I can’t emphasize how happy Ben and I were with our wedding. We had a hiccup where the boat could not leave the dock for the event, but that did not change a thing. The service was amazing, the scenery, food, and staff! They went BEYOND the extra mile to make it special despite not leaving the dock. It was perfect and I would recommend them to everyone :)

Taylor’s falls scenic boat tour!

We chose to do everything on the boat! Our fall day turned into a snowing/raining mess! They accommodated us on everything! Julie was there for every need allowing us to bring hot beverages on boat to helping a kid with motion sickness! I would highly recommend them to anyone!

A Full-Service Venue with Lots of Assistance!

Amy Lynn and her team did everything from help the guests find where to go, to helping us to clean up so that we could go home. They were attentive - not only on the wedding day, but - all questions (leading up to it) were answered promptly. The staff was especially helpful!

Wonderful!

I’m so glad we decided to have our wedding on a river boat on the beautiful St Croix river! The scenery could not be beat and the originality of the venue is still a topic of conversation from family and friends. Working with Julie at Wild Mountain could not have been easier or more enjoyable.

Wonderful and Beautiful experience

Taylors Falls Boat Tours was the most amazing and easy venue to work with for our wedding day. The ease of booking, professionalism, and the simple beauty of the St. Croix River. Great value and all of our guest raved about the entire evening.

Amazing venue!

We had our wedding ceremony & reception at Wild Mountain! Our ceremony was held outside and our reception was in the Eagle's Nest! I cannot say enough good things about this venue! Simonne was our wedding coordinator and she was AMAZING!!! She was in contact with me about every detail and truly went above & beyond to make sure our day went smooth! We received many compliments on the food, we had the Italian Dinner, people absolutely loved the meatballs! The scenery was also beautiful for a fall wedding and the venue staff was so friendly and wonderful to work with! Thank you Wild Mountain!!

The crew aboard the Princess was very professional and accommodating. The scenery was breathtaking and the out of town guests were blown away. Thank you for making this a memorable Rehearsal dinner

All of my guests were blown away by the private boat and the beautiful views. Scenic is the perfect word to describe the boat cruise. It was romantic, calm and relaxing. The bar was fast & easy to get to. Julie was easy to work with and super responsive. I had multiple compliments from my guests thanking us for doing such a unique grooms dinner and I heard "This is the BEST grooms dinner I have ever been too! So unique!" We gave each of our guests two drink tickets to control the price and we had a fixed menu for dinner to also create a fixed cost for the evening. I loved the boat cruise idea because it created a very conversational yet private environment with incredible views. Everyone was able to mingle with one another vs being at several tables where you couldn't interact with other guests. I would do this all over again!!!

We absolutely loved how our wedding reception turned out! We had booked with Wild Mountain because we loved the venue and they gave an incredible military discount. They hired a new wedding coordinator after we already signed a contract, and we couldn't be anymore pleased with the service Erin provided. She was very helpful in providing answers to our questions and she really helped make the day run smoothly. She was extremely flexible and made sure it was everything WE wanted. The meal staff were excellent. We brought snacks to pass out later on and they took it on themselves and helped serve that as well as the cupcakes we brought. They really did make it all about us. We had served the roast beef from the Wild Mountain catering and we had many guests compliment the food! I would highly recommend Wild Mountain for your reception!

Julie with Taylors Falls Scenic Boat Tours and Wild Mountain was AWESOME! My ( now husband! :^D ) and I knew we wanted to get married in the St. Croix River area during fall time. Julie was extremely prompt in following up with us and answered our questions before we even knew what to ask when we initially contacted her this past spring. When our original reception venue fell through at another location, Julie absolutely saved our wedding day and we were able to book the Bear's Den at Wild Mountain! We lucked out on a perfect fall day, and everyone aboard the Queen paddleboat during our ceremony had such a great time and remarked on what a unique wedding idea it was and how beautiful the scenery was. Julie and the entire staff were so professional and attended to our's and our guests' needs very quickly. The same went for the reception at Wild Mountain. Again, the staff was amazing. Everytime we turned around, Julie was on top of whatever needed to be done. We can't reccommend Julie, Wild Mountain or the Taylor's Falls staff and location enough for a wedding!! We were so happy with the locations, staff, food and value for everything involved. We are so happy that we chose Wild Mountain/Taylors Falls Paddleboats dor our wedding day. Bonus points for the free passes down the alpine slide the next day during take-down of the reception hall. ;^D Thank you so much Julie and crew!!

My event coordinator Jenny Diedrich was phenomenal! She walked me through every step of the way, helping me plan then faciitate my wedding day. Jenny was fun, offered me her experience and wisdom, helped me personalize my wedding with just about anything I wanted, and made sure I was doing what I needed to be doing from start to finish. The captain and crew were so gracious and hospitable, the food was delicious, and my guests were well taken care of. My husband and I are so glad we chose Wild Mountain for our wedding and reception, and our guests will long remember being a part of our important day. :-)

If you're looking for a rustic setting for a wedding, this is the place to have it! The room was spacious, bright, clean, and full of north woods charm. Everyone loved it! Erin was so accommodating and gracious!

The Wild Mountain wedding venue could not have been more perfect for our outdoor-loving daughter and spouse, who met in Alaska. Erin, the coordinator, was so extremely helpful, patient, flexible, and such a calming influence on all of us, we wanted to adopt her by the end of the weekend. She made it possible for every one of us, old and young, relative and friend, travelers and locals, to enjoy the day to the max. The food was beautifully presented and served and tasted fantastic. Kudos to the chef and staff. All the employees at Wild Mountain played a role in making this the perfect day. They never stop smiling, answering questions, or pitching in. We can not thank all of them enough and would recommend Wild Mountain employees and their venue to anyone who wants the perfect day!

Wild Mountain was an amazing venue for our Halloween wedding. Julie was amazing to work with. She was very accommodating to family asking a million questions and coming in to look at the site for decorating purposes, and during the reception she was always visible working with staff and fielding questions to ensure everything was perfect. The wait staff were also great as they dressed up in zombie face paint to fit with the theme. Great place!

Julie and her team did a fabulous job. They were able to accommodate some last minute changes without any problem, and Julie made everything very easy for us.

All of our guests said the food was great, the view from the boat was great, and the service was great too!

We would highly recommend this to any couple looking for a special wedding.

My husband and I just had our reception here and couldn't be happier with how everything turned out. The staff was great! Our wedding coordinator helped me every step of the way. It is a great place if you are looking for a rustic wedding feel. They do in house catering which made it really easy to figure out food and the food was wonderful!

This is a great venue for a wedding reception! Everything went very smoothly with the help of Monique, she was ready and willing to help in any way that she possibly could. Any little details or questions that required immediate attention, she was on the ball. The night of my wedding was perfect, the Wild Mountain staff even started clearing tables off before the night was over. They have a security officer on deck during the event, They are Extremely flexible, more than I thought it would turn out to be with the food. They also have kids meals that all the kids loved! and they are less expensive as well . I love this place! I highly recommend them for any wedding party or big event.

We had our rehearsal dinner, ceremony and reception with Wild Mountain. We had our rehearsal dinner with Taylors Falls Paddleboat and the service was fantastic. We enjoyed a 2 hour cruise on the St. Croix with all of our close family and friends. The roast beef was delicious and they truly went out of their way to help us make the experience unique to our needs :)
The ceremony was done outdoors at Wild Mountain. They have a facility crew to set up the chairs in the grassy field and they allowed us to use a beautiful arbor too! (They also have a covered area outside and an indoor back up location as well! We didn't have to worry about anything!!) The reception was great in the chalet and we had a great meal catered by Wild Mountain. Erin M., our venue coordinator through Wild Mountain, was a great help during the planning months and was even there the entire day of the wedding :) I would highly recommend Wild Mountain for a wedding venue!!!

Jenny was absolutely amazing to me and my husband! We started planning 18 months in advance. She meet with us several times in person at both locations. She made our special day even more amazing than we thought could be. We are planning on our 1 year anniversary to spend with her again on the boat we got married on! We will never be able to thank her enough for taking such amazing care of us! Jenny thank you for everything, and helping us make an special day perfect for us. Jenny at Wild Mountain did an amazing job coordinating our daughter's wedding on the Taylors Falls Princess paddle boat! It was truly a night to remember. Her positive attitude, attention to details and support all along the way were very appreciated. The captain and the rest of the staff were great as well. Our wedding at Wild Mountain was absolutely beautiful. We were able to spend the day before our wedding decorating, and that was very nice! The catered food was delicious - for the rehearsal dinner we had lasagna, and for the wedding we had chicken kiev. I would highly recommend both! We honestly couldn't have asked for a more perfect day.

Monique was absolutely fabulous! Words can't describe how awesome she and the staff at wild mountain were. They were spot on for everything. Even when I forgot some of the simple things like the ceremony procession and even the officiant. Monique had great advice and insight. Dean was just as amazing!!we lobed our food and our guests have been calling and telling me how fabulous it was. My husband and I are excited to go on a boat tour to have more of his cooking!!!!

We were worried about it at first after going through 3-4 wedding coordinators. But after meeting up with our final coordinator for our wedding, she was great to work with. Very flexible and organized during the planning process. We changed our minds on our dinner choice less than the recommended time which they were very supportive of our decision why. I would recommend using this venue for future events. Loved the natural beauty of decor they had provided within the location of our reception area. Erin was very helpful in answering any questions we had. She also, went out of her way to help decorate with us! Thank you Wild Mountain for making our day one to remember!

Our Wedding was absolutely amazing, thanks to ALL of the help from Monique and Dean, and their amazing staff that they have there!! We were suppose to have an amazing mountain top ceremony, and unfortunately because of mother nature, we ended up moving our once in a life time ceremony to plan C!! Yes, plan C!! Cause plan B was also being taking over by mother nature!! They truly pulled through for us, still making it an amazing and once in a life time event, and we can not thank them enough!! Dean exceed our expectations with the food that was served during our reception even adding in a special surprise for us, and Monique went above and beyond to make sure that all of our wishes and dreams came to life for our once in a lifetime event!! Would recommend this venue to anyone who is looking to make their special day truly amazing!! Thanks to all the staff at wild mountain!!

Our wedding went flawless. Jenny did a great job coordinating our wedding and working with us. All the tables and chairs were set exactly as planned. The staff was very friendly and professional. I would highly recommend this unique wedding venue. How many people get married on a river boat? The scenery for our wedding photos prior to getting on the boat were amazing.

Our guest list was 100 people which fit perfectly on the boat.

We worked with Jenny for our wedding and she was a true delight! Jenny was able to answer all of our questions with a quick turn around, she always seemed to be available when I needed her. This is very helpful because planning a wedding is stressful and everyone is asking you questions all of the time, so to be able to find the answer very quickly was a gift. Jenny could accommodate everything that we asked of her.
Jenny was very kind and very excited about our big day. It made us feel special! I would definitely recommend her.

Service was excellent. Staff tended to guests with respect and friendliness. Food was outstanding. Julie tended to bride and was very helpful. I started working with Sara and then worked with Claudia. I was concerned at first, but the transition was smooth. Everyone was super helpful, very fast to respond, and tried to accommodate every request I had. I would recommend Wild Mountain to anyone with an upcoming wedding event.

Our wedding reception was amazing at Wild Mountain. From the start of the planning process to the night of the reception, we could not have asked for a better experience. The staff at Wild Mountain is top notch. From the head chef to the servers, all of my guests were taken very good care of. The wedding coordinator was extremely helpful as well, especially on the day of our wedding. In addition, the food options were also something that I was very happy with. There were so many affordable options, we were able to choose a menu that was just right for our guests. I owe my beautiful day to Wild Mountain. Choosing Wild Mountain for my reception was the best choice I could have made for my wedding day.

Our wedding experience on the Taylors Falls paddleboats was wonderful, everything went very smoothly and the Taylors Falls staff especially Julie was wonderful to work with. She was very helpful in making Dave and my self as well as our guests truly enjoy the day. A lot of people commented on how great the food was. We definitely recommend to our friends and family to consider the Taylor's Falls Paddle boats when making their wedding plans as a way to make their wedding day special.

Our experience with the Taylors Falls senic boats was absolutely hands down there best experience yet. We got married June 20, 2017 and it was perfect. Everything went smoothly but I do have to say the wine was terrible. Make sure you know what your ordering;)

I actually did not have my wedding on the boat, I was a guest. I wanted to write this review, because I own a floral company and do over 135 weddings each year and we are invited to a lot of weddings! This wedding was very nice, and so convenient for all the guests. We arrived, and the wedding took place on the middle level that was covered had it been raining. The wedding was short, but very sweet. The best part of the wedding was the food! My husband wanted me to mention that. We had roast beef, very, very tasty! Baked potato, vegetable medley and a Caesar salad.
The staff was very nice, and everything just seemed very organized.

Food was great. Julie was fantastic helping with the planning, very good at trying to fulfill all our requests. Captain Lee did a great job with the ceremony. Cook manager upset bride when she delivered cakes as arranged but Monique took care of the problem.

We had a mid May wedding on the Taylor's Falls Princess. Everything was amazing. Working with Julie was a breeze. She was very responsive and professional. The food was good, nothing special but everyone enjoyed it. If you're looking for a small intimate wedding with gorgeous scenery and a great group of people to work with, this place will not disappoint! Thank you for making our wedding day perfect!

The staff at Wild Mountain was a joy to work with! Very responsive and knowledgeable. If they were going to be unreachable for any amount of time at all, they were sure to let us know in advance.

The day of our event things went so smoothly (despite the crazy rain we got!) The staff was very flexible and willing to work with us even though we didn't have a minute-by-minute plan for the night.

The paddleboat was an amazeing location to have a wedding . Also the St.Croix river provided beautiful background pictures and scenery. Our guests simply thought it was perfect.

Our wedding was unique and beautiful. My only suggestion is that the boat company should install some mood lighting in the top of the boat. I think every evening ride would really benefit! !

Our paddle boat wedding was amazing! Jenny was so helpful from bringing to end. This is definitely a great choice for a unique wedding. Our guests had just as much fun as we did.

We had a wonderful wedding day at Wild Mountain. Monique was so helpful on the day of and leading up to the wedding. The food was delicious!! The chalet had the casual/rustic feel that we were looking for, and the outdoor pergola area was perfect for our ceremony-- although I will note that we did have one group of awful teenagers drive by and yell "don't do it, it's a trap" just as I was walking down the isle-- not the fault of Wild Mountain, but just something to consider with an outdoor ceremony at a space when there are still people around. Overall, it was a great venue and we LOVED it! I would suggest Wild Mountain to more relaxed couples :)
We also had our rehearsal dinner on the paddle boats-- it was a great and fun way to celebrate the day before with everyone! (Although I wouldn't suggest it if you get sea-sick).

Our wedding ceremony was held in the Taylors Falls interstate park and our reception was aboard the Taylors Falls Princess Riverboat. Everyone was impressed by the food (chicken and ribs), the scenery, and the uniqueness of the riverboat. Julie was very reliable through all of our emailing back and forth before the big day and even went as far to give me her personal line for when she was out of the office. We could not have picked a better place to celebrate our marriage. It was intimate without being cramped even at the maximum 120 headcount, the staff was very quick to help with any detail, and all of our guests had a great time. We had a bit of miscommunication in which I had told my guests we would dock early once to allow elderly and children off, which our captain was not aware of. Luckily him and Julie were able to dock somewhere else and arrange a bus to transport guests back to their cars. I am thankful it was handled so quickly and they were able to provide a solution. I only wish I had appointed someone such as my mother or MOH to handle any complications instead of it being brought to my attention seconds before mine and my husband's first dance. All in all, the night was fun, unique, and very personalized. Exactly what we wanted.

We had an excellent wedding at this location. It is a quirky, fun place to host a wedding. This isn't the place to go if you want a picture-perfect, everything fancy kind of wedding; the ceremony site was just OK, and the food was fine but nothing special. But Claudia and the staff were very accommodating with lots of last-minute adjustments and extra services that we hadn't originally requested. The value was excellent with us spending about $5000, and everything was spelled out clearly with no hidden sneaky fees. Overall we had a blast and they took excellent care of us for our fairly unusual wedding.

I would tell another couple to read the fine print as far as gratuity and taxes. I can understand the gratuity on the food, but the alcohol was very expensive. It was 3 times what you would pay for at a liquor store. Erin was very helpful with all of my questions and was very accessible. She was there from the moment we started decorating till the last call Saturday night. Erin was amazing!! She had suggestions, she was very personable. I can't thank her enough!

Julie was fantastic very easy to deal with and open to all of our needs/requests. Lee the officiant was pleasant and did a great job. Kitchen manager was rude and upsetting to Bride when she brought the cake in a day early as had been arranged, however Monique came to the rescue and smoothed things over. Van driver was apparently short with passengers initially. Room was warm but we never asked if air could be turned up. The room was set up great, staff very accommodating, food was very good.

Erin was very helpful, but when it came to food amount it was pricey. Not to mention alcohol price was outragous Although, I had no guest complain about the food and only heard positive feedback. When picking a DJ be sure to pick someone who is loud because it's a big area to get people's attention.

Would recommend. Service on the boat was amazing but you are very restricted to their low quality, overpriced food. Overall, the boat was clean and nice and the scenic tour of the river was beautiful and a wonderful setting for our wedding.

We enjoyed our event immensely. We had a destination wedding and planned a reception back in MN, and ultimately chose Wild Mountain due to their offering a military discount and having rides we could plan for our guests to enjoy.

My reasons for not giving a full 5-star review are:
We signed a contract with one coordinator and had lots of conversations about what we wanted. When I emailed to verify our deadlines for catering choices and final payments, I was informed our coordinator had been changed. While she was pleasant to work with, we were not informed that things had changed until I asked a question 2 months in advance of our event. Also, some of the things we'd been told previously were not honored, as they hadn't been noted by the coordinator.

During dinner, the meat ran out before all of our guests were served, and when asked about it, the catering manager told us he had seen people going back for seconds before all were dismissed... We had several people that were included in our final head count not show due to illness/other unforeseen circumstances, so to my mind that should be equal to the handful that wanted seconds.

Aside from that we enjoyed our day and would recommend this venue to others, with the caveat that you keep any agreements documented.
