Highly Recommend!

Wedit's professional and prompt communication made planning a last minute Covid-19 wedding possible. We had to cancel our original destination wedding and decided to get married locally less than 2 weeks away. After my initial inquiry I received a phone call within hours and they were able to advise me on which package was perfect for me and within our budget. They arrived exactly when they said they would and was pleasantly surprised that the iPod's even came with a charging cord! Would absolutely recommend Wedit for not just your wedding but for any big event!

I really didn't know what to expect when I booked Wedit for our wedding videography. I knew that I was looking for an inexpensive option while still being able to capture our wedding day. I found Wedit and thought it may be the best of both worlds. The Wednesday before our wedding, I received the 'HD cameras'... they're really iPods. We were able to read the tips and take a few videos from the days leading up to the wedding. During our wedding day I had asked a few trustworthy friends and family members to be in charge of certain cameras. They took the traditional, artistic shots of the church, reception space, views of the wedding party, shots of my wedding dress, etc. Even afterwards, I didn't know what to expect. It wasn't until I received all of the raw footage and then the edited video that I knew it was the right choice. From all 5 cameras, we were able to capture so many moments that were missed, or forgotten. It was such a relief and such a joy to go through the raw footage. I was brought to tears at the edited video of our incredible day. There is a special 'home video' aspect to Wedit that I value dearly. Thank you Wedit for an affordable, simple, high-quality service!

Wedit did a spectacular job editing my son and daughter- in- laws wedding! Amazed that they were able to pick apart snippets from each video and make it into a work of art. They captured every special detail!!

I'm so glad we decided to go with Wedit! We got the normal package (I did my own editing) and it went so well. My guests loved the concept and we had so many amazing videos of moments that I didn't even know about. I feel like this captured the spirit of my friends and family better than a traditional videographer would. People behaved like they were with friends, not with a camera person. We got a ton of really fun footage. The cameras arrived exactly when they said they would and they were fully charged. One did die during the night - but we had been using that particular camera all day. We just plugged it in with the charger provided and it was fine. The cameras are ipod touches, so everyone knew how to use it. I do wish that they had a flash though. The videos turned out fine, but the photos that people took on the cameras are pretty dark. At least the photos that were taken inside. I can't say anything about their editing service, because I didn't use it, but everything else went smoothly. I wish we could have opted to have more than 5 cameras, because they were such a hit. People were carrying them around all night!

No complaints! Got exactly what we paid for and exactly what we were looking for! Ordering process was easy, they promptly answered any questions I had via email, and iPod's arrived on time. We gave a camera to a groomsmen, a bridesmaid, mother of the groom, man of honor, and put one on a tripod as our photo/video "booth". The iPod's connect to bluetooth which allowed our tripod/photo booth to have a hands free clicker to take the pics and start/stop video! Thanks Wedit for the awesome customer service, we can't wait to see the video's uploaded to your site!

This company is a great alternative to dropping thousands on a wedding video! Perfect if you can trust your friends and family to record things for you ;)

The videos came quickly and were very easy to use! They all held hours of footage and everything went smoothly! Only detail is some were hard to get the flash to go on for video so a lot of our reception footage is dark but so fun to watch and relive!

Awaiting my edited video but can't wait to see! They were so quick to upload all of my footage and I have enjoyed everything so far!

I was having trouble finding a videographer that I loved the style, and also could afford! Then I came across WedIt and the whole idea just drew me in. I am so glad we used this service! We have watched the raw footage hundreds of times and get to laugh at the bloopers and also enjoy and extraordinary highlight reel that was expertly edited. Everyone is shocked when they hear our wedding video was done with I-pod cameras! Thanks for an excellent AND affordable service.

I can't recommend this company enough! We had some family that were unable to make it to our wedding due to some health reasons, but we we still wanted to help them feel like they were a part of the experience. Having a video of our wedding day seemed to be the right option, but MAN are videographers expensive! Wedit seemed like a PERFECT option for us! We still got videos of the day, but for pennies compared to videographers. Our experience couldn't have gone more smoothly. They were extremely easy to work with, answered our questions ahead of time, and the cameras arrived exactly how/when they said they would. After the wedding, they did a great job communicating updates with the editing, and were super receptive to our feedback. They were SO wonderful that I even ended up sending them a box full of thank you cookies - that's how stoked I was on working with them. Overall, the experience couldn't have been better! We ended up "Assigning" two cameras to people with a list of moments we didn't want to miss, then the rest was a free-for-all. Turned out GREAT! What more can I say, capturing that special moment is dear to any bride and groom! But the price isn't always as pretty. WedIt makes it possible to fulfill both dimensions without breaking the bank. Not to mention, a staff that is more than willing to go the extra mile to make you're dream a reality. Great company! We wanted to have video memory of our wedding and when we started looking for videographers, it just wasn't going to be part of our budget. They were extremely expensive. Wedit gave us the memories we loved, our guests enjoyed taking video and pictures on their own. It was perfect! They are extremely responsive to our emails. No complaints here.

We used wedit for our wedding this past October and i cannot say enough good things about this company. We received our itouches on time and with directions. We used them throughout our wedding day, mailed the itouches back the following day and had our raw footages within a week of our wedding - we watched it all on our honeymoon. We decided to purchase an editing package that included the short 3-5 minute video. We got our video back within 2 months and loved every minute of it. We did have a few minor edits which they made without a problem. We got our edited video back within two weeks of our editing request. The quality of the video was so great - it exceeded our expectations.

I emailed with the company multiple times throughout the months leading up to the wedding and a member of the team always responded within a day, if not sooner.

I highly recommend this company. Make sure you follow the directions, give the video cameras out to people you trust to not lose it and take nice video, and you will be so happy with what you get back from Wedit!

A must do for weddings! This service is fabulous and such a great way to document the day. We had a blast video tapping the day, and it was great to have it documented from the point of view of our guests and important people in our lives!

WedIt is a fun, cost-efficient and innovative way to capture wedding memories. We decided to use WedIt after seeing it at another friends wedding. Our guests had a great time taking videos and it was fun to see the raw footage. We ordered the larger package that includes both a short and long form video. We simply did not have enough room in our budget for a videographer on our wedding day but really wanted video to remember key moments, including our ceremony and speeches. After doing some research I found Wedit and decided to try it out. I am so happy we did. We now have wonderful video of everything we wanted from our guest’s perspectives. It’s certainly not professional quality but there is something special and personal about a friend or family member taking the video, they often see something a stranger may not. Wedit was super easy to use and we got our videos back so fast. Definitely a great option if you cannot afford a videographer.

What a fun way to capture video and pictures of your wedding day. Our friends and family were so into our Wedit cameras and they captured so many moments my husband and I missed. It really is neat to see your wedding day through the eyes of your guests, which is definitely what Wedit is able to provide. Plus they work very quickly! Our photos and video were posted online before we even got home from our honeymoon!!

Wedit is a great budget friendly way to capture your special day through the eyes of your guests. I was a bit skeptical at first but after working with Alex from Wedit I can honestly say they are on of my top vendors from my wedding. Alex was extremely responsive and genuinely cared that I loved my wedding video. Their editors are patient and willing to edit anything to make your video exactly how you envisioned it they are also miracle workers in taking bits and pieces from five cameras and making them into a seamless video. The only "drawback" which I shared with Alex & team was the no flash on the cameras-- which they totally listened to customer feedback because they now have cameras with flashes! As a wedding planner, I can honestly say I couldn't be happier with the service and results that Wedit provided. I would recommend to any of my clients & friends.

They did an absolutely fabulous job on our Wedding video. Since our videocamera was lost/stolen that had our ceremony on it, I am so glad we chose to rent from Wedit. Now we still have the ceremony from different angles. The turnaround time was better than expected. The videos were perfect and they worked with me to get them just the way I wanted. I hired this company right after my engagement, not knowing our budget, we were trying to save wherever possible. I heard amazing things about this company and thought that the price was a great value - their editing services were very reasonable as well. I like that they did not try to upsell you on every little thing.
Fast forwarding to today, November 2014 - just 6 months before our wedding, we ended up with the budget to afford a professional videography team (although we wanted to do both - we couldn't afford to keep the wedit cameras as well). I was very nervous that like most companies, they were going to have a very complicated refund process - if I would get my money back at all. Again surprised! They got back to me right away, said it was no problem and put a check in the mail to me that day (they don't keep your credit card info so this is the way they refund you - again, such a great company)! Here is the message I received from their very friendly, and helpful team member Sarah: "We always try to be as flexible as possible. We know this is the biggest day of your life and planning a wedding takes so much time and energy. I hope the rest of your planning goes well. I’m putting your check in the mail today. If you don’t get it please let me know!"

This is a great company who goes beyond providing a service and leaves you feeling happy and appreciated - like every bride should.

My husband and I could not afford to hire a videographer, it just wasn't going to happen, so when I saw WedIt on Pinterest, I was very intrigued. Everything went perfectly. The five iPod touches were delivered to our door several days before the wedding, giving us time to make sure they were charged and all working correctly (which they were), the tags on the cameras made several suggestions of moments to film, and our guests really enjoyed playing with them throughout the day. We had people going around asking for words of encouragement, people taking the long, sweeping shots of the ceremony and reception spaces, shenanigans in the getting ready rooms, the big moments like the first dance or cake cutting. Everything was just great. We shipped back the cameras and less than 48 hours later received the link to all our videos and pictures. Our guests had taken almost 600 pictures and about 175 videos!! It was amazing to see all the behind-the-scenes action that we weren't there for, and to have all that documentation to look through while we were on our honeymoon (and on Cloud 9!). Professional videography and photography has a several week turn-around, so this was a really nice way to get guests involved, save A LOT of money, and be able to have our footage quickly and easily. We can't wait to get our edited video! So excited!

Update: We've received both our highlight and full length videos, and they are PERFECT. The WedIt team worked incredibly well with me to help choose the right clips and songs to use. With the one round of edits, they fixed every little thing I could've possibly nit-picked. They even included a ceremony video that one of our mom's took on her go-pro and our photographer's professional photos. I simply cannot say enough positive things about this company. I would encourage every bride to look into this as a videography option. They are fast, efficient, friendly, and professional.

This was by far the best idea yet! We got all of our pictures and videos back and love that we got to see the wedding from our guests point of view. All of the guests thought this was such a great idea too! We also liked that we got to see a lot of pictures and videos of our friends getting ready/partying before the wedding. We didn't want a videographer because of the price and how in your face they can be so this was the next best thing and we are so happy with the results!

We had a wonderful WedIt experience. During the planning we both decided we weren't into the "camera in our faces all day" kind of videographer, but still wanted some video documentation of our wedding day. WedIt was a wonderful alternative and a way to capture so many moments of the big day. It was fun to get so many different perspectives and see parts of the day we completely missed!! The cameras arrived right on schedule and were easy to use. The customer service was great. They came with a shipping label for easy shipping back. We love our highlight video. They also send you all the still pictures people take on the WedIt cameras, which was a nice surprise! My only advice is to assign a few guests to capture any special moments you want be to sure to have on video. Friends of ours plan to use WedIt for their September wedding because they saw how great it worked for us!

I could not be any happier with my Wedit experience. I mailed the cameras back Tuesday, they received them Wednesday and all of our photos and video footage was uploaded by Wednesday night. We were not sure that those assigned cameras would be able to take the right video during all of the events. After seeing the download of what was filmed, we enjoyed many moments but still lacked the vision of a completed video. However, the editing team at Wedit turned it into an outstanding video! Beyond our expectations. We left it in their hands, including selections of music (with a few notes of special sections we wanted included). I still can't believe how great it turned out! What a great value for this product compared to what we were quoted for a videographer to produce a video. I highly recommend their service, and I am recommending it already to friends.

I loved this platform for video taping our wedding. You had family and friends getting shots that probably wouldn't have been caught otherwise. For the money it was well worth it. One thing to note, make sure all your video tapers listen to directions when they say to hold the camera landscape, I had a lot of clips come back portrait which doesn't yield the best quality it can, but that was a user error!

Loved the service, loved the finished product and loved working with the Wedit team. They were very responsive and made sure to include everything I asked for in my finished videos!

Such an awesome idea! Quick responses to all of my questions. The camera's showed up when they were supposed to and uploaded within 1 day of them receiving them back. I was very pleased with the service I received from Wedit, from start to finish. First of all, the price is right! Then, by the time I returned from my honeymoon, the raw videos were already uploaded!I worked with the Wedit team to put together our highlight reel as well as full length video. I changed my mind several times and the Wedit team was GREAT about making the changes I wanted and working with me. Now I have a fun, candid video of my wedding that will last forever! Based on the location of our wedding (Yosemite) and our budget, we were not able to find a videographer that would work for us. However, Wedit.com was a budget friendly option and it was an AMAZING experience. We were able to hand out the cameras before the wedding and get 5 different perspective of the entire event. All we had to do when we were done was send back the cameras in the box they were delivered in (shipping label was already included). This made having video of our wedding possible and I love that we can look back and see everything from different people's eyes.

I cannot begin to explain how absolutely thrilled we are with our video!! Admittedly, I was nervous about using a product like this, but in the end it is perfect. Good customer service helped my nerves. Friend footage is hard - but somehow they found gems and spliced them together to make a video that's not only legit, but makes me cry when I watch it. We thought we could do without video, that a nice photographer would be enough. I am so, so, so glad I found wedit and trusted them enough - because these are memories I could never have made on my own. The fact that friends and family took it all makes it that much sweeter. Greatest thing ever! This was literally one of the best things I did for myself for my wedding. We were married in Hawaii and some of our family and friends went with us. We all took turns videoing us all throughout the week we had the cameras days before the wedding, the wedding and reception and had a ball with it. I received my cameras exactly when I should have, when I sent them back I immediately got an email saying they received them back ok within just a few days. They had all of my raw footage online for me by the time we got back from Hawaii. Then within just a few weeks they had my edited video that ready and it's so amazing!!!!! I just cannot believe how awesome that was to get and I'm so glad I did. Thank you Wedit team, I love you forever for capturing my moments and turning them into something that I will treasure for a lifetime. It was really easy working with wedit. We got the video cameras a few days before the wedding. We took video at the wedding. We had a couple of friends do video, the only thing I would recommend is to remind them the correct way to hold the video camera, because we forgot and a lot of video came out sideways, which was our error. So that's a bit of a bummer. But then they send you with a pre-labeled address sticker and you mail it back via UPS. The videos were up online while we were still on our honeymoon. Awesome!

I loved the idea of our guests taking the video of our wedding and it was so much more affordable. The only thing I regret is not picking better people to keep the cameras. The people we chose to give them to for the night hardly took any footage.

Oh my god! I was so worried every important detail wouldn't get recorded with my friends being in charge of it. Wow was I wrong! The footage was incredible!! Everyone got every important detail from a different perspective and then some!! Everyone had so much fun with them that we even got the after parties and silly things that we couldn't have gotten with an ordinary videographer. Man I am so happy with my choice to do this!!

Working with Wedit was phenomenal! We weren't able to decide to do this until a week before the wedding, and Wedit figured out how to accommodate us on short notice. I decided to use Wedit as an affordable alternative to a videographer since my wedding budget was already stretched thin. I had no idea how great everything would turn out. When I first received the clips my friends had shot, I was unsure of how everything would turn out. When I received the final video, however, I was amazed at how it turned out. My husband and I could not be any happier with the final product! I love how everything is personalized just for us and was shot by close friends and family. Any correspondence was through email and they were super quick to reply to any questions I had and were very friendly. Can't say that for my other vendors! I highly recommend Wedit and would choose them over a traditional videographer any day!

The service was great. The cameras came on time and were in a nice case. I had a bit of a hard time getting friends/family to be willing to tape the wedding and one of the cameras didn't record at all (??). But the company was great. I haven't gotten my edited video back yet but I have really enjoyed the communication, fast turn around time, and general responsiveness of the company thus far.

I just purchased Wedit's Diamond package and can't say enough good things about them so far. While we haven't actually used the service yet since our wedding is still a few months away, they have been so flexible and accommodating that I have total confidence in the experience we will have working with them and the finished product we will receive. Because every decision in planning a wedding is a big one, I had several questions I needed answered before pulling the trigger. Brett, Wedit's CEO, was VERY responsive and thorough in each reply. What a breath of fresh air. Based on my experience thus far, I would recommend that every engaged couple at least consider using Wedit.

Such a fun and inexpensive way to capture your wedding. The team does an awesome job of creating videos if you choose that option. The camera are basically little iPhones that people can easily carry around all night and capture so many things from your wedding that you might otherwise miss. Definitely worth it!

We used WEDIT last August for our wedding. It was easy to use and we passed the cameras around for our guests to take video all night. I loved using Wedit! It was fun to have 5 friends be a part of our day who weren't in our wedding. They captured so many great moments and had a lot of fun. We received the the cameras in plenty of time and had no issue with them. The only negative was viewing/downloading the videos on their website - which needs more bandwidth. I chose to have them edit a full length version and a 5 minute version of the wedding and both turned out BEAUTIFULLY. They edited them so nicely and you can pick songs for them to use. It was so worth the money and I thought it was great not having another professional there to coordinate. I would recommend them to anyone!

Wedit was the perfect option for us: we knew we wanted a video of our special day, but we didn't need all the bells and whistles- and the price tag- of hiring a videographer.

The service could not have been simpler- they send you the iPods a couple days before with a prepaid label to ship them on back with. Even in spite of the fact that I forgot to let them know we would be taking a few extra days with the cameras to capture some moments on our mini moon, they were so incredibly respectful, understanding, and responsive.

Our video is the sweetest, most treasured little reminder of our day. It came out exactly as I hoped it would. And, we have access to all the footage from the cameras on our wedit account.
Highly, highly recommend.

Absolutely loved the WedIt experience. It was a fun way to capture every special moment of our big day and our guests had fun using the cameras. Much more affordable than a traditional videographer. When I accidentally dropped the cameras in the wrong mailbox after the wedding and they were late to arrive back, the company was more than understanding. We are very pleased with our final product. The WedIt team works with you to create a fun video that is sure to capture every detail. I am definitely recommending this service to family and friends. The only thing I would say that could be improved is lighting on the cameras themselves, some footage later on in the night is darker; but truly overall a wonderful experience.

We rented the flip cameras for our wedding and it turned out to be really great. They are a cheaper alternative and provide a more personal video. However, we only used wedit to rent the cameras. I hadn't realized there was an additional charge to then make the video, so be mindful of that when comparing them to other videographers. Instead, I've been making the video on i-movie and it's been so much fun, so if you're creative and good on your mac, you can easily make your own video. Aside from the confusion about the cost (which is why I gave them a 4.5 instead of 5 on professionalism), the team was very professional and very responsive. The other great thing about wedit is that the video is hosted online, which is a good backup and a fun way to share videos with your friends and family.

Notes and suggestions if you do rent the cameras:
1. We had a friend use one of those octopus arms to mount one of the cameras on our huppah to capture the ceremony. It actually worked perfectly and was very clear, but we only ended up catching the first few minutes of the ceremony since the camera ran out after 30 minutes and we had turned it on too early. So, if you decide to do something similar, have someone hit the power button just before the bridal party walks down the aisle. Luckily we had a few other people in the audience with the cameras so we got multiple angles, which was really cool.

2. Give cameras to different groups of friends and family, otherwise you end up getting clips of a lot of the same people.

3. Assign someone to tape key moments; first dance, cake cutting, toasts, etc.

Exceeded Expectations!

I was hesitant to try this but my bride really wanted a wedding video... When the cameras arrived I was a little nervous that they were iPods, but at least they were easy to use. Then the wedding and ceremony was kind of dark so I was worried about the grainy and dark videos, especially considering they were done by amateurs (if that!). However, the final video was great! It was honestly much better than we even expected. Highly recommended.

So, I was definitely in between getting a videographer or not because I didn’t really feel like I 100% needed one and for the cost it was going to be I decided to look to wedit as the alternative. I have to say that they are a very responsive company that gets back to you quickly and works like a well oiled machine with sending you the ipods/cameras and keeping you updated when you send them back. They also include a return label in the package, so you just need to stick it on the box and send it back. Now, depending on your venue lighting, the videos aren’t amazing, but for what it costs you absolutely can’t beat it. Then you have the option to buy edited videos, which I did and they were very nice!! And again, for the price you can’t beat it. If you are a bride that doesn’t really feel like she needs a videographer and doesn’t want to spend the money on it, but still wants video of the best day of her life, I would highly recommend this company’s service!

This service is as amazing as it sounds! Everything arrived in the time promised, and in great shape. It couldn't have been easier to return and the turn time on photos back was faster then promised. Our guests loved these, but they did need a full explanation table by table before they started to use them, so our reception has tons of coverage, but our ceremony had none. Looking back we should have had the DJ make an announcement up front. It's great to look back at these and to have this footage! A+ would recommend.

The reason we loved wedit was for several reasons:
1. It was less expensive than a videographer
2. You didn't have some strange person in your face all night, instead you had your family and friends with the video cameras having fun and getting RAW footage that you would not get from a stranger
3. You can capture other moments that you normally wouldn't have with a videographer such as the rehearsal dinner, everyone getting ready before the wedding, etc
4. You get to see how the pictures and videos come out before deciding if you want to purchase the editing package
5. The company was very user friendly to deal with. The cameras arrived when they said they would with UPS tracking, they sent prepaid shipping to send the cameras back and we were able to view all footage less than a week after the wedding!

The only issue I had and the reason for less than 5 stars was that the cameras don't have a flash so some of our videos/photos especially later into the night were dark and more difficult to see.
Overall though, this was the perfect way to go and I'm glad we did it! Otherwise we would not have captured some really special moments that you can't quite appreciate the same in pictures!

The wedit cameras were a fun addition the guests really enjoyed. The cameras themselves were Apple iPods that were easy to use and keep handy. While the quality of the video is not the best they were more intended for fun rather than to professionally document the event. Super inexpensive and fun way to keep track of the night. We used WedIt as a camera source for our guests and a DIY photobooth. Overall, Wedit was AWESOME to work with and I would for sure recommend them. They were very responsive, friendly and professional. Our edited clip came very quick and was awesome. It was really put together well and is something I know our family will enjoy. We opted not to do a traditional videographer, mostly because we didn't really think we would view the video later but we are so glad we have this awesome clip as a nice highlight of the day.

If I had one small grip, it would be that I didn't know the initial fee didn't included the editing as well, so we didn't budget for that. It might have been on me for not reading everything but I wish that would have been a little more clear.

Overall, great experience and really good idea for those who don't want the traditional videographer.

You might put a sticker on each camera on which direction to hold the camera for video recording. With so many people using the cameras, not everyone held it correctly resulting in quite a bit of footage we could not use.

Last minute we considered hiring a videographer, but for our destination wedding we thought it would be more fun for our friends to be able to capture their vacation - the entire week. So we handed out the wedits at the welcome reception and everyone had a blast with them! I found wedit online and thought, what a great alternative to hiring an expensive videographer. When I contacted them and booked for my wedding day they contacted me and said that thy had run out of the apples cameras but had the Sony blogies which I was told were the same quality. Honestly, my guests could not figure out how to use these, they were not user friendly and because of that did not get as much footage as we should have. Also, I did not think the quality was that great but I'm not sure if that is due to the fact that the people recording had had one too many, or the cameras. The video edit they made is really nice and they incorporated everything I asked for. They have great customer service I just wish I would have got the cameras I thought I was signing up for.

When it came to wedding planning, I look back and I think Wedit was one of the most unique services that I used on the day of the wedding. My wedding party really loved toting around cameras and telling our story from their point of view. It's much more personalized and I didn't all of the shenanigans that were going on in the background until I sat down and watched my wedit clips.

I had a little trouble with the audio from video compression, but Wedit worked with me to correct it and sent me brand new DVD's. Overall they were really helpful and great to work with.

As a Canadian using this service, I found it challenging to work with Wedit. I had to pick up the cameras from the US and pay extra for customs and shipping the cameras back. I would just suggest that Canadian clients budget for those extra costs when considering this option.

They were extremely nice when they wanted my business but when I found out they had my email address wrong that's when things got tricky with them. They got a little snippy but I guess it's the norm these days with vendors. Customer service isn't what it used to be!

We got the cameras 3 days before the wedding so we got to capture lots of moments we would not have with a normal videographer.

So far our experience with Wedit has been great. The cameras arrived on time and were shipped back to them. We just started the process of reviewing and editing the videos.

It is a cool idea but don't use if you want a really nice wedding video (we weren't even planning on getting a videographer, so this worked for us). First, if you live in Washington DC, it is a pain to use them because their dropdown menu of US states when entering your address and credit card info does not include DC. Seriously?? I even emailed them about this issue and they did nothing to fix it. I eventually had to use my MOH's credit card and address because she lives in VA. They had our videos uploaded in a little over 2 weeks from our wedding, which is pretty fast. But the video quality is not that great for supposedly being HD video cameras. Also, the price only includes the raw footage, not an edited video. So, it's a great deal if you don't care about having a nice wedding video. But if a nice wedding video is important to you, then hire a professional.

You really get what you pay for with Wedits. In theory, it seems like a cheaper, creative approach to capturing all of your precious moments. However, maybe a shaky camera and low resolution video isn't you want to view your wedding when you look back at your special day 20 years from now.

The idea is very cool. They sent 5 iPods to distribute to guests. Unfortunately, more times that often, guests aren't that great at videotaping things. To expect a guest, who is there for the party, to take time to get a video just right is absurd. They probably don't even have a creative eye when it comes to recording. Of course, this is user error but the product itself produces cheap looking videos. My brother recorded an HD video on his smart phone that looked ten times better than the wedits.

Basically, I wasted money on something that I could have achieved with a cell phone.

This was a great way to get a video of the wedding without spending a fortune. My husband and I love the editing that they did on the all the material that they had. It did take awhile to get everything done but it was worth the wait. It was a last minute decision to do the WedIt and we have no regrets!

My husband and were very excited about the wedit cameras, the whole idea is VERY cool! I love how personal wedit makes the video process. Not sure about whether the footage we received can be turned into a neat video yet, but it is still nice to have footage. My only complaint would have to be that the company was really quick to send pushy emails about needing to get the cameras back - it was the day after our wedding and we were still out of town and enjoying our families. We sent them back at our earliest convenience. (2 days after the wedding) We did not receive our footage until we emailed them after over a month had passed without any word...
If I was to do it all over I would still rent the wedit cameras, however I would probably ask a friend to mail them back the day of and I would check up on the footage sooner.

This is an interesting concept of letting your guests videotape for your wedding, but it did not work that well for us. I'm not sure if this is a result of our lighting being low in the venue or if the cameras are just not adequate, but most video clips cannot be used because they are either too dark or blurry. I've been trying to download our video clips from the wedit server, and it is in the quicktime format which is not very compatible with windows 8, so I will have to contact them and order a CD or something.

The customer service is great- we received our cameras a week before the wedding, and one was not working. They replaced the camera sight unseen with overnight delivery. The upload time was also very fast-- our video clips were ready before we returned from our honey moon (less than one week).

I regret this was the only video service we used because I do not have real footage of our event now. If you use the service, make sure your venue is brightly lit and everyone knows to hold the cameras in the horizontal direction and how to focus them.

Very neat idea but it certainly takes some preparation before hand that I don't think we considered! Our wedding reception was outdoors and at night so the lighting wasn't too good for the videos taken. We also thought that our videos would be compiled into one wedding video but instead they were several separate videos uploaded to our unique webpage. Our select guests did enjoy having a camera to capture our special moments on for us to see at the end of the night. We got a great deal on Wedit from Daily Wedding Deals so it was nice to forgo a portion of the funds we could have spent on a videographer on something more personal.

I think this company created a wonderful system for letting the guests film the wedding and have fun with the cameras. The draft video they sent me was very intuitive with what I wanted, and now I am waiting for it to be re-edited. My only complaint is that they are slow in responding to my requests ad the final video has taken at least 2 months for them to complete even though I only wanted a few additions.

This seemed like such a great idea to me, but wound up being quite a waste of money. Since the cameras had no flash at least 80% of the pictures and video were blurry, fuzzy, or otherwise unusable. I suppose if you are having an outdoor daytime wedding only this is a great idea, but for our mostly evening indoor wedding we got maybe 40 usable pictures and a handful of blurry videos for $500 bucks. For the price I wish they would upgrade to include a flash. Interaction with the company was great though, quick and response and easy to download afterwards.

I was really looking forward to using Wedit for my wedding. I loved the idea of having friends and family help create an intimate video for our wedding. A large percentage of people at our wedding are in arts and entertainment, so I was completely confident in their skills and artistry in capturing our wedding. I was disappointed when the package from Wedit arrived and instead of the HD Flip cameras I believed I would get, I opened the box to find 5 iPod touches. Nothing wrong with an iPod touch, but as a an iPod touch owner, I am very aware of the limitations of an iPod touch. I was , therefore, not impressed or surprised by the (lack of) video and photo quality when I got my raw footage. I would have given Wedit 5 stars across the board had I been sent the HD Flip cams they advertise.

I had to ask to make sure that my cameras are shipping. The cameras are really good and easy to use. A month after the wedding and shipping them back, I still haven't heard from them.

Very disappointed with WedIt. Clearly states online that cameras would be HD, or at least actual video recorders. Received iPod touches, which take awful video, therefore the video quality was extremely low. I could have recorded video with my phone, my wife's phone, and some friends' phones and it would have been much better...and free.

If the cameras had actually been what they advertised the review would be a lot better. Would not recommend until they actually send you what they say they will.

What was a good idea in theory turned out differently than planned. The cameras arrived late the night before our wedding and one of the five cameras we were given repeatedly shut off when you attempted to record video. Even our techy friend who was a FlipCam owner couldn't figure it out. The footage was ok, the quality was not what I thought it would be based on the preview videos they share on their website. That being said, we didn't pay for a professional videographer. We got decent quality video that can be edited down into a neat little wedding memories video for us.

Be prepared to pursue them for answers. I would have to send multiple emails and make multiple calls to get a response to questions.

I purchased a basic Wedit package for about 50% off through a weddingchannel.com deal. I'm glad I didn't pay full price for it because I was pretty disappointed. Of course my friends and family loved the idea of DIY videography, but the final product was terrible.

The major issues that I found with the service:
The Flip cameras that you use do not have a flash or light to enhance the picture. So, if you have an indoor reception with low lighting, or dance lights from a dj (like I did), don't expect to get a good well-lit video. Also, the footage that we received was VERY pixelated and very poor video and sound quality.

If you decide to go the Wedit route, I would suggest appointing specific family members and friends that you trust with the cameras because my husband and I found that the cameras got stuck with the same groups of people and did not get a well rounded exposure of the whole reception.

Also, we were required to send the cameras back to the Wedit company on the Monday after our (Saturday) wedding. Because we were already on our way to our honeymoon, my parents had to send the cameras back. By Wednesday I received an email from the company asking where the cameras were. I returned their email by Saturday when we returned and then I did not hear from them again. I had to send them a 2nd email to ensure the cameras finally arrived. A representative finally returned our email and stated that the footage would be uploaded shortly (with no specific date stated).

After 2 months of multiple emails and 3 phone calls, with no responses, I finally managed to reach a rep who explained to me that our footage had not been uploaded because it had been in "que" (for what ever reason) in their system.

After 2 months of waiting for a response only to receive a crappy product was disappointing. Our wedding day was perfect in every way, I wish we could have a good video to show for it. My advice, save money for a pro if you want a decent video.

I was really hoping that this company would work out. Great idea, great price.... but BOY WAS I WRONG. I never received an invoice that they received my payment, i had to email them for that. They never sent me a tracking number when it was sent.... AND the cameras did not get shipped to my house until the FRIDAY before my wedding!! I was frantically calling and emailing them the Wednesday and Thursday before the wedding... nothing. They finally emailed me back about 7 days after the wedding. Their customer service and communication is one of the worst I've ever experienced. Completely unprofessional. I'm starting to wonder if this company is a fraud.... I would NOT recommend this vendor, please spend the money on a real videographer. I'm really regretting that I didn't....

8 months since a video was requested...

Unlike some other reviews I've seen, we did receive the cameras. And we did receive the videos from the cameras. We did however purchase an edited package when we bought before the wedding. I submitted for a video to be made from our compilation the guests took in August and we have yet to see an edited video yet. I've had inconsistent and non-informative contact with Sarah Lee who works for them and that is it.

From the other reviews I've read and my own experience this company is not trustworthy and horrible to work with. Certainly don't trust your special day with them.

Ghosted Bride

I am a bride who utilized this company for her June 6th wedding. I have yet to relieve the edited video I paid for.
I chose the FULL package option to the tune of $899.00 (+ not including taxes and fees). When we returned from our destination wedding (in jamaica) I reached out to the company as I sent the cameras back very quickly. They replied curtly that it takes up to 8 weeks for editing and if anything is needed the editor will reach out (I asked about sending in recording of our vows as that was the only thing not captured on camera).
I have left 5 voicemails (the company claims to return them after 24 business hours THAT'S A HUGE LIE), I have sent MULTIPLE emails (no reply), and now I have resulted in trying to gain attention via other media outlets they advertise on.
If anyone has any suggestions on how I can receive my PAID FOR wedding video or how to begin a case against a business with the better business bueareau I would appreciate it.
I am simply a bride who wants her wedding video. I understand this industry is made on money but the base of it is love stories. No matter what product or service your selling or advertising to brides if you do not understand that simply basis do not get into the wedding business. Weddings are stressful enough and only happen on that day do not RUIN that for a couple by not delivering what is contracted legally and paid for....

Lost Videos -- Poor Communication

My husband and I used Wedit for our wedding videography. Our experience using the cameras during the wedding was easy. Unfortunately, when we mailed the cameras back, UPS lost the package. We now have no video memories from our special day. Trying to work with Wedit to remedy this situation has been AWFUL -- they are very unprofessional. They take MONTHS to respond to our calls/emails and have kept us in the dark about any updates. Our wedding was a year ago, and, although Wedit promised a refund, we have yet to receive it because their communication has been so poor. We will never work with this company again or suggest them to family or friends!
