I'm not sure how Willow Oak managed to understand the assignment so perfectly, but the flowers were just SO PERFECT for our wedding! We were beyond thrilled. I could not stop staring at my bouquet and have a photo of me hugging it on the dance floor. The florals were really important to me, and we were okay with splurging a little bit, and it was worth it. I wanted a vibe that was darker and rich and vibrant and went well with late autumn, and they nailed it, including peonies and mums and dried orange slices and moss and dark foliage with pops of pretty florals. They also did swags for both of our giant dogs, last-minute corsages for both of our moms, and sent us buckets of loose flowers for us to make our own tabletop bouquets with. They were easy to work with and very friendly and helpful. 10/10 would definitely recommend! -

Willow Oak Flower and Herb Farm did an incredible job on our wedding florals. I literally gasped when I saw them- they were perfect, and way more luxuriant and beautiful than I had hoped. They took my vague, vibes-and-insta-based explanations of what I wanted and made them a reality-- for substantially less, I will add, than most other florists I looked at.
Beyond that, they were very helpful, friendly, and flexible, even when I forgot to mention some details and needed to make a few small changes without a lot of lead time.
My one caveat (if that) is that the farm is a little old fashioned and doesn't have a super consistent/easy-to-use online presence or payment system. So if that bothers you, be prepared! For me, the fact that I had to call in for some credit card payments was WAY more than made up for by the value and quality of service provided. -

Absolutely so incredibly easy to work with. I reached out to Willow Oak after receiving a pretty expensive quote from a different florist that wasn’t even able to deliver to our venue, and Willow Oak provided me with exactly what we needed within our budget. Best of all, they took our inspiration photos and crafted something even more beautiful than I could have dreamed. The perfect touches of blue to a beautifully white and green arrangement. Makes my heart sing how excited and happy I was when Heather arrived at the venue and showed me my bouquet. It was amazing! -

She even worked with me to create a what I called a “flower headband.” I’m glad I lifted weights in the months leading up to the wedding because that bridal bouquet was hefty! -

Dream flowers while supporting a flower farmer!
I love gardening, so my wedding flowers were very important to me. I was overjoyed to be able to support a local flower farmer. The team at Willow Oak delivered beautifully on my dream of whimsical, natural bouquets and arrangements with a focus on lavender and eucalyptus. They added gorgeous accents lavender sprigs to each place setting, and supplied votive candles and vases. Also, they executed everything on wedding day without my hearing a peep - the bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages, sign swag, arrangements, etc. were right where they needed to be without a hitch! I loved my bouquet so much, I plan to get a painting of it made to hang in my home. Would support the again in a heartbeat. -

Wedding flowers were stunnin!
Willow Oaks arranged the flowers for my daughter’s wedding on 4/22/23 Earth Day. My daughter requested that the flowers have an earth day theme which they were able to 100% create. The staff completed the flowers several hours before the event, provided time for us to look at them and were kind, caring and professional throughout the whole process. The flowers were stunning and made an awesome day even more wonderful. I recommend them to everyone and will use Willow Oaks for all events in which I need flowers. Thanks so much! -

Flawlessly Executed
Book Willow Oak now! They executed everything perfectly. My bouquet was amazing and better than I could have ever imagined. Everyone was truly blown away with the bouquets. Although we didn’t do center pieces we did have greenery along the cake tables etc. which was beautiful. Willow Oak was so great to work with and truly blew our expectations out of the water. I cannot recommend them enough. -

When I first started wedding planning I had decided not to prioritize florals. My venue was gorgeous (Gramercy Mansion) and I felt like spending money on flowers was unnecessary. Thankfully my mom convinced me otherwise. I found Willow Oak because if we were going to be spending the money on flowers, at least I wanted to try to be somewhat sustainable. I've always loved dried florals so the fact that Gwen worked in dried and fresh florals into our bouquets was inspired. All of our center pieces, bouquets, boutonnières, aisle arrangements, and arch pieces, and corsages all had the same feeling but they were far from identical. You could tell Gwen really but thought into how all the pieces would fit together without just making the same thing over and over. The day of my wedding I almost ruined my makeup turning my head so quickly to see the aisle arrangements as the Willow Oak team was setting up. The bouquets were INSANE, and photographed so beautifully. They were exactly what I was hoping for and looked like they came directly off of Pinterest. We got so many compliments on our flowers. They matched the vibe and what we were going for exactly without breaking the bank. Im going to preserve my bouquet because I loved it so much. Hands down best company to get florals from. -

Gwen was great to work with and able to pick up where the previous coordinator left off for our wedding. There was an unexpected change in staff a few months before, which happens sometimes, but didn't impact our event at all. Gwen made sure everything was in order and to my specifications the day of and delivered the bouquets to where my girls and I were getting ready. My main request was small bouquets, as I have small hands and wanted to be able to hold the bouquet in one hand completely closed. When they showed up, not only where the stems small and manicured perfectly, but Gwen was able to still have them look full and beautiful. At first, I thought they might still be too big, but they were just perfect! -

Willow Oak Farm is truly a treasure, I can't recommend them enough! My husband and I know nothing about flowers so in our first meeting, we mentioned our colors, style and a few flower types but not much - I was so impressed with the way they perfectly nailed our vision! I also kept adding things to our contract and they took it in stride!
Originally I was planning on doing my own centerpieces- I was going to thrift stores buying different lanterns, wood slices, and electric candles. But once I got about 13 of them, I realized they all looked so different and I had no idea how to make it look cohesive. Bring in Willow Oak to save the day! They were willing to take all of the items I had bought and design the rest themselves. I got on the phone with Kasey after sending her some photos of what I had, and she recommended spray painting the lanterns a light color to make everything more cohesive. They turned out great and we got so many compliments!
Like every other bride out there I also turned to pinterest for hair ideas and found a really cool woven hair garland idea - Willow Oak had never done something like that before but they were totally game, and it turned out beautifully!! I felt like Rapunzel all day!
A few days before our wedding, Kasey called to let me know that the flowers we had chosen, dahlias, had gotten a disease so they'd need to outsource them and couldn't guarantee quality. She asked if they could use a different flower and I said that was fine. I really appreciated the heads up, and they ended up making the most beautiful bouquets!
Willow Oak is a sustainable flower farm that's reasonably priced and has the nicest and most talented staff!

Whimsical and stunning
All I can say is WOW! When I began my journey of searching for florists, I was looking for something unique and out of the box. Kasey and I clicked right away with my whimsical fairy carnival vision. She had insane creativity and seeing it all come to life on the day of the wedding was astounding. When people tell me about the wedding, one of the first things they say is “Your florals were amazing!” I totally agree! I had asked for rainbow pastels and wildflowers that looked like they had bedhead and the final result was spot on. Kasey even had an innovative idea to attach florals to balloon displays. It was breathtaking. I would absolutely recommend working with this team for all your floral needs! -

WOW. Willow Oak seriously delivered on our wedding day. The flowers were absolutely gorgeous! When we met with Heather, all I had was a few pictures from Pinterest and a vague idea of what I wanted. It was mostly, “I gotta have purple, but also stargazers.” My bouquet was the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen and the pew bunches (which doubled as centerpieces at dinner) were stunning. Not to mention the larger arrangements which fit perfectly in the dinner space! I’m going to be so sad when they eventually wilt.
TL;DR - Beautiful flowers. Excellent staff (thanks, Heather and Kasey!). Highly recommend! -

My wife and I had been planning our wedding for two years thanks to COVID. In that time, we went from receiving astronomically high quotes from flower vendors which made us want to do the flowers for the wedding ourselves, but we eventually came across Willow Oak Flower & Herb Farm and couldn’t be happier with our decision. Not only do they have an amazing selection of flowers, their prices are reasonable!
Kasey was our point of contact from beginning to end and she not only understood our vision, she went above and beyond to make the flower arrangements unique and tasteful! We received countless compliments throughout the night and would recommend anyone looking for a florist for their wedding or any event for that matter look no further than Willow Oak! -

I worked with Heather and had the opportunity to visit the flower farm. Heather is fantastic to work with, she loves if you have photos to reference of what you like. The farm has so much to choose from, but the team also can order specific flowers upon request. Willow and Oak overdelivered two days in a row- for my rehearsal and wedding! We got major compliments on the flowers and after taking them home, they have lasted a full week and a half after the wedding. -

We absolutely loved Willow Oak even before officially hiring them. We asked friends for suggestions and recommendations on where to go for our wedding flowers and at least 4 different friends (who didn't know each other) recommended Heather @ Willow Oak. It is family run which we loved; we wanted as many "small" businesses as possible for our wedding vendor team. We visited their shop/garden - so gorgeous! I can't wait to go back and visit in the spring. We hired them before COVID but even when things got overwhelming and crazy Heather was always on top of things. I basically only talked to them once about my wedding flower vision, that's all it took. The flowers they provided for the wedding were beyond what we ever could have imagined. Everyone, and I mean everyone, complimented the flowers, boutonnieres, corsages (which were like a bracelet not a wrist band which we loved!) bouquets and arch decor. They really did outstanding work and we could not have been happier. I had a specific budget in mind for flowers and it ended up being much more affordable then expected; which was great since we had to order additional centerpieces due to covid social distancing. We could not thank Heather and the WOFHF staff enough. I will continue to recommend them!

I was recommended to Willow Oak by my mother. They were absolutely incredible with all of the changes due to the COVID-19 pandemic. I think we changed our wedding plans at least three times. And they were right on the ball with every single change. My flowers were absolutely stunning and the pictures honestly don't do justice to how beautiful they were. I cannot recommend them enough. -

I am so happy about hiring Heather and her team for the flowers for my fall wedding. She took pictures I brought to the initial consultation and I trusted her expertise to execute the flowers for my wedding with the style I was going for. She delivered and then some!! I was absolutely blown away by the amount of flowers at the wedding, I don't even remember bringing that many glass bottles to her. The arbor flowers and bouquets were beyond what I could have dreamed of and my groom loved his boutonniere too. Her team added additional greenery and flowers around other tables and my cake for my reception and really added the perfect final touch needed! After getting engaged, I started truly wedding planning Summer 2018. My husband and I were stationed in Germany. I was searching high and low for a reputable florist in the area with reasonable prices and available on a very popular wedding date! That’s when I discovered Willow Oak which was 10 minutes away from my parents house. Communication with Heather was great and she was able to work well within my budget. When I came home for a visit, we were able to sit down and discuss the various flowers that were going to be in season and finalize my floral vision.
Willow Oak’s contract was simple and easy to understand. Since my ceremony was in Baltimore and parents were close, my Dad was able to come pick up bouquets & boutonnieres which were all labeled and stored properly for travel. Heather and her team set up my reception venue to perfection with her flowers! She even used the excess flowers and greenery to decorate other places in my reception venue! Talk about going above and beyond! Please hire Willow Oak!

We used Willow Oak for our wedding and couldn't be happier with our experience ! It's amazing how Heather created the PERFECT flower arrangements out of me just showing her pictures of things I liked! Heather is super sweet and easy to work with and was so flexible with me adding things I wanted just a few weeks before the wedding! Willow Oak is also A LOT cheaper then other venues we looked at, yet the same quality of flowers you would get if paying more then double the price! Did I mention they're super sweet too??- I heard from our photographer that one of her brides who used them had asked for their boutonnieres the day before, and forgot to put them in the fridge that night, and the day of the wedding they were wilted- Willow Oak made them new boutonnieres for them that day and brought it to them for absolutely no charge!! I highly recommend using Willow Oak for your wedding! -

Beautiful Flowers & Great Execution of vision
Heather and all of Willow Oak staff were great - I can’t recommend them enough. We only gave limited directions (“try and match the colors/style of our invites”) and had a limited budget - and were floored with the results! They were even more beautiful than imagined. They nailed that “Vintage English Garden” aesthetic better than any other florist. We had spoken to a number of different florists in DC, MD, and VA - and not only was Willow Oak’s work some of the best, it was consistently one of the most affordable options.
Delivery was seamless and right on time. All the bouquets, centerpieces, and boutonnieres were great. Seriously, guests came up and were complementing the center-pieces all night! Our wedding was great, but the way the flowers turned out was a pleasant surprise that we didn’t expect. You owe it to yourself to talk to Willow Oak if you are getting married in DC or Maryland. -

My husband and I were married on Jan. 5, and I must admit, I'm not a huge flower person. I like flowers, but the image I had for my wedding mainly involved winter greenery, pine cones, and berries more than it did flowers. In particular, I also really wanted a succulent in my bouquet--I really love succulents! And to be honest, I really did not know who to go to for all of this until my aunt recommended Willow Oak Flower & Herb Farm. They had no problem providing me with all of the winter greenery I wanted. The result was simply stunning. The bridal bouquet, bridesmaids bouquets, and all of the arrangements used for the church and reception were absolutely gorgeous. They brought all of the beauty of winter into the indoors, and the greenery especially made the reception venue even cozier. My favorite part of all, though, was that each of the groomsmen's boutineers had a different kind of succulent in them! I thought that was absolutely adorable. What is even more impressive is that everything used in the wedding was grown on their farm, so it was all incredibly fresh. Our florist was also wonderfully easy to work with, and she arrived at the church at 8 AM to begin decorating! I cannot recommend Willow Oak enough. -

Beautiful, beautiful flowers! I had an idea of what colors I wanted, the shape, and a couple of must have flowers, but I gave the rest over to them to do their magic and wow! They did an amazing job! I wish I had more time to enjoy them, but they really made the wedding. They were the bulk of the decorations, and it was well worth the money. I also loved that they were a local flower farm, so you get to support local businesses and the flowers are really fresh because most are grown on the farm. My flowers smelled wonderful too. Whenever I was getting a little overwhelmed I just stuck my nose into my bouquet and was instantly relaxed. I highly recommend this company! -

She helped work within my budget and incorporated everything I asked for including blue thistle, succulents, eucalyptus, and cream flowers. Even better, they grow local and organic! The delivery was right on schedule, and she delivered to two separate locations for my reception and for my house where I was getting ready. She is so talented and very sweet, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I highly recommend!!

Willow Oak has been there throughout our entire relationship from the day my now husband told them, "I need you to create something for a girl who is my friend who I want to be something more" to our engagement to our wedding. We knew we had to use them for our wedding, and they didn't disappoint. They were so punctual the day of the wedding and we had so many compliments on our flowers. We didn't really have a vision for what we wanted for our flowers, so we gave Heather lots of flexibility and she did such a great job! Hire them and you will be so happy with the result!

We used them for our Oct 28th wedding, and I can't be happier about the decision. I was looking for flowers that were a little whimsical and more gardeny than a traditional florist, and Willow Oak was the perfect choice. Heather was a dream to work with, and when I wasn't exactly sure what I wanted initially, she really read my mind. She was very responsive throughout the whole process and was unendingly patient with last minute additions and changes that I ended up making. They delivered the flowers on time and set everything up beautifully. The flowers themselves were absolutely beautiful and fresh and smelled amazing; quite a few of my guests ended up taking the centerpieces home! I really thing there something be said for patronizing a small farm that grows all of their own flowers. I definitely will be returning in the spring to buy some of their other plants. If you're looking for a well-priced florist who has a massive streak of artistic talent, Willow Oak is exactly what you're looking for.

Heather immediately understood what kind of flowers I wanted, and was incredibly kind and patient throughout the entire ordering process. When I went to pick up my flowers the day before they even helped bring out the flowers and pack them in my car. The bouquets were beautiful, the boutonnieres and hair combs were stunning. Deanna Sent on 06/14/2014I knew from the start that I wanted to use local, seasonal flowers. It is less expensive and less of a carbon footprint. There are not many florists in the area that offers this service. Willow Oak grows their own flowers and arranges them as well! When I first visited the farm, it was simply magical. Dried flowers hanging from the walls and jars of herbs and teas lined the shelves. Instantly I knew this was the florist for me. I did a rustic chic theme, but in their fridge were bouquets of white roses and pearls. They are truely diverse and will cater to any bride and vision.
I gave Heather, my consultant, a picture from a magazine of a bouquet that I thought embodied my personal vision. She immediately understood and gave me plenty of suggestions and we together planned a order.
She arrived with her team the day of the wedding with all of the centerpieces and extras and set everything up for us. I ordered flower crowns for me and the bridesmaids and she even helped us put them on. They stayed late and assisted the entire bridal party including parents, and helped them pin their flowers.
I recommend Heather and Willow Oak a million times over. -

She really knew what flowers and styles to recommend in matching our rustic-theme. A couple weeks before the wedding, we had to re-consider our flower budget and Heather was so considerate. We decided to opt for bulk flowers for our centerpieces, which she even took the liberty of placing on each of our book centerpieces the day of the wedding. I felt so bad that I never got a chance to thank her, especially since I was in a bit of a panic because I made the mistake of not adding another bouquet when I added another bridesmaid. Heather was on-site and quickly whipped up a new bouquet, which matched perfectly with the rest. All in all, the bouquets were beautiful, the aisle arrangements looked like they were straight out of a magazine, and our guests couldn't stop taking pictures of them! Thank you so much to Heather and all the staff who helped in making such beautiful flowers for our wedding! -

Elizabeth Sent on 11/06/2012Ok. I am OBSESSED with all of our bouquets and centerpieces from Willow Oak. I wish they would all last forever! Heather was amazing and I told her some flowers that I liked but basically gave her our color scheme, a swatch of the bridesmaids dresses, and asked her to use what was in season and what she thought would look nice. My bouquet was the most gorgeous bouquet I have ever seen. I gave her peach silk ribbon to wrap it in, and it was pinks and peaches and just perfect. SO romantic. It was exactly what I wanted, without even really knowing what I wanted!!!! Our centerpieces were flower arrangements in white pumpkins, which totally amazed our guests. Their herb bouquets were so gorgeous!
