Janet and crew were extremely helpful with my (now) husband and I when we were so clueless when it came to our invitations, programs, etc. They made the entire process so painless and even fun! We got countless compliments on our wedding invitation, reh. dinner invites and even our programs. All of our visions turned out so beautifully and none of it would have been possible without Janet's expertise. We had our invitations made from Apropos. Not only they arrived on time, but also they are perfect. Janet was very detail oriented and helpful. She knows everything I need to know to make my invitation appropriate and prefect. -

We were so lucky to have Apropos right in our own backyard. They were willing to work with us- listen to all of our ideas- and work within our budget.
They were prompt and helpful. Friendly and accommodating!
One of our cards came back from the printer with a small glitch and they worked with us to fix it with speedy service and friendliness.
We actually ended up using them for engagement party , shower, brunch and wedding invites. They also did a great job on tent cards for our reception. Loved working with Janet and Barb.

Apropos is one of the best vendors I worked with. Despite being the only brick and mortar invitation store in northern Delaware with good, old-fashioned invitation books, their prices are competitive and their service is top notch. Over the course of the past year, I worked with every staff member to first put together completely custom save-the-dates, then gorgeous formal invitations with lots of little parts, and finally escort cards and thank you notes. When the vendor we were using for the invitations repeatedly made mistakes, Apropos was fantastic in staying in touch with me and the vendor to make sure we got exactly what we needed.Whimsy's reply:

With the bride's vision in mind, Janet guides you and helps you create exactly what you're looking for. The turnover time for proofing is super fast and when I had to make a correction I got an immediate response. I couldn't have been happier with the service and the quality of the product. Working with Janet at Apropos was a great experience! I knew exactly what I wanted - after looking through all of the invitation designs, Janet and I decided, a custom invitation would give me everything exactly the way I wanted it to look. Janet sat down and went through every single detail with me, line by line, by color, by font for every part of the invitation, response card, accommodations card, and envelopes. I felt very confident that the invitations would come out exactly the way we outlined it. Janet and Apropos sent a proof within 5-10 days of designing the invitation. They have many, many beautiful templates but Janet was very knowledgeable about pricing and style which made it very easy for us to narrow down the options. We had many guests comment on how elegant the invitations were. Apropos was also very flexible in helping us reprint an envelope for a guest whose name we spelled incorrectly. I visited one other wedding invitation shop before visiting Apropos and was not impressed by the selection, the shop owner, or the prices. I told a colleague who highly recommended Apropos. Once I arrived, I was blown away by the selection and the service. After letting me look around at a first glance, they told me to schedule a personal appointment with a wedding invitation coordinator. Having the one-on-one support was extremely helpful. The staff answered every question I had, even called the manufacturer to clarify something confusing, and helped me customize my very own invitation. Everything was done within my budget and the invitation and inserts arrived in perfect condition in less than one week. I would highly recommend Apropos to anybody looking for a fabulous staff and a fabulous invitation!Whimsy's reply:

We were referred to Apropos by another business and were immediately reassured that we had plenty of time. We were offered many options (though we knew what we wanted), our proofs were emailed to us quickly and the end product was perfect. Janet was always available to answer questions and address concerns. She even helped me completely re do my invitations after originally choosing an invitation that I later just didn't like. I am soo impressed with the quality and the price of the invitations here. We have used Apropos for wedding invitations twice. Both times we have been extremely satisfied with their service, professionalism and love. The lady that helped us with the invitations was always very helpful and very accommodating to our schedule. She had lots of wonderful suggestions and gave us time to talk by ourselves.
The proof and the invitations were always delivered on time.
The bride and groom were very satisfied with their invitations.

Janet took her time going through all of the books and even went through everything a second time when I returned with my fiancé because I did not like my original selection. Janet helped with the wording of the invitation and with etiquette for addressing the envelopes. This is definitely the place to get your invitations. They always discount, and were so helpful with suggestions. They were less expensive than ordering online, and the quality was much better. Our invitations were just beautiful and just right for our wedding.Whimsy's reply:

Janet and all the ladies at Apropos were great! They were very helpful in selecting and ordering my invitations. Janet answered all my questions about wording and etiquette regarding wedding invitations. You definitely do not get this personal experience if you order invitations from an online vendor. We purchases invitations and thank you notes from Apropos for my daughter's bat mitzvah. The staff there was wonderfully nice and extremely helpful. They provided suggestions on font and styling, as well as suggestions to keep costs in check. For example, they suggested waiting to order thank you notes since the vendor frequently had sale promotions (which they did, and we ended up with a buy one box, get one free deal!).Whimsy's reply:

To anyone buying/ordering invitations, double check, even triple check every word, symbol, phone number on the invitation. Call the numbers to be sure they are correct.Whimsy's reply:

This is a cute gift shop with tons of stationary and invitations to choose from! They know everything regarding etiquette and wording. They did our wedding invitations and my mother-in-law had them do the rehearsal dinner invitations. They made some mistakes on the rehearsal proofs. We loved our wedding invitations! The only thing that annoyed me was that they did our proofs on the stationary that WE paid for, and then when we okayed them, they printed the same addresses again, leaving us with no extras. I think they should have paid for the envelopes used in the proofs. Otherwise, though, they are very nice and professional. The shop is worth a visit if for nothing else than to check out all the cute gift ideas.Whimsy's reply:
Thank you for your review. We usually provide a proof on the actual envelope so that you can get an accurate visual of how you final product will look. We do recommend ordering 10% additional envelopes in case an envelope jams and for proofs. -

Awful! I went in to browse at invitations and I was told I need to make an appt to look at invitations. I am looking at 3 different stores and this is the first one that said to make an appt. She stated that I needed to meet with a wedding consultant. Again I wanted to browse. As one of the ladies there is telling me this the other lady looks up from helping another bride and stated you need to make an appt to reserve the table. Again I wanted to browse the vendors available and essentially would've spent a quite a bit of money with them if I chose their store but I didn't get that chance because I needed to reserve a table. Again I stated I was not aware I needed an appt and I traveled 45 minutes to go to their store and had called prior to ask about coming in for invitations and there was no mention of an appt needing to be made. Furious. I did not read in my wedding etiquette books that a bride needs to make an appt to flip through a few books. I was a customer but I will never be again!Whimsy's reply:
We are very sorry you were unhappy with your experience. Any bride is welcome to drop in and look through the books at anytime, but if there is another appointment already using the table, we are obligated to spend our time with that bride. The bride we were helping when you came in actually had not made an appointment, but the table was not occupied when she came in. We want to give each bride the appropriate time and our full attention when they are ordering their invitations. -
