My husband and I were married at White Barn on Friday, August 26th and we could not have chosen a better place for our special day. From start to finish, Jan was helpful and very responsive. Guests were impressed with the beautiful location, the food, and the service. Photographs at this venue are fabulous, no matter the angle. While we had many personal touches, the barn requires very little decoration and is gorgeous on its own. There was also peace of mind knowing that if we needed to last-minute move the ceremony inside due to weather, it would be fine. White Barn is the best of both worlds--you have the charm of a "rustic barn" setting, with the ease of indoor plumbing and air conditioning. The catering at White Barn by Medure's Catering is fantastic. Pete Medure is also very responsive and extremely helpful throughout the planning process. His staff went above and beyond on our wedding day to make sure everything was just right. Thank you to everyone who helped make this day such a success!

Great venue

the venue was perfect. So grateful we got to have our ceremony outside at the gazebo but the inside is just as beautiful!! Having the room to get ready was so great to be able to relax there and not worry about getting there on time after being dressed and ready!

White Barn is the perfect wedding venue!

I am so happy we chose White Barn for our wedding venue! As soon as I looked through photos online, I knew it was where I wanted to get married. Jan and Cathy were very helpful through the entire process, and were even willing to help us reschedule from our original date due to covid. We had a wonderful tour when we were beginning our wedding planning, and we were also invited to come back to the venue additional times after that to get a better visual to make sure our day was exactly what we wanted. We received so many compliments from our guests as well, and I could not have been happier how our day turned out at our perfect venue.

Beautiful and Spacious

I booked the white barn for my wedding and I cannot express how grateful I am that I booked them. The venue was stunning and spacious. They made the whole process smooth and any questions I had they were quick to reply. My wedding turned out beautifully. I would highly recommend booking This space for any occasion especially weddings. I am so grateful for all they did for my wedding and I would highly recommend!

Easy to work with venue

White Barn

White Barn was the perfect venue! The barn has a beautiful balance of rustic and modern and would work in any season. Medure’s catering is incredible and will customize your menu to fit your needs. Jan and his team do a wonderful job and everything they’ve done to the barn has made it even better!

Best Wedding Venue EVER!

I cannot thank Jan and Cathy enough for everything they have done for my husband and I! We were so worried about our wedding this year with the pandemic and they made everything so easy for us!! They were very quick to call and email me any time I had a question and made the planning process a breeze! Anytime anyone asks where they should get married, I will ALWAYS tell them to go to The White Barn!

This place was the best of both worlds being outdoor/indoor!

White Barn was amazing! The grounds are gorgeous, the updated interior with the rustic barn shell really set the romantic/ rustic tone. Honestly didn’t need much decoration, between the wood work and the string logs along with the show stopping picture window overlooking the pond it was a show stopper! The owners are very nice, super helpful and accommodating! The perfect place for our fairytale wedding!

Best Day Ever!

My wedding at the White Barn was just AMAZING! Jan is wonderful to work with and the grounds themselves are just beautiful. All of my guests could not stop talking about how awesome this venue was. The staff at Medures catering were fantastic! Everyone was taken care of and had a great time. If you are looking for a all in one place for your wedding this is it! It was the BEST DAY EVER!

Absolutely perfect

White Barn was a perfect venue!!! Jan and Cathy are great to work with and make what can be a pretty stressful process so easy. The venue is stunning (inside and outside) and our guests could not stop commenting about how beautiful everything is. Luckily the rain held off for our outdoor ceremony, but a huge perk was the ability to quickly move the ceremony inside to the barn if needed. The price is also quite reasonable for all that you get! 10/10 recommend White Barn to everyone!

There are so many things I can say about this breathtaking venue . It is absolutely gorgeous everyone kept complimenting us about it . My Daughter Alexis saw pictures of the barn when she was in high school but we didn't think it would be available but thank god it was. Jan is great to work with and is very quick to respond to any questions that I had. She had a ceremony outside at the gazebo .Not only are the grounds beautiful the inside is very large and spacious . If you want amazing pictures there is a stunning sunset there as well. I would say that this venue is by far the best barn style wedding you could as for . Thanks so much for making this the most perfect wedding day for them !

We has the most beautiful wedding on June 16 2017 at White Barn. Jan made sure everything was how we wanted it. The exclusive caterer made the best wedding dinner I'd ever had. Our guests have still not stopped talking about how perfect everything was!

We absolutely ADORED the White Barn!! The owner said were always extremely quick to respond to my numerous questions and concerns. The staff that was working through their caterer day of the wedding was also fantastic. As for the venue, I don’t think I could have asked for a prettier or more functional site. Although not the easiest for guests to find on their own, everyone arrives on time with the help of a few extra signs my helpers put out. It was suddenly raining the morning of my wedding and they quickly arranged for the ceremony to be indoors. Can’t rave enough about our experience there.

Not only is The White Barn a Beautiful location, the owners and caterer (Medure's catering) are exceptional! They are accommodating and professional and are easy going (and graciously tolerated almost daily phone calls and emails the month before our wedding!). Unlike other venues, they do not "nickel and dime" you to death and have many amenities included in the venue or catering price. At first I was concerned that they require the use of a specific caterer, but I am so glad they do. Medure's is delicious, very professional, and extremely familiar with the venue. And because they work together so frequently, it made many of the decisions easier and more streamline. Since our wedding, our guests cannot stop talking about the venue and food. I would rate them higher than a 5 if I could; particularly for value and flexibility!

Our day was perfect! The owner of the barn Jan, allowed us to get ready on the property. If was so nice being able to be have my bridesmaids all in one location and not have to figure out logistics of rides and bags! We were able to bring our own decor! This was also awesome! Although The White Barn is beautiful without any decorations, we added some small touches to make it our own! Our ceremony was held outside near the new pergola! The back drop was amazing! After the ceremony the guests headed up to the lower level of the barn for cocktail hour! The bridal party took AMAZING pictures on the property (so many gorgeous acres)! The barn had a beautiful scenery both during the day and at night! It made for amazing pictures! Jan was easy to talk to and easy to get into contact with! The White Barn was truly the most perfect wedding ceremony and reception location! I am so pleased with everything from start to finish! Our day was perfect!

Jan and Cathy were so helpful from the get-go and they were quick to respond to any questions we had. The venue is gorgeous and the barn is fully insulated ( air conditioning and/or heating depending on the time of year). The barn held our 185 guests inside no problem; it wasn't crowded at all. Would definitely recommend!

My wife and I got had our ceremony and reception at the white barn. The staff were wonderful and were very accommodating to all of our requests. We had our ceremony outside, but the staff was prepared to move it inside at a moments notice if the weather did not cooperate. The venue itself is very beautiful, well-kept, modern, and private. You don't have to worry about loud cars or trucks people wondering by. The venue has an exclusive catering contract with Medure's catering in New Castle, PA. The food was AMAZING and everyone that attended complimented us on the best wedding food that they ever had! The beef was extremely tender, and probably the hit of the night. We highly recommend this venue and would not have had our wedding anywhere else!

Our daughter's wedding reception was held at the White Barn in Prospect, Pennsylvania. A great venue for any time of event. The location is convenient to interstate 79 and highway 422. The venue is perfectly maintained, comfortable and the design of the indoor and outdoor space is perfect. The White Barn is an ideal location for a wedding reception. I would highly recommend it to anyone. I cannot tell you how many positive comments that I have received since the reception on how great of a venue the White Barn was.

Loved everything about this venue. Modern enough for comfort (bathrooms are gorgeous, AC) but rustic enough for gorgeous pictures.

This venue was not only beautiful, but was a pleasure to work with. The owner is responsive, flexible and considerate of a bride and groom's needs and preferences. The place is so pretty, both inside and out. The only minor thing is that the men do not have a 'room' such as the bridal room. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a beautiful venue and a great experience. Jan is fantastic!

Jan at the White Barn was great to work with. Anyone i wanted to come out and see the place set up, it was never a problem. Actually there's nothing bad i would say about this venue. It was amazing and everything I dreamed it would be. Great food, beautiful, air conditioned barn, and one of the nicest people I have met. Outstanding! Highly recommend! You won't be disappointed!

White Barn was an amazing venue for our daughter's wedding. It was the perfect place for their wedding. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful and the "outside" area is just as beautiful and makes a great place for pictures. The layout of the barn is great in that people can move around in different areas comfortably. There is the downstairs area, the patio at ground level, the main floor area, the lofts, and the veranda in the back off the main floor. I would definitely recommend this venue to anyone who is looking for the "barn" type venue with access to inside and outside areas. The owner is great to work with and was very professional but yet very friendly. We loved everything about White Barn.

Jan and the Medures catering staff made our day amazing. It rained all morning the day of our wedding but with their effort and cooperation we pulled off an amazing outdoor ceremony. We received so many compliments about how beautiful the venue was and I highly recommend it to any bride and groom looking for a quiet, peaceful, and scenic setting for the most important day of their lives!

WOW! What a beautiful venue! Our guests absolutely loved the classy/rustic atmosphere, beautiful back deck, pond, and all the room to spread out! We loved everything about this place and were so sad to leave when it was over! I would love to go here again!

We were absolutely thrilled who our experience at White Barn. Jan was so helpful and accommodating throughout the entire process and allowed us to visit the venue several times. It is beautiful and the perfect setting for a country wedding but would work well for any theme. I would recommend White Barn to anyone planning an event.

We LOVED the White Barn! Our guests raved about it. It's just beautiful and out of the way (so you don't have to worry about noise or anything). And the man in charge of it is super professional and easy to work with. Definitely a unique and beautiful venue!

We had our ceremony inside the barn and that worked well - but I wouldn't do it with more than 140ish guests.

This venue is AWESOME! I can't say enough about how accommodating Jan McDonald is to work with. We brought in various vendors to help decorate the Barn and it looked beautiful! The food, catered by Medure's Catering was delicious and Pete Medure was great to work with as well. No wonder they are the White Barn's exclusive caterer! Our wedding planner, Shayne Souleret of Soiree by Souleret, was able to work easily with Jan and Pete to execute the overall décor and menu details. The beautiful surroundings of the White Barn property are magnificient!

We love love loved our wedding at the White Barn! It was so so perfect in every way. Jan was a joy to work with, so flexible, & attentive. Our rustic vintage decor was the perfect setting for this amazing facility. The photos that our family & friends caught from above the lofts are simply divine. We put about 225 people in the barn & this was the perfect size. The divided cocktail room downstairs kept our guests busy in between our ceremony and our reception. The bridal room was large and gave our wedding party a great moment to relax & be comfortable in between. Having multiple places to hang out including the front and back of the barn was awesome. Our guests mingled and danced! It was amazing! Having our ceremony outside by the pond was exactly what Nick & I had wanted and I couldn't have dreamed it up in any other way. Thank you to the WHITE BARN & to Jan! You guys are wonderful!

After visiting 20+ venues and coming home crying that I would never find what I was looking for... I came to learn about the White Barn from another bride. So the next day I called and we went for a tour. At this point the White Barn was not even finished yet but as soon as I walked through the doors I was sold! It was exactly what I was looking for a venue that provided a nice amount of rustic but was clean, new and a little modern. The one of the main things that sold me on the Barn was its space! Many barns in western pa cannot accommodate 200 guests unless you want to sit half your guests on a lower floor, outside or on a covered patio? I was appalled by all of these options because I felt it extremely rude to even think of having even one of my guests where they could not see me! With the white barn we were able to seat all of guests on the main floor with us! Another great thing about the White Barn is that they have bathrooms on both levels of the barn so nice for guests! They also have a private Bridal Suite in the basement, it is nice, clean, large (I had about 12 people in the room with me before and it was not cramped at all!) and has a private bathroom! Medure's Catering is the exclusive caterer for the White Barn, I can tell you that one of the main things I have heard from our wedding is that the food was the best wedding food many of our guests had ever had! Also Jan(the owner) was very helpful and understanding with everything - every time I was at the barn, he came up to ensure I did not need anything! He takes pride in ensuring your day is what you want it to be!!! Thank you so much for providing such a lovely venue and being so thoughtful and professional!

Everything for our daughters wedding was perfect with the exception of the weather. Our DJ Jamie from Houserockers took care of that with surprising the bride with a snow machine. He is the greatest!! The barn was beautiful and well cared for. Medura Catering and staff were extremely professional and the food was hot and perfect. We received raves over the stuffed grouper. Our day of planner Alexis made the day go like clock work. Jan was wonderful to work with and allowed us many trips to the barn prior to the wedding to measure and relook at things over and over again. Thank you Jan.

This venue was everything we wanted and more. Jan and Cathy are an absolute breeze to work with and the venue itself it gorgeous. I highly recommend this venue for a rustic but elegant reception you won’t be disappointed if you do! Thank you for making our day beyond perfect!

Jan at the White Barn was absolutely fantastic to work with. I fell in love with the White Barn and its rustic, yet elegant charm when I found it online. My husband is very much a country kind of guy, so this venue was perfect. We went for a tour and were initially put on the wait list for the day that we wanted and it all worked out in the end! The day was so perfect with the sun setting and creating a beautiful scenery on the back deck of the White Barn. All of our guests raved about how perfect the venue was and how beautiful everything was. I would definitely recommend the White Barn as a wedding venue to anyone. And it has air conditioning!

Daughters wedding

We had our daughter wedding at the White Barn. Everything was beautiful. It was the 4th of July weekend we even had fireworks!! Our guests loved it!! The food was amazing and the staff was very accommodating. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Beautiful venue

Gorgeous Barn

The owners are very nice and accommodating. They let my family and I come in the week before while they were cleaning to check out the space again, so I could get a better idea of how we wanted to set things up. They are responsive more through text messages than email. Setting up was simple and the barn was clean from the previous event from the night before, so we did not have to worry about extra cleaning.

The Barn was beautiful. Jan was quick with responding to me if I called or texted him, took a while to get back to me if I emailed. They had an event the night before my wedding, but made sure that there was time for me to have my rehearsal.

This place met and exceeded all of our expectations. We wanted a rustic barn with a place to hold an outside ceremony. This place met both.

Our wedding on 5/30/15 at the white barn was perfect! All of the staff at the barn (working for Medures catering) were amazing and helpful. The food was fantastic all of my guests kept commenting on how amazing the food was.- The venue is so pretty and all of our decorations looked awesome. If you are crafty or want to do a lot of your own decorating this is the place for you! If not I would not recommend this venue. You have to decorate on your own everything except the tables and what the caters set up (tables, bar, buffet, and cookie table is done by caters). Due to booking a year in advance at this point you have to decorate for your wedding on the morning of because there are weddings every Friday night. We had a team of extended family decorate for us and they were allowed in at 7am. Jan was great being flexible and having it open that early for them to get in so everything could get done. Jan was great when we were planning and asking questions. It really was the perfect location for our reception and I couldn't be happier. -The Holts

The White Barn was my first choice and venue that I just had to have for our wedding day! I was looking for a venue that was classy, lots of natural wood, and had it's own interesting details so that I did not have to decorate it up like you would with a hall. The venue is privately located and has gorgeous scenery! They exclusively pair with Medure's catering from New Castle. The food was absolutely amazing. They allowed us to stop by any time during the week to plan decorating ideas or stop in just to look at it. The only thing that I did not like was that they book weddings on Fridays and Sundays. So if you book yours on a Saturday you can not get into the venue the night before to decorate and set up. I am a type A personality and my wedding was DIY so needless to say it was a very stressful morning for me to have my friends and family head out to decorate the venue. They had to call with questions and it made my morning chaotic. My suggestion is to hire a wedding planner/decorator or just plan on not being able to decorate beforehand yourself. Overall, I would definitely have another event here and suggest it to others who appreciate a simple yet gorgeous venue!

Perfect Venue

White Barn was the perfect venue for my husband and I. It's a great mix of the formal wedding feel but still rustic and relaxed. It is such a beautiful setting. Jan and Cathy are great to work with. They answered any of our questions and were always willing to let us come out and see the barn, take measurements, etc. Jan is on site the morning of to make sure everything is set up and perfect for your needs. The bridal suite they have is wonderful and had plenty of room for me and my girls to get ready. You pretty much have to set up and take down the day of your event, so you have to be organized and factor that in, but as long as you have a plan and some help it's pretty easy. We wanted a barn big enough for our wedding and also that was air conditioned. The air conditioning worked well in July heat and we were easily able to hold over 200 people. The gazebo on the lake and the rest of the grounds are wonderful backdrops for pictures. They have rain plans and everything in place in case you need to switch to a plan B, which was very reassuring to me. Overall, can't recommend White Barn enough!

If I had to do it all again I would do it here again in a heart beat. It was so beautiful and had a great atmosphere. We spent the day at the barn the day of the wedding and it was so nice to worry about going to different places. We had our ceremony down on the pond and it was the best. Jan and Pete are great and are very helpful and willing to do anything to help make the day special. The wait staff was great and fun, only had one problem with one of the bar tenders. She asked for more tip money at the end of the night which I think is rude since it is included in the bill and the guest tipped as well. Over all it was a great time and a beautiful place.

We visited the White Barn after visiting many other venues and we are so excited for our wedding there next October. I've heard nothing but good things about the venue and it has just the right about of rustic charm and elegance. The cost is very reasonable (especially in comparison to other barn venues in the area). It's also in a great spot with easy access to route 422 and there are a few hotels close by in Butler. Jan was helpful in answering all my questions... there were a few times so far that he was hard to get a hold of but it was the heart of wedding season at the time. Can't wait for the wedding next fall!

Owner gave tours during our wedding

The White Barn is a beautiful venue. I would have recommend this venue to others except for the inappropriate behavior of the owner on our wedding day. Because of this, I will not recommend this venue to ANYONE. Jan (owner of white barn) was giving tours to prospective couples 1-3 hours before our wedding. We were getting ready in the bridal suite and setting up for the wedding in our PJs while he gave 3 tours to strangers. After the 1st tour we asked if he could stop as we were trying to get ready. He said sorry and continued to show the property to 2 other couples and their families. We continued to ask him to stop which he didn’t. One of the couples he was showing had small children who broke one of our decorations. Our photographer/videographer were trying to get photos of the reception before guests arrived but Jan was showing the venue and couldn’t get photos of the empty venue. Jan also showed the air bnb property (we rented it from Friday-sunday) on his tours while the men were getting ready. Jan opened the door of the bridal suite (without knocking) to show his guest the bridal suite WHILE WE WERE GETTING DRESSED! Children were getting dressed while strangers entered the room for their tour. This was extremely inappropriate and should not happen while the venue / air bnb is being rented out.
