We couldn’t be happier with our experience working with Wild Embers for both our engagement and wedding photos. Colleen and Amanda are not only incredibly talented photographers, but also just genuinely cool, kind people who made us feel completely at ease in front of the camera — no small feat for two people who don’t love being the center of attention!
Their artistic eye and attention to detail are phenomenal. The editing is gorgeous — a thoughtful blend of timeless black-and-whites and bold, vibrant color palettes. Our fall engagement session and colorful wedding each had very different vibes, and they nailed both. The photos pop in the best possible way, and honestly… we didn’t think we could look this good!
We’re based in Columbus and paid a bit extra to bring them in (hotel and travel), but even with that, the cost was still better than many other vendors we talked to — and absolutely worth every penny. They also made sure to capture the specific shots we asked for, which we really appreciated.
We can't recommend Wild Embers enough. We'll definitely be reaching out again for any future milestone moments — anniversaries, maybe even family shoots down the line. Just a fantastic experience all around. -

They are amazing!!!
Amanda and Colleen are so fun to work with! They have many years of experience with photography under their belts. They did my senior photos and the 10 years later, my engagement and wedding photos! It’s been such a pleasure to have them around for major life events. Their work is gorgeous and they also make every session fun so it’s never awkward! Definitely hire them. 🩷 -

Worth every penny!!
My husband and I are absolutely in love with our engagement and wedding photos. Colleen and Amanda were wonderful! My husband hates getting his photos taken and they made it fun and were able to get him to relax a little bit. They gave direction well and my family were so very impressed with them and their professionalism and their fun personalities. I highly recommend them…they are completely worth it!! -

Amazing wedding photos
They are absolute professionals. Wedding day photos were incredible and they were on their game the whole day. They're also very nice and fun! Whole day was a blast with them and they made everyone very comfortable in the posed photos. Highly recommend for any event you need to capture in high quality digital memories! -

Colleen and Amanda were so great to work with! They did both our engagement and wedding photos and they all turned out amazing. The attention to detail and the moments they captured were great. They helped us relax in front of the camera and had fun poses and things to try out. Absolutely loved working with them and so happy they were able to help capture our special day. -

These ladies are wonderful photographers! Colleen and Amanda made us feel really comfortable and have fun while taking both our engagement and wedding photos, which helped since both my husband or I are sorta awkward haha. They were amazing in person as well as sharing our album reveals and how they edit the photos so beautifully. I loved their photography style, which is why we hired them, but they're wonderful people too and I would definitely recommend hiring them for your wedding or any other photo shoots! -

Best Photography Experience!
The ladies of Rustic Light are the BEST! My fiancé & I had so much fun during our engagement session. Colleen & Amanda were great at making us feel comfortable right away because they were so friendly, made us laugh, & are obviously very good at what they do. We are in LOVE with our engagement photos & can't wait to have them again for our wedding day! -

The best!
Colleen and Amanda are the absolute best! Our engagement and wedding photos came out amazing and we still cannot stop looking at them. Prior to our engagement shoot, we’d never had professional photos taken but they made us feel so relaxed and guided us through the whole session. We were a little nervous about how our dog would react to them/the cameras but even she loved them. On our wedding day we felt totally comfortable and had a blast with them. We truly feel like they captured our personalities. They are also incredibly responsive and flexible. They gave us great recommendations on other vendors, helped us with the wedding day timeline, and had great suggestions for photo locations. We are so happy with our decision and highly recommend them! -

The 2 ladies of Rustic Light Photography captured our wedding day with photos more beautiful than I even thought possible. Colleen and Amanda developed a relationship with me and my now husband months before the wedding, it felt like friends were photographing us, which made us very comfortable and that showed in our expressions. Even the posed portrait pictures look like a real moment in time. I am so thankful to have had them as our photographers, but also as friends in our life because they are just that wonderful :) thank you Amanda and Colleen - your passion really shows through your work and I'm so grateful we met. I will treasure these incredible photos my whole life -

A lovely photography duo!
Amanda and Colleen are awesome! They showed up right on time the morning of the wedding and ready to rock! They actually kept ME on schedule! We had a few little detours throughout our day, and these girls had an answer for every single one of them. They are the two sweetest souls, you feel like you know them instantly, and their photography is GORGEOUS. When it came to picking locations for every different shot (first looks, family, bridal party, portraits) they picked beautiful places each time!! They are like magic, you won't regret the hire, I'd hire them all over again -

I absolutly love our engagement photos. Amanda and Colleen did such an amazing job! They made us feel so comfortable and we loved going on an adventure with them in the woods! I have literally looked at our photos a billion times and cannot wait for them to capture our big day! They were absolutely so patient with our fur baby who was in some of the photos. So far we've done our engagement photos and they turned out fantastic! Colleen and Amanda are great at getting us to laugh and they took some great candid shots! They are so fun to work with! They were also quick to get our photos back to us. We cannot wait to do our wedding photos next!
So far I think hiring Rustic Light Photography has been the best wedding decision we've made except to marry each other of course. -

Amanda and Colleen are so great to work with! They are both amazingly talented and capture the most beautiful moments! We got married at a unique venue and they were willing to meet us there before our wedding day to discuss what we wanted and make sure everything would be perfect the day of. Fun, professional
I love how these girls work. From the starting process to the end they are communicative and professional. They help you relax when nervous and I loved working with them and all our pictures! They can take charge and give good directions all while making you feel comfortable. They also have quick and creative eye. I highly recommend! -

Photography was the number one priority for me when I was planning my wedding because I knew the day would fly by in an instant, and I wanted to remember every moment.
Wild Embers Photography not only produced gorgeous images, but they produced A LOT of images - perfect for someone like me who wanted to remember every little detail. Amanda and Colleen were both so easy to work with, responsible, responsive, open to our ideas, and helped us troubleshoot through rough spots in the planning process. They made us laugh, taught us how to pose, and helped us genuinely enjoy our photo sessions for both our engagement and wedding photos.
They fulfilled every expectation and beyond - and when there are so many moving parts when it comes to planning a wedding, it was nice to not have to worry about photography :) -
