All I hear about the wedding is how great the food was! We went with the smoked pork tenderloin, twice-baked mashed potatoes, green beans, and Tuscany rice - It was AMAZING! On Aug. 25 Werner's catered our Golden Wedding in Schulenburg Tx. The roast beef was perfectly prepared as were the grilled vegetables. The salad was fresh and crisp. The rolls were fresh and delicious. The serving crew was very professional and courteous. The compliments about the meal are still coming in. Needless to say we were over joyed and would highly recommend Werner's for you catering needs.On Aug. 25 Werner's catered our Golden Wedding in Schulenburg Tx. It was a joy to work with Werner's every step of the way. We originally had another caterer in mind, and contacted Werner's just for appetizers. When we went in for a tasting, however, we immediately changed our mind. Not only was the food better, but they did real dishes and family style for cheaper than our previous choice!
EVERYONE raved about the food, and is still raving a month later! They were great with my food allergies and even prepped some vegan meals on short notice for a few of my guests. Everyone I spoke to and worked with was so sweet, and the servers day of were amazing. Wonderful food, great price, and a pleasure...It was a joy to work with Werner's every step of the way. All of my guests loved the BBQ that Werners served up for my daughter's reception! She and her fiancee live in NY, but are TX born and bred. BBQ was their absolute choice for the reception since it is one of the things they miss. Werners not only served up delicious food, but fashioned the serving buffet to fit in with our decor. There were several oops that popped up (my fault) and Nicole calmly took care of it. In fact, Nicole was wonderful to work with for the 8 months of planning and by the day of the wedding I felt as if she was a friend instead of a vendor!All of my guests loved the BBQ that Werners served up for my daughter's reception! I first found Werner's at the Bridal Extravaganza. Knowing I have a father who is an amazing cook and can cook some mean BBQ himself. I was having to be very selective of my caterer. I took my family to a taste testing and Werner's was hands doing going to be our choice. Joey was great to work with and answer any questions. The food the night of the wedding was amazing, so amazing in fact that the reception hall asked if they could invite one of their other brides up for a quick test and she booked them that night. I have since recommened Werner's to multiple friends for various events. Great food, price and service. 5 stars all the way! Joey was a sweetheart to work with; he catered to all the things we were looking for. And he even catered to a special request of a certain kind of meat (ham) that my husband wanted even though brisket, sausage and ham was a weird dinner combination plate for our guest Joey made it happen just for my hubby. I was so impressed at how eager Joey was to get our business he told me “what can I do for you that will knock these other caterers off your choice list and come with me?” I gave him a proposal from another caterer and he gave me a way much sweeter deal and still...5 stars all the way! Joey was a sweetheart to work with; he catered to all the things we were looking for. And he even catered to a special request of a certain kind of meat (ham) that my husband wanted even though brisket, sausage and ham was a weird dinner combination plate for our guest Joey made it happen just for my hubby. We went in for a fabulous tasting. Then the day of the wedding our wedding got delayed an hour because of a train broke down right on the road to our venue, causing our guest along with some of our vendors including Werner’s Catering to arrive late but they still stayed an hour late to make sure everyone had ate. I on the other hand the day of the wedding didn’t get to taste the bbq I got family ambushed like paparazzi to take a gazillion pictures that I didn’t get to even touch my food.(brides make sure to at least hide before you go into your reception and eat a plate of dinner because once you go inside you won’t look so appealing in pictures with a cheek full of food and every 30 seconds family, friends and guests can’t wait to congratulate and take pics specially when you’re sitting and eating dinner at your head table) But still weeks later and I still get numerous compliments and from all my guest wanting to know if the caterer was a restaurant because people just want to go eat their bbq and or guest asking for Joey’s # for their future big event. Definitely worth every penny and very tasty the other big plus is they make all sorts of foods not just bbq. -

This food is amazing! We had the lasagna, chicken with cajun cream sauce, garlic mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, steamed veggies, and garlic bread. When we came into the restaurant for a tasting, we were basically treated like royalty and the food was amazing! At one point closer to the wedding, we were even upgraded for free on one aspect of the deal which we were/are greatly appreciative of! On the day of the wedding, there were no hitches. The staff was professional and friendly. The only thing I noticed was that mashed potatoes were served instead of the twice-baked potatoes we had ordered. Not the end of the world, they were still good. My only other comment...Overall, we were very impressed with Werner's Catering. For reference: we paid 1477.35 for appetizers, dinner, and cake cutting for 90 people. Not bad. -

The food was amazing all of my guests loved the food! Everyone that worked for Werner's was amazing! My sister used them for her wedding, and several of my other friends used them and everyone loved them and their food! I would highly recommended them to anyone!

The food tasted much better at the wedding than at the tasting, and our guests were really pleased with their meal. It was a good value overall, with good sized portions. We were very pleased with the servers and level of service that was provided at our wedding.
Unfortunately we were highly disappointed in the meal. None of the items we chose at the tasting were served at the wedding. The wrong salad, wrong chicken, wrong potatoes, wrong veggies. I even double check our invoice because I was so confused how every item was wrong.
I do not recommend Werners unless you was to be surprised on your wedding day/event by what food is put in front of you.We were very pleased with the servers and level of service that was provided at our wedding.

In the beginning working with Nicole and Mr. Werner everything had been planned a year out. I had called the caterer several times to make sure all was going well and on target. I had also paid them in full $4900.00 .Last Saturday on the day of my daughter's wedding they showed up half hour late and cocktail hour started at 6:00 P.M. This was an out-door wedding and in the evening at 5:30. and 62 degree's. The cocktail food was to be displayed on there high rise plates etc. They did not bring that. We had to use the venues. The most dis-heartening thing is they had not brought any sterno or anything to keep the hot appetisers...In the beginning working with Nicole and Mr. Werner everything had been planned a year out. 2. There were only 2 people to serve 70 people. No silverware put on the bridal parties table.
3. We had a buffet and there were no sterno's to keep the food hot on this buffet so that went cold. The buffet started 15 minutes late.
4. We were charged $2.00 a plate to cut the wedding cake and the caterers left and we had to do it ourselves.
5. We were charged $2.00 a plate for a caterer to pick up the plates and cups and they left some behind at the venue. We helped clear the tables.
As a mother I was so upset that I cried at the bridal table and could not even eat my dinner. Werner's spoiled this wedding for me and my daughter and her new husband. Myself and the person who owned the venue called Mr. Werner's cell right away and he never responded to us. We found out from the 2 caterers that they were in Victoria on another wedding prior to ours and they were not aware they were coming to ours and picked up a truck of food not even knowing what was in it?? How could someone do this. At this point I would like some of our money refunded and a apology for ruining this special time with our family and friends with there service.

Then you book the place, pay them, and they show up with food that tastes NOTHING like you thought you were promised?! Werner's Catering is absolutely horrible - RUN AWAY!!!!
They completely ruined my wedding. They broke multiple terms of the contract. They were extremely rude and unprofessional. And they have been completely unresponsive in my attempts to contact them since the event.
It is not worth crying at your event (like I did) to hire them just because they are reasonably priced. You get much less than you pay for. They were cheap and lazy.
I intend to use all my new free time (now that planning a wedding is over) to make sure no other bride makes the same mistake I did...If it was possible to give them a negative score, I would.

I intend to use all my new free time (now that planning a wedding is over) to make sure no other bride makes the same mistake I did by using them.
