Our wedding day was amazing and could not have gone better. When I showed up to set up the morning of, the weather had turned cold but the staff on site was quick to jump in and assist with heaters to get the temp up well before guests were to arrive that afternoon. Whippoorwill was great with answering questions and assisting with table & set up. We had reached out to many chair vendors but Whippoorwill acquired chairs that they would then rent out as well which made using them as our chair vendor such a seamless process. The Chairs were perfect for the setting. The many decorations that the venue has to offer paired perfectly with the setup we were looking for. From the open barn, beautiful ceremony space to the huge pasture that the kids were able to run and play in during the reception we could not have picked a better venue for our wedding. I would highly recommend Whippoorwill Hill for anyone looking to tie the knot.

Amazing Venue and service
Whippoorwill Hill was the perfect venue for our special day! Anne and her team were fantastic to work with and everything was a dream. They made everything so easy and fun. All the decor that they have available to use is a game changer! We ended up changing plans day of for our centerpieces and it was an easy flip because of all that they had for us to use! Amazing Venue!
WOW we could not be happier with our experience at Whippoorwill Hill. Anne’s communication was unmatched & she was super helpful throughout the entire process!! No matter how random our questions were, she was always willing to help & give advice! We are so thankful for Whippoorwill and the venue itself is breathtaking! The venue is not only the best in the area but also the most reasonably priced! We were able to do everything we wanted to without breaking our budget. The venue is flexible and does not have strict requirements on vendors which was super helpful and allowed us to make our wedding what we wanted it to be with who we wanted it to be. Our day could not have been more perfect and we could not recommend more highly Whippoorwill Hill!

AMAZING VENUE! Married on 9/27/25
Whippoorwill Hill is an absolutely gorgeous venue. My now husband and I (married 9/27/25) picked Whippoorwill because they allowed us to use any vendors we wanted and to do anything we wanted to make our day our own. Anne was also the sweetest, kindest human to work with! We will forever return to Whippoorwill to photograph any anniversaries and celebrate any life memories on their open barn days. Couldn't recommend this venue more.

Wonderful Wedding Venue
We visited numerous venues before we found Whippoorwill Hill in Bloomington Indiana. We knew immediately it was what we were looking for! It is a beautiful facility with owners and staff focused on helping the customers experience the ideal event. Our daughter just had her wedding and reception on site, and it was everything she dreamed of. The staff went above and beyond to make it wonderful and stress free for the bride and groom and their families. We would highly recommend for couples to visit Whippoorwill Hill, they won’t be disappointed.

Wedding Ceremony & Reception
My husband and I booked Whippoorwill Hill for our wedding and reception in late June. We loved working with Anne and her team! They were professional and responsive from our initial tour through our event date. Our guests loved the barn, its history, and the surrounding farm (especially at sunset). Children and adults alike also loved the lawn games! And the Tatum cottage provided a beautiful space not only for my hair and make-up, but also for our first look. We are so happy that we booked Whippoorwill Hill and highly recommend both the venue and the team.

Great experience!
My husband and I got married this summer at Whippoorwill Hill and we are so glad we chose this venue! From the free farm fresh eggs we recieved at our first tour, the thorough and detailed communication from the Whippoorwill team throughout our planning process, and all the decor they provide - we were blown away by how great this venue was and how much bang you get for your buck! The property is stunning and so well cared for and our guests commented all evening about what a beautiful place it was! My fiance and I were so grateful to find a venue that not only has a fair price but also allowed the freedom to choose the vendors that fit our budget! The only downside is the lack of AC in the main barn area - we got married on July 4th in the high 80s and it was definetely hot! But I think that is to be expected for a outdoor barn wedding so that factor doesn't take away from the overall great expereince of Whippoorwill Hill! The air-conditioned bathrooms and kitchen were a great respite from the heat and our Venue Coordinator for the day came prepared with little fans that our bridal party passed around which was a very well-thoughtout touch. Every member of the Whippoorwill team I interacted with was fantastic and so helpful! Such a gem of a venue!

Incredible Venue!
Whippoorwill Hill was absolutely incredible for our big day! From the moment we booked the venue over a year ago, they have helped us step by step throughout the entire process to ensure that everything was exactly what we wanted. They were extremely easy to work with and very responsive, as well as they were very understanding. The fall weather ended up putting the venue just over the top, and my wife and I couldn't have been any happier. Highly recommend for anyone looking to have a beautiful event, with low to no hassle!

Such a beautiful venue. The place is so gorgeous that you only have to do minimal decorations. Our guests were so impressed! Thanks for all you and your staff's help and for making it a very special day. The venue's owner was very responsive and accommodating, the whole team was really, to special requests. I had my wedding at Whippoorwill Hill on September 14, 2024. Everything was absolutely perfect. This venue is stunning and really only needs minimal décor as it is already beautiful by itself. I had roughly 230 people attend and the venue was able to hold this capacity no problem! The venues team was beyond helping before, during, and after my wedding. We rented the venue the day before as well and the staff was on time to let us in and was there to help and answer any questions we had. Upon arrival to the venue, the team had already set up all the tables and chairs for me according to the floor plan I had provided them. They were also there for the duration of my wedding and helped with anything we needed. We also hired them after the event to clean up which was a life saver. Overall. I couldn't recommend this venue enough! With the help from the staff and the beauty of this venue, my wedding was everything I had ever dreamed it would be!

She was very flexible and even allowed us to visit the barn outside of the open barn hours! Most of the day of staff were wonderful to work with on our wedding day! A fairytale come true!
We had the best wedding of our dreams! Everyone raved about how the venue didn’t even need decorations because it just shown on its own. Even now after the wedding we get the compliment of how beautiful everything was and even a few “perfects” were thrown around!!! I would recommend this venue to every one of my friends!
Not to mention Joy our bartender who also works for the venue was such a “joy”! She handled every question we threw at her and also kept all the drinks moving!

Whippoorwill Hill was the perfect venue for our Bloomington wedding! With blue skies in May, we were able to open the barn doors for the perfect indoor/outdoor event space we wanted. WH had amazing decorations to add rustic charm to our tables, and great add-ons (photobooth and ceremony chairs were my personal favorite). I cannot recommend Whippoorwill enough for your big day!

Incredible venue
My husband and I had a wedding event this May. The venue was fantastic. It exceeded all of my expectations. Anne and all of the staff are professional and helpful. Anne helped with my many questions leading up to the event. Many guests commented on how much they loved our venue. The barn is beyond gorgeous and honestly you don't even need excessive decorations as the venue is naturally so stunning.

The day (and planning experience) of our dreams
My Husband and I got married at Whippoorwill Hill three weeks ago, and we still can't get over what a wonderful experience it was. Anne and her team were so helpful, and the nine months between booking and our special day were filled with helpful connections, thoughtful emails, and all the excitement.
The value of booking an event at Whippoorwill Hill is phenomenal. The tables, decor closet, ability to rent chairs for inside and out, as well as the list of incredible vendors that they have used and vetted are so helpful. It was an easy experience planning a wedding here in less than a year!
Aside from all of that, we were grateful to not only find a venue that welcomed a queer wedding-but celebrated us. Anne helped us have the most joy-filled celebration of our dreams, and I'm grateful that a quick google search brought us to Whippoorwill Hill
Thanks to Anne and her team—we truly loved our day at your farm, and that beautiful green pasture will always have a special place in our hearts and story

Great experience
We had our wedding last Friday at whippoorwill Hill, the staff and owners are great! The venue is absolutely beautiful helping us save money on decor and we got so many compliments on how beautiful the barn and property were. We were going to elope with our family but decided to find a barn around us that was in our budget. Whippoorwills beauty and price point won us over, all Of our family and us traveled from out of town to have this barn as our venue. The communication, price, beauty, openness to do your own caterer bar etc and kindness were a big plus

Beautiful venue with amazing staff!
Whippoorwill Hill was our dream venue! The whole property was beautiful and the staff was incredible to work with. The weather was colder than we anticipated with strong wind, but the heaters were great and everything worked out perfectly. Anne was always quick to respond to emails and answer any questions we had. We will be recommending Whippoorwill to everyone we know!

Great Venue
We would definitely recommend having your wedding here, we loved having ours here! This venue is very beautiful and already so wonderful without needing extra decor. Anne is so great to work with as well. She made everything super easy and wonderful. I especially appreciated the transparency in cost. She puts all the info out there and doesn't try to sell you on a bunch of fluff. They have put a lot of work and heart into this venue and it shows. So thankful we found spot!

An Absolute Dream

Magical Venue!
Whippoorwill Hill is a beautiful venue. Anne is excellent at communication and also has attention to detail so that she makes sure you are happy on your wedding day. There are staff at the venue all day on your wedding day who are also incredibly helpful.

Whippoorwill Hill is more than I could’ve imagined it to be and the assistance you receive is out of this world!! They are there every step of the way to help with any and all questions you may have. The pergola makes the perfect addition for a ceremony spot being right out the back of the barn! Highly recommend looking at and booking for your wedding venue!!

Absolutely gorgeous, amazing venue!
Whippoorwill Hill is absolutely beautiful and has the most wonderful staff. Anne is extremely communicative and helpful and made sure things went as smoothly as possible for us. In addition, the staff day of were so amazing! Some of the perks I specifically enjoyed about this venue is how they provide a gigantic amount of decor that is included in the price of renting the venue. I also appreciated the "open barn" dates they offer so I could visit a second time to finish planning everything out! This venue also offers extra perks (for an additional charge) such as a PA system, golf cart, cleanup, etc. The one "drawback" to keep in mind with this venue is there is not a full bridal suite unless you rent the Airbnb they have on-site, but this did not negatively impact me at all as I easily planned around it (just something important to know for planning purposes). Overall, I genuinely could not have been happier with this venue and the staff and felt like everything was as close to perfect as possible!

Whippoorwill Hill is a stunning wedding venue that was absolutely perfect for our day. Anne and the staff are amazing and so helpful when it comes to planning! They have great advice and recommendations and do everything they can to make sure you have the wedding of your dreams. Their new pergola was a picture perfect place to get married but it was also comforting to know that they have beautiful back up ceremony options that are covered in case of extreme heat or rain. It truly was the most magical place to get married and we feel so grateful for everyone at Whippoorwill Hill!

The staff at Whippoorwill Hill are truly so helpful. Every time I reached out with a question they were very prompt on getting back to me. The venue was absolutely beautiful and is in a great location. Driving through cornfields on either side of you while you're heading to the venue was so cool. This venue truly help make my wedding a special day!

Beautiful venue with great staff
We loved getting married at this venue. The brand new pergola was absolutely gorgeous. We didn’t even need any decorations for the altar because it was beautiful on its own. My only critique is the lack of bridal suites. Figuring out getting ready pictures and coordinating where the groom/groomsmen and bride/bridesmaids would be at what time was pretty tricky, but it’s definitely doable! Other than that, this venue is perfect!

Having our wedding here was a no brainer. It is a stunning venue complete with a new pergola. They have different decorations and yard games you can use. Anne was always just a quick email away with any questions. I highly recommend this beautiful venue :)

Absolutely loved this venue from the minute we looked at it. Wedding day was perfect! Any concerns we had the owner, Anne really listened to it and followed up with us if need be! 100% would book again if needed for another occasion! She also gave so much great advice and helped if anything happened (not even related to her venue. My bartender quit last minute and she was able to help! Within 2 hours I had a solution)

Whippoorwill is THE place to get married at. The venue is breathtaking wether you want the "barn" vibe or not. You can have the ceremony inside, outside, or even covered outside. With my friends getting married soon they have all commented on the ease of having decorations on site and not spending $1000s on decorations to try and resell later on Facebook Marketplace. They have all you need and the venue barely even needs decorations. the natural beauty during the day and then the sparkle lights at night. The small things that you do not have to worry about that make your day easier and better. You will NOT regret booking this amazing venue.

I could go on and on about Whippoorwill Hill! From the minute we booked our wedding, Anne was such great help to us with anything we needed or any questions we had. The staff the day of the wedding helped saved the day due to the weather throwing our original ceremony plans off! Best Venue in Bloomington, IN
Whippoorwill on so many levels is such a great venue. We had our wedding there and Whippoorwill along with the staff just go above and beyond to make your event so special! We have a deeper connection to Whippoorwill thanks to great hospitality they provide.

Beautiful venue! Perfect for my wedding!
Michael and I's wedding day was absolutely PERFECT! All the guests were comfortable and loved the beautiful property. Everyone was so helpful in the process. Anne and the team are so great to work with. I can't say enough great things about the property and the staff! Our wedding day happened without anything going wrong. We used the outside overhang/patio and never had to worry about the possibility of rain.

Beautiful Barn Venue
This venue is absolutely beautiful! We had an early October wedding and the scenery just speaks for itself. You truly do not need a lot of decor to make your wedding what you want it to be because the barn adds so much character. Anne, her family and the Whippoorwill Hill staff are so kind, friendly and communicative. If you are looking for a barn venue, this is definitely for you!

wonderfully amazing
after looking for a barn, i’m happy i found this one and worked with these wonderful people! the staff is very helpful and friendly! the barn is gorgeous in itself and didn’t need a lot of decorations which was perfect for me and my husband! couldn’t be happier with the experience!

Dream come true
We had an amazing wedding at Whippoorwill Hill! When we first met Anne and saw the space we knew it was the place. Not only is the venue barn elegant and classic, but the rest of the property is stunning. The historical aspect of the place is just icing on the cake for us (my family loves old restored buildings).
For our wedding we wanted something that was both elegant and classic but also had plenty of beautiful places for pictures. This was the place. The space can truly be made to fit any theme. We utilized the entire venue from the fields, the pole barn, the 1822 house, and even the woods. In fact, when we said we wanted to have our wedding in the woods, Anne said “no problem” and helped us make it happen by spending a day cleaning the area and the entire walk to the spot. When I said I wanted to bring my horse to the venue for the wedding she said “of course! What time will she be here?”. They truly made it a dream come true.
Lastly, the venue coordinator (sorry don’t have her name), made the day of run so smoothly. When she met my elderly grandfather she helped him with everything he needed and even said “my job is to take care of you”. That was just going above and beyond and meant the world to me. My grandpa just couldn’t stop talking about her and what a great help she was.
I would have a wedding here again in the heartbeat.

Thoughtful owners, beautiful space
We could not have asked for a better venue for our wedding. We absolutely fell in love with the barn and the old farmhouse and the rolling fields of farmland. Anne and her family are wonderful caretakers of this space and all of the people that host events here. We’re so grateful to have found it.

Every thing we hoped for

Beautiful Barn Venue
This venue was everything I dreamed it would be for my special day. They were completely understand and very helpful with all my questions/ concerns.
The barn itself is so beautiful and has a really great airflow with all the barn doors open. We had a mid July wedding and while it was definitely warm it wasn’t near as hot as we expected.
The air conditioned entry/bathroom/kitchen spaces was great to have for some of our guests to chill when they needed to cool off.
The grounds the venue sits on are very well kept and so beautiful. It gave us many options for photos.
We booked the venue for two full days so that we could decorate and set up the day before as well as hot our rehearsal dinner there. I would highly suggest this if you are wanting to decorate the venue yourself. It was also very well priced compared to other venues in the area.
We booked the venue about a year and a half in advance and had great communication with Anne all the way leading up to the wedding.
We could not of picked a better place to create our special day!

Beautiful and classic
Whippoorwill Hill was extremely accommodating, communicative, and flexible. Lots of outdoor options for guests to explore during social/cocktail hour like the horse barn, patios, and grassy areas. Lights and barnwood were beautiful touches for a rustic chic wedding. Had the feeling of an old barn in a new updated setting.

Our wedding was amazing. More than a fairytale. Ann at whippoorwill was incredible to work with. She came in early before work to let us in to decorate the venue on our wedding day. Which is was not in our contract- she totally didn’t have to. She even helped! Then she let us use her PA system for music. Not to mention all the decor you can borrow that saved us so much $$ and was convenient bc it was already on site and we didn’t have to buy things we would never use again. The photos we have from our wedding are amazing because of Whippoorwill’s beauty. Truly a fairytale day!

Whippoorwill Hill is a beautiful venue right outside of Bloomington, Indiana. Pictures simply do not do it’s justice! From the beauty of the reconstructed barn to the newly renovated bathrooms and kitchen, the venue far exceeded our expectations for our wedding! The decor available is an added bonus as well! Our wedding day was seamless from start to finish and Anne and her team were wonderful to work with for our pre wedding planning!

I married the love of my life Sept 24, 2021. As COVID has impacted venue availabilities, I started to panic when we were unable to find dates available. I like to think that Whippoorwill Hill found us. It was everything Taylor and I imagined in a wedding venue. Anne and the Whippoorwill Hill staff made the planning experience as easy as it could be. Communication was fantastic between us and the venue. I really find it difficult to have any negative comments because the process and our wedding day was truly perfect. Whippoorwill Hill provided us the most perfect setting and venue for our wedding! Throughout the process leading up to our day, Anne was so very helpful and available for questions. She took much of the guesswork out of what to expect. The day of our wedding, there were venue coordinators readily available that helped with any problems or needs that arose. They were all super helpful! And finally the venue was simply gorgeous. Nice and secluded and well maintained to provide for the feel. We got married outside with the reception inside and both settings were stunning.
Everything was so straightforward throughout planning and the venue could not have been prettier. Wouldn’t have wanted to get married anywhere else!

Most Amazing Wedding Venue!
My husband and I were married there on 9/19/21 and it was the best experience! They were so professional and made sure our day was exactly how we wanted it! The value of what you get when booking with Whippoorwill Hill is beyond anything you can expect. I highly recommend this venue to anyone looking to get married in a barn venue!

The best place!
Our wedding on 9/12/21 was absolutely perfect! The barn and property are breathtakingly beautiful. Our pictures look amazing thanks to the gorgeous farm. Ann was so great to work with, and everything went smoothly. She answered all my questions promptly and was very flexible with our needs. Highly recommend to anyone looking for the perfect wedding venue!

We loved this venue!
We looked at many and are so glad we chose Whippoorwill Hill. The property is beautiful and epitomizes the beauty of southern Indiana. The lighting is perfect and our reception had a warm, glowy feel. We aren’t the biggest dancers and, while there certainly was dancing, there was also a s’mores bonfire and a grassy field and a donkey and wildflowers on site. Our friends and family used and enjoyed all of the space. Our day felt so magical, and that was easy to pull off in this space. Anne is truly wonderful to work with and was kind and helpful to us each step along the way (even helping to search for a lucky horseshoe we left behind). You won’t regret hosting your event here!

Amazing owners

Gorgeous Venue
Venue is gorgeous in every way! The barn, the setting, the landscaping, the decorations. We had rain on our big day and the covered patio allowed us to move our ceremony spot with no stress.

Dream Venue
I can't recommend Whippoorwill Hill enough. The barn, house, and scenery are all so beautiful; the helpful staff and Open Barns make planning a breeze; and their available decorations make things so easy and cost-effective. I couldn't imagine having my wedding anywhere else!

Perfect venue!
We could not have been happier with our experience at Whippoorwill Hill! The venue was gorgeous, and everyone was professional and friendly throughout the planning stages and the day-of.
