. 2 copies of the photo booth pics were made- guests received 1 copy of their photo booth pic and the 2nd copy went in a scrapbook to us, which is a wonderful gift to the bride and groom! Our guests absolutely loved us having a red carpet photo booth. Rodrigo stayed in communication with us during our wedding planning and was very responsive to questions we had. It was important to my fiancé and i that the delivery and setup went smoothy on the day of our wedding, and Rodrigo definitely delivered on that promise! I would highly recommend Rodrigo as they are affordable, provide all services that you could need, and deliver on quality service!

My husband and I worked with Rodrigo from Windy City Mix and he was absolutely FANTASTIC! He was a pleasure to work with and very flexible with our schedules. He catered to exactly what we wanted, and our wedding reception was unforgettable! We had a younger age range among our guests that attended the wedding and my husband and I knew we wanted an upbeat atmosphere on the dance floor, and that is exactly what we got. Our dance floor was filled for the entire evening and I owe it all to Rodrigo. His song choices ranged from different genres and eras so all guests could enjoy their time. 1,000% Recommended. Rodrigo addressed my concerns right away. He talked a big game and came through. Their experience shows tremendously. They worked around the Mariachi band that my mother brought in, almost last minute. I can confidently say that the party would NOT have been the same with any other DJ. Great DJ and photo booth services! I booked Windy City Mix for my June wedding through a recommendation and was not disappointed! Rodrigo kept the dance floor busy all night with a mix of 80s, 90s, 2000s, and salsa music that appealed to our guests. Wilfredo was a great help with the photo booth and props-a surprise to most of our guests-and he made sure everyone signed our photo booth scrapbook. Our wedding would not have been the same without him!

Windy Cindy Mix is the way to go if you’re looking for a wedding DJ. While researching DJ’s, we came across WCM and set up an appointment. On the appointment day, we met with Rodrigo (company owner) and Andres (who was the DJ available for our day). They sat with us for over an hour patiently and thoroughly going through all our questions!
As the day approached, the hubby and I checked in periodically with questions/ event details. Rodrigo and Andres always replied timely and professionally.
On the day of our wedding, Andres just blew us away. He not only was an AMAZING DJ, he took care of us and checked in periodically to make sure we were happy with the music, pace of the agenda, etc. Seriously, Andres, you went ABOVE AND BEYOND!
We had a few music requests ahead of time, but otherwise gave him free reign to play the crowd. Based on the few requests we had beforehand and reading the crowd – HE ROCKED it and kept the dance floor full all night! Andres was also very versatile – he mixed top 50, all kinds of Spanish music (bachata merengue, cumbia, etc.), 80’s, Arabian music, and more flawlessly! I would recommend Windy City and Andres to anyone looking for a solid DJ for their upcoming event! THANK YOU!

Where to begin... We met Rodrigo 5 years ago at a wedding and knew that day if we were to ever get married that he was our guy. Two weeks ago our day finally came and as expected it was nothing shy of amazing. At the ceremony, his assistant stepped in as a coordinator to make sure everyone was walking in at the appropriate time. At the reception, we received multiple compliments on the mix of country, hip-hop, R&B and everything else in between. Although Rod did not play my Grease Mega-Mix (I forgive you Rod <3) I cannot express enough how truly amazing he and Windy City Mix team are. Rodrigo from windy city mix did a beyond amazing job at our wedding. His staff is so generous and helpful. They are all so talented and friendly. The dance floor was filled all night whether it was an upbeat song or a slow dancing song. Rodrigo picked all the best songs and every person at our wedding had an absolute blast. We had guest come up to us and say, " I don't usually like to dance but I was on the dance floor the whole night at your wedding" the happiness was contagious. We highly recommend Windy City mix if you want a night you'll never forget. They are the absolute best around! Don't even bother looking elsewhere. They are the real deal!!

Windy City Mix did an amazing job on our wedding day. They were not only our DJ, but also provided the photo booth and did our uplighting. Rodrigo was so attentive during the entire evening and was very good at making sure we were always on schedule. He was so professional to not bother us too much, but just enough to know that he's on top of everything. I can't remember how many of our family and friends came up to us at the end of the night saying how great of a job he did. Definitely recommend him to anyone!

After looking at various Dj's across the city we met with Windy City Mix and since day one they made us feel comfortable. These guys don't mess around, they know what they are doing. Our wedding was September 12, 2015. My fiancee at the time and I had a call with Rodrigo first and since the first time we spoke, we both got really excited to work with him, he was very professional. When we met things got even better, The packages they offer are at a great price and they also offered a photobooth!
Once the wedding was approaching Rodrigo was always available to answer any questions via email almost instantly. The quality of service they provide is excellent and I doubt it can be found elsewhere.
The day of the wedding, they were already set up and ready to go. Our Dj was Andres.
Andres was nothing but professional and throughout the night kept coming to my husband and I to offer us drinks, if we needed anything. During the speeches, i was not able to hold my tears and he was so kind to bring me towels to wipe my tears. Its the little things that make a difference. Andres and Rodrigo were both great and attentive to our needs.
I highly recommend these guys. You will not be disappointed on bit.

I would highly recommend Windy City Mix for your event. Rodrigo was beyond helpful, and promptly responded to all of my emails. They are such professionals and know how to get a party started, and then keep it going all night! We had so many complements on our DJ throughout our wedding reception, and the dance floor was full the whole night. I also recommend using their photobooth service. It was such a fun addition to our reception and our guests had a blast using it. We have two other friends who have used Windy City Mix for their wedding receptions and they had the exact same amazing results we did.

We found Windy City mix via yelp and we could not be happier we did. Rodrigo was a pleasure to work with since the beginning he made us feel comfortable and knowledgeable when we left our first meet up. I can't leave out the fact that their prices were hands down the best we were comfortable paying. We had a nice package which included ceremony & cocktail Dj, uplighting for reception, photo booth, red carpet with a custom backdrop and of course the Dj for the reception. My husband and I hired Windy City Mix for our wedding on June 27, 2015. We looked around for a few months and interviewed a few different DJs for our wedding. Windy City Mix came HIGHLY recommended by our reception venue and I (the bride) set up a meeting with Rodrigo to discuss the services Windy City Mix could provide for our wedding. Rodrigo was very professional and went over all of the services he could provide as well as pricing. Windy City Mix is priced very competitively especially for the exceptional quality of services that we received. We decided to go with the complete package where we go DJ services, a red carpet with a back drop, and a photo booth.

Leading up to the wedding, Rodrigo met with me and answered all of my questions. He ALWAYS responded to my texts, calls, and emails in a very timely manner. He even let me drop off a few extra props that I wanted with the photo booth!

Rodrigo arrived at the wedding and had everything set up on time just like he promised. He also brought two assistants to help him throughout the night. Rodrigo definitely knows how to read a crowd and had the dance floor packed all night. I HIGHLY recommend anyone looking for DJ services to book with Windy City Mix. You will not be disappointed!

Andres was an amazing DJ. He was very professional and was all ready to go by the time we got to our venue. He made sure we were comfortable with the timeline of the night and ran every requested song by us to see if we wanted it played or not. He even kept our guests updated with the Blackhawks score! The photobooth we got was also amazing. The attendant was very patient with all of our guests, especially towards the end of the night.

We had Ken as our DJ for our wedding and he did a great job. With a mix of Mexican and white, old and young attending our wedding, he kept the dance floor going the whole time with music that fit with all. There was a great start with the cha cha slide to get everyone out there to begin with and then kept it going. There was also uplighting done which were placed appropriately without need to contact us, and also the monogram projected image that they provided that ended up showing on the angled ceiling looked terrific with color and placement. Definitely recommend them and especially Ken as being the DJ as he was great and very accommodating. If meeting in person, it is a little office, but don't let it deter you at all if you are meeting in person, they provide great service and Rodrigo(owner) really cares about his business!

Rodrigo from Windy City Mix was our wedding DJ and we couldn't have asked for a better guy. My husband is African American/Puerto Rican and I am Mexican, so we needed to find a person talented enough to bring together two distinct group of family and friends to have an amazing time all night and Rodrigo did just that! He is extremely talented (gets everyone on the dance floor and reads the crowd well!), fun, easy going, super flexible (we gave him last minute music requests and he was happy to do whatever we asked), and most importantly, extremely passionate about what he does. Rodrigo was our Dj, we also had the photo booth, monogram, up lighting, and also worked on our ceremony which was outside. We were referred by my husband's brother, who had the same package and service. He played every song we requested on our playlist, was very responsive and helpful, very professional and worked with the crowd tremendously! I kept having people come up to me telling me how awesome the Dj was and the dance floor was packed nearly the whole time.

He's also incredibly knowledgable how everything should work, where everyone should go, etc.

I'd recommend this service to anyone getting married in the Chicago area.

Rodrigo was amazing! He was flexible, professional, and knew how to keep the crowd dancing. My family likes polka and my wife's likes salsa. Don't even consider any other DJs for your event! I looked around for a long time before finding Windy City - they are a hidden gem! We hired them for our wedding and couldn't be more happy with our decision! They were affordable and provided amazing uplights! I searched high and low for a DJ but ones that I wanted were already booked. I had submitted a search for a DJ through a website and Rodrigo was one of the first to answer me. A week or two went by and Rodrigo reached out to me again to see if I had a DJ. I still didn't at this point, so I asked him a few questions. He was answering all of my emails immediately and took the time to explain EVERYTHING I was asking in detail.He also gave me other brides to contact and all of them said the service was great. I set up a consultation with him and Andres. The consultation was AMAZING!!! I was so confident I booked with them right on the spot. Andres and Rodrigo was amazing throughout my planning, and they were very accessible as far as responding to ALL my questions and concerns. My wedding day was WONDERFUL Andres and his assistant was GREAT. They kept the music flowing and the dance floor always had someone dancing. Very professional from the beginning to the end and a great personality. Gave great ideas while always accommodating our needs in everything that we asked. The website which he gave us allowed not only us but our guests to select songs they will like to hear. If they were not listed we were able to email him or add specific songs to the list. All guests loved the song selections as we had a diverse crowd (African American Bride & a Bermudian Groom). The biggest plus is the ability to work well with other vendors. That night he became a part of the family.

On 11/24/12 Windy City Mix provided my husband ( Ricky ) and I (Lourdes) magnificent and excellent DJ Service/ photo-booth . Not only did they arrive on time , they were professional and went above and beyond for us and exceeded in meeting our expectations. I want to thank Windy City Mix for a wonderful night and an even more wonderful time planning and preparing for the wedding. Rodrigo was fantastic! He was very professional and took us under his wing throughout the whole process. I swear he should be a wedding planner. We had a problem with our first videographer, Ben Kostelnik, who failed to communicate with us to plan, but Rodrigo saved the day. He was soooo upset with our situation, 13 days before the wedding and we had no videographer!!!! He took it upon himself to ask a favor of a personal friend, Dennis Avelar, who is a videographer and has his own business. Rodrigo asked Dennis 13 days before our wedding to be our videographer and he said yes. Rodrigo helped us every step of the way and made us feel so comfortable with the wedding planning. Windy City Mix did an amazing job for our wedding. They were easy to work with and they took the stress out of the day. I never had to worry about when things were going to happen because they were on top of it. I was on the dance floor all night long and there were always people dancing. We had a variety of music played from oldies to new pop songs, slow songs, bachata, merenge, and even Irish music, but it all flowed smoothly. We had many compliments on our DJ, his character, and the music played. We also chose the uplighting package which made the venue look amazing. I would definitely recommend Windy City Mix.

Rodrigo from Windy City Mix made our wedding an absolutely AMAZING event. From the first meeting to the last dance, Rodrigo was incredible and very easy to work with. I felt comfortable with Rodrigo right away and knew he would do a great job at our wedding. Well Rodrigo exceeded our expectations! A few days before the wedding we decided to add the photo booth that Windy City Mix now offers. That was one of the best decisions I made for our wedding. Every one LOVED the photo booth. His wife helped the booth run smoothly. Along with the photo booth we received a album with all of the photos. We laughed so hard when we saw all the pictures taken. I am so happy that we had the photo booth. It was a hit by all guests at the wedding.
Rodrigo provided music and microphones for both our ceremony and reception. He arrived 2 hours before the start of the event to check out the venue space and set up for the ceremony/reception. Our ceremony was outside and he provided excellent sound for our officiant. Everyone was able to hear him and myself and my husband clearly. Rodrigo then helped the reception run so smoothly. My husband and I were able to relax and have fun at the reception because Rodrigo worked with the staff at our venue so everything ran so smoothly. He would check with us before certain event like introductions, toasts, parent dances, etc. to make sure we were ready for them. We met with Rodrigo a few days before the wedding and he really listened to our suggestions because the music was awesome! He also gave us some great song ideas. Rodrigo was very personable and accommodated our requests for our fun first dance and gave Notre Dame football updates throughout the reception. I did not want the night to end!!! Thank you Rodrigo and Windy City Mix for making our wedding so memorable! I would recommend you to any one in need of DJ services.

Windy City Mix was basically perfect! From the very first meeting with Rodrigo, we knew that we made the right choice. He really "got" what we were looking for in DJ services (basically, a dance party), and he was really enthusiastic and knowledgeable. We also loved that we were meeting the actual person who would DJ our event from the beginning. Throughout the planning process, he was also super responsive by email. One night about a week before the event I had a response back in 10 minutes. WOW! Just what a bride needs to feel at ease. Finally, on the day of the event, Rodrigo took charge of the reception so that we could relax. Even though we gave him really bad information for the introductions (like forgetting to tell him about people and relationships, and also adding a groomsman the day of the event ...) he STILL got us all organized and sorted out, and all the intros were correct. And we got the dance party we wanted. He and his assistant read the crowd SO well, everyone had a great time, and we got lots of compliments on their service. I would (and have) recommend Windy City Mix!!!!

We worked with Rodrigo for our wedding and he was extremely friendly and professional and strived to give my husband and I everything we wanted for our big day! The website planner that windy city mix uses is fabulous and makes it so that you get everything you want!! You get to pick all must play songs and do not play as well as create an event timeline. It was great. We were happy with the actually wedding day as well, there were more fun lights and light up dance toys etc that we didn't know came with our package so we were pleasantly surprised there and rodrigo was vey fun and he even jumped into the photo booth to take a picture! We would defienately recommend windy city mix!

They were great! Their uplighting made our banquet hall look like a night club! I definitely recommend them to anyone.

Windy city mix created a fun energetic atmosphere at our wedding. Kenneth (our DJ) and his assistant, were professional, friendly, and flexible. Rodrigo, the owner, helped us a lot and was quick to get back to us with answers to our questions. We booked last minute, and they were very understanding. Thanks for a great evening Windy City Mix!

Rodrigo was not only our DJ, he became a friend. He was such an awesome DJ who knew exactly what to play at just the right moment. I cannot stress enough how much we enjoyed him and how much fun everyone had-I now wish I wouldn't have gotten a band just so he could have more playing time! A DJ will make or break your party and it's so important to find the right one....Rodrigo will not disappointment you. If I could give him 50 stars instead of 5, I would :). We want to make another party just to hire him again!!! Thank you so much Rodrigo.

We cannot think of anything that could have gone better. Shopped the dj around town and not only did everything go perfect but it was the best price in town. We made an instant connection with Rodrigo and never looked back.

All I can say is WOW!!! When people from another wedding next door crashed our venue, tells you that they hired the wrong DJ and we hired the right one :) These guys were profesional, on time and lived up to our high expectations. Rodrigo and his assistant were excellent. Rodrigo was especially helpful when planning the event. He was very responsive, attentive, understanding, and professional. We were really impressed when we first met him. His presentation was perfect. He definitely made us feel that we were with an experienced and professional DJ. I would recommend him to anyone and hire him back myself if I need.

My wife and I had an amazing day and the professionalism and the willingness to help from Windy City Mix's DJ's were so helpful and really made the day go so much smoother. Leading up to the wedding day, I had several last minute changes and Rodrigo (my DJ) never made me feel like I was bothering him or that it was too late to change anything. Honestly, every bride wants a perfect wedding and every groom wants peace of mind that things will run smoothly, Rodrigo and the guys at Windy City Mix did their best and I'd recommend them to anyone looking for a DJ. I met Rodrigo with my parents and we instantly felt very comfortable with him! We felt like he was very much in love with his work and that he honestly cared about us and listened to what we expected for the wedding reception. We could tell he was not pushy like other DJ companies that I had met (either from the Bridal Expo I had gone to, or from trying to find DJ's with my friend for her wedding).

Not only was Rodrigo very accommodating in our requests, he really did try to make sure that we could have everything we asked for: from uplighting, to playing music during our cocktail hour outside the reception hall, to even throwing in Spanish and Latin music for my Peruvian side of the family.

He made the evening run so smoothly for us, and everyone had such a great time that we were all dancing up until the reception hall finally had to tell us that they couldn't stay open any longer. You know you've had a great DJ hosting when the dance floor is constantly full and your guests compliment you on the music!

Thank you so much, Rodrigo, for making our wedding so memorable! We had a great time and I hope to see you again!

I would highly recommend Windy City Mix and Rodrigo to anyone who wants to have a very enjoyable and stress-free wedding reception where the DJ's actually care about you! These guys know what they're doing!!

Windy City Mix was AMAZING at our reception! With very limited direction from me and my bride, they played a perfect mix of what we were looking for, and kept the party rocking all night!

Also, Rodrigo was there to help with anything else we needed during the night which was great! When the occasional broken glass found its way to the dance floor, either his assistant or himself were off finding people to help clean it up ASAP.

We chose Windy City Mix because they did such a great job at a friend's wedding, and they did an even better job for our wedding!

Rodrigo was great. This was the easiest vendor for me to book because the minute I met with Rodrigo, I knew that I was in good hands. We had a small wedding, but the dance floor was full all night. Rodrigo also made sure that the wedding went smoothly the whole night.

There are not enough words to describe how happy I was with Windy City Mix, owner Rodrigo, and top notch DJ Johnny!

We knew from our first meeting with them that we wanted to book. They were very laidback, easy to click with, and were really listening to us when we talked about the vision we had for our reception. I told them pretty early on that the music was the most important thing to me and Johnny did NOT disappoint! My dancefloor was packed the entire night and I was getting compliments from every guest about Johnny and what a blast they were having. It was everything I hoped for and more!

I would not hesitate to recommend Windy City Mix to any bride looking for someone to get her party going! Don't let the incredibly reasonable price fool you, you get more than you pay for - MUCH more! Price, service, and performance were second to none. Thank you WCM & Johnny! You truly made our reception one to remember!

I loved Rodrigo and Windy City Mix! They were able to accomodate me on a fairly short notice (thanks again!) and played great music, including all the songs we wanted to hear. It was important for me to have a DJ that played both English and Spanish music, and Rodrigo definitely delivered!

Windy City Mix was the best choice I could have made. Rodrigo and Carlos were able to follow all the instructions I gave them and added in things that I completely forgot about at the last minute. They always ran things by me to get my approval and managed a smooth flow of the timeline without rushing me or letting me feel lost about what I was doing. I didn't have to worry about a time limit because they weren't charging by the hour. One flat fee for the entire evening. I hope they are still around when I have my 25th anniversary party! A wonderful team to work with!! Absolutely Satisfied 100%!!

Johnny Rubio was an amazing DJ. Can't praise him enough. He took our ridiculous amount of music we requested and played everything at the right times. He even mixed in my own music during the dance parts. A strobe light was brought out after the seniors trickled out of the wedding reception. The DJ was very talented and would love to stay in touch as I am involved in the music scene. I will definitely recommend Windy City Mix to friends for any event.

Windy City Mix was so much fun and Rodrigo and Johnny were a pleasure to work with. I love their online request idea so that my guests were able to give their suggestions for music, but they were still flexible on the day of the wedding. We rarely ever sat down and my husband who is from the DR loved the fact that he played his type of music and felt at home! Rodrigo always communicated back in a tmely manner with all the questions I had, and johnny was very prepared with how the day would go without any hitch! Thank you for a memorable night!!!
