Jennifer was truly wonderful to work with. Planning a wedding of 120 guests from a different country is extremely hard. Having to rely on reviews, things posted online and trying to speak to venues from afar was very tedious and hard. From the moment we met Jennifer we felt like we were in the right hands. She was extremely professional, punctual, respectful and very knowledgeable. She was great to bounce ideas off and provide her professional opinion and recommendation, which I always fully trusted it. Anytime I was feeling very stressed, she was always there to ease my anxieties and provide any information she could to make me feel at ease. She always took the necessary steps to ensure things were moving along. The day of my wedding, I was truly stress free. I didn’t have to worry about a single thing because I knew everything was taken care of and going according to the plan we created. My only job was to enjoy our wedding and be present, and that’s truly priceless. Even my guests and parents were genuinely impressed by how organized everything was, she runs a tight ship! Every detail came together so easily , and the setup was beyond what we imagined, intimate, and stunning. We were able to fully enjoy the moment , and get gorgeous photos without worrying about a single thing. Where do we even begin? From the very first call, Jennifer and her team exceeded every expectation we had—and then some. It was an instant click from the first call and after interviewing a few planners, we knew Jennifer’s attention to detail and knowledge of local vendors would be so valuable.
Planning a multiday LGBTQ+ wedding celebration in Casa de Campo, Dominican Republic was no small task, but she made the process feel effortless, exciting, and deeply personal. She was our on-the-ground contact for everything and we had full trust in her. She went and did video tours of venues until we felt satisfied and even accommodated a change in date when we changed our wedding vision.
Every single detail—from the welcome Mehendi party to the wedding day—was curated with intention, creativity, and love. They didn’t just plan a wedding; they crafted an immersive, joyful, and unforgettable experience that truly reflected us as a couple. Our guests are still saying this was the best wedding they have ever been to in their lives.
She honored and celebrated our LGBTQ+ identity with grace and pride, creating a safe, inclusive, and affirming environment for us and our guests. Every vendor she recommended—from florals to food to music—was top-tier and completely aligned with our vision. Our Indian food vendor and Dominican wedding day food hit every mark and will remain some of the best meals we have had, including having dined at Michelin star restaurants.
The team was also masterful at navigating the logistics of a destination wedding in the Dominican Republic, particularly in a location as expansive and luxurious as Casa de Campo. We didn’t realize until vendors setup the gazebo and built structures from the ground up, how much more planning and work went into it.
Her eye for design is next-level, her organization is impeccable, and the team’s heart is fully in the work they do.

The tree we got married under was well worth it alone, with its custom floral design that we haven’t seen anywhere else. It was all worth it and even better than expected. Jennifer provides incredible value for the service, which is above and beyond. We could relax and enjoy once we got to DR. She was even kind enough to schedule a luxury nail appointment for us and gifted us chocolate covered strawberries on our arrival!

It’s been almost two months since our wedding, and we’re still daydreaming about it! From the very beginning, Jennifer was absolutely amazing. We felt a little lost and overwhelmed at first—especially since we were planning a destination wedding and felt responsible for everyone traveling to be with us. We found Jennifer through the WeddingWire app, and from the moment we reached out, she stood out. She was incredibly responsive, which immediately impressed us, especially compared to other planners who either took too long to reply or didn’t respond at all.
We quickly scheduled an introductory call and instantly felt a connection. Jennifer inspired confidence and trust from the start. We had always envisioned getting married at Casa de Campo, but she thoughtfully presented other venue options just in case it didn’t align with our budget. In the end, Casa de Campo was the perfect fit for our vision.
Jennifer connected us with amazing vendors who helped coordinate the travel logistics for our guests—one of our biggest concerns. Throughout the entire planning process, she was just an email away, always responding promptly and thoroughly. Once we had set the date, we began working on the design and decor. We shared a Pinterest board with her, and she transformed it into a stunning vision, which she then shared with decor vendors to begin gathering estimates.
She also helped us plan a walkthrough day at the resort, where we toured the venues, did a food tasting, and even previewed sample table settings, from plates and napkins to other beautiful details. At that point, we still hadn’t selected a photographer, and Jennifer provided us with several options that matched both our style and budget.
We wanted many personalized details for our wedding day—items we had been collecting back home—so she recommended a reliable shipping company she frequently works with to send everything from the U.S. to the Dominican Republic. We sent her about 12 boxes, and when they arrived, she carefully inspected each one to make sure everything was intact. She arranged transportation for the items to the venue and ensured every detail was perfectly in place.
The day before the wedding, we had our rehearsal, where Jennifer led the process and clearly explained to the wedding party what to expect. On the wedding day, one of her team members, Liz, stayed by our side the entire time. She was incredible—keeping us on schedule and bringing such a calming presence. Liz made sure we ate, even preparing us the most delicious tea and a plate of food in the bridal suite. Meanwhile, Jennifer and the rest of her team were behind the scenes making sure everything ran smoothly.
Thanks to Jennifer, we felt completely relaxed and stress-free on our wedding day. The trust she built with us during the planning process truly paid off—we knew we were in the best hands. Choosing to do a destination wedding and selecting Jennifer as our planner was one of the best decisions we made. Our wedding day was even more magical than we had dreamed—every detail was perfect, and we were able to enjoy every second of it.
This weekend, we’re back at Casa de Campo for a getaway, reminiscing about the beautiful memories we created here. To our surprise, Jennifer was on-site for another wedding, and we got to have breakfast with her. It felt like fate—and we even started dreaming about planning our vow renewal in the future! -

As two full-time professionals working very high-stakes jobs (with my husband simultaneously completing his executive MBA on weekends), her calming presence was exactly what we needed. Neither of us had the time or experience to plan something of this caliber, and initially our families weren’t very supportive of a destination wedding at an expensive resort. There were many times we felt in over our heads, but Jennifer led the way, managed difficult relationships for us, and did incredible work behind the scenes to make our dream come true. She was incredibly quick and responsive, always getting back to us promptly whenever we had questions or concerns. I shared my vision with her, and she carefully helped me weigh all options while keeping our priorities in focus.

She and her amazing team managed our entire wedding weekend - from the welcome party to the rehearsal dinner to the wedding itself - with incredible attention to detail. When rain threatened our ceremony, she swiftly moved everything indoors with such efficiency that it felt seamless. Her team was exceptional - Liz provided emotional support while Jennifer took charge, and Anisabel expertly managed our family members who needed extra direction. They were on site helping with absolutely everything, and my family and friends were so impressed by their work. They truly were our guiding light through the entire process.
Jennifer made our dream of getting married at Casa de Campo a reality, all while helping us control costs by encouraging us to step back and evaluate our options. Her extensive knowledge of the Dominican Republic, its resorts and wedding venues is unmatched. This expertise proved invaluable throughout our planning journey.
What impressed me most was the strength of Jennifer’s vendor relationships. In the Dominican Republic, your word is everything, and it’s clear how respected she is within the wedding, hotel/tourism, and event planning communities. Every vendor she recommended - from transportation to hair/makeup to our group travel agent - provided A1 service without exception.
Hiring Jennifer was by far the best decision we made for our wedding. She’s such a consummate professional, and we couldn’t be happier with our choice. Jennifer, our fairy godmother, was truly out of a fairytale!
From the very first video call, she provided a calming energy which made the decision of working together so easy. She constantly reassured us when we questioned the process and always provided a sense of security. Her professional demeanor and eye for detail are one of a kind. But where she shines the most is when you meet her in person and allow her to work her magic… just WOW! Our welcome party was met with pouring rain and within 30 min of the event, Jennifer was able to provide a bus for 40 people! A welcome party, she helped make happen in less than 24 hours!
The design of our wedding was exactly as she promised, but the energy was beyond our expectation. She was on top of EVERYTHING.
There are simply not enough words to explain what she did for us , not only did she provide the best vendors (hair&make-up, MC, entertainment, venue, live band, flowers!!!) , she made it so that they all work together so effortlessly that the only result was perfection.

To be honest, I don’t know where to start. Jennifer, Nancy and her team are truly miracle workers. They saw our vision and made it come true. Unbelievable
Our wedding had to be pulled off in 10 days because of different circumstances. It was a fusion wedding as well (Italian/Pakistani) in Punta Cana. We had no clue what we were going to do but we were able to hire Jennifer and Nancy who gave us the most amazing day we could have ever had. Everything was absolutely gorgeous, from the ceremony to the reception. The flowers, the set up, the menus, the centerpieces, the lights, the makeup artists, the photographers. Honestly after firing our first wedding planner I was nearly ready to cancel everything, planning a wedding, in the DR, especially from abroad is not easy. Best Planner in Punta Cana!!
We got engaged Christmas Eve 2021. We knew we wanted our wedding in Punta Cana. Within a week we found Jennifer and instantly fell in love with her work. We reached out and the following week we were working on planning our wedding!! Jennifer is simply the best. Besides being super professional, she has passion for what she does and it reflects on her work and dedication. Jennifer made sure we got everything we wanted, always available and super responsive. T H E B E S T wedding/event planner- look no further!!!
There aren’t enough words to describe how AMAZING Jennifer was in planning our wedding in Punta Cana. Jennifer is such a caring person who genuinely wanted to help us make sure everything in our wedding came out as we wanted. Planning a wedding from another country is stressful but Jennifer took all the stress away. She was very responsive and stayed in touch throughout the whole process, making sure we were appraised of every detail during the planning process. We had multiple Zoom meetings to coordinate things we wanted to include and she even took a video of our venue to ensure we were completely sure prior to choosing it. She made recommendations on vendors & always made sure to work with the resort we stayed at directly to coordinate logistics of our event. The day of the wedding, she was on top of every detail, making sure everything took place based on our timeline. Her assistant, Heloise, was amazing and helped us all stay grounded to ensure everything went according to plan. She stayed with the bride the entire day always made sure that the bridal party had food and drinks while getting ready. Jennifer had everything under control & even when something came up (like helping guests with attire malfunctions & recommending nearby shops for someone who forgot their suit) she handled it in a manner that made everyone feel at ease. The decorations were beyond our expectations and all the guests were amazed at the attention to detail & could not stop complimenting the way everything was planned and put together. She always listened to every minor detail and made changes (even last minute ones) in a positive manner and ALWAYS put us first to ensure we enjoyed the party as well. Overall, this was the best decision we made. We had 75 guests and every single person had something positive to say about Jennifer & her team (even asking for her information to contact her for other events). Absolutely amazing experience!!! Thank you Jennifer for everything you did to celebrate our wedding day! -

Dream wedding
We had a gorgeous wedding on the beach in Punta Cana. Even though communication was often not easy, jenn quickly responded to each of our emails. With her serenity, she stood by us through every concern.... and in the end everything was decorated and implemented exactly as we discussed. She is a very warm personality and all the staff that worked on the wedding were also very professional. Thank you very much! -

About 2 months before my wedding I decided that I needed a coordinator to help me with my last minute details and wedding day. It was the best decision I made to hire Jennifer and her team. Prior to the day of the wedding she was on top of everything that was missing and managing my day of schedule. She helped me get so many last minute things that I had forgotten. The day of the wedding, Jennifer made sure to have a team member with me at all times and one with my husband. Anything we needed or wanted was handled. I did not have one worry the day of the wedding. There is no price for the peace of mind her and her team gave me. When my bridesmaids makeup was running from the heat (and crying) Jennifer was on top of it and had them fixed up immediately. She knew the vibes I wanted for the reception and made sure everything move swiftly for more dancing. I am so grateful for her and her team. -

Magic wedding
My wife and I living in Paris (France), the city of love. So we wanted something romantic and atypical for our wedding. We found Jennifer on social media and we was astonished about her work on others wedding. We did a phone call 1 year before the big day and the feeling was good immediately. It was also thanks to Alexandre who his native language is french. During all the 2021 year we exchanged about our wishes and they listen to our concerns. The D-Day (31 of December) was wonderful. Jennifer was incredible to work with. Despite being in a different country, she helped my wife and I to plan our wedding seamlessly. She is so quick to respond, thorough, and has every answer to every question you could have! She comes with a lot of knowledge and experience with planning events in the area that was so helpful when looking for a photographer, videographer, dinner recommendations, even excursions for our honeymoon. This was Jennifer's first time planning a same sex wedding with two brides but she made us feel so welcome, which if you are queer and planning a wedding you know can be hard to come across. Surprise Proposal

Dream Wedding
Jennifer did an amazing job helping us plan our destination wedding. We had our wedding on the beach at the natural pool and then the reception on the Sanael wedding boat. Everything I had imagined and explained through email came out absolutely perfect on our big day. Jennifer did great when I wanted to change certain things and emphasized the importance of others. She was very professional the whole time and made sure the whole day ran smoothly. I didn’t have to worry about a thing and that is exactly what I wanted. Jennifer is hands down one of the most amazing, beautiful, and incredibly organized wedding planners I have ever met! I cannot say enough wonderful things about her!
She was extremely helpful once my husband and I arrived with our guests in the Dominican and needed to finalize our last minute plans. Throughout the entire planning process she was super responsive and I trusted her 100%.
The day of our wedding was nothing short of magical. That is the only word I can come up with is magical. From the ceremony location and set up to the tables and decor and the food was exceptional.
Our guests still cannot stop talking about our wedding and it is a day I wish I could relive 50 times over. There is not one thing I would change or one detail that could have been better.

The night was full of (pleasant) surprises! The venue's decor was everything we pictured for the evening. Her bridal assistant, Erika, went above and beyond for me the entire night. Our ceremony and reception went smoothly and flawlessly. I requested to be a guest at my own wedding, and they were able to make that happen! Stunning Surprise Proposal
Jennifer and her team assisted me in planning a surprise proposal while on my vacation to the DR. I was super nervous planning this so far away without knowing anyone in DR at the time of planning this. They talked me through the day, answered all of my questions, offered recommendations and suggestions for the day. They executed every item I requested and definitely were discreet throughout the actual day to ensure my partner did not know a proposal was coming.. As a LGTBQ+ couple, it was important to feel accepted and safe in this moment - and they went above and beyond. I would recommend their services to anyone. -

Despite 10+ planning meetings, our wedding planner repeatedly forgot key items, showed poor organization, and failed to manage a large Indian/South Asian wedding effectively. We were constantly delayed throughout the process. Seeing assistants on their phones during events was unprofessional and unacceptable. The lack of attention to detail and preparedness caused unnecessary stress on an important day. We do NOT recommend Jennifer and her team as a wedding planner, especially for large or culturally complex weddings. -

Huge Regret
Jennifer C. Collado and her team are not professionally capable of providing the event planning services they offer. My husband and I signed a contract with Jennifer in October 2021 for a wedding in August 2022. We wanted a simple, tasteful, Catholic wedding mass and dinner for ~20 people. We gave Jennifer 10 months and the service she provided was appalling. Highlights: her team caused delays the entire wedding day, she spelled my husbands name wrong on the program, the flowers did not reflect anything we requested, the mass was a disgrace, her team left 2 (out of 18) people behind.
Jennifer failed to provide some of the services guaranteed on the contract. We never got a wedding planning timeline. We were chasing after her for months and we eventually gave up on it. She missed key details that had been communicated in writing and verbally (I wanted pink flowers at the church, I specifically said no eucalyptus). Over the course of 10 months we worked together, while waiting for her to respond, I would see on Instagram that she took last minute gigs and prioritized new clients instead of following through on her promises with us. She was impossible to get ahold of and didn’t like doing meetings despite saying in her contract that we would have unlimited access to her and unlimited meetings. We had 2 meetings. Jennifer sent us an outdated invoice that included the wrong colors, services we didn’t want, and included extra fees for services that were included in her contract, specifically charging us for assistants the day of the wedding.
A week before the wedding she still couldn’t tell us who the deacon marrying us would be. This is important information because we needed to discuss with him some wedding details so I could make the mass program. When I emailed her 7 days before the wedding, she said “I appreciate a little patience” and told me she was busy with “four event logistics this week.” We were not a priority for her even days before our wedding.
Vendors started reaching out for the agenda about a week in advance, and Jennifer only finished it 1 or 2 days ahead of time. Once Jennifer finally sent out the wedding day agenda, it was wrong. We specified that we didn’t want to do speeches but she had included them on the agenda anyway. This caused chaos with our guests and we had to assure everyone that we were not doing speeches and we were sorry to stress them out.
On the day of the wedding nothing was coordinated. The agenda was not followed and everything was late. All my family members were asking me what was going on. The assistant with us that day couldn’t even answer our questions. We missed out on certain pictures because of this disorganization. Disappointingly, my husband missed out on getting ready pictures with his brother, father, grandfather and my dad.
Jennifer’s assistant who was on duty to help me, the bride, on the day of the wedding did not speak English or Spanish well. She spoke French and is presumably related to Jennifer’s husband who is also French. While the assistant was a nice person, she was not professionally appropriate for this task. The language barrier between she and I and between her and the vendors caused delays. She was unable to guide vendors to the Airbnb. She gave incorrect driving directions to my mother, and to my husbands mother and grandmother making them an hour late for their hair and makeup. She was not able to answer any questions about the agenda. She also left some of my belongings at the Airbnb.
The airbnbs Jennifer recommended (one of her friends owns them) were so inappropriate for getting ready in. Vendors couldn’t find our Airbnb. Specifically the photographer couldn’t find my husband so we didn’t get any getting ready pictures of him. We rented an Airbnb specifically for this purpose so we ended up wasting money there. Additionally, the rooms we paid for were not the ones we got. There was an “a/c issue” the day before the wedding so Jennifer’s friend gave us a worse room. I’m scared to see the pictures we took there.
The flowers at mass were not what I requested. I asked for white and pink flowers and we only got white flowers. The bouquet didn’t match the pictures I had given them and had to be fixed before the wedding because it looked bad with my dress. Even the fixed bouquet was wrong but we didn't have time for a third attempt.
The wedding mass was confusing and disorganized. The deacon had us kiss before we exchanged rings. The deacon didn’t follow any of the choices we made and readings we had spent hours choosing were skipped. It seems Jennifer didn’t coordinate with him.
When my husband walked down the aisle with his mother and father, they didn’t fit properly because of the candle placement in the aisle. My father-in-law had to walk slightly behind my husband and mother-in-law. Jennifer should have foreseen this possibility at the rehearsal.
The musicians that Jennifer recommended brought a cheap Bluetooth speaker with them that broke during the wedding march. When the doors opened for me to enter the church, the speaker broke so I just had to wait and stand there with my father for minutes until they regrouped. Her assistant also couldn’t keep the doors open. The moment was completely ruined.
The worst mistake she made, simply because of the sheer sloppiness and disrespect, is that she spelled my husband’s name wrong on the program (attached). SHE SPELLED MY HUSBAND’S NAME WRONG ON OUR OWN WEDDING PROGRAM! WE WORKED TOGETHER TEN MONTHS, PAID THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS, AND HER TEAM COULDN’T SPELL MY HUSBANDS NAME CORRECTLY?
Even after the wedding ended mistakes were still being made. The assistant left the best man and his girlfriend behind at the reception. We only had 18 people at our wedding so it is very careless to leave 2 out of 18 people behind, especially a member of the wedding party. The shuttle had to turn around halfway to pick them up.
I put on a good face for the wedding and tried to enjoy myself because we had so many family members from all over the world with us and it was their day too. I also wanted to make sure the photos and videos turned out well. However, it was not an acceptable product in the end. I’m still in shock that my simple wedding was this poorly done. Everyday since the wedding I have been in despair because a special day for us was so disrespected by someone we thought was a trusted professional. Please consider yourself warned.
Jennifer Collado is careless, negligent, lazy, disorganized, and unprofessional. I do not recommend Jennifer as a wedding planner.
Jennifer does corporate events. She cannot do weddings. It’s not her calling.
