We loved Wendy

Weddings Your Way came highly recommended by our venue, Timberlee Hills, and absolutely did an amazing job. We were so lucky to have Wendy as our officiant for our wedding. She created a beautiful ceremony for us and handled our special day with such love and care. Wendy was highly communicative and professional as well throughout the entire process. 10/10!!!

Truly YOUR Way!

Wendy was terrific! She truly created a Wedding that was, as her company name says, OUR way. She was super flexible in our unique ideas, and created such a warm and terrific atmosphere at the ceremony itself. Laughs, tears, and love were abundant.

Dale was very personal and thorough

Dale was awesome. He provided such a genuine experience and took his time to get to know my wife and i in order to provide the best service that he could. He tailored his speech to our specific requests and made it a personalized experience. Wedding date of 9/5/2022.

Perfect wedding

Lynne is wonderful sh wrote personalized wedding vows for us that were perfect,her daughter takes pictures which is awesome,we married under a pergola with a view of the ocean it was perfect.She is very reasonably priced to fit anyone's budget. She meets with you before hand to get a feel of what you are looking for.We couldn't have picked a better wedding officiant. Absolutely made our Wedding Day special.

A big thank you to Wendy for officiating our Wedding. She was wonderful and made our ceremony special. This was a destination wedding so we actually didn't get to meet Wendy until the day of our Wedding on the Beach in Empire. It was the perfect place for our small ceremony with family and a few very close friends. Thank you for making our Wedding special for us!

Small Destination Wedding

Wendy was amazing to work with! ***HIGHLY RECOMMEND*** I live 4 hours from the location in which our wedding took place. Wendy was able to help me find a venue, cake, photographer, etc. Via email and phone over only a couple month time span! During our planning process a large medical issue occurred putting us under more stress. Through that whole process she was so patient and kind helping in whatever way she could to alleviate stress. By the end of the process we consider Wendy a friend and amazing person. We were so lucky to have her marry us!

Stress Free and Perfect

Weddings Your Way made our whole ceremony process easy and stress free. Wendy performed our ceremony and it was exactly what we could have hoped for. With a few face to face meetings and phone calls Wendy was able to create a personal ceremony for us. She submitted our paperwork and directed the rehearsal to make the whole weekend as stress free as possible. I highly recommend Weddings Your Way if you are looking for someone to perform your ceremony in Northern Michigan!

Wonderful!

We worked with Taylor, and she was nothing but Fantastic :) right off the bat she was invested in our wants/needs for the ceremony, and she tailored everything to what we wanted! She also had some wonderful recommendations / ideas and we loved them all! Lots of compliments received after our ceremony on how beautifully she spoke as well :) we highly recommend these guys, they’re great!

For a Beautiful Ceremony

Wendy was our officiant for our September 2018 wedding. She was the first person we met with and instantly knew that we wanted her to be a part of our wedding day - Wendy seemed genuinely excited for us and had some great options for the ceremony. We worked together before the ceremony to make it exactly what we were looking for. Wendy did a fantastic job on writing our ceremony, it turned out beautifully! She attended our wedding rehearsal which helped to make every run smoothly! Wendy was very professional, yet heartfelt at the same time - I would highly recommend her!

Wendy was great from the start to the finish. She really helped make our amazing day great. She performed a wonderful service for our wedding. My new husband and I enjoyed her and so did our guests. We had never meant Wendy prior to our rehearsal but it felt as if we knew her for a long time. Your wedding day is suppose to be one of the best days of your life and ours was. My husband and I had a small wedding (35 people) on a beach at Sleeping Bear Dunes, and we wanted an officiant who would keep the ceremony light-hearted and simple, but meaningful. Wendy did exactly that. When we spoke to her on the phone before hiring her, she was very attentive to our requests and answered all of our questions honestly. We met her in person once before the actual ceremony, and she took notes and was very responsible about all our little requests and questions. She complied with everything we asked for, and surprised us at the ceremony by giving an extremely lovely and sincere talk about marriage. Her words did not seem generic at all, but rather that she was speaking directly to us from the heart. Everyone was sniffling and laughing throughout the whole ceremony. Wendy also offered some really creative and cool ideas, and the one we chose is now a tradition we plan to uphold for the rest of our lives. I highly recommend Wendy to couples in search of a responsible, friendly, and wise officiant who genuinely loves her job. My husband and I are very thankful to have met her and will remember her participation in the happiest day of our lives with great fondness. Thank you, Wendy!! :)

Wendy was so easy to work with throughout our wedding planning! The ceremony was beautiful and just perfect for what we wanted. We got married at Black Star Farms (6/30/18) and had the option of a “wine” ceremony through Wendy but chose not to add this in as it was 94 degrees out that day! I would definitely check out the wine themed ceremony-especially if you're getting married on a vineyard- it was just too hot for us! I think our guests appreciated a short and sweet ceremony :) Choose Weddings your way; You wont be disappointed!

We used Weddings Your Way to book our clergy services for our big day. The owner Wendy Hutchinson was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. She introduced my husband and I to Reverend Alan Strange. He was simply amazing. He was extremely helpful in every step of the planning process. Reverend Alan would contact in the method that worked best for us, he was available through e-mail, phone, text - which was great! He'd check in periodically to ensure the planning process was going smoothly. Reverend Alan put our mind at ease, from the moment we met him. Our guests complimented us numerous times on our ceremony... We couldn't be happier with our choice. Thanks so much Reverend Alan :)

Our experience working with Wendy was excellent! She made every step of the way easy for us and we couldn't have been happier with the result. We used Weddings Your Way for our wedding in Traverse City. We asked for a recommendation from our contact at our wedding site location, and she recommended Wendy from Weddings Your Way.

We had an initial email exchange and then signed up with Wendy. Wendy was very flexible about how much or how little time we wanted to spend planning the wedding. Since we were from out of town and were having a smaller wedding, we wanted to make it quick and easy and handle most of the discussion via email. We emailed her a few months in and she was very flexible in meeting with us when we were in town for a visit. We planned our wedding at that visit, and the remaining time we emailed.

Wendy made sure to find out what type of wedding we wanted. She was all about making our wedding customized our way. She provided lists of example vows and ring verses for us to chose, or we could customize our own. She was open to religious or non-religious weddings. She was also flexible with the rehearsal. Since we were doing a wedding at a location she is very familiar with, we opted out of the rehearsal, which allowed us to save some money.

The wedding was beautiful, and Wendy did a great job. She was very positive and professional. The tone was just right for our wedding. After the wedding she provided us with a folder that contained a copy of our wedding ceremony. All the license paperwork was handled quickly.

All in all I would highly recommend Wendy. I know she does a lot of weddings, so she has a lot of experience. Our experience was very positive.

I would absolutely recommend this service to people who are looking to create their own unique ceremony with the help of seasoned industry professionals. Nancy Corey (aka Taylor) was our officiant, and we could not be more thrilled with our ceremony. She was incredibly patient and receptive to us - and gave us the (many) pushes we needed to get everything we needed for the ceremony done on time! We had a lot of things that we wanted - and didn't want - and she not only took those into consideration, but also suggested several beautiful sections that we incorporated and fell in love with as well. We were able to meet with her twice in person before the ceremony, which was lovely. Communicating with her and Wendy was always easy, and we are so happy that she was such an important part of our wedding day. We could not be happier. Wendy was a great officiant. She was incredibly professional and you can tell she has a ton of experience marrying couples. We appreciate everything Weddings Your Way has done for us. Reverend Corry Volchoff was our officiant and she did such a perfect job. She was open to our wishes and incorporated everything to make a beautiful ceremony. She even helped us and gave us suggestions because we were absolutely ignorant about weddings and what to do. I was contacted almost immediately following my inquiry. We arranged a meeting in our home and found that a very special person was picked to officiate for us. She was personable, compassionate, professional and caring. She created the most personal, beautiful wedding ceremony for us. We were allowed to make any changes we wanted and able to add our own vows. Many of our friends and family commented on what a personal and unique ceremony we had. I don't think there was a dry eye! It was absolutely amazing and we are so thankful Reverend Corry Volchoff came into our lives.

Alan Strange was great. Not knowing the person who is going to marry you until the night before can be stressful but all of the phone calls and e-mails made us feel confident and comfortable. Alan did a great job and rolled with the punches even after our best man presented a joke ring.

Taylor was the perfect fit for us and our wedding. She took the time to meet with us before our wedding and plan a ceremony around who we are and include our family which was important to us. Wendy is fantastic! We had a destination wedding to Michigan and despite never getting to meet Wendy ahead of time in person due to our schedules in Ohio, she absolutely NAILED our ceremony! It was absolutely beautiful! She incorporated what we wanted along with her own special touches that really made the ceremony just perfect. We couldn't imagine our day without her! Wendy was AMAZING!! She was so excited to be a part of our day! She made the ceremony so comfortable and enjoyable for us and our guests. She did everything exactly how we wanted! She also helped us with giving us several different prayer examples as well as vows to choose from as we did not want to write our own.

As a secular couple, we had many unique preferences for our ceremony and found that Wendy was eager to oblige. She is someone who works to make a couple's vision come to life as opposed to slotting a ceremony into a prepackaged script. We found that she was full of ideas to make our ceremony more memorable and personal. Her ceremony language was inventive and she has a unique command of the ceremony audience using pauses and humor to inject the perfect balance of love and joviality into the occasion. Wendy was incredibly flexible when it came to working with us long distance. We would highly recommend her to anyone!

My husband and I had the pleasure of working with Rev. Alan Strange. He was wonderful to work with! He took the time to talk to us as a couple and learn about our history. From there, he worked in the foundations that we needed for our ceremony and bounced ideas back and forth with us to create an emotional and unique ceremony to fit us. He was so sweet and you could tell he really cared about us and making sure our ceremony was everything we wanted it to be. He was so patient with us when making plans and always offered wonderful suggestions!

Wendy is professional and caring. During our in-person meetings, she was attentive and an active listener. She asked us about our history, our ideas and our beliefs and also gave suggestions and advice on how to pull it all together. Wendy also followed up with prompt emails to let us know what we had discussed and sent us documents with examples of of vows and of wedding ceremony ideas. She has many contacts in the Traverse City area, and was a tremendous help in finding a professional harpist for our ceremony. Wendy is a wonderful person & has a sweet sense of humor. This probably wouldn't have been considered a typical marriage ceremony - we were childhood sweethearts, reconnected later (much!) in life - I was separating from my then-husband & had 2 older children; he had been in the navy & never married before. But true love won out, and we found our way back together. Wendy provided the exact tone we wanted, and did a wonderful job! As we are not located in the area, I was a little concerned about having an officiant we would not be meeting prior to our ceremony, but it all went SO smoothly. Wendy took the time to speak with groom & guests prior to ceremony, and picked up the tone of our ceremony (aka RELAXED!) & carried this crying/laughing bride & groom through our happiest day!

Wendy was such a joy to work with for our wedding. Frankie & I were beyond happy with our ceremony and all the services Wendy provided. Frankie & I have different views in that he is Catholic and I'm more of a free spirit. Wendy did such a wonderful job of helping blend both of our beliefs so we both had a ceremony that we both could connect with. Frankie also had emergency back surgery 3 weeks before our wedding. Wendy was able and willing to meet with us at the last minute before our big day. She made us feel special and important. Wendy was so great!!!! We had found her on wedding wire for officiants in Traverse City area, and contacted her via phone to discuss our wedding. She was very open to many different kinds of ceremonies, traditions, etc and she offered tons of helpful advice and resources that we were able to use when creating our vows, readings and prayers. We had a chance to meet Wendy a few weeks before our big day, and we immediately knew that we made the right choice. She is friendly, warm, and really easy to talk to! Rev. Rick Tasch was awesome!!! He did such great job and wrote a beautiful ceremony :) sooooooooo many of our guests said that our wedding was "so us", and wanted to know if we wrote it ourselves or if we knew him previously and we had just met him that day! :) It all went so perfectly and even though I (the bride) was a little late due to a wardrobe malfunction, he was very patient and understanding. We had Reverend Susan Prescott as our Officiant and she was PERFECT.

She was extremely polite, calming, and a wonder to work with. You know how some people have a natural aura or presence in the room which just makes you calm? Well, she's one of those people. She was extremely responsive, extremely nice and professional, and she did a wonderful job with the ceremony. She kept us in the loop, and went over and offered example versus to us and also what she was planning on saying for the ceremony itself so we knew what kind of tone it would be. She was flexible with our minor changes, and she pulled it off without a hitch.

She is an absolute pleasure to do business with, and we have ZERO regrets in hiring her for our wedding day. Couldn't have found a better one to have :)

Wendy and her team are AMAZING! Not being from the Traverse City area, we were only able to meet her in person the day before our wedding. We recently hired Weddings Your Way for officiant services for our wedding in Leelanau County. The first time I contacted Weddings Your Way, Wendy was responsive, friendly and very helpful. Wendy suggested Will Cain for our officiant and we couldn't have been happier. When my husband and I first met Will we felt instantly at ease that we would have a wonderful ceremony. We connected and communicated well with him. He was professional, listened to our wants and provided helpful suggestions when we didn't know what we wanted. Weddings your Way provided a list of beautiful sample vows and Will suggested doing a wine ceremony for our vineyard wedding. We picked our vows from the sample list and made our own custom wine from a red and a white and drank together to symbolize our unity. Both the vows and the wine ceremony were a big hit with our guests. Will performed a beautiful ceremony for us and we really didn't have to do anything but enjoy the moment. Will played a huge part in what was the most perfect wedding day I ever imagined and I would highly recommend Weddings Your Way to anyone looking to make their dream wedding come true! Pam Reihl our officiant, was a breath of fresh air as we made our very personal and private plans - just the two of us kind of ceremony. We came up to Traverse City to be at the beach for the ceremony and we were glad we made this kind of plan as we both love Lake Michigan. Pam was glad to be there and create a warm ceremony for us. Her daughter Melissa and friend Jaymie were the perfect assistants and they took some great pictures for us.
It was a windy cloudy day but we hardly noticed because it was a special day for us and Pam helped significantly in our having confidence all was going to go fine. We sincerely appreciated her communication previous to our coming to Traverse City as it made for us to not worry at all!

Mr. Cain was warm, kind and a great person to work with. He personally took time to call and met with us to get to know us. The ceremony was conducted in a professional fashion. He was great!

Wendy of Weddings Your Way is absolutely fantastic. Do not hesitate to book Wendy for your marriage ceremony. I needed a last-minute officiant for our wedding and Wendy's responsiveness and enthusiasm via phone and email immediately alleviated my stress over finding someone three weeks prior to our marriage. The day of the ceremony, we were embarrassingly late. Wendy could have been upset by our tardiness as she was left waiting for us, but she could not have been more understanding and gracious. She went on to officiate an amazing (unrehearsed with us, I may add) ceremony, with beautifully expressed sentiments. Wendy's presence will add even greater joy to your special day and I highly recommend her and Weddings Your Way.

If anyone ever asks about an officiant for a wedding around the Traverse City area, I would definitely recommend Wendy Hutchinson from Weddings Your Way. She was great and helped put together a great ceremony for my wife and I. We met prior to the ceremony so we could get to know one another and go over how everything was to flow that day. On our wedding day, she even toughed it out in the pouring rain while we decided whether or not to have it indoors or not. My wife and I were both glad she was a part of our day, and we would not have had it any other way.

Wendy at Weddings Your Way was our officiant and she was absolutely wonderful! She was very organized and was very detailed about what we wanted to include making our ceremony unique to us! Great company!!!!! I spoke with Wendy initially when trying to find an officiant. I told her what we were looking for in an officiant and for our ceremony. She set me up to talk with Will from Weddings Your Way. Will was very easy to talk to on the phone. He knew what kind of questions to ask me to make sure he was the right fit for our wedding.

Along the process Will sent us samples of ceremonies to help us create our own. Weddings Your Way is a perfect name for this company because they literally told us to create what we wanted and send it to them.

Will had great stage presence, voice quality and interaction with our guests. He spoke clearly and I could tell it was not the first time he had read our ceremony words. I would recommend Weddings Your Way especially Will, to any bride and groom looking for an officiant in the area!!!

Wendy, the owner of Weddings Your Way, served as our officiant the day of our wedding, and it was a great experience. She is very flexible- I chose to draft our wedding vows, which she had no problem with. It was also important to my husband and I that we have a non-denominational wedding, which Wendy was fine with. She was prompt in answering any of the questions I had along the way, and great to work with at the rehearsal and on the day of the ceremony. Would definitely recommend working with this company!
