The invitations and menus that Melissa produced for us were truly one-of-a-kind and memorable. At our initial meeting, she was able to cater to my taste and thoughts, and was able to impressively understand my vision and help make that a reality! The quality of our invitations and menus are still complimented on to this day, and were a wonderful addition to our entire wedding theme. Melissa was extremely professional and reliable, and helped make the entire process fun! Without a doubt would work with her again!

We loved working with Melissa and highly recommend her! Our wedding invitations and signage were gorgeous! Melissa was very flexible and super easy to work with. We wanted floral inspired invitations and signage to go with our romantic/rustic wedding. Everything was perfect! Thank you Melissa!

I am really happy to have found melissa in San Diego! Her work was extraordinary soni emailed her very early just to get a quote and she answered quickly and happily even though I wasnt ready to commit at the moment. She gave me an estimate based on an invitation she had created before and that I saw in a magazine. When the time came by florist told me it was time to get working on the invites and I never bothered to get quotes from other people. I knew i wanted Melissa to do the job. I just had to figure out what theme first. So I chose a Gatsby theme, we set up an appointment, we met she showed me tons of samples and ideas. I was a little overwhelmed ( but in the good way) with ideas and she helped me narrow it down with her opinions and I loved my invites! Budget was not a problem for her she gave me plenty of options but i went with the pricey one just because my budget allowed it but i am sure i could have had an less expensive invite that would have been beautiful ! Her work really does look beautiful!!! She was very responsive when it came down to escort cards. Ugh! Getting those done, drafted and corrected was probably the most tedious and difficult stage for me. I was pretty stressed because those things cannot be done to early because by the time your guests send back the rsvp's you're already rushing. In my case my family kept changing their rsvp's and i really wanted everyone to have their own personal escort card with their meal choice. She was super patient with me and didnt let a single name go uncorrected. She never made me feel pressured, bad, and was super helpful. You will never regret hiring Whimsique for your magical day!!!

Melissa was genuine, warm, patient and super creative with our invites, save the dates and escort cards. Time and time again we have received compliments!! Many of our family and friends stated these were the best invitations they have ever received. Fantastic quality....just gorgeous! And super unique!

If you want the Complete Package-professionalism, attentiveness, responsiveness, on time delivery, great personality and artistic perfection, then Melissa Ward of Whimsique has to be your choice! Melissa did an amazing job on my daughter’s wedding invitations; favor boxes, assorted signage (for food stations, church, red carpet, candy buffet) in addition to menus, guest seating chart, agenda for out of town guest packages, and church programs! As mother of the bride, and also their official wedding planner, working with Melissa was totally stress free which in itself was such a bonus! I had the pleasure of meeting Melissa on my trip to San Diego, and I knew we had made the right choice using Whimsique for all our wedding stationery. Melissa designed the most beautiful Gatsby style wedding invitation complete with ostrich feather, brooch and tiny rhinestone accents which was mailed to our guests in a white gift box with blush ribbon! The response from our guests ranged from “you have got to be kidding me to… I am not going to return the RSVP Card because I don’t want to disturb this beautiful presentation” The invitation was truly breathtaking! The design and theme of the invitation was carried throughout the wedding event and we received so many compliments from those attending as to the detail that went into the wedding – all with thanks and appreciation to Melissa. After working with Melissa for a year and half, I felt like I was losing a friend when the wedding was over – but in giving her this review, I hope others will enjoy the same pleasure that I experienced as they plan for their special day! Melissa is the best, not only in San Diego area, but throughout the US in my opinion.

Whimsique did our wedding invitations for our wedding on May 9, 2015. Melissa is OUTSTANDING at what she does. I would say these invitations are HANDS DOWN the best you will find in San Diego. They are a bit on the pricier side, but totally worth it if it's in your budget. They are so classy and glamorous. My husband was worried they'd be a little too feminine, but Melissa worked and worked and WORKED on them with me (on the design, colors and wording) until it was exactly what we wanted. Not to mention, she was the best vendor out of all the vendors for my wedding to respond to my (many) emails. This is where you need to get your wedding invitations done if you are getting married in San Diego!

Melissa was unbelievable! I would highly recommend her for anyone looking for wedding invitations, or stationary. So many of our guests have commented on how gorgeous and incredible the invitations are. But Melissa was even more impressive than the finished product. She had a huge selection of completed invitations to get ideas rolling for ours. She was very informative as far as what works well with other things and what does not. She was open to collaborating with us and our suggestions, and made countless changes to the invitations until we were 100% happy, always using our input and giving us exactly what we wanted. Best of all, she answered every single email promptly, including late at night and during the weekends. Being in the industry myself, customer service is a huge deal to me, and she went above and beyond. Cannot speak highly enough of how great Melissa was/is. Everybody, and I mean everybody, should use her for their wedding invitations and stationary needs.

Melissa designed our Save the Dates, invites, escort cards and thank yous. Very personable, friendly, professional and had a great eye for color schemes. We had Melissa do our wedding invitations. I absolutely love them, and we have received a ton of feedback from our guests saying they are "the most beautiful wedding invitations they have ever seen!" I may be biased, but I have to agree :-)! They were pricey, but they were letterpressed on thick cotton paper, foiled, included inner/outer envelopes, and an inner liner. Melissa did everything she could to fit my dream invites within our budget. She stayed in line with other letterpress competitors' pricing, but offered a lot more customization than any national invitation company! She allowed me to have a lot of creative input, and was able to transfer my calligraphy into a template that was later foiled into the invitation. The end result was incredible! I later found out that was a very involved task, and I am so grateful Melissa took the time to do it! She is great at returning emails...quickest of all the vendors I've dealt with. :-) She also gave me extra invitations that were made free of charge, and we were able to keep the letterpress/foiling plates which is a cool memento! She also emailed me our custom monogram used on our invitations so I could repeat the motif on other items. I am so glad we invested in these invitations and can hold onto one as a keepsake!

By far one of the best vendors I have ever worked with!! Not only were their products beautiful and of extremely high quality but they were extremely flexible and supportive throughout the entire process. It was a pleasure working with Melissa. My invitations were amazing! She listened to me and really understood my vision. We were so in love with our invitations that we decided that we wanted her to also do our escort cards and ceremony programs. Both of which were just as fabulous as the invitations and made the wedding seem more uniform. Her invitations really got our guests excited to attend our wedding and were a great first impression. Her prices are very reasonable and she was able to work with our budget. I'm so glad we went with Whimsique!

Melissa is simply amazing! I met her at a bridal fair at the US Grant and just knew she had to design our invitations - I loved her and her work! From our first meeting discussing our general wedding theme to the very week before, she designed exactly what we wanted - plus so much more!! After seeing her invitations, we also had her design thank you cards for each place setting, our escort cards (which were SO adorable!), a personalized menu, photo booth sign and a few other details. Throughout the entire process she was so easy to work with and very professional. I couldn't be happier and have received SO many compliments on our invitations. Everyone loved them!!!

I ordered my wedding save the dates, invitations and event signage from Whimsique. I LOVE how everything turned out because it is unique to me and my wedding. I met with Melissa where she got an idea of what I was going for. She actually helped me to better verbalize my theme and vision which was appreciated. The process just took off from there! She quickly came back to me with inspired ideas- which I LOVED. Throughout the entire process she was responsive and thoughtful. Melissa is creative and professional- a tuff combo to find. I met Melissa at a Bridal show and really liked her invitations. I was looking for invitations that were beautiful and custom without having to spend a fortune. Melissa worked with my style and wedding theme to create the perfect invitations. They are stunning! The attention to detail is really beautiful. It really set the tone for the wedding. Melissa was a pleasure to work with and I would hightly recommend her for your invitation needs. After going to the traditional invitation stores and looking online, I was not finding anything that was different or special. I emailed Melissa and with only one in person meeting she was able to translate our vision into reality. That says a lot when you have so many other wedding plans to worry about. Melissa was very responsive and not only created our invitations but our placecards, menus, and bride and groom signs for the reception.

Melissa was awesome! I met with her not really knowing what to expect or what I wanted, and she gently helped me along the way. What she designed was far beyond our expectations, and we couldn't have asked for anything more beautiful! After receiving their invitations, our out-of-town guests all called/emailed/texted us with so much excitement! She was able to capture exactly what we wanted in an invitation/RSVP! She charges very fair rates and will undoubtedly surpass your expectations! I suggest working with Whimsique for any custom-designed stationary or invitations you need! Very happy bride here :-)

Working with Melissa was an absolute pleasure. My fiancé and I did not get around to our wedding invitations until late in our wedding planning process and were worried about what to expect. After first speaking with Melissa, our worries were set aside. Melissa provided exceptional service and, most importantly, flexibility. She was able to meet with us at the times that we needed and was always prompt to respond to our emails. We worked very closely with Melissa to design our invitations within a short time-frame and were blown away by her ability to capture our vision. We received several compliments from our guests on our wedding invitations.

Planning a wedding is stressful... and Melissa was the easiest vendor by far out of all of the vendors I dealt with. She was quick, responsive, professional, easy to work with and available on any last minute changes that needed to be made. We were so glad we found her. Our invitations and table cards, menus all looked terrific. We could not be more happy with the product, quality, and quickness in receiving the items. I would definitely use her again should I need invitations for another event.

Melissa is the owner of Whimsique Invitations and Stationery who came to our rescue just in time for our wedding stationery! My husband found out 2 months from our wedding that the business that completed our wedding invitations for was unfortunately going out of business. We really wanted all of our stationery to be cohesive and match our wedding invitations. We automatically were stressed out not knowing where to turn. Luckily, our wedding coordinator recommended Melissa to complete our stationery and we are SO happy we went with her! At our initial meeting, she had the exact paper and colors that we used for our wedding invitations from the other business, however her imagine and creativity was 10 times better and we wished we could have used her for our invitations as well. We were worried about spending a ton of money on items that would eventually get thrown away such as name place cards, wedding menus, etc. Melissa was very understanding and helped us work with our budget. She was sweet, caring, and knew the image we wanted to create with our stationery items. She was very professional, ALWAYS getting back to me via email….sometimes within seconds! And lastly…you can truly tell that she loves what she does and loves her job...which makes her work stand out even more in my eyes. We are so happy we went with Whimsique for our wedding programs, place cards, and menus. You will NOT be disappointed if you choose her. Thank you Melissa!

Melissa was absolutely incredible! I found her through Etsy and loved that she can personalize my Invitations, RSVP cards, Place Cards, Programs, and Thank You cards. I wanted something that was one of a kind, classy and elegant and that matched my colors and theme. She sure delivered! I got so many compliments!
She worked with me despite all my "I change my mind" episodes. She was always really super friendly and very prompt in responding. Planning a wedding can get a little bit crazy, but working with Melissa was so great and easy! I HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend her!!!!

I researched companies for at least 2-3 months on wedding invitations. I'm in love with my GORGEOUS invitations and it was an absolute pleasure working with Melissa. She was able to take my 5 ideas and create the most perfect invitation. I still look at them 2-3 times a week and get compliments on them. It has been one of my favorite experiences in planning our wedding. I would use Whimsique again and recommend them to everyone with out hesitation.

Melissa designed our wedding invitations and they are amazing. From the beginning she was very responsive and flexible in meeting with me a day after I called her during a weekend. I really wanted to touch and look at real samples and not just browse through hundreds of invitations on a website. Communicating with her was a pleasure and she was always promptly responding and guiding my ideas to take shape. Somehow she took what I envisioned and actually created it even before I could really describe it. The attention to detail was incredible especially with all the custom inserts I needed to be done in two languages. There was no limit on the number of revisions we could do and she made sure I was satisfied with the final result. Even the presentation of all the invitations show a lot of attention to detail. The invitations are so beautiful and a great way to truly invite our guests. I would highly recommend Whimsique if you are looking for professionalism, quality, and a beautiful product

SHe was very quick to respond to any questions I had and reallt listened to what I wanted. She cared as much as I did about making sure my wedding invites were perfect! Melissa at Whimsique is truly amazing. She designed the invites and the decor for my baby shower. Not only is she super talented and so sweet to work with, but she truly cares about "your" style and preferences. She will do what it takes to make sure its exactly what you want, or if you don't have a vision, she will create a beautiful one for you! If you want the job done right, use Whimsique!

These days, customer service isn't what it should be. Melissa is a rare gem. She is quick to respond and will answer all your questions. Her personalized service meant the world to me!

Melissa was Amazing to work with!! Melissa helped my husband & I with all of the paper goods for our Wedding Ceremony and Reception. We only had about 3 1/2 weeks to get everything pulled together & she did so flawlessly. Melissa was extremely professional, prompt in responding to my emails, worked with multiple draft changes in a short period of time, and ultimately delivered a gorgeous final product! She was very fun & creative and helped us convey the look and feel we wanted for our special day. I can't say Thank you enough & I would Absolutely recommend Melissa to any other bride.....I just adore her!!!

We loved the invitations that Whimsique provided for us, they perfectly complimented our "antique toy" themed baby shower. She was so accomodating and quick to respond to all of our changes. We got so many compliments on the finished product--they were adorable! The files were also really easy to print.

I am a professional photographer who offers custom cards and announcements to my customers. I worked with Melissa at Whimsique on several custom card designs for my business. She created customizable templates allowing my customers flexibility to create a card using their wording, colors, and themes all while exhibiting my personal style choices that represent my business.

I was so pleased with the end product and overall experience. Melissa was very attentive to my preliminary design requests and included everything I wanted to see into each final design. She was very responsive to edit requests I had personally and from my customers. She turned around my files quickly and added professional feedback on the designs that I found very useful as well.

I would highly recommend her services to anyone.

We used Whimsique's services for creating our beach-themed wedding invitations and they turned out to be perfect! We were recommended to use letterpress for the copy and the results were flawless and elegant. Melissa was very helpful and responsive throughout the whole process in making our vision come to reality. We received complimentary ribbon and paper samples in the mail to choose from and saw a proof before the final printing. So many of our wedding guests provided great feedback and comments on how lovely the invitations look. I highly recommend Whimsique to anyone that is looking for high quality and creative invitations or stationary for any occasion!

I couldn't be happier with the invitations from Whimsique. We planned an untraditional bridal shower and her Alice in Wonderland themes were perfect. She even rushed the order to meet my time restrictions. I will definitely be using Whimsique in the future.

Whimsique was exactly what I needed!! My husband and I eloped, but wanted to quickly notify friends and family that we intended to celebrate our spontaneous union. I contacted Melissa, and she was so HELPFUL! She designed the PERFECT e-save the date that I was able to send out so quickly. Melissa works with you every step of the process and allows you time not only to change your mind, but to add the details that you might have forgot. Going in to this, I was scared. Especially because the save the dates involved pictures.

Dan and I, were totally in love with the Save the Dates and recommend Melissa to everyone.

She is great at shaping ideas you may have!

Also Melissa was very prompt at answering emails and questions, and she did it in a way that was nice and didn't make you feel like a moron. For example, I wanted to know when I should send the Save the Dates, because our wedding is in 2013, she gave me advice without making me feel like this was something I should know.

Melissa is fine and willing to work with people of any orientation!!!!

Basically Melissa is amazing and you should support Whimsique Invitations & Stationery.

Whimsique designed the most beautiful invitations for us! We still get compliments on them when people see photos! I didn't have to worry about the invites at all because everything was done in a timely fashion, everything was right the first time around and they were exactly what we wanted! We are looking forward to our next event where we can use Whimsique!

Loved working with Melissa at Whimsique! The invitations turned out just as we envisioned them and everyone was talking about how gorgeous they were. The cost was steep, but I think this is typical of custom designed paper.

I absolutely loved working with Melissa! I used her for my wedding and bridal shower invitations/stationary. I got so many compliments for my invitations because they were absolutely outstanding! Although I rarely leave reviews, I was compelled to share my experience with Whimsique. Although Melissa is eager to assist, the level of oversight and error on my wedding invitations was alarming. In addition to spelling and format errors that were luckily caught by a friend (read: 11 o'clock in the afternoon vs. morning), we continuously received incorrect information regarding postage which resulted in our having to re-order our custom stamps 3 times and delayed our invitations. Further, one of my guests commented on the escort cards wondering when they had gone to medical school as they were miraculously listed as a 'Dr.'. If you use Whimsique be prepared to triple check and then check again before printing as proofing is not their strength. Overall the mistakes and inconsistencies were very upsetting and caused a great deal of unnecessary stress for my fiancé and I. Although she did attempt to right the many wrongs, I felt that the mistakes were completely insane given that this is her full time business. Sadly, I would not recommend this vendor.
