We had the most amazing experience with Wedgewood Weddings at the University Club in Irvine! From start to finish, everything was beautifully organized, stress-free, and exceeded our expectations. The venue itself is stunning, elegant, and created the perfect atmosphere for our wedding day.
The food was absolutely amazing — so many of our guests complimented the quality, presentation, and how delicious everything was. It truly exceeded what we expected from wedding catering!
A huge special shoutout to Brooklyn, our wedding coordinator, who went above and beyond to make sure every detail was flawless. She was incredibly professional, responsive, kind, and truly made us feel supported throughout the entire planning process. We honestly couldn’t have done it without her!
We also want to recognize Brianna, the banquet captain, for keeping everything running so smoothly on the wedding day. She made sure our guests were taken care of, the timeline stayed on track, and every little detail was handled perfectly behind the scenes.

Best Choice of our Lives!
Our wedding with Wedgewood was hands down an awesome and smooth experience! We initially booked University Club due to how beautiful the venue was when we took the tour. However, what we will always remember is how awesome the people working at the venue were. Our coordinator Brianna made everything so easy during our planning sessions, and on the day of, she took care of us and was always attentive to our needs. Followed by Sebastian and Rodrigo, our captain and DJ, respectively, who continued the party and made it such a fun night for our family and friends. We also want to shout out our officiant Pastor Stan, Coty from Olivia's Mum Floral Design, Kali and Bella, photographers from LMP and Patty’s Cakes, who all played a huge part in making our wedding come to life! We will never forget this day, so thank you again to everyone at Wedgewood for making our wedding day an incredible experience!! The team at Wedgewood’s University Club—especially Lisa, Seth, Brianna, and Chris—was truly phenomenal from start to finish. They were kind, quick, and endlessly supportive throughout planning, always ready with answers and reassurance. Lisa Richcreek guided our rehearsal with warmth and confidence, then brought our wedding-day vision to life with flawless décor, calming care, and incredible attention to detail. She and Seth treated us like royalty, greeting us after the ceremony with champagne, delicious appetizers, and the sweetest touches—including photos from our recessional and a surprise sparkler moment during our first dance that left us with unforgettable memories. The food was outstanding, the staff attentive, and our guests are still raving about the entire experience. My husband and I got married a few weeks ago at the University Club and it was absolutely perfect. To start our venue searching story, we started looking for a venue at the beginning of 2024 hoping to find something for this year. Most of the venues we visited told us they were booked for the remaining of the year and I was pretty devastated. When we arrived at University Club and saw the reception room and the ceremony space, we immediately knew. When it came down to dates available, there was only one left in October, one on Thanksgiving weekend, and one on Christmas weekend. It felt like the stars aligned for us because October was perfect. We locked in that date and the rest is history.
The planning group at University Club helped guide us every step of the way. Every meeting we had with them was very professional, and they reminded us of what we needed to do (i.e. contact recommended florist, cake, photographer, hair & makeup). We went with a few of the recommended vendors and also found our own hair/makeup and photographer. Overall there was very little stress with planning for our wedding because it felt like University Club had most of it planned for us (i.e. the food, the DJ/MC, the ceremony officiant, etc.). I reached out to the planning team via text and email and they were always very prompt to reply.
Some time in July there was an “extravaganza” where a lot of different partner vendors were there and the venue was all decked out with decor and different food samples. This event gave us an idea of what our wedding would look like and we even won a raffle for the love sign on our wedding day!
There were so many delicious food options. Our guests told us that they have never seen so many salads at a wedding and that our wedding was one of the healthiest weddings they’ve ever been to!
On our wedding day, Lydia was our day of coordinator and she was on top of everything. Whenever I needed to find her, she would show up and it was super easy to communicate with her. She walked through all the details with us during the rehearsal and set up everything for us on the wedding day prior to our arrival. Honestly there was nothing we had to stress or think about, everything was taken care of. After Lydia left, Carlos was our banquet captain. He helped us pack up all our items back into the boxes we brought them in the day before and wheeled it out to our car for us. University Club also packed some goodies for us to take home and that was a fun surprise for us when we got home!
I would 100% recommend University Club to any couple wanting a stress-free wedding. University Club is literally the whole package (and more)! -

Our daughter was married this last weekend at the (Wedgewood) University Club on the UCI campus in Irvine, California. Our event was a smashing success thanks to Samantha D and her able, friendly staff. We hosted a party of 153 including several children and two guests in wheel chairs. Samantha’s calm, expert guidance brought everything home for a wonderful and enjoyable landing. Weddings can be stressful with endless surprises and complications and the University Club team handled it all with grace and aplomb. Many thanks!

Amazing Venue and Service
From the first meeting with Fiona to the day of the the wedding, everything was perfect. As a young couple, we knew our budget for a wedding was smaller than most couples; therefore, we needed to select a venue that was within our budget. Wedgewood weddings gave us our dream wedding within our budget! The food was awesome (we had a taco bar which was the best decision ever) and we also had our DJ included into the price of our final statement (which DJ’s can be expensive if you go independently). Everything was perfect!! Thank you to the Wedgewood Team for making our experience amazing (Our wedding was located at the University Club in Irvine) -

This was the best decision we made. The team was there along the whole process. Very organized and detailed. They provide updates and gave us a binder which contained all the details of what we needed to select. Such as food, drinks, decor, flowers, cake, invitations, DJ, lighting. All of it is provided, which was even easier. They have packages to choose from. Everyone was so nice and attentive. We had a day of coordinator, she was there the whole time and made sure everything was on time and ran smoothly. The kitchen staff was amazing aswell. There was a waitress( floor manager) that was assisted to us and she made sure we had food and drinks the whole day. They are a great place for all types of events. -

Easiest decision was picking University Club-Wedgewood
The ease of having an all inclusive venue was very important to us. What really made it amazing was the people who work at our venue and having complete control to customize our package. My wedding was incredibly gorgeous and no detail was missed. I will forever appreciate Wedgewood for making it so easy for us to plan and enjoy our special day. From the day we toured to our wedding day, we were completely taken care of and had zero worries. If we could do it again, we would! -

As soon as we walked onto the property/venue, my now-husband and I were very impressed with the modern atmosphere for the reception and the beautiful beauty of nature/gazebo for the ceremony. And all of this at a great price, as it is customizable to our needs/budget! Another great thing is that we can change our minds on the details of the wedding until our wedding day came closer.
The Wedgwood Wedding team at University Club have been nothing but amazing and accommodating from start to finish, as they answer all our questions no matter how many times I asked. During our scheduled meetings, the team made sure the details were followed to our specific needs. On the day of the wedding, the team (including the Wedding Coordinator and Banquet Captain) went above and beyond in making sure our wedding day went smoothly and perfectly (without us worrying about the small details). They made sure we were taken care of and that the wedding timeline was followed as closely as possible. We love Wedgewood Weddings and we would love to work with them again, as well as recommend them to anyone who wants to get married within budget! -

When we chose wedgewood for our vendor it was on a trip across the country and we knew we would have to find a place that was mostly all inclusive since we live in Kentucky. The experience was more that I could have ever imagined. The staff was so supportive and responsive. All of the small details were handled throughout the planning process and the day of the wedding went off without a hitch! Any problems that arose I never heard or saw them! -

We had our wedding on December 18, 2021 at University Club at UCI. Both of us are associated with UCI and that was one of the reason why we chose this place. Our families are aboard and because of the covid related travel restrictions, all the preparation work are on us. We got our reservation of our ceremony chapel almost a year ago and wasn’t thinking too much about the wedding prep stuff. We found it so overwhelming after we start looking reception venues. Both of us have quite busy schedules and when we realized that we need to figure out a dozen of vendors by our own, we found us hustling and not enjoying the process. During the research we realized that there is a reception venue at UCI and we scheduled a tour and we were so happy that they have all the connections to all the vendors and the process has been simplified greatly. We were basically going through that process with Brooke and Taryn and the vendors referred by them. On the wedding day, we were able to focus on our stuff as Brooke and Taryn was able to work with other vendors, decorate the venue as we’ve designed, and accommodating us dropping of some last minute decorations and picking up our bouquets. Later that day we found us trapped in traffic from the chapel while most of our guests have already arrived. Brooke and Taryn were extremely helpful and kind to adjust the schedules accordingly and we got a really smooth and successful reception. We would like to thank them so much as every single guest told us they were so pleased at the reception. Besides the amazing service they provided, the food and drink was also unbelievably great. All of us loved the food and we were able to get special food for our vegetarian guests and high chair for junior guests. The MC/DJ Gio at the ceremony helped us greatly as well. We got all of our desired music played as we wanted during different scenarios and he guided the transitions between all programs with great energy. Overall, we simply amazed how streamlined the process was tinkered to make our preparation simple and how great the result has became. We would definitely recommend their extremely thoughtful service and helpful staff. My husband Brandon and I absolutely loved our entire experience with Natalie and Olivia. They were very helpful throughout the whole planning process and even on the day of our wedding. Living in Virginia but getting married in California can be challenging to plan but they made it feel like we were in California planning our wedding. They were very responsive to our emails and helpful when we had questions. The entire staff the day of were also wonderful to work with. They had appetizers for us when we were taking our family photos and then also after we were done with our pictures. Taryn our buffet captain was great making sure we always had food and desserts at our table. We would definitely book them again for more events in the future. -

My Husband Andrew and I booked our wedding with the University Club back in November/December 2019 for October 2020. We loved the venue instantly because it was modern looking, we loved the windows and the chandelier, and it had all the services we were interested in with an all-inclusive package.
Around June 2020, it became extremely apparent to us that we were not going to get to have our wedding due to COVID-19. The venue, specifically Robyn and Kevin, worked so much with me to helped me pick a new date in July 2021, and was comforting and made me feel so much better about it even though my wedding was still 5 months away.
When the time came to start planning my July 2021 wedding, I was working with probably the 3rd different person at the venue, but everyone was so sweet, including Natalie and Olivia. I'm sure they would agree that I am a bit of a Bridezilla when it comes to planning out every detail, spreadsheets, etc. and they were always accomodating to my requests and all my unique decorations. I wanted to come earlier than normal to setup because I felt comfortable having that in my own hands and there were sooo many decorations and they allowed me to do so.
It was actually the wedding day that threw me completely over the top with my experience here. From always having drinks and food ready for Andrew and I, to keeping me company in the Bridal Suite and helping me change, to fluffing my dress for me before the event, Oliva and Danielle were AMAZING. They had a drink in my hand before I even knew I wanted one! Honestly completely surpassed my expectations on being there for me the day of, and Olivia and Danielle definitely went beyond their job duties to help me put on my shoes and get dressed. Also a special shoutout to Mason & his crew for being awesome the entire event and the clean-up.
I've received a ton of reviews that this was the most fun wedding my guests have ever attended, DJ Gio was freaking awesome, the food was amazing, and that overall the venue was gorgeous. Andrew and I paid for the entire wedding basically alone and I can say it was worth every single penny. Best night ever.
Forever grateful to the Wedgewood Staff and I wish I could relive this experience with them over and over! I look forward to my 20 year anniversary party with them! :) -

I was first referred to Wedgewood by a family friend and now, they are at the tip of my tongue when it comes to recommendations! Hailey was a godsend in helping us coordinate our wedding (especially when I forgot to order flower baskets and petals and only realized right before we walked down the aisle). The entire staff is so helpful and pleasant, even the security, and in light of the whole COVID 19, Wedgewood very graciously worked with us as our plans were thrown into uncertainty. I could not recommend them more! -

I am so pleased that I chose Wedgewood University Club as our wedding venue. First, the venue itself is simple yet elegant, fresh (rebuilt in 2018), charming and cozy. I cherished that we had the entire venue to ourselves; I was avoiding a hotel wedding, I've been turned off by weddings where guests are stuffed in a random hotel banquet room with no windows, or in a garden or patio exposed to random passing hotel guests.
The staff were so helpful in planning the wedding. They were quick to respond to any questions and flexible in making changes throughout the planning process. I also loved that there are vetted vendors that are included in the package; I did not want to meet with dozens of florists, bakers, DJs, caterers, coordinators, security, etc. like other venues make you do the full-time job of vetting and hiring vendors.
The outdoor garden with the gazebo is charming, and I loved the openness yet safe, secluded feeling of the premises for our Saturday evening wedding. We held our reception in the banquet room, with expansive windows overlooking the garden, tress sparkling with strings of light.
We had so many guests commenting with the words "elegant, charming, and cozy" when they talked about the venue.
Also, extra thanks to DJ Gio that was part of the "included" vendors. He did so much great work to make our party great. I appreciated your playing many of our requests, as well as feeling the crowd—a huge mix of different genres and songs from around the world— and keeping people dancing all night.

Wedgewood is absolutely amazing! The staff was friendly, organized, and went above and beyond to make my day the best. My wedding coordinators displayed fast communication and answered any questions I had. They really helped carry out our vision right down to every detail. I looked at 18 venues before touring and booking the WW University Club. This newly renovated venue is absolutely gorgeous. Kevin and Marissa have great energy and made me feel like they were just as excited for my wedding day! Hayley was available for any and all questions both big and small. We are both anteaters, so it was a lot of fun pre-celebrating the wedding at a place we both know and love so well. The U Club is a great venue even if you aren't a UCI Alum - we (by that I mean my amazing mother-in-law and two sister-in-laws) did an amazing job decorating, and they even had a whole A/V system set up for a (rather embarrassing) slide show. Parking was a breeze, food was great - buffet style, and the staff were wonderful. It was a really fun night! -

They have the outdoor grassy area with a beautiful white gazebo (As the bride, I personally loved the LONG walkway too). And then guests can step right inside the venue for cocktails in the library room. This room is nice and cozy with a fireplace, a grand piano, and a full bar. Then you get your reception room with elegant lighted drapes on the ceiling and one side of the room is just glass (with the lighted trees outside, it makes the room look so romantic at night). UCI Club also gives you the option to place colored uplights to the corners of the room (we chose blue lights!).
But most of all, my husband and I were absolutely fortunate with Cindy, the wedding coordinator there. The first time we met her we could tell she had plenty of experience with weddings and then on our wedding day, she exceeded our expectations. She was on-spot every moment, took care of everything and everyone!, the timing was together, always assured us on what's to come next, even put our candy station together just as we wanted. Shes super nice and made the day so easy for us.
I would recommend this place to all future brides! You won't regret it. -

Jennifer Sent on 12/01/2009Ok let me first say that, as a bride, I am a self-professed wedding hater. The entire engagement (one year) I complained to my fiance that I didn't want a wedding, I wanted to just go to City Hall and sign papers. I figured for the price of a wedding we could travel the world.
But my fiance insisted that we do a proper wedding, so we went to find a venue. After searching and searching and coming up waaaaaay too expensive, we found UCI club. It was like a weight was lifted off our shoulders. Cindy, the wedding coordinator there, was so helpful and sweet, I couldn't have imagined doing this without her.
Our wedding was November 7, 2009......and it was the greatest night of my life. I, the one who hates weddings, now realize that City Hall would be a mistake. The UCI club put on a wonderful wedding for us, and Cindy is such a perfectionist that everything was impeccable. Even when we ran into problems with our other vendors (our DJ was a nightmare), Cindy had the attitude of "I got this, don't worry, go take your pictures and have fun." It was such a relief.
Everyone said it was the best wedding they had ever been to. And it was the greatest time my fiance and I have ever had. When we think about that day, we become sad that it's over. Thank you Cindy and Club staff for everything! -

Jacqui and Cindy are knowledgeable, experienced, organized, flexible, and willing to work with your vision for your wedding day. There are lots of delicious menu options for appetizers and entrees, all at a reasonable price. Irvine weather is moderate and beautiful year-round, making the University Club a bright and airy space for outdoor and indoor receptions. We held our cocktail hour outdoors and lunch reception indoors. -

I had my dream wedding thanks to Wedgewood!
University Club by Wedgewood gave me my absolute dream wedding! I was a very nervous bride, thinking about everything that could possibly go wrong, but the planners at Wedgewood really helped guide me through the process! They were all so professional and accomodating, there were only a few small details that I had to cover on my own. Otherwise, they provided everything I needed. We even had our DJ quit at the last minute and they found someone else who did an incredible job!
They also let me bring in an In and Out truck, which was a huge hit. All of our guests had an incredible time. Special shout out to Shy Heart Studios for capturing some incredible shots as well. Best Day Ever! -

Can't wait to do it again!
March 2020:
We first fell in love with this venue because of it's nice outdoor ceremony area and clean, modern reception area. What further helped us decide on this location was the all inclusive package that eliminated much of the headache of having to find your own vendors but was also flexible enough to be customized how we wanted it to be.
The night before our wedding we made the hard decision to postpone our wedding reception due to concerns over COVID-19. Hailey and Kevin were very understanding and we appreciate that they able to pivot with us and helped facilitate a simple ceremony at the venue and reschedule the big celebration until next year. We can't wait to come back and celebrate again!
June 2021:
We were able to have our vow renewal and reception this year and it was perfect! While CA was in the process of opening up again, we made some changes to have the reception outside. And while we originally chose this venue for the indoor reception, everything outside was beautiful. We have no regrets. Everything went smoothly, food was delicious, the DJ was great and Natalie and Kevin were a pleasure to work with. Thanks for everything! -

The food is delicious and the venue really cleans up to dazzle you, it was truly beautiful. It was awesome that they had their own kitchen and staff, so it becomes your one stop shop for food, service, alcohol, venue, ceremony location, and wedding coordinator. -

Lily Sent on 10/27/2010Cindy ROCKS!! She gets 5+ stars!! Cindy is incredibly responsive, bubbly, helpful , patient, and happy. What a joy to work with her. We originally had booked a different place, but it was so miserable working with that venue (e.g. they were unresponsive to phone calls or emails, shady as to what the costs would be, kept on changing their minds on what we could bring in, etc.), that we decided to go with the UClub kindof last minute (6 months before our event).
We can't say enough good things about Cindy. She was extremely patient in helping us figure out the best deal for us. She also was good about giving us suggestions for vendors. For any issues that we had, Cindy was quick to fix or help.
The UClub is seriously the best deal in OC. For someone on a budget, you can't beat it. And for someone who doesn't want their wedding to look like it was on a budget, you can't beat it either!
The UCI campus is not particularly near or dear to our hearts (i.e. we weren't students there). But, the architecture makes for some really awesome photos. We met with our photographer a month or two before our wedding to walk around campus and come up with some cool backgrounds, etc. There are also lots of trees and nature-y type shots available for the more traditional photos.
The UClub food is middle of the road. No one will remember it (for being either stellar or horrible). There is a lot to choose from, and it all tastes good. (We're a bit foodie, so most people probably don't care about food as much as we do).

Pros:
-Strong teamwork and adaptability demonstrated within the team.
-Commendable instances of proactive involvement from team members.

Cons:
-Inconveniences caused by unexpected personnel transitions highlighting the need for proactive succession planning.

The communication reliability within the planning team has been highlighted as a significant challenge, notably evidenced by the last-minute cancellation of a crucial meeting. This abrupt change, communicated via text message just before the conclusion of business hours, not only disrupted schedules but also indicated a lack of respect for everyone's time and efforts.
Another area of concern is the management of personnel transitions within the team. The unexpected promotion of a team planning member, a key member responsible for day-of coordination, posed logistical challenges and inconveniences for clients who had specifically requested her services. While her advancement showcases her capabilities, it also highlights the need for proactive succession planning and cross-training among team members.
Despite these challenges, there were commendable instances of teamwork and adaptability within the planning team. For example, the proactive involvement of Karey, the general manager, in assisting with meeting planning, despite her usual role, demonstrates a collaborative spirit and dedication to customer service. While there were initial hiccups due to Karey's unfamiliarity with planning duties, her willingness to support the team's efforts is commendable.University Club by Wedgewood Weddings's reply:

Frustrating
This review is for my day of coordinator Echo. In my opinion, she lack the experience of being a coordinator for weddings. The venue itself was beautiful. Echo did a terrible job coordinating the rehearsal and the day of the wedding. For the rehearsal we wanted to discuss the grand entrance and all the wedding details so we didn't have to stress about it the day of. Echo told us that we can plan for grand entrance on our wedding day. She didn't listen to what we wanted and did a poor job organizing. I emailed a list of the wedding party with everyone's names weeks prior but Echo and her team "lost the email".
On our wedding day our parents did not get announced for the grand entrance, the parents were not pulled up to make the entrance at all. This was discussed with Echo prior.
Minutes before the ceremony was supposed to start she asked me where my officiant was, if I had his number and if we used their vendor. In her words "he was missing". She made me extremely nervous and stressed even more on top of what I was feeling. It was very unprofessional, she definitely made my anxiety level go through the roof.
One of the reasons why we decided to go with Wedgewood is because of their all inclusive packages. It should have been known that we've ONLY used everything (vendors) that was provided from them. I asked Echo multiple times to place our party favors and thank you gifts out for our guest. She reassured me that she would place it out by the end of the night. At the end of the night, sure enough all my party favors and thank you gifts were still placed in a box and were never placed
displayed out. I would expect her to stay until everything was taken care of but she left the wedding early. Half of my picture frames that I brought to the venue are STILL missing. It took a lot of effort and money to print out pictures from our engagement photos from Italy, that I wanted our guests to see but they were never brought out and was given to Echo the day before.
We put so much time, thought and effort into every detail of our wedding. I waited my whole life for this day and Echo left us with sour memories. We feel no amount of money could make up for how she made us feel and the amount of stress and anxiety that she brought. It's unfortunate because if it wasn't for such a terrible experience with Echo we would have had a great wedding. I recommend this venue but not the coordinator!
For someone who has done “hundreds of Wedding” as a minor detail, she put together my seating chart and put our envelopes stickers on at bottom of our cards, seems intentional to me. We have been nothing but kind to her. But with our whole experience with her she seems loss.
