Brad and the Wilmington Uplighting team were so great and easy to work with for our wedding. Everything went according to plan and the lighting looked just as we envisioned it would. We used edison lights over the dance floor and set up additional lighting outside for our guests to take a break from the action. Both turned out perfectly! Fantastic & Flexible Draping & Lighting
For our wedding, we worked with Brad at Wilmington Uplighting to install a wall of drapes. Just four days before the wedding, we opted to install drapes along another wall, as well as cafe lighting. It was a decision well-made! Brad not only welcomed the idea, but made it happen on a moments notice. 10/10 Wilmington Uplighting Experience
We used Wilmington Uplighting to enhance the backyard lighting at the beachfront house we rented for our wedding and reception, and it was one of the best decisions we made. From the moment we spoke with the owner, Brad, we knew we had to work with him. His knowledge, experience, and passion for his craft were immediately clear. He took the time to explain everything in detail, which was especially helpful since we had no prior experience with event lighting.
The backyard of the house was already stunning, but once Brad worked his magic, it was on an entirely different level! He showed us mock-ups of his vision beforehand, and he brought it to life beautifully. The lighting over the backyard and pool was breathtaking, the lights along the dock leading to the beach added a magical touch, and the lighted globes in the pool created an ambiance that was pure perfection.
Our only regret? Not taking more photos to truly capture Brad’s masterpiece! The lighting added so much to the atmosphere of our wedding, and it’s something we’ll never forget.
We can’t thank or recommend Brad and Wilmington Uplighting enough. They truly made our special day even more unforgettable. If you’re considering lighting for your event, do yourself a favor and call Brad—you won’t regret it!

Wilmington Uplighting did lighting and drapery in our clear-topped tent for an outdoor wedding on Saturday. It was SO beautiful and really made the tent look festive. There were a few "splurges" for the wedding and this was one of them, and it was 100% worth it! I loved it and got many compliments! Brad was easy to work with and payments were simple. We recently used Wilmington Uplighting for our daughter’s wedding and we can’t say enough positive things about them. Brad, the owner, and a team member, Angel, provided the perfect lighting in two separate locations and the ambiance that this provided was the “icing on the cake” at this beautiful venue. Brad was awesome! He is very friendly and easy to work with. We used his Edison lighting in the courtyard of Bakery 105 which looked beautiful under our tent. Amazing sparklers

All we have to say is WOW! We cannot recommend Brad with Wilmington Uplighting highly enough. With the amount of stuff we requested, which was, Edison String Lights throughout the whole venue, 2 Cold Spark Fountains, a Chandelier which was placed above the dance floor, and finally Draping Overhead. With all this, they still made things as smooth and stress-free as possible and did a beautiful job. They truly went above and beyond our expectations. If you have some worries concerning lighting for your event, then Brad with Wilmington Uplighting is the man for the job! Brad was easy to work with constructing our vision for our wedding reception and blew away our expectations! After describing what we needed for our wedding, he knew that the light bulbs that we requested and paid for were not going to do it justice. Brad went to another event that he previously scheduled to set up, then returned to our setup to provide additional lighting to help brighten the hall. The additional lighting for our reception area would not have been the same without Brad’s touch. With his input and willingness to drive back to the venue to add additional lights, we could not recommend him enough!

Brad was amazing to work with. I realized about a month before the wedding that I would need additional outdoor lighting for the courtyard at Station 2, as the wedding was in the evening. I contacted Brad and he was prompt to respond and get me all of the options for that space. He came out the morning of the wedding, hung the Edison bulbs in the courtyard and it was magical! Later that evening, during the reception, I was amazed at how beautiful those lights made the space. Lots of guests were outside have drinks and chatting and the lighting was perfect! I have been wanting Christmas lights on my house for quite some time, but I didn't want ordinary lights that are on most houses this time of year. I had envisioned something classy, simple, and elegant, so I reached out to Brad at Wilmington Uplighting. Brad was quick to answer all of my questions and he made some great suggestions that I'd have never thought of. My house looks amazing! His creative mindset and "outside the box thinking" really helped make this a seamless process from the initial contact to some questions I had weeks later. I cannot say enough excellent things about Brad and his crew at Wilmington Uplighting. We first met in a coffee shop and I showed him certain things that I wanted (without going over my budget). He in turn showed me his ideas of how to make my designs even better (and cheaper). Brad sent me sketches and met all my lighting needs! He did things that I didn’t even think was possible! My wedding looked absolutely gorgeous because of him and his team at Wilmington Uplighting. He was affordable, efficient and extremely knowledgeable. Hire them if you need ANYTHING lighting whatsoever…..and even if you don’t, you should just give him a call anyway because he will make any event you may have better and brighter----literally.

Brad and Wilmington Upighting were the perfect additions to our wedding weekend at Ocean Isle Beach. Being from out of town, Brad was responsive to all of our questions and was easily able to draw up a plan of what our vision would look like. He offered numerous lighting options and was able to make last minute changes due to the rainy forecast. Brad also was able to make our favorite part of our wedding décor come true as he created a large hanging lighting fixture for over our head table. It was just what we had pictured and was the center of our wedding reception décor. Whatever you need, Brad can get it done! Wonderful and professional company to join our vendor team!

All I can say is my reception was LIT! Pin lighting accented my gorgeous flower centerpieces as well as my scrumptious cake. There were also strobes of wisteria all on the dance floor - making it the place to be! I absolutely LOVED the digital projection of mine and my husband's name and date that was beautifully monogrammed. Wilmington Uplighting made my wedding reception magical!

Brad was awesome to work with such as arriving well before the ceremony to set up, arriving that late evening on time for pick up, & the lighting he provided for our wedding was beyond beautiful and clean! The chandelier for our ceremony tent gave it the perfect glam touch without over doing it. Brad also provided a custom "gobo" projector with our names which gave our reception a personal touch and lastly he provided a cake pin spot light which gave our cake a shiny/polished look! By far, exceeded our wildest expectations. DO NOT SKIP THE LIGHTING!!! Of all the things that we chose to spend money on, this was the icing on the cake. I am the MOB, wedding planner and organizer. We planned our daughter's wedding long-distance from FL to NC. Brad was always responsive, even going to the venue to be our eyes and ears. I told him we wanted magical and he brought it times ten. We chose a GOBO, water-effect lighting, pin spotting, and various uplighting at the ceremony and reception. Our theme was very elegant and the effect that Brad's lighting ability brought made the event dazzling. Brad is also one of the nicest vendors that we worked with in Wilmington. If I could give him 10 stars, I would!

Brad was wonderful to work with. I never actually met him and we only spoke over the phone, however, he was able to bring my vision to life just based off of our phone calls and emails. He even sketched out the layout for me so I could see exactly what he was explaining. On top of never meeting him, I also booked him just a few days before our wedding and he accommodated me perfectly. He visited the venue on his own, even set up the lights perfectly two days prior to the wedding. I got to see them hung the day before the wedding and that was a great stress reliever being an out of town bride! I knew one detail would be perfect! They were beautiful and twinkled above the tables all night. My guests gave me a lot of compliments on the lighting I chose and how they hung. I highly recommend Brad and Wilmington Uplighting to be your next event lighting vendor!!

There aren't enough words to express how much we loved Brad!! He did such a fantastic job and made our wedding so much more magical than I could have ever dreamed! When we wanted to add something extra the day before the wedding, Brad went and installed what we wanted after he had already completed everything, but even provided us with a great deal. Brad hooked it up! Literally! Our wedding would not have been near as gorgeous without Wilmington Uplighting! He provided the BEAUTIFUL chandelier for the arbor, pin spot lighting for the cake and other places, uplighting that changes colors (so fun when it's time for dancing!), and our monogram on the wall (which he has tons of designs for, even animated options!). DO NOT skip on lighting...it truly transforms a venue! Besides beautiful lighting and awesome service, he also uses an online site for booking, signing the contract and payments which is so much easier than signing, scanning, and sending a check. Wilmington Uplighting made my wedding complete. I couldn't have asked for anything better! Everything he did was perfect, and so detailed. I still get compliments on how awesome everything looked and I have to owe that to the uplighting! My favorite part was the handmade one of a kind light fixture that hung above my dance floor, everyone was in love with it. Also, the gorgeous chandelier that hung from a tree over us for the ceremony, just beautiful especially when the sun starts to go down! Not only did everything come out perfect and exactly how my husband and I wanted but he was so easy to work with and so accommodating. He goes by your schedule and does what you need and want done. He asks you exactly what you want and sincerely cares and wants to make your special day just the way you picture it. I didn't have to worry about anything and he was so helpful with everything. Very professional, genuine and easy to work with. I also loved that he would get back to you asap with any question that I had and helped steer me in the right direction with different things. Wilmington Uplighting is a must for every wedding no matter what your theme is he makes everything come to together perfectly!

They were very affordable(which was very important for me since I was trying to stay within a certain budget). I would highly recommend them for your next event!!!!

Our wedding was at a beach on the east coast and the weather fluctuated daily. We had planned to have string lighting set up outdoors, but were contemplating having it underneath the house in case of rain (beach house on stilts). Brad was flexible until the morning of the event, which significantly lowered our stress level. We ended up having the tables underneath and the string lighting around the pool on the deck. He had white covers for the poles he used to string the lights which helped mark the poles now that there would be no tables. It was a beautiful setting for our toasts.

Wilmington Uplighting went beyond my expectations! We had a beach wedding for my daughter on Ocean Isle Beach. They lit up the outside pool area absolutely beautiful. The glowing bulbs in the pool seemed to be dancing to the music. Everyone made comment on how awesome it looked. Thank you Brad for putting up with me and being so awesome!

Wow!! Brad at Wilmington Uplighting was one of my easiest vendors I worked with hands down. He could not have been more professional, considerate, or efficient! It was so easy from the point of providing the quote to payments, communication, and all the way through to break down of the lights. We barely had to talk at all which every bride knows is a HUGE help. Thank you so much and did I mention the set up was perfect!! Working with Brad on my wedding in Ocean Isle Beach, NC was a pleasure! He was quick to respond to any of my questions and was understanding when circumstances changed the details of my needs.
