Truly the best!!
Where do I start? First off? Karen & Lev are amazing at what they do! I couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out. I was so apprehensive about eloping and putting all my trust in someone to do everything for us on our special day and I am soooooo glad I chose to hire Karen and Lev for our ceremony and photography/videography. Everything was perfect and I didn’t have to worry about a thing, and this is a must when planning a destination wedding!! Karen answered all my questions and was very informative about everything which really put my mind at ease. I definitely would recommend them a thousand times over! If you want a someone you can trust with your special day, look no further! Thank you again for truly making our big day special! -

John and I had a beautiful wedding experience with Karen. Karen contacted us shortly after we submitted our request and was able to schedule a ceremony within our short time-frame. She addressed all of the questions we had with friendliness and professionalism and was able to recommend a venue and flowers. Everything came together in such a magical way, John and I could not have been more pleased. The weather cooperated, the beach was gorgeous, the timing was perfect, the ceremony was beautiful. Karen performed the ceremony in a personal way that made us feel so special. Kenny sang and played ukulele and his performance was also personal and so special. We have memories and beautiful photos that will last a lifetime. We feel blessed beyond belief and we are so very thankful to Karen and Kenny. Our wedding ceremony, as simple as it was, was perfect for us! We could not have planned it better if we had spent a year planning! Mahalo for the happiness you have brought us and for being part of our special day. -

We decided very last minute to do a vow renewal while in Kona celebrating our 1Oth year together. Kevin was super helpful with all the details for our little private ceremony. He made it easy with the location (and directions) as well as flowers and keepsake. He tailored it to what we wanted including reading words that we wrote. It was a very special sunrise celebration 🍾 -

Kevin you’re amazing! The whole
Family and I can’t thank you enough for making our daughter dream wedding come true! She was extremely ecstatic. It was certainly a leap of faith to trust a name that I had found in the world of web surfing. Kevin is a trustworthy professional all the way, he talked to me through the process over the phone. Unlike most company would ask for deposit but Kevin did not ask for any of that before the wedding, we trusted him and vice versa. The wedding were sort of surprise and wanted an intimate simple wedding and he helped to keep it that way. Oh and the Lei’s where made so beautifully and smells so good. We couldn’t be happier. Mahalo Kevin❤️

Our wedding was perfect ! Kevin was the greatest to work with and made our wedding just as we had envisioned. He made the planning process seamless as we live in Virginia and arrived the day. He is kind , funny , professional and puts so many details in the ceremony including traditional vows , blowing the conch shell, reading a beautiful poem and scripture. Our day could not have been more perfect ! -

This was one of the most memorable experiences of my life. Kevin was fantastic. SO professional and easy to work with. His words during the ceremony were perfect. It was a perfect length and I couldn't be happier.
I've attended many weddings in my 50 years of life... This was by far the most sincere and meaningful ceremony. The blowing of the Conk Shell was so beautiful. The explanation was perfect and informative.
The poem that Kevin read 'Marriage Joins Two People in the Circle of it's Love' by Edmund O'Neill was so touching it made me cry before things really got going. SO romantic and true.
1st Corinthians 13 is my favorite romantic Bible verse. Most people cut pieces out due to length of presentation. NOT Kevin. He read the entire verse it all of its beauty. It was so perfect.
Kevin allowed us to say our own words to each other which was perfect.
Kevin included joining of sands ceremony and concluded everything perfectly. I was so happy with the job Kevin did.
Karen did photos for us and I cannot say enough about her. She was so professional yet easy to work with. She knew just how to position us to look our best. SO happy with her!

Kevin made everything simple and easy while making sure our wedding was elegant, beautiful and just how we wanted it to be. He recommended a photographer, the fabulous Glen Dohie, who gave us magical pictures to commemorate our day as well as videographer, Andrew Williamson. Kevin made sure we had all the permits we needed and gave us step by step directions to make sure we had our marriage license in time. I would highly recommend Kevin to help make your special day turn out just right. -

Kevin was great! He worked with us as we switched what we wanted a few times. He also helped us find a wonderful restaurant for dinner reservations. The location he picked was just beautiful for our sunset beach wedding! Glen took our photos and did a great job too! -

Stress free
Everything was so smooth. Kevin walked us through exactly what we needed to do before the wedding (licensing and what not), and then took care of everything else for our big day. The whole process was completely stress free and beautiful. I would highly recommend Weddings on Big Island by Kevin! -

Kevin Eng made our sunset beach wedding the experience of a lifetime. His communication skills are excellent. Following our online inquiry, Kevin phoned us in Canada from Hawaii. He discussed our plans and he asked us many questions so he could customize our beach wedding. He expertly guided us through the online marriage license application process, recommended a license registrant (a requirement once you arrive in Hawaii) and told us when and how to apply and make a registrant appointment. Everything he told us was accurate; we didn't have to worry about a thing. He also arranged the photography for us. He suggested a lovely beach for a sunset wedding and it couldn't have been more beautiful. His expertise also shows in the timing of the ceremony. He told us when to arrive, was ready and waiting for us and he immediately put us at ease. Above all, the Hawaiian ceremony Kevin performed was beautiful (complete with leis, sand pouring and blowing of the conch). His readings were poignant and very touching. After the ceremony, Kevin and the photographer made sure that we got all the photographs we wanted and were very patient and caring (even taking some shots with our phones so we could send them out right away). The official photographs were delivered to us by Kevin at our condo a few days later. He really made our wedding a beautiful, stress-free and memorable occasion. We are already looking forward to a vow renewal! Thank you Kevin.

The perfect wedding
We did an internet search and Kevin's name came up with excellent reviews so we decided to book him. We couldn't have gotten a better person! Kevin keep in touch with is before our event and had planned everything exactly the way we wanted by asking us simple questions. Kevin is very professional and made us feel at ease while we were very nervous. Kevin made our event the most memorable it could have ever been. Thank you kevin. -

I’ll first start to say that my Vow Renewal ceremony was beautiful, and it was everything that we wanted until the very end of the ceremony. Minister Kevin is very knowledgeable and knows his stuff. He will proudly proclaim that he has performed over 1900 ceremonies and it shows. He was very flexible with my requests, very organized and services were reasonably priced. I did not want a cookie cutter ceremony; I had some small special requests, and he accommodated every single one without complaint or a least, so it seemed at the time.
We used Kevin’s vendors for music and videography and choose our own photographer. I spoke to each before the ceremony, and all were very accommodating. I highly recommend hiring Kenny the musician. He has a sweet honest and genuine soul and was one of the highlights of our day. Andrew the videographer was also professional. He streamed the service for us and provided our video in less than 2 weeks as promised. We choose Brenna Sharp (B Sharpe Images) as our photographer, and she was also a joy and provided our photos in record time and they were just what we wanted to capture our day and the beauty of the island. We cannot recommend Brenna enough.
Why 3 stars? Good question. We left the ceremony on cloud nine, everything was perfect until we listened back at the live stream footage and heard Kevin making some very rude and unprofessional remarks about us. It was quite embarrassing, and the videographer also warned him that he was recording. My family and friends were outraged, and many made mention of the comments. It was very embarrassing for us, and it definitely dampened our experience.
I wrote a text to Kevin later that night, apologizing for any delays that we may have caused that prompted his reaction ( i.e.: helping the videographer get the phone set-up for streaming, running back to car to get the token gift for my daughter, attending to multiple request for rings, pictures etc). Literally this may have delayed us by 7-10 mins tops. Anyway, I expressed that we (including family and friends) were deeply saddened by his unprofessional and rude remarks and demeanor captured on camera. I sent the text later that night and received nothing back from a usually prompt responding Minister Kevin. Had he responded, I would have still rated the services high, but it has been 3 weeks and he has offered no apology or explanation.
We are all human and make mistakes. I write this review so that you are aware of this character trait and not fooled by the smiles and nods. Integrity is what you do when no one is watching. Our intent is not to impede his business, but to hold him accountable. I totally recommend the services rendered and vendors, just not the man rendering them.

We were so disappointed with Kevin's unprofessional attitude. I spoke to Kevin while looking for an officiant for my Daughter elopement more than 3 months before the weddings was supposed to take place. I did notice a haughty attitude right off the bat with a few of his comments, but figured Id give him the benefit of the doubt. There were comments where he was acting as if he were doing us a favor instead of being hired as a service. I felt a bit scoffed at for explaining the kids weren't wanting the traditional "Hawaiian" ceremony. We talked about locations and I explained we were looking for a black sand beach he said there is one but you wont have much privacy because there were tour busses stopping there often, then he suggested a different location. He never mentioned he would only travel to certain locations in Kona.
Cut to the week of the wedding, we arrive on the island my daughter goes to the location Kevin suggested and it wasn't what she had pictured so she scouted a few spots other spots. she ended up liking the Black Sand Beach Kevin and I had talked about originally, its wasn't packed with tourists at all because we were there the very end of busy season so we figured perfect! My Daughter called Kevin to let him know she liked that spot better than his suggested location. He was on speaker phone so we all heard his reaction, which was to ask her " are you talking about the one 2 hours outside of Kona?" followed with him laughing. This reaction made my daughter feel small for even suggesting it for thinking a bride could pick the locating she loved. She was a bit stunned at his reaction so to clarify she asked " so your not willing to travel to that location?" His was " Uhhh NO..." with heavy sarcasm. So then he suggests another location we couldn't even locate nor did he want to help us find, and when she texted him to let him know, he responded with 1 sentence, of something brief and unhelpful to us trying to find the beach. He never followed up with a " hey were you able to find it?" nor did he even contact us at all to follow up with the ceremony plans. I would have understood a polite "I'm sorry I cant travel that far, or here is my travel fee for that drive" But to just never contact your client you had arrange to marry 3 months in advance is just so unprofessional and the opposite of Aloha.
Turns out Marrying people is just a job to Kevin and not one he wants to have to go out of his way for, and we absolutely did not feel that he views marrying people as "A BLESSING". What it is about to him was, doing things his way, a quick and easy buck he doesn't want to have to work for at all.
In the end we found a very sweet guy willing to travel to our chosen location and he even came from another island. It all turned out beautiful, but I didn't appreciate the added stress Kevin's selfish attitude brought. After talking to a few other officiants on the island when we were looking to replace him
