We were recommended Summer at Wicked Petunia by our wedding planner Rachael at Bad Boss Bride and it was the best decision ever!
From the first phone call to the last photo of the night - you can truly tell Summer loves what she does and is exceptional at it! She is so warm, fun and talented!
She takes took time out to make personalized videos explaining our specific packages, reviewing timelines, getting and giving feedback and also worked so in sync with our other vendors.
She truly took the time out to get to know us, our families, dynamic, vision and embraced that to capture things that were tailored to us. Summer even knew everyone by a first name basis from the moment she started the day!
My husband and I are more reserved and were worried about being awkward during photos but from the minute Summer came to the venue she felt like family.
She gives direction without making it feel like we are having photos taking, we felt like we were hanging out all night and just ended up with exceptional photos!
I don't have enough words to explain how great Summer is as a person, how amazing she made our experience and how incredible our photos are!
We are beyond thankful and HIGHLY recommend! -

Where to begin!? Summer is by far the most talented wedding photographer I’ve seen, and believe me when I say I researched far too many! After having a bad experience with a less skilled photographer for our engagement shoot, I knew I had to get this right and seriously invest in someone talented for our big day. Summer was the only answer, and I’ll be singing her praises until the end of time! We were blown away with just about every shot, and her ability to capture the magic of our day! Her photos speak for themselves– enough said. Not only is she talented, but she is such an incredible person and an absolute joy to work with. She was hands-on from the jump, and always made herself available to chat or text, and answered my every question. She is so well-organized and put together a thorough day-of timeline for us to follow, which was not only helpful for the wedding party and family, but to our venue and everyone involved. She took all of my shot ideas and made them happen in addition to putting her unique spin on things– you’ll definitely get more than your typical blah wedding shots from Summer! I’m still in shock by how Summer along with her assistant Julia effortlessly controlled our hectic wedding party with ease– we had quite the cast of characters! I did a fake first look with my husband that I plotted with Summer in advance (had one of his groomsmen in a dress tap him on the shoulder instead of me!), and it will forever be the talk of the town! My husband is still in shock and hysterically laughing, and claims Summer’s assistant was the one that really sold it– I don’t know how she kept a straight face seeing a hairy man in a white dress! Summer and her assistant fit right in and instantly felt like family. I loved how they made us feel so comfortable– it really made the experience fun and enjoyable for all involved! We are now left with thousands of stunning photos that we’ll cherish for many years to come– we are still in awe! We’re so happy we chose Summer and will be recommending her to everyone. Yes, the answer is yes, you've found your photographer. I cannot explain how wonderful Summer truly is. You NEED her for your entire wedding experience. Her communication is impeccable and she sincerely cares about each and every one of her couples. If I had a question about how my makeup would photograph, Summer answered. If I had a question about how my tan line would look, Summer answered She invited me to share my hair trial, dress, jewelry...everything because she was that invested in our day. She has the kindest heart, is a complete sweetheart, and became my wedding planning fairy godmother. She's real and tells you exactly how it is , which I so appreciated and sometimes needed. On our wedding day, she directed everyone perfectly and was even able to wrangle some of our rowdy groomsmen! When we had some minor hiccups, she rolled with it.
Her work is absolutely breathtaking. Our photos are stunning, classic, and timeless. I am completely obsessed with them. When I came across her instagram page I immediately knew I needed her, and called her to see if she was available for a potential time frame, even before I had a date booked! Summer was the best decision we made for our wedding and I would choose her over and over again if I could. THANK YOU for everything Summer. You are truly an artist! -

Summer did the most amazing job capturing our wedding day and was a trooper with our 40 degree cold and rainy day in May! She made everyone feel as comfortable as possible and you would never be able to tell it was such a cold day!
From the initial booking to the days leading up to our wedding she was on it! Walking through our contract and timeline with us and making sure all our questions and needs were addressed. I could call or text her at any point with a question and she was on it!
Throughout the day she kept everyone on track and was so fun to work with. All our family photos and portraits went by in a flash and we were actually able to enjoy our cocktail hour!
A huge thing for me was getting a sneak peek and we had well over 30 photos within a couple of days! Amazing! When our full gallery was ready she walked us through all the details as well as recommendations for storing the photos.
We cannot recommend Summer enough!! Not only is she a talented photographer, she's someone you can truly rely on during your special day! -

Summer was phenomenal, she flew to Florida for our wedding which was on her birthday! We were unorganized and trying to get everything together ourselves. She took control, helped keep the day going smooth and made sure we got all the shots we wanted as well as some amazing candids. The weather was spotty with rain and we were on the beach so we had to fit in our photos where we could. She made herself available and we went out to the beach three separate times for our photos. She really made our wedding day extra special, we wouldn't have wanted anyone else. 10/10 would recommend and we will definitely be using her again for future events! -

She's THE best!!
We moved to Florida a few years ago and were planning our wedding in NY. We had booked Summer for our Oct 16th 2020 wedding. With covid we were forced to cancel our wedding. We were so upset that we could potentially lose her as our photographer due to these unfortunate circumstances. My husband and I knew we wanted her to be apart of our wedding day. She is very pleasant, bubbly and energetic. She's genuine and understanding and had been so helpful throughout our planning process. She told us not to worry and she would do everything she could to be available for a new date when we found a new venue. We were in limbo for about 4 weeks until we set a date. Unfortunately, the new venue was located in Florida (where we currently live). We spoke with Summer and to our surprise she agreed to still be apart of our wedding. We worked out logistics and on 11/21/20 we had our amazing wedding! We cannot recommend Summer enough for anyone looking for not only a talented photographer, but for someone you can truly rely on during one of the most important days of your life. -

Couldn’t be happier!
We were so happy to have found Summer and had her as our wedding photographer. Having originally been a June 2020 wedding but postponing to August 2020 due to COVID, Summer was so helpful and flexible with our ever changing plans. She kept us sane during the planning process when all felt lost!
Throughout the wedding day, Summer was fun, assertive & amazing. Each photo felt natural and once we saw our collection... wow. We couldn’t be happier!! Summer captured all of the moments, big and small, that we will treasure for a lifetime! We are so grateful for her hard work and pure talent! Thank you for everything! -

We are so, so glad that we found Summer. From our very first email exchange we knew that she would be a great person to work with. She has been very professional but also very enthusiastic, and her love of weddings and of helping people was clear from the start.
Summer was incredibly helpful with planning the details of our wedding day. We had a super tight schedule dictated by an early sunset; it took a great deal of forethought and careful management to pull off, and she handled it all skillfully. We had a ton of questions and concerns over the course of the year of planning and she always responded to us quickly and in great detail. She had a wealth of professional advice for us but also made sure to take our preferences and wishes into account.
Having Summer there as part of our wedding day was also a lot of fun. She is super energetic and she helped make our cold November outdoor photos easy and full of laughter. Her second shooter Barbara was also a welcome and caring presence on our day.
The photos that we have seen so far are absolutely beautiful and we know the full collection will be too. Summer did our engagement photos earlier this year and those also turned out wonderfully. We were on the fence about even doing an engagement session, but we are really glad that we had a chance to meet her in person ahead of time and get out some of the nerves around being photographed.
Lastly but perhaps most importantly, my now-husband and I really feel like we gained a friend in Summer throughout this whole process. It was wonderful to get to know her through emails and phone calls, and then on our wedding day having a familiar presence there to help us was a big relief. We can't thank her enough, truly. Hire her - you'll be glad you did!! xo -

Summer is seriously so much more than just a wedding photographer! From our first conversation over the phone I knew we would be in good hands with Summer. I absolutely love her style. It’s very romantic, personal, and her photos are so bright and pretty which is exactly what I was looking for. She goes above and beyond to ensure she gets to know the bride and groom as well as your different styles so she can incorporate that into your photos on your big day.
She made us feel so comfortable at our engagement shoot and we seriously had a blast shooting with her! She is so attentive, professional, and creative. We were blown away by our engagement photos, it made us even more excited for our wedding day! Our wedding was only a few weeks ago but from the photos we’ve gotten back so far we are truly amazed. Summer and her second shooter, Janine, did an AMAZING job! They made me look like a real life princess in these pictures! I’m so excited to receive the whole collection, I know it will be amazing based on all of her previous work. I highly recommend going with Wicked Petunia Photography for your wedding day or with any other special events in your life, she really goes unmatched and will ensure to capture all of your beautiful moments excellently! She captured so many details and shots that we didn't even think to ask for, and our pictures ended up more beautiful than we imagined. Summer has a great eye and was very easy to work with. She was very responsive and responded to all of your requests with a professional yet flexible attitude. We were surprised to see our pictures Posted on social media before having seen them ourselves them . We hadn’t read the contract closely enough to pay attention to all distribution details. Summer worked with us and we were overall happy with the results. We would recommend Summer and her team to any bride ; this lady delivers fast and delivers well!
