Golden Bell understood the assignment
Stop your search right here, Golden Bell is what you're looking for. Marlon and the team absolutely brought the vibes and all of our guests won't stop talking about them. Before our wedding day, Marlon was super attentive, responsive, and overall fun to work with. He really went out of his way to ensure our entire day went exactly as we envisioned. The energy of the live band combined with the well-mixed playlist certainly kept people entertained the whole party, and the dance floor stayed packed the entire night. We can not think of one thing that Golden Bell could have done better. They have our highest recommendation. -

Golden Bells was PHENOMENAL!
Marlon and the entire band absolutely crushed it at our wedding.
Not only is every musician insanely talented, but Marlon curated the night perfectly -- easing in with oldies to get our parents and older guests moving, then seamlessly shifting into the EDM, pop, and Bay Area rap we love. It felt like the soundtrack of us, and everyone could feel that.
One of the highlights of the night was when the band came onto the dance floor with drums, trumpet, guitar, and trombone -- and even let us drum in a bit. The energy was unbelievable.
And Hava Nagila with a full live band? Unreal. The band/DJ fusion setup made the entire reception feel elevated, unique, and unforgettable. They're truly a one-of-one.
We got so many compliments throughout the night and later about the music, the vibe, and the experience the band created. Everything ran smoothly -- from emceeing to sound to transitions -- and you can tell the quality of their equipment and professionalism is top-notch.
We can't thank Marlon and the Golden Bells team enough for making our wedding feel like a celebration we'll never forget. Highly, highly recommend them! -

The Golden Bells played at our wedding this September at the Grand Island Mansion, and they were so incredible! I wish we could relive the night over and over. We had the DJ, sax, and trumpet trio and it was the perfect hybrid setup. The mix of live instruments with a DJ made for such a fun night with a mix of fun old school music and then dancey vibes as the night progressed.
Their playlist was perfectly curated and included all of our must-have songs. They even played a spontaneous birthday song for my brother turning 30 per my request (In Da Club x 50 cent) with the sax and it was so amazing. The dance floor was packed all night which was exactly what we wanted. Everyone is still talking about our wedding band and how the hybrid DJ-band vibe was the best thing they’ve ever seen at a wedding.
They completely exceeded our expectations and brought our night to life. I would also add that they are incredibly organized and communicative leading up to the big day which is key!
I can't thank them enough for the most amazing night.

Golden Bell is a MUST HAVE for your wedding! WOW we were blown away and so were our guests! Everyone kept commenting on how amazing the musicians were, the best wedding DJ ever! They brought so much energy to the dance floor, people were literally dancing the night away, which is what I really hoped for for our wedding! Our lead DJ Morgan was so awesome and communicative AND she rocked it on the clarinet and saxophone! And Maddie on the trombone was just incredible! We LOVED Golden Bell!! We love live music but didn’t want a traditional wedding band. Enter – Golden Bell. It was the perfect mix of playing exactly what we wanted, but with the added live music experience. They were such talented musicians and had the dance floor going all night long.
Paul was our DJ and drummer. He reached out to us in advance to review our playlists and other special songs. He offered some suggestions and even spliced a song together for me to make it the perfect length and sentiment.
I appreciated everything Golden Bell brought to our event. We had a fantastic time jumping and dancing all around our dance floor with all our friends and family. What a truly unique experience to share with our guests. We will never forget it!

Okay, seriously, if you're planning an event and thinking about a band/dj hybrid, you have to look into Golden Bell Music. Our wedding on June 27, 2025, at Viansa Winery in Sonoma, CA, was everything we dreamed of and so much more, and honestly, a huge part of that credit goes directly to them. We spent 11 months planning every detail, and booking Golden Bell Music as one of our very first vendors was hands-down the best decision we made. The band/DJ hybrid concept? Pure genius! It absolutely delivers the best of both worlds, and they pulled it off flawlessly.
But really, the biggest shout-out – and the core of this whole review – belongs to the phenomenal Marlon Aldana, our DJ and drummer. We first spotted him in action on Golden Bell's Instagram, and it was an instant "that's our guy!" moment. You can imagine our excitement when we found out he was available for our date! Working with Marlon from the very beginning was just an absolute pleasure. He wasn't just playing music; he was genuinely feeling the room, intuitively knowing when to let a song build or transition to keep the energy up. All of our "must-plays" were there, the do not-play was respected, and the dance floor never once emptied
And talk about flexibility! We had a last-minute idea to add an extra instrument, and the Golden Bell team didn't blink. They jumped right in, helping us find the perfect addition without any issues. Plus, we had a separate violinist for our ceremony, and it was so impressive to see how effortlessly all the vendors collaborated. No drama, just smooth, professional teamwork, which really speaks volumes about Golden Bell's commitment to making your day seamless.
Now, for the ultimate highlight: our after-party! We decided to do something a little different and host it in a wine cellar, and Marlon and his team elevated it beyond anything we could have imagined. When they brought in a fog machine, the entire atmosphere transformed. It wasn't just a party; it was an experience! That fog machine honestly MADE the party, turning the space into something truly epic. I genuinely can't picture it having the same incredible energy without it, so a massive thank you for that unexpected, perfect touch. And because we had a masquerade theme, I asked if the DJs would wear disco masks and they SAID YES and wore them the entire time, even after I told them they absolutely didn't have to for more than one song! It just created such an amazing vibe, and we've got the pictures to prove how much fun everyone had!
There's just so much to appreciate about this incredible group. If you want your special day to be filled with fantastic music, seamless execution, and an unforgettable atmosphere, you absolutely have to choose Golden Bell Music. They truly are exceptional!

We got SOOOO many positive comments from our guests about Golden Bell! The music is such an important part of the wedding and this group does not disappoint. Golden Bell was INCREDIBLE. We can't thank the team enough for their support in making our wedding dreams come true. Paul was fantastic as our MC – he was organized, enthusiastic, and a skilled DJ/musician. Particularly in the handling of specific interests and our taste in music, Paul was attentive and diligent in preparing and following through. And Nico was also an all-star handling the logistics of our ceremony.
The ceremony audio was flawless, the recessional parade was iconic; their handling of all of our special requests was masterful, and most importantly the dance floor was electric!!! If I could rate Golden Bell honestly, I would rate them 6/5 stars, 11/10, 110%, and A+++++ with extra credit. The dance party was hugely important to my husband and I, and they delivered with the most epic dance party. Not only do the live instruments add SO MUCH to the music we already love, but they brought the VIBE we wanted. Marlon and his team were seriously so fun - I know other friends of mine that are getting married next year have inquired about hiring them because no one wanted to stop dancing. The dance floor was alive from start to finish - just how we wanted it. We first saw Golden Bell at my sister's wedding the year before we had ours, and after doing some looking around, we knew that no one would compare to having the trio play at ours (there was really no question from the start). There's no way to describe the sprinkle of magic that Golden Bell brings - it's something that just needs to be experienced. This team knows how to throw a party! We had a great time working with Chris in advance of our wedding and crafting the perfect vibes for our reception. Halfway through our convo, Chris just said “I got you, I see what you’re going for,” and boy did they deliver! Our guests were blown away with the quality of the music and the dance floor was always packed. The music was spot on, ebbed and flowed with the evening, and we were sad to see it end. One of the highlights of our wedding day was after our ceremony when the band was waiting on the dance floor with a New Orleans style celebration. It was so joyful and set the vibes high for the rest of the night. We used Golden Bell for our wedding in the Bay Area earlier this month. We can't say enough positive things -- Marlon was our lead DJ/drummer - he and the other two musicians were amazing. Our guests loved them and had an outstanding time. It was exactly what my husband and I were hoping it would be. Marlon did an incredible job beforehand, talking through the type of music we liked and wanted to hear. He also gave us some great advice and assured us he could flex if the dancers weren't feeling a song, and easily move on to something else. The night of they were on point, and Marlon was super responsive when I asked him to play a certain artist or song. If we ever have another big party, we will for sure bring them on. -

Our DJ Nico, saxophonist Jonathan and the Golden Bell team absolutely crushed it!! After we saw videos online of Golden Bell performing at weddings, we knew we had to hire them. We wanted both live music and EDM on our wedding day. Golden Bell is the perfect DJ/band combination just for this. We also loved the fact that they're a collective of local artists in the Bay Area. For our wedding, we chose "The Trio" package along with the photobooth and dance floor lighting.
Brendan was the main point of contact for our wedding and he knocked it out of the park. We met with him before the wedding to go over our vision and he was incredibly thorough, timely, attentive, and honest about what he believed would work best for us. Side note, he's also cool as hell. The bride (me) is from New Orleans, LA and wanted to incorporate a mini second line into the wedding day. As we weren't sure of how we were going to enter the reception area, Brendan suggested entering the reception via second line and we LOVED the idea. It was just so creative and perfect for us. What's more, Brendan and the other Golden Bell members killed it on the dance floor. They played a really cool version of Hava Nagila during the hora and brought the energy! Our guests were dancing around them all night long.
Finally, the photobooth and lighting were great additions! The picture quality was great and even included options for Boomerangs.
It was the BEST experience and we would hire them again without hesitation. -

GOLDEN BELL WAS AMAZING!! Marlon Aldana and Chris Hoog were incredible musicians and DJs keeping the party going! They timed the intergenerational music perfectly to get all our family on the dance floor early on and for several hours, and then as the night went on pulled from more contemporary music. One of our friends came up to us, and said "I hope you're paying these guys A LOT, they are doing an AMAZING JOB." After the party in the following week, so many people came up to us to tell us how fun the dance party was, which was completely made possible by Marlon & Chris. THANK YOU BOTH!!! -

Marlon and Golden Bell - just WOW! These guys are incredible and completely blew us away the night of our wedding. Can we just say how lively, fun, and talented this group of musicians is?!?! When deciding on music for our wedding, we were torn between a live band for the sound and energy and a dj for the versatility of music, so when we found Golden Bell, we were elated! We could have both! And not only that, but we got the best lead musician in the biz - Marlon. Thank you. He was really easy to work with and has great energy, but perhaps the most important thing - he just GETS IT. After meeting with him to discuss the music vibe we wanted throughout our day, we felt soooo heard and honestly just at ease. Music was one of the most important things for us to get right on our day, and it was so nice knowing that we were in good hands with Marlon and the other Golden Bell musicians. Golden Bell brings the party!
GoldenBell is such a brilliant concept and Chris Paxton and his team were the highlight of our wedding! Chris did an amazing job MC’ing the night and was so fun and easy to work with in the weeks leading up to the wedding. The team brought incredible energy to the dance floor and kept it going all night. There were a few times during the set where we applauded because the transitions between songs were so smooth and original. We were so lucky to have these three talented musicians play for our friends and family! Chris even sent us a video of our nearest and dearest closing out the dance floor to one of our favorite songs. GoldenBell really goes the extra mile to make your party unique, fun, and memorable. 15/10 would recommend. -

Hiring Golden Bell was the best decision we made for our wedding day!! We got married outside in Hood River OR and Golden Bell music was the most insanely perfect addition to our day. The wedding planning process can be overwhelming but Chris was so cool and calm and made it all a dream come true. Our guests (& venue employees!) could not stop raving about them either.! We gave Chris a general idea of our music interests for the evening and he totally nailed it- everyone was having the best time on the dance floor all night long. These folks aren’t simply incredibly talented musicians but you can tell they truly love what they do- they beought the best energy and my favorite part was when they got out on the sance floor and joined in the fun while jamming along with our favorite songs. There is a reason Golden Bell has 5-star ratings on every platform.
When my fiancé (now husband) and I booked Golden Bell for our June wedding at Solage, we had really high expectations. They far EXCEEDED them.
My husband is a musician and is the CEO of our local professional philharmonic and opera. We are both also huge EDM fans (i.e. have attended Tomorrowland EDM music festival in Boom, Belgium). It was really important for us to have to have both a DJ and live instruments. Neither our wedding planner or venue had worked with Golden Bell before so we booked them off the reviews and a great introductory meeting. When people talk about our wedding, the incredible DJ/band is always one of the top 3 mentions (everyone kept asking us where we found this amazing DJ/Band and how they'd never heard anything like it!).
All 3 musicians were amazing (we did the "trio package"), but we need to give some huge special props to our lead, DJ Paul Oliphant. He was super communicative, fun, and really took the time to get to know us, our musical style, and our timeline and run of show. It was clear from the start that he genuinely cared about us and our guests having the time of our lives (and we did!).
Thanks to Golden Bell and DJ Paul, our wedding was a huge rager! The minute we transitioned to the dance party, it was A PARTY! Even the 90-year old grandmas were dancing hard right until midnight (when we had to turn off the sound per the venue rules). They did an amazing job of incorporating all the songs we wanted (some which were admittedly more eclectic) and having it flow in a way that was super inclusive and so fun for everyone. I also loved when they came onto the dance floor and got my husband playing some percussion instruments with them. It's been a few weeks since our wedding and people are still talking about the band! They brought so much energy and were super talented professional musicians.
When planning a wedding, you can't have it all (unless you have a bottomless budget of course!), but for us having live music and a really good DJ was a must have. We were so grateful to partner with Golden Bell and DJ Paul to make our wedding dreams come true!! They were absolutely worth every penny! We both agree they were the best money we spent on our wedding. Highly recommend asking for DJ Paul if he's available too, wonderful person, talented DJ/musician, and really great to work with.

We absolutely loved Golden Bell! They were so professional, fun, helpful and talented. All the guests loved them too, and were out dancing, including guests who say they never dance. The DJ mixing was top notch, and add the live instruments on top *chefs kiss*. The trio was amazing and blew everyone away. The band even came out onto the dance floor a few times, which was unexpected and awesome!
We had concerns about noise ordinances so had the option to have a silent disco, which was really helpful. We just wished the trio could have played for longer since they were so great, but that was no fault to the Golden Bell, just a matter of dealing with noise restrictions. Lis also helped to play a song during the speech by the best men, that really took the speech to the next level. They helped us with lighting as well, to really set the party mood in the tent. Through and through, Golden Bell was the best! Now we just want to see them play again! -

Marlon, Obrayan, and Sebastian were amazing! We had an 80 person, outdoor wedding and Golden Bell was absolutely one of the highlights. Perhaps the best part. They played a 3hr set and practically everyone was dancing the entire time. Incredible mashups incorporating the live band, great energy and song choice, an unforgettable hora, and more. At one point Marlon and the crew came into the crowd, did a little musical parade, and played right around me and my wife while we danced... so fun!
So many people asked us, "Where did you find this band!? They're amazing!" The live band / DJ hybrid is a great format, and Marlon and his team absolutely nailed it. The sound for our ceremony and toasts was also spot-on... I have no complaints whatsoever. Thank you! -

Golden bell, Lis and the band members were amazing!! Our guests can not stop talking about how awesome and fun they were and they were so great throughout the process. my dad wanted to play the guitar during his speech and Lis and the team took time before and after the wedding making it happen as a surprise to me and my now husband. if you are on the fence, hire golden bell it was sooo worth it. -

Golden Bell is AWESOME! My partner and I hired them for our wedding at Stern Grove October 15th, 2022. We wanted both the flexibility of choosing our own music as well as the sound of live music, and they are the perfect combination! I was stunned how they listened to our whole playlist and learned the beats and also mixed them to add drums, trumpet and sax! Just WOW. So many of our guests commented on how awesome they were and how much fun they had dancing. We really didn't want all the classic wedding songs, and they honored that, as well as the playlist we gave to them, and put in their own artistic creation to create such a fun dance party! They were also incredibly professional and prompt in communication up to the event. All around excellent! -

Look no further - these guys are the only wedding/event DJ you'll ever want. In fact, if they're not available on your current wedding date consider moving your date so they are available. They were INCREDIBLE! They played amazing music that everyone could dance to. They had amazing energy that kept everyone at the wedding moving for hours! They were professional, great to communicate with, engaged with the guests, were on time, the whole 9 yards. I cannot rave about these guys enough. We got married about a month ago and Golden Bell Music was our favorite part of our wedding. Music was incredibly important to us and we knew from the start of planning this would be the aspect we would be the most critical of. As soon as we found Golden Bell we knew we were in good hands. They were very responsive and worked with us to source our favorite music.
The day of the wedding they blew our expectations out of the water! The way they flow songs together was nothing we had seen before and they balanced music to ensure it appealed to all age groups. I don't think my husband and I left the dance floor once. We also heard from the majority of our guests this was the best music they have heard at a wedding.

This band IS AMAZING. We booked it because I (groom) wanted a band and the bride wanted a DJ. Golden Bells is the perfect mix.
And they got the dance floor MOVING. We gave them a playlist of songs we liked, and they used that to construct a non stop party for 2 straight hours. And they were amazing to work with around special requests.
For our Hava Nagila (jewish wedding song) we went back and forth about the style we wanted, and they nailed it. They even learned some Russian songs to accommodate all the Russian guests.
Nothing but the best to say about this team. I want to hire them every Friday night, where ever I am. Nothing but good things. -

Can't recommend Golden Bell enough!! They rocked the house and were such a highlight and gem of our wedding! The trumpet + sax accompaniment to our first dance was surreal and really took the evening to the next level. Chris is easy to work with, responsive, and delivered big time! I am already thinking about the next party we get to hire them for as once is not enough! -

We debated for a long time between a DJ and a live band for our wedding, so when we stumbled across Golden Bell we knew we hit the jackpot. From signing the contract to the planning process before our wedding day, everything felt seamless - these folks are professionals! Chris & Will were super responsive when we had questions or concerns, and are totally easy to work with - we were so appreciative of the thoughtful calls with them. For our wedding, Donovan, Charlie, Fabio, and Marcus were total rockstars. Charlie specifically managed the sound systems for our ceremony, dinner, and the night of dancing. Charlie, Fabio, and Marcus are all crazy skilled musicians and Donovan DJed a set filled with hits. We are so grateful they were all with us on our wedding day, and helped us dance the night away!

We first found Golden Bell when Will played at our friends' wedding. He was phenomenal - truly the best music and engagement with the guests we had experienced at a wedding. When it came time for our own wedding, we immediately booked Golden Bell and Chris was similarly awesome. He kept the party going until the venue shut us down and the guests loved it. Truly could not recommend more highly. Also easy to work with and great taste in music! -

High energy, creative and amazing sound!
Chris and Golden Bell absolutely crushed it on our wedding day! Not only did they cover all of our musical needs for the entire wedding (ceremony, cocktail hour and dance party) they brought a ton of energy and amazing renditions on the dance floor. The DJ/live band hybrid worked really well and allowed them to creatively cover a wide range of music requests. They were also professional, communicative and super easy to work with. FUN DJ/live experience for our wedding
Golden Bell Music was SO much fun for our wedding. Everyone loved the live music aspect of our entertainment. The horns were a great addition to having them DJ. Definitely recommend these guys for your next event! -
