  Hiring Chrissy and Matthew is a Must!

  We LOVED working with Chrissy and Matthew for our wedding photography! The wedding package we selected came with an engagement photo session. This was a great opportunity to become familiar with Chrissy and Matthew’s working style and to see what types of poses we liked or didn’t like prior to the wedding day. Our engagement photos surpassed our expectations! Then on our wedding day, Chrissy and Matthew were so incredibly helpful. They have so much experience with weddings and know exactly how to keep you on schedule in addition to taking photos. Matthew not only photographed the groomsmen getting readying, but also was super helpful in guiding them how to fold pocket squares and tie bowties. Meanwhile Chrissy was working to photograph the bride getting ready and all her details. At the reception, Chrissy and Matthew captured all of the special moments! They also went way above and beyond in clearing away the many cocktail hour tables and chairs so that we could get the iconic photos in the rotunda area at the Pennsylvanian which meant so much to us. We loved our wedding photos and will cherish them for years to come!! We received over 1400 photos capturing so many of our guests and all the events of the day. In addition to the photos, Chrissy also puts together highlight video reels which include still images and video mixed with music. These were so fun to watch and share on our social media platforms! We would HIGHLY recommend Weddings by Sal and Bella for your wedding photography – don’t hesitate to book them!

  The best duo photographers in Pittsburgh

  My husband and I worked with Weddings by Sal & Bella for our wedding in October 2020. The owners, Chrissy and Matthew, are such an amazing team (they’re also husband and wife) and go above and beyond to capture every perfect shot. They truly listened to us and made sure to take photographs of everything that was of importance to us. They were conscientious, thorough and courteous. They did a great job of capturing more “natural” posed shots rather than trying to manipulate uncomfortable poses, and they really put us at ease (we’re not the most comfortable posing in photos). I would recommend these two to anyone looking for photos for any special event. They are wonderful and they truly make sure that they capture everything that is meaningful to you. The best duo photographers in Pittsburgh.

  Chrissy and Matthew were our photographers for our wedding this past summer, and they did an absolutely incredible job!! They far exceeded our high expectations, and we highly, highly recommend them! Let me start by saying that our photographers were our most important vendor- they were the first vendor that we booked and the one that we spent the most time researching. We looked at dozens of photographers, viewed tons of wedding photographs and met with at least a half dozen photographers. Our research was very thorough, and we are so very happy and thankful that we chose Chrissy and Matthew. They are extremely talented photographers, and also truly great people. The package included our engagement photos (which we are so very happy with!!), and that was really helpful so we felt comfortable with them on our wedding day. They were very calm, kind and flexible and went above and beyond by helping with anything and everything throughout the day- fixing my hairpiece, doing the groomsmens’ bow ties, carrying things, keeping us on schedule, etc. They were also somehow everywhere at once and yet not noticeable at all. We could swear they multiplied into 10 people to capture the photos they took during the sign of peace and the wedding ceremony generally. They are also extremely efficient in taking the group photos, which is very important as the day goes so fast. The photos themselves are breathtaking and we couldn’t be more pleased with them. They delivered so many and there are so many stunning ones we don’t know how we will choose which ones to print and put in an album. Chrissy and Matthew captured so much emotion with the candid photographs and the portraits are perfect! Overall, we highly, highly recommend that you choose Chrissy and Matthew as your wedding photographers!!

  I cannot say enough about how AMAZING Chrissy and Matthew were! We booked them almost a year before our wedding and throughout the entire time they were always quick to respond to anything I needed, even helping me put together the day of timeline! They put in time before our wedding to make sure they knew exactly what we wanted and what our style was and it absolutely paid off! On the day off they showed up early, they were so easy to talk to and have around. They really made everyone comfortable and made the formal pictures quick and painless (which is saying a lot for us non-photogenic people!). Throughout the ceremony and reception both my husband and I commented that they were never in the way, we never even noticed them! There were so many pictures that we have that neither of us remember being taken! The pictures came within the time they said they would and we have all the shots we wanted, they didn't miss a single one! On top of all of that, they did more than just photograph, Matthew tied ties, Chrissy helped corset and bustle me, they were so flexible and easy going it was amazing! We had an unplugged wedding (no guest pictures) and they had posted a picture on facebook within hours of the wedding and continued to post teasers and created the blog post a week after the wedding! It was incredible and totally unexpected to have pictures available so soon that I could see and share with everyone. We couldn't have asked for more from them, they are truly the best!!

  Chrissy and Matt were the photographers for our wedding in September, they were extremely professional and fun to work with! My husband is from New Orleans and myself from pitt-- so when we were trying to plan engagement pictures Chrissy was BEYOND flexible with rescheduling and making arrangements for us (he flew stand by.) Not only did Chrissy meet EVERYTHING that I wanted, but she remembered specific shots from my pinterest account along with shots I had sent her. Several young couples who attended the wedding commented on her professionalism along with how you could barely tell that she was there! She took "in the moment shots" and was fully part of our ceremony but she was never in our face. The quality of her work is UNREAL and being a small business owner she really listens to what it is that the customer wants and requests. Her package deal was the BEST prices within the pittsburgh area- having two photographers (Chrissy and her husband matthew), staying with me on our wedding day for 11 hours, an engagement session, and she gave us roughly 25 teaser photos only DAYS after the shootings. LOVELOVE&LOVE Chrissy :)

Almost all of the photographers I spoke with were EXTREMELY inflexible - they wanted to maintain rights over their photographs; they wanted to have total creative control about what shots they took and which ones they didn't; and they were never willing to talk about the price. By the time we contacted Chrissy, I had developed a very low opinion of photographers and their business models. Chrissy singlehandedly reversed that opinion. Chrissy could charge at least 50% more for the quality and amount of work that she does. As my wife says above, Chrissy and her husband spent the entire wedding day with us. They manage to be extremely creative and self-directed in their shooting while at the same time responsive and inclusive to our own desires. They exceeded our expectations in every aspect possible. I have only great things to say about Chrissy and Matt. While other aspects of our wedding might have had some hiccup - maybe the food was dry, or the DJ didn't play a song we wanted - our photography was nothing less than stupendous. Congrats to Chrissy and Matt for leaving one husband and wife completely and totally exhilarated about their wedding photos. These guys are a credit to their industry.

  Christine Olson Photography shot both our engagement session and our wedding, and Chrissy also provided a photo-based guest book for our wedding. I would not hesitate to recommend Christine Olson Photography to future brides! From the first time that I contacted her, Chrissy has been prompt in responding to emails and extremely organized. Chrissy, Matt, and I all went to high school together; some people could have used that as an excuse to be lax, but Chrissy and Matt (her husband and second shooter) were complete professionals the entire time we worked together. Chrissy and Matt were incredibly flexible in planning our engagement session, which was highly dependent on the weather -- so much so that we picked a date to shoot only a few days in advance, because it finally snowed! They were also incredibly easy and fun to work with. Though we haven't gotten our wedding photos back yet (our wedding was 2 days ago), every time something exciting was happening, Chrissy and Matt were there with their cameras! I have complete confidence that I won't look back at the photos and think that I wish something had been photographed that wasn't.
  
  On the more practical note, I thought that Christine Olson Photography's wedding package prices were an excellent value considering what was included -- we grouped our engagement session, wedding, guest book, and wedding album all into one package for a very reasonable price -- and the high quality of work.

  She is amazing. I would have thought she was a member of my bridal party. Her and her husband were amazing and I could not have asked for anything better. The pictures they captured were memories made for me and my husband, which will last us a lifetime. We can look at our photos and go back to every moment that means the world to us. She helped complete our happily ever after.

My church wedding planners were impressed by her respect and professionalism she showed during our ceremony. Upon receiving our pictures I could not be more pleased with the results.
