When it came to selecting our flowers for our wedding day, we knew we wanted something unique but truly had no idea where to start.
We met with April and immediately felt so at ease with her approach to planning out the different floral elements - she was able to create exactly what we wanted (but couldn't quite verbalize) and was even able to add some more non-traditional touches to our day for us to keep (wreaths, potted plants, etc.).
While we knew April would do an incredible job with the flowers, what we didn't expect is HOW beautiful they actually would be. Out of all the elements our guests remember from our wedding day, the flowers were definitely on that list. Not only were the arrangements absolutely stunning, but April was so lovely to work with - she made us feel at ease, was more than happy to update things as we got closer to the day, and executed flawlessly both for our rehearsal dinner and our wedding day.

We met April at a wedding in expo and immediately knew we wanted to work with her. We were planning on doing our own florals to save money but April was able to work with us and our budget to create the most beautiful florals (that we didn’t have to do ourselves!). Throughout the entire planning process she was so easy to work with and as someone who had no idea what kind of florals I wanted, I trusted her to create something beautiful using her own expertise. We got so many compliments on our florals! We also loved that we could rent vases, candles, etc. from her so we didn't have to get that stuff on our own. Highly recommend!! -

April did such a fabulous job on our Chuppah and my bouquet. We initially were hesitant for flowers because of our budget, but April was willing to work with us and created two pieces that completely knocked it out of the park. April did an absolutely AMAZING job with our wedding flowers. I was going for a "wildflower" look for my flowers and April nailed it. My flowers were so fresh, colorful, vibrant, and just perfect! When we met to plan with April she was so knowledgeable and helpful in making my vision come to life. She provided ideas for the ceremony space and the reception tables. She provided bud vases, votives, and table runners for our tables. It was so helpful that she had so many different "things" to help decorate and we didn't have to purchase separately. Several guests commented on how beautiful the florals were, and I couldn't have agreed more. I was obsessed with my flowers and was so sad when they died off. -

April did such a great job with my wedding. I had a little bit of a unique ask, in that for reception i provided 110 wine bottle vases and tons of houseplant cuttings, and she added flowers to finish them off (the cuttings were rooted for favors). The bouquets were beautiful, the flower girl hair pieces, boutonnieres, corsages, literally everything was perfect. When a certain type of flower came in damaged, she made the perfect swaps. I would work with April again and again. -

Wonderful vendor!
April was such a wonderful florist to work with! She created beautiful floral designs that matched our inspiration perfectly. She very impressively worked within an already-stretched budget and was blessedly price-conscious, but you would never have known from the look of the flowers. She knew how to make our venue shine without overpowering its natural beauty. She was professional, kind, and helpful. She went above and beyond helping my family set up the chuppah (Jewish wedding canopy) we had made for the event when we needed an extra set of hands. She is so laid back and so creative, always helping me out with ideas when I was trying to figure out what I wanted for our wedding day and exceedingly patient when I switched my wedding colors after our first consult and therefore wanted to update all the colors in her first proposal. She was so easy to work with every step of the way, helping us add and subtract different elements as we got closer to the day, and she even delivered, set up and then picked up flowers for our rehearsal dinner and welcome party that she then repurposed for our wedding the next day. Her prices are also SO reasonable and she always made sure we were staying within the budget I had laid out. If you're thinking about booking April and her team, do it now!!! -

We worked with April and Wildflower Weddings for our May wedding at the Baltimore Museum Of Art and highly recommend booking them for your wedding. April has such a creative eye and really took the time in the beginning to get to know what we wanted and added her own suggestions and ideas to compliment ours. She created absolutely stunning arrangements for our wedding while sticking to our budget. The week leading up, communication with April was excellent and she was so flexible when we needed to move our ceremony inside because of rain. April Reardon and Wildflower Weddings brought my floral dreams to life at our wedding at Walker’s Overlook on 9.25.2021! When we started planning our wedding, I knew I wanted real flowers and a lot of them- especially roses and greenery. I spoke with 4 different florists to get pricing quotes, and no one could offer as many flowers as April and beat her price- the value was fantastic! Not to mention she sources a portion of her flowers locally from Bend in The River Farm which guarantees top notch freshness! We ordered a sample centerpiece arrangement for Valentine’s Day before the wedding and were so impressed with the quality of her greenery and flowers- most of them lasted beautifully for 2 weeks! After seeing this arrangement in person I knew our wedding arrangements were going to be fabulous!
For our wedding, April delivered a gorgeous five and a half foot diameter floral chandelier, 25 centerpieces, 5 bouquets, 14 boutonnières, a seating chart floral spray, a welcome arrangement, two boxes of tossing petals, a floral hair pin, flowers for our cake, a complimentary photo box, a floral garland and 2 large ceremony aisle arrangements. April repurposed the two barrel arrangements and the garland from our ceremony for the reception- we really got the most out of our arrangements! She also provided all the vases for our reception centerpieces and vases for the bridal and bridal squad bouquets- this really kept our bouquets looking fresh all day! She also incorporated string lights in all of our arrangements like I asked, helped set up candles on our reception tables and stayed on site through the ceremony to move our garland to our sweetheart table- talk about dedication and fantastic service! She really was crucial in making sure our reception looked and smelled beautiful, and we are so thankful she was a part of our wedding day team!
When I saw my bouquet I was so excited and couldn’t believe it was mine! The bridal squad bouquets complimented my bouquet perfectly, and they were all just the right size with blossoms in perfect bloom! The floral chandelier was definitely our favorite arrangement and really added a natural and elegant touch to our reception. It was obvious that April creates a lot of floral chandeliers, and I’m so glad we trusted her with this focal point arrangement!
At the end of the night April came back promptly to clean up everything and let our guests take home any flowers they wanted. Her help with cleanup and letting us keep the flowers we wanted was the perfect ending to a beautiful floral display. Our arrangements lasted for atleast another week past the wedding which we did not anticipate after they were handled and moved so much! We received so many compliments on our flowers and they were everything I wanted to see at our wedding! It’s no surprise that Wildflower Weddings is a preferred vendor with Walker’s Overlook- April is very familiar with the property and staff, and together they make an excellent team! Thank you so much to April and her team for everything and for bringing our vision to life- we could not have been happier with our flowers and our experience with Wildflower Weddings!

All we had to do was tell April the colors that we wanted, and a general theme, and then we gave her creative freedom. (I actually didn’t even fully know what the floral arrangements would look like until the day of the wedding, but I knew we were in good hands so I wasn’t worried in the slightest!). I’m so glad that we gave April the freedom to run with it and do what she does best, because the florals that she designed for us were absolutely gorgeous!! She also made an evergreen garland for our long dinner table, which was so beautiful for our intimate winter wedding! (We actually are still using the evergreen garlands as winter decor in our home! They are such good quality, they still look as good as they did in December!). Another thing that I loved about working with April was that she asked for our floral budget upfront so that she could design something beautiful within our price range. She is also very responsive if you need to get in touch with her! I would highly recommend April to anyone looking for a florist in the Frederick area! You won’t be disappointed! -

Where do I even begin?! April is an absolute LEGEND and by far one of the best decisions I made for my big day. When I had to cancel my big wedding in Frederick due to COVID and downsize for a more intimate gathering in the Annapolis area, April was onboard immediately and ready to help turn our vision into a reality.
Let me start with the flowers. I've never seen such gorgeous arrangements and bouquets in my LIFE. She has such a talent for taking your ideas and turning them into reality with ease. I showed her a couple pictures on our first consultation, and she ran with it from there and provided us with the exact flowers that we were looking for - plus they were reasonably priced as well.
The best part about April is that she's also willing to help you set everything up, and this is really where she saved the day for us. She single handedly turned my childhood home into a wedding venue with her decor - it literally took my breath away when I saw it! She set up flowers on our arch, spread petals along our aisle, strung greenery up and down the staircase, placed candles perfectly around our tables, and so much more completely by herself. And EVERYTHING she did was absolute perfection. She worked her ass off for us that day and still always had a smile on her face.
My mom and I were so nervous when we decided to have the wedding at home that it wouldn't feel like a real wedding, but boy we were wrong, and it was truly all thanks to April. I could never thank her enough for everything she did for us that day, and I would hire her again in a heartbeat.

At my first meeting with April, she came up with tons of great flower ideas that went with the vibe I had in mind for the wedding. Since she had worked at my venue before, she gave great recommendations as to where to put flowers in the ceremony and reception space. She then sent a super detailed proposal with pricing and stayed within my budget. And everything came out beautifully! I would highly recommend April and her team for your wedding bloom needs!

Flowers were easily one of my absolute favorite parts of the day and that's saying something because it was the perfect day! April truly brought my vision to life a million times better than I could have ever imagined. She has the coolest, laid back style and makes beautiful, unique pieces. She was SO easy to work with and clearly knows what she's doing. My planner and I had a million requests for her- we put flowers, garland and greenery everywhere! Seriously everywhere, April did bouquets, boutonnieres, centerpieces, church flowers, cake flowers, tent hangings, greenery on our seating chart, two backdrops and tent entrance, a wreath for the dog, the cutest hoops for flower girls, and the most amazing boho flower crown of my dreams, complete with feather accents. April made it all happen like it was a breeze for her. Also need to mention everyone told me over and over to expect flowers to be the most expensive part of the day but the prices were more than reasonable for the gorgeous work she did. I was so pleased with the cost and cannot recommend her highly enough! I received so many compliments and even both companies preserving my flowers said they have never seen such a unique bouquet (they rarely have sage, which I think is the coolest thing ever)! I wish I could include a picture of every single thing here but there's so many, go look at her Instagram for more beautiful work but also, just hire her!!! You will NOT regret it. -

April is a visionary and managed to help me develop my fragmented array of ideas into the most beautiful floral designs that truly made me gasp when I saw them. If you are reading this and you need someone to help you shape your hundreds of Pinterest ideas into the perfect wedding arrangements and decor, then go to April! I can't believe what she managed to create with our budget. Every little detail was special, from the beautiful wire cuffs for the mothers and grandmothers corsages to the twine wrapped boutonnieres. My bouquet was my absolute favorite, I told April I wanted dramatic deep plums and reds with gorgeous greenery and she delivered all that and more. Flowers and greenery can do so much to add a finishing touch onto anything and the small addition of smilax vines on signs and on the fireplace mantel completed our rustic fall wedding. A huge thank you to April and Kelsey! -

April is PHENOMENAL. I don't even know where to begin..
First of all, she is the most adorable person ever with the best style. She is truly so talented and her creativity blows my mind. On top of all this, she is kind, fun, and full of energy.
April delivered everything I wanted AND SO MUCH MORE. Not only does she supply the flowers for your event, but she comes and decorates for you too. When she told me this, I was sold. If you ever stop by Velvet Lounge or her office, you know that both those spaces are so beautifully decorated.
I went back and forth several times on colors and April was super accommodating each time. I also had a huge fiasco with my venue happen less than 16 hours before go time. I immediately called April and she calmed me down and on the day of, did everything she could to accommodate the change and even added extra candles and decorations to make the space look that much better.
April- THANK YOU, Tim and Kelsey for everything that you all did! Your team is amazing and I will be forever grateful to have worked with such a great team of people!

April is amazing (and that is an understatement). I walked into my first appointment knowing I love succulents and knowing that they are expensive. April helped me figure out where to save and splurge and helped me pick out my other flowers (and now I also love ranunculus).
April sent a spreadsheet and a document with images of what I wanted my flowers to look like. They were so clear and easy to understand.
April allowed us to drop off our decor with her before the wedding and she set everything up for us. I am so grateful that I could spend my time on my wedding day with family and friends instead of decorating.
As an aside, my dad recently reached out to April to request flowers for my grandmother's funeral. They were gorgeous and unique, and it meant the world to our family. -

Highly Recommend Wildflower Weddings
I highly recommend Wildflower Weddings! I was having trouble finding a florist in the Northern Virginia area that matched the loose and organic style I wanted. After coming across Wildflower Weddings, I decided to take a chance, and I could not be more pleased with the results. The process was easy - I sent April my Pinterest board and she sent back a proposal. When I was uncertain about a few of the flowers she proposed, she went as far to send me pictures of the actual flowers from the farm she would be using. Great customer service! The final result matched the vibe and style I wanted and everyone loved the flowers! April was easy to communicate with and her prices were very reasonable for the area. She even worked with me when the original proposal was over my budget. Highly recommend to any bride! -

She worked with our (pretty low) budget, offering more affordable greenery options and letting us know realistically what we could and could not do. She even offered to re-use the garland on the altar for our head table, so we saved even more money that way. The flowers and the set up were gorgeous. I couldn't have asked for a better outcome. The only thing that was hard was that she was difficult to reach via email at times, and it took calling her on the phone to get a response. But that seemed to work well. -

She also provided a list of what kind of flowers she was thinking of using, which was great because although I wouldn't see the bouquets til day of, I knew they would be exactly what I was looking for. She also made a gorgeous flower piece for my hair that was everything I wanted.
She also thinks about EVERYTHING. As we were talking flowers, she made a ton of great suggestions on areas to add flowers to and ways we could "recycle" the ceremony flowers as reception decor. She is very responsive, a master at her craft, and an overall great vendor to work with, I highly recommend her! -

I wanted something simple for the ceremony, mostly greenery and decorations for a wooden arche that my venue provided. It wasn’t much, but Ashley immediately knew how to make my vision a reality. I showed her a few photos and she was quickly able to give me a quote and suggestions of what would look best. She is extremely flexible and did not push me to get anymore than what I wanted or needed. She was extremely timely, and so easy to work with. -

She sent me an excel breakdown of the flowers (with prices) by the stem and a flower organizer with the inspiration pictures I sent her. My bridal bouquet was perfect and looked like the inspiration pic, but with April's unique touch.
April accommodated my many requests for changes to the initial plan throughout the wedding planning process (I changed my mind about 5 times from boutonnieres to no bouts, from larger alter arrangements to smaller ones, etc) . She also split our balance into payments and she helped us to save money! She gave recommendations on which flowers to swap to help us save money.
We did mason jars and wildflowers for the table arrangements and April used local wildflowers and they looked unique and BEAUTIFUL. We got so many compliments. I love that she also utilizes local farms. -

We absolutely LOVED working with April for our wedding! She used locally sourced, seasonal flowers which really helped to match our gorgeous fall wedding. Only good things to say about April at Wildflower Weddings! We originally booked with her in late 2019 for a 2020 wedding, only to reschedule twice due to the pandemic. Throughout all the changes, she was flexible, responsive, and helpful. She was familiar with our venue & the coordinator there, so we barely had to do anything! I shared my Pinterest board with her and gave her the basics of what we were looking for, and she helped us refine our vision & executed it perfectly- you can tell she has a natural talent for this. Not to mention, we came in well under budget! Would 100% recommend for any wedding or event in the area. -

The flowers April used were beautiful and perfect for a fall wedding. Chuppah flowers made it an even more gorgeous outdoor setting at Sugarloaf Mountain. The table arrangements were subtle but again beautiful, picking up on the Chuppah arrangement and the bouquets. It was just what we wanted. She also incorporated some of my wedding hat into bride's and MOH's (both my daughters) bouquets. April was wonderful if a little slow to respond to e-mail due to tremendously busy wedding season. Price was also very reasonable. Just a magnificent job all around. I recommend Wildflower Weddings without reservation. -

April was great to work with from the initial consultation to the wedding day. I didn't come in to the consultation with a perfect vision of what I wanted, but after telling April about my theme and showing her my Pinterest wedding board, she used her creativity and came up with a beautiful vision for me, and I ran with it. I had some last minute changes and she was always so flexible and able to accommodate. The floral arrangements and centerpieces were so beautiful and everything I had dreamed them to be. I received so many compliments on my bouquet. April included "mauve" roses that were almost identical to the bridesmaid dress color - so amazing. I would highly recommend Wildflower Weddings at Bend in the River Farm! -

April did a great job and listening and giving me examples of what I was looking for and staying within the budget, no matter how big or small. She gives you a lot of value for your money. The day of, her assistant Danielle, came to set up and was very kind and waited around for the venue and other vendors to arrive and set up, so she could finish (and was more than happy to!). So glad we went with April and her beautiful and fresh flowers for our big day! -

April was very helpful in suggesting flowers that matched my colors and themes. She looked at my pinterest board to get an idea of what I wanted. She was also wonderful about sticking to our budget. We ordered bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages and a garland for the ceremony trellis. All looked absolutely beautiful! Highly recommend! -
