Wedgewood Weddings at The Headquarters Reviews

My husband and I are local to San Diego and toured around 15–20 venues before finding Wedgewood Weddings at The Headquarters. We immediately booked a tour and completely fell in love.
From the pre-coordination to seeing everything come together on our wedding day, we truly could not have asked for a better experience.
Our coordination team — Emma, Nat, and Petr — spent hours with us leading up to the wedding, making sure we understood our options and helping us incorporate the personal touches that mattered most.
Our day-of coordinator, Jasmine, was amazing! Although we hadn’t had our previous planning meetings with her, she came into our rehearsal knowing exactly what was on our list and executed everything exactly as we had planned. We never felt like we needed to explain or worry about anything.
The handoff to our banquet captain, Brynne, was equally seamless. She made sure our late-night ramen bar came to life and, at the end of the night, led her team in helping our family pack everything up.
Our DJ, Mik from DJ Maestro, was even better than we imagined. Multiple guests told us it was one of the best wedding DJ experiences they’d ever had, and the dance floor was incredible all night!
We also used Moments in Bloom and True Photography, two of Wedgewood’s partnered vendors. Our bouquets, centerpieces, and ceremony arch were exactly what we envisioned, and our photo/video team made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera.
The venue itself was beautiful, and our guests could not stop talking about how unique it was — especially the downstairs bar! We had around 150 guests and never once felt like the space was cramped or crowded. There was plenty of room to move around, dance, and enjoy the night, so it can absolutely handle a larger crowd.
The food was great, and the service was incredibly smooth. Even with friends who know how to enjoy a good open bar, there was never a line!
The location was another huge plus. We debated having an outdoor ceremony because outdoor photos were really important to us, but we ended up loving the indoor ceremony space. Our photo team walked with us down to the water afterward, so we still got the sunset photos we had dreamed of. We also booked our hotel block at the Hyatt, and our guests loved how close and convenient everything was.
If you are looking for a venue and team that will be there for you throughout the entire planning process and make sure your wedding day comes together exactly as you envisioned, look no further than The Headquarters. My husband went on two deployments while we were wedding planning, so I knew from the beginning that I wanted a venue with a team that would provide a lot of support throughout the process. We truly could not have asked for a better group of people to work with.
We cannot say enough wonderful things about Wedgewood Weddings at The Headquarters. They supported us from the beginning of planning through the very end of our wedding night, and we would choose them all over again.

We had such an amazing time and are so happy that wedgewood was a part of our special day. It was everything we envisioned and more! Petr went above and beyond for us, from coordinating with my family members, our musicians, to fixing my dress and veil prior to walking down the isle—(UHM HELLOO PETR GOT THE MONEY DIP KISS SHOT THAT MY PHOTOGRAPHER MISSED a thats priceless!!!!) , Brynn was there every step of the way from opening the doors during the ceremony , gathering all the items lost and found and coordinating with the burrito vendors for late night bites. (: Our bartender!!!- I forgot his name but there was NEVER a line at the bar!! Shots were always ready and not once did he bat an eye! We love you guys so much. 100% would do it again!! Literally the BEST DAY OF OUR LIVES. We are so glad we chose headquarters- I was stressed, but after the rehearsal - I felt so grounded and ready to marry the love of my life.

Tbh, the other Wedgewood venues have NOTHING on the headquarters!! When we got to visit the presidio venue- we loved the location, but not the venue. - at that moment we knew we chose the right venue. Headquarters is the best location, most convenient for guests with limited mobility and that’s #1 reason we chose headquarters. - my grandma who is 92, grandpa Bennie 90 and cousin Don-Don who is wheelchair bound with down syndrome were all comfortable and safe. I was also amazed by how the outside cocktail area transformed from when we initially toured the venue, we spend a lot of time in nature, some days I was regretting we didn’t have a nature based outdoor wedding (we also didn’t want to worry about the possibility of the weather afffecting our guest experience- it was raining when we toured headquarters), but I was pleased to be able to get fresh air and still have the same vibe outside. Trying to think if there could have been anything that could have done differently..maybe clearing the bridal suite after cocktail hour of the food/drinks?! I was a bit nauseated from the smell of the tuna that was left out, but as soon as we asked the staff - it was cleared and bussed right away. Ohhh also we would have liked to know about the jail cells and exhibit so we could let our guests know to check it out! But we saw it in our own walking around! Two days after the wedding! Soo cool!! The lobo lighting was so underwhelming, but that was the band and not you guys (they did the right thing and focused on the music vs centering the light 🙃- as they should- they killed ittt) 😭
Of course everything can’t be perfect, but it was imperfectly perfect!!!

We’re so thankful to Emma for keeping us organized throughout the planning process and helping us every step of the way. And we seriously cannot thank Jasmine & Petr enough. They were genuinely the sweetest, kindest people and made us feel so taken care of. Even with unexpected changes happening throughout the day, they handled everything so calmly and made sure our vision still came to life exactly how we hoped.

We were definitely nervous leading up to the wedding and had all those little worries about how everything would come together, but the day ended up being so perfect. We were able to be present, enjoy every moment, and just take it all in because we knew we were in such good hands.

Celebrating my 50th birthday at Headquarters by Wedgewood Weddings was nothing short of magical. The food was exceptional—beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. The bar service was equally impressive, with attentive bartenders and perfectly crafted drinks throughout the evening. Every aspect of the event felt effortless because the team had thought of everything.

The true stars of the evening, however, were the extraordinary people who brought it all to life. My deepest gratitude goes to Emma, Sam, Nat, Jasmine, Jahn, Kendra, and Perfecto. Each of you played such an important role in making my milestone celebration feel so special. Your warmth, attention to every detail, genuine hospitality, and commitment to excellence made us feel completely cared for from beginning to end. Our wedding was absolutely incredible, and we couldn't have asked for a more perfect experience from start to finish. Every single detail was thoughtfully executed, and the entire team made us feel so cared for throughout the planning process and on our wedding day.

A huge thank you to our amazing wedding planners, Petr and Bri from Wedgewood. They kept everything running seamlessly, answered every question we had, and made what could have been a stressful day feel completely effortless. We also have to recognize Brynn, our banquet captain, who ensured everything flowed perfectly behind the scenes. Their professionalism and attention to detail were second to none.

The entertainment was unforgettable thanks to DJ Maestro. Mik absolutely understood the vibe we wanted and kept the energy exactly where it needed to be all night long. The addition of the cellist during our ceremony was stunning and made the entire experience feel so elegant and memorable.

The florists completely exceeded our expectations. They created the most breathtaking floral arrangements, including a gorgeous flower chandelier that truly became a centerpiece of the room. The creativity and craftsmanship were beyond anything we could have imagined.

Our cake from Violet Cakes was both a work of art and incredibly delicious. Malissa designed the most beautiful three-tier cake adorned with fresh flowers, and our guests couldn't stop talking about how amazing it tasted.

Finally, we have to give the biggest shoutout to Nico and Paul from True Photography. They were an absolute dream team. They made us feel comfortable in front of the camera, were endlessly patient, and worked together so seamlessly that it was obvious how talented they are. We honestly can't wait to see our photos because watching them work gave us so much confidence that they're going to be spectacular.

We truly had the wedding of our dreams, and we're so grateful to everyone who made it possible. If you're considering this venue, don't hesitate—you'll be in the best hands possible!

It’s hard to put into words just how magical our wedding day was at The Headquarters by Wedgewood Weddings. From the moment we first visited, we felt something special about this place, and that feeling only grew as we planned our day with their incredible team. Even though we were only the third wedding ever hosted at this brand-new venue, everything went perfectly. You would have never known how new it was because everything was seamless and exceeded every expectation we had.

Emma, our coordinator, was truly the heart behind it all. She was calm, organized, and so thoughtful every step of the way. She guided us through the planning process and made sure the entire day ran smoothly so we could truly relax and soak it all in. Janae and the sales team were also wonderful, answering every question with patience and genuine excitement, which made the whole experience feel easy and enjoyable.

On the day itself, the banquet team of Nat, Cody, and Aaron completely blew us away. The food was delicious, the service was flawless, and so many of our guests commented on how cared for they felt. Their kindness and professionalism created such a warm, joyful atmosphere that we will never forget.

Our wedding day was everything we dreamed of and so much more. It was joyful, heartfelt, and unforgettable, and we owe so much of that to the amazing team at Wedgewood Weddings. If you’re thinking about hosting your wedding here, do it. Even as one of the very first couples to celebrate at this venue, we felt like we were in the best, most caring hands. It was pure magic from start to finish.

We looked at all the venues in town.. Wedgewood at the headquarters was just being built. It looked like it might have been out of our budget but we inquired anyway and thank god we did!!!

Janae was an absolute dream to work with! She made me feel so comfortable while everything was being finalized. She listened to every concern, took care of every detail, and was always quick to check in and respond. Truly, she was the cherry on top that made the venue experience even more special.

The food was incredible—our guests couldn’t stop raving about how delicious and generous the portions were. Our DJ Kyon completely nailed the music! He kept the dance floor alive all night, and everyone had the best time celebrating. Our wedding reception couldn’t have been more perfect.

Our wedding isn’t until 2026, but when I tell you the amount of professionalism, effectiveness and kindness our planner Janae has showed us, has been nothing short of amazing. We’re very excited to tour the space and Janae has made everything so easy thus far.

Although our wedding hasn’t happened yet, we couldn’t wait to share how thrilled we’ve been with our experience so far with The Headquarters! From the very beginning, the team has been phenomenal, Taylor and Janae’s professionalism and communication has made the entire process smooth and stress-free thus far.

A special shoutout to Taylor, who played a huge role in helping us feel confident about booking a venue still under renovation. Her years of experience with Wedgewood and new venue openings reassured us that their blueprints and mock-ups are always spot-on with the final product—and it’s easy to see that this space is going to be stunning.

We were specifically looking for a venue that felt unique and special, something fresh that none of our friends or family had used before. Choosing The Headquarters was a leap of faith, but the team’s attention to detail and their ability to keep us in the loop has us beyond excited for our big day.
