We met. We fell in love. We met Matthew. We fell in love again!
Matthew listened to our story. Captivated the nuance of who we are together, and performed the ceremony we wanted. A bit serious. A bit funny. And ad libbed when bride and groom swallowed the same bug (you had to be there)! Matthew was never daunted by the venue, the ruckus workers made just outside our outside chapel, the heat, and an anxious bride. The proverbial knot was tied with style and wit and secured with a Klingon Greeting. Again, you had to be there! Thank you Matthew for getting us hitched. We will never forget and will always endorse and recommend you. -

Excellent service
We had Mathew marry us October 2020. He was super knowledgeable about the processes for a wedding and knew all the COVID protocol. He made it easy, relaxed and fun.

Fun wedding!
We are very happy to hire Mr. Thuney for our wedding. He has a lot of experience and gave lots of input to help with our rehearsal. Very easy to talk to and open to ideas.
Our ceremony was not as serious which fits my husband and myself. Thank you Matthew and Donna!

Matthew was so kind and attentive for our ceremony. With other vendors-we had last minute plans and updates, but Matthew was always cool and collected. We got to meet Matthew and his wife prior to the wedding, which made us feel at ease.
We wanted a short and sweet ceremony at an affordable rate, and aren't the best at public speaking, Matthew provided us templates to look at to help envision how the ceremony would be laid out, which made it easy in the planning process. Also our guests we're saying what a lovely ceremony it was post wedding. Thank you again for making our wedding special! -

We could not be happier with his services! He met with us several weeks ahead of time to understand our hopes for the ceremony. Matthew really takes the time to get to know you and attended the rehearsal so everyone knew where to stand and what to expect which relieved the wedding jitters! I feel he really cared that we had a stress free, easy wedding. He's very much a people person. Since he has many years of radio experience his service was expressive, funny and overall we just a great time. Several of our guests complimented on what a wonderful ceremony it was!
We really enjoyed getting to know Matthew and we HIGHLY RECOMMEND "Weddings with Spirit & Wit"! He is very relaxed, go with the flow sort of guy and the pricing is very reasonable as well. He also HAND DELIVERS your paperwork to the courthouse to ensure you are legally married! You'll love him as much as we did....Guaranteed!

From the moment we met him to discuss options for the ceremony he made us feel at ease and offered suggestions for our small ceremony which included our children. He answered any questions we had very quickly and our ceremony couldn't have been more perfect! I couldn't imagine anyone else doing a better job! Thank you Matthew for helping make our day perfect!

Amanda Sent on 11/21/2017Let's admit it the whole wedding process is nerve racking! I was so nervous and didn't know where to start, so I hired Matthew after reading his reviews here on Wedding Wire as a place to start. That was the best first decision I could of made with our wedding. With his total professionalism and thoughtful itinerary for how the ceremony would go we knew where to go from there. Matthew was always responsive when I had any questions, spoke with me on the phone, and even sat down to breakfast with us and his lovely wife and grand daughter! His wife also helps with ceremonies if need be! He made sure to show up early to our ceremony with his associate who performed our hand fastening. He tailored our ceremony exactly to how we wanted it to go so there where no man made surprises! However, even though I was having an outdoor wedding and it snowed almost 5 inches on my wedding day, he still showed up and him and his friend probably froze their butts off making sure we went over everything and that we were absolutely ready to go! He added a light hearted air of sophistication, laughter, and togetherness to what may of been an otherwise disastrous affair! Everyone forgot how cold it was and really became apart of the moment! Mathew is professional, timely, and available not to mention a great guy!! I urge you if your thinking about hiring an officiant that will do a stellar job, pay attention to detail, and wont nickel and dime you please hire Matthew!! You wont regret it, I promise!! I don't know what I would have done if I didn't have his help to guide me before the wedding and the big day!! Thank you so much Matthew you really are the best, and thank you for joining us together, braving the cold, for our winter wonderland wedding!! -
