Beautiful, personal ceremony

Reverend Doug was such a joy as our officiant. Our planning session went smoothly, and he made it feel like we could talk about anything. He got to know us as individuals and as a couple, and what we wanted in our ceremony. We were able to have it tailored to our liking, and he was always open to changes after the original session. Our ceremony was perfect, with a nice blend of tradition and uniqueness. We couldn't have been happier with how our wedding turned out and we'd highly recommend Reverend Doug for anyone looking for a wedding officiant!

Great experience

We had so many compliments about rev Doug at our ceremony. He did a great job of mixing mu husbands catholic background with my Methodist background. The ceremony was beautiful and personal. It was exactly what we were looking for.

A Dream Come True!

My bride and I could not have been happier with how our ceremony turned out. We had a feeling it was going to be effortless right from the start with how the Reverend’s staff was handling our questions. Their attention to detail and Rev. Doug’s patience and friendliness were enough for us to sign a contract.
We had our ceremony at Andorra Banquets and it was beautiful. Close to 70 people attended, and every single person raved on how wonderful Rev. Doug conducted our ceremony. With his blessings for us, and even a blessing for our 7 year old daughter who was our flower girl, there wasn’t a person in the hall that wasn’t on the edge of their seat. We even had friends attend that wouldn’t be considered the most ‘religious’ people, and even they said ‘we would go to every wedding this man officiates if we could’. That says enough in itself, doesn’t it?
Thank you so much Rev. Klukken for making our day so special!

Personal and Unique Experience

My wife and I wanted a ceremony that incorporated our Catholic traditions while allowing us to put our own personal and unique touches on our special day. Rev. Doug listened and truly understood what we wanted and helped create a ceremony that represented us absolutely perfectly.

Rev. Doug is Amazing!

Rev. Doug did an amazing job with our wedding ceremony! I think 95% of my guests commented on what a great job he did. Rev. Doug made our ceremony so special and personal, it felt as if he had known us our whole lives. We cannot thank him enough! I highly recommend Rev. Doug!!!

Perfection

Mr. Klukken was actually mine and my husbands guidance counselor in highschool, it was amazing how he was able to talk about that part of our lifes and bring it into the present parts too, I got nothing but complements on how awesome our ceremony was because of him, he was able to make our day even more special and meaningful!

Very, Very, Happy!

Rev. Doug Klukken and his team are amazing. They helped my husband and I out tremendously. We had no idea where to stand or how to do anything involving the ceremony and Doug was very patient, kind, and knowledgeable. They also helped us make the experience more unique by asking is questions like "how did you know you loved your fiance" among other questions and later tied them into the wedding ceremony. Overall, it was a great experience!

Amazing, perfect, and wonderful experience!

We cannot say enough wonderful things about Reverend Doug and Free Spirit Church for making our wedding day a dream come true. Reverend Doug spoke perfectly at our ceremony and made our day that much more special. He made the planning process for us so easy and was there for anything we needed. Every one of our guests continued to tell us how special our day was. They continued to state how wonderful Reverend Doug was during the ceremony. Our wedding ceremony was perfect and everything we could have hoped or dreamed of!

Reverend Doug was amazing and I would highly recommend him! He was genuine, kind, personable, and funny and really made our wedding special. Perfect Wedding

Reverend Klukken was a joy to work with. He has such a big heart, and he and his wife could not have made the planning process any better. We had so many compliments throughout the night about our ceremony and how beautiful it was. Reverend Klukken made it romantic, sweet, and light-hearted, which was exactly what we wanted. Best.Ceremony.Ever

Rev Doug is truly an amazing person. Upon meeting him for our planning session he was so down to earth and I knew he was the right choice with his catholic background for our family. I can't tell you how many people came up to me after the ceremony to ask where I found him and how amazing his presentation of the sacrament of matrimony was. I think my family is switching churches for this reason alone. He is an amazing person and reverend and just made everything so special for my husband and I and families. Would HIGHLY recommend his officiant services to anyone having a non-traditional ceremony.

Rev. Doug did an incredible job at my daughters wedding. He was very personable and had all the guests smiling and laughing. We loved the fact that he is an Ordained Priest and Lutheran Pastor. He was absolutely perfect for both families, one catholic and one lutheran. He was very flexible and travelled a longer distance to officiate the ceremony in Granger, IN.

Rev. Doug was great! He was very friendly and accommodating to the unique faith needs of our families (Catholic and Apostolic Pentecostal). Finding an officiant who would be able to make everyone happy was of great concern for us in planning our wedding, and Rev. Doug came through! He was sure to keep the ceremony lighthearted, but still reverent. We have heard nothing but very positive things from friends and family regarding our wedding ceremony. Thanks Rev. Doug!

Reverend Doug was amazing! He was so professional and made our wedding day so special! Our guests could not stop talking about how wonderful our ceremony was and how personal he made our vows. Rev Doug was awesome. He totally tapped into who me and my wife are in our first meeting, which was 20 minutes. He was very outgoing and receptive to what we wanted and who we are. We had so many compliments on our wedding service. So many people said it was the beat wedding the had been to. And that had everything to do with rev doug. Since the wedding we have been attending service at his church. We feel so comfortable and at home. And that was a hard thing for me. I grew up going to a Catholic grade school and ever since I have been sceptical of organized religion. But rev Doug has reinvigorated my connection with God. Since he performed our wedding I feel closer to God or spirit than I have in my life. Nobody but rev Doug could have done that.

Reverend Doug and his wife are amazing to work from right from the beginning. It poured down rain on my wedding day and he called me just to reassure me. Also came out in performed our ceremony in the Pavilion in the pouring down rain. He was wonderful and made our ceremony amazing.

What a beautiful wedding. Pastor Doug did an amazing job on our wedding. All my guests commented how great our ceremony was. Not your traditional wedding he made sure to sit with us to ensure our wedding was personal. Pastor Doug's humor kept the ceremony flowing beautifully. And me from crying for a minute. Lol. Rev Doug was all we could have asked for in an officiant. We are a non-religious couple, but Rev Doug was easily able to accommodate our preferences for a short secular ceremony. I'm especially glad that we completed our ceremony planning session as it was a great chance for him to get to know us and really personalize our ceremony. He was incredibly flexible about last minute changes and a delay to the start of our ceremony and his conversational style kept our guests engaged, emotional, and laughing throughout.

Reverend Doug was one of the most talked about parts of our wedding day. From the beginning, everyone with Free Spirit was so welcoming and inviting. He sat with us prior to our wedding and got to know us as individuals and learned about why we wanted to be married. Our ceremony was so personalized and made all of us laugh (which we hoped for). No matter where you decide to do it, he will do an amazing job. Young and old, everyone loved his style and sincerity. We truly appreciate everything they did to make our day special. The Chapel is so cute and we loved how intimate the whole day felt. Thank you Doug and everyone who helped make it great!
All so reasonably priced for the use of their facility, the amount of time we spent there and the rehearsal and decorating the night before. Our groomsmen loved Doug hanging with them prior to the ceremony and he fit right in with their banter.

From the planning process to the big day, Doug made our wedding as easy and fun as it was substantive and beautiful. He gave us the opportunity to shape the content of the ceremony while offering trusted guidance based off his extensive know-how, which has come with many years of experience. Thanks to his ability to officiate with lightness and humor blended with the utmost in sincerity, he made our ceremony by far the best I have attended. Perhaps you may think that, as the groom, I am biased. Perhaps. But I have had numerous attendees come up to me and spontaneously report the exact same sentiment.

Simply a beautiful wedding ceremony. It was raining and cold and we were supposed to have the ceremony outside. We had to move it inside and everything went so smoothly despite the change.

Reverend Klukken made our wedding so very special. He arrived on time and took his place and we found out after the ceremony that one of the couples that was at our wedding had him at their wedding the year before.

The ceremony was spiritual to our liking and we even had a few moments of laughter, which helped me overcome my nervousness and lighten the mood, as I lost my mother the month before our wedding.

Truly a beautiful ceremony and at a reasonable fee. We are so very happy that we chose Reverend Klukken to commence our wedding.

My husband and I can't say enough good things about our wedding ceremony at the Free Spirit Interfaith Church! It was the perfect setting for our Game of Thrones/Harry Potter winter wedding. Rev. Doug Klukken had our families laughing, tearing up, and smiling from ear to ear with joy. All of our guests said that was the best ceremony they have ever been to and don't think they have ever laughed so much at a wedding ceremony. Even though we didn't know Rev. Doug long, it felt like we knew him for many years, if not our whole life. The way he incorporates details you speak of with him in your pre-planning ceremony is absolutely outstanding! Our ceremony was personal and tailored to us and our families. We loved him and the church! We highly recommend Rev. Doug Klukken and the Free Spirit Interfaith Church.

Everyone at Rev. Doug's office was extremely helpful, professional, and reassuring. I had second thoughts about my original officiant after meeting Rev Doug at a tasting put on by Aberdeen Manor. About a month before our wedding day, I was having some anxiety and having very strong second thoughts about our officiant. I contacted Rev Doug via his website knowing the chance of him being available a month before our date would be slim to none. To my surprise, I was contacted within 10 minutes and by some miracle our wedding day was about the only day he had available for many many months. I couldn't have been any more happier with my decision to use a Rev Doug for our wedding ceremony! He knew exactly how to calm me down. After meeting with him I was confident that our ceremony would be exactly how I wanted it to be. He is very personable, professional, and engaging. Everyone at our ceremony was very impressed with him and I have recommended him to many and will continue to do so. Diana, Angela, and Alexandria are all wonderful as well! Very polite, understanding, and helpful! We are 100% satisfied that Reverend Doug was a part of our wedding day!

Reverend Doug Klukken and his staff were beyond amazing! From the moment we met with him, he made us feel so comfortable and we knew right away he was perfect for our wedding day. My wedding was more perfect than I could have ever imagined! We called to elope within only 2 days notice and we had doubts they wouldn't take us, and sure enough they did! That was just the beginning, we met Alexandria through email to confirm some things and she was SO sweet, polite and professional but also made us feel completely comfortable! They let us arrange everything perfectly how we wanted, and did the best they could to help us out and help with any stressors and questions we had. When we got there, yes it was a small chapel, but it was so cozy and you could feel the good energy surrounding. Alexandra welcomed us and showed me to my bridal room to get ready, and she was just the extra hand I (literally) ABSOLUTELY needed to get my dress just right, she was so joyful and easy to talk to the whole way through. Then I met Reverend Doug Klukken and he immediately brought tears to my eyes with his beautiful words and his kind smile. I never once stopped smiling with tears, even when I tried. He made it so personal and heart felt. The ceremony was peaceful, exciting and beautiful. Then the added bonus, Alexandria is a photographer!! She did a half hour session for us during the ceremony and a couple after for a very reasonable cost! She's only one person but she was making sure to get all angles! Then.. we received the photo disc a couple weeks later (felt like forever, but Alexandria was on the job!) And the pictures are ABSOLUTELY stunning! I looked them over so many times, admiring them. I felt like I was reliving that amazing moment all over again, brought tears to my eyes, again! Also, to realize and see the beauty that she captured that I never even knew was there. She did an amazing job not only photographing but editing as well. I couldn't be happier with not only the services they provided for us, but the kindness and love they welcomed us with, from the beginning and the whole way through. Thank you again!

Reverend Doug Klukken provided us the best wedding ceremony we could've hoped for. I have a very Catholic family, and my spouse's family is not particularly religious. Doug put together a beautiful outdoor ceremony that was respectful of both of our family's backgrounds. All the guests had nothing but wonderful things to say about the ceremony. He met with us beforehand and personalized our ceremony with us. When he was officiating, he talked about us and to our guests like we were all friends. He was available at any time the days leading up to the ceremony if we had any concerns or changes to make. He was prompt, professional, and highly personable. We are so happy that we chose him to officiate our wedding. It was just perfect.

We highly recommend Rev. Doug Klukken. Everyone at his office was very nice and helpful. His planning meeting was great. My son who was with us still talks about him. We had a great experience. Our wedding ceremony was very personalized just for us. He had everyone laughing, smiling and crying. All our guests commented on how great he was and how perfect it all was. Your way wedding day is just what it says. It's all about you and your day and exactly how you want it. And if you don't know how you want it they have all kinds of ideas from experience to help you decide through every detail. We can't recommend him enough. Our wedding was perfect!

I cannot say enough good things about Rev Doug, Alexandria and The Free Spirit Church. They made our wedding day so beautiful, fun and relaxing. They handled everything, provided us with direction and made the entire ceremony such a wonderful memory. Alexandria is extremely helpful, responsive and an amazing help with planning and Rev Doug just made the ceremony such a blast that I am still receiving compliments on how much fun our ceremony was. I LOVED working with Rev Doug!!! He performed the most perfect wedding ceremony for us! The whole process was so easy. He and his staff were right there with us every step of the way.

The ceremony planning session was helpful and fun. He was really open to our ideas, and we had a ton of grand plans in our head, so we were very grateful for his expertise. He guided us as we created a ceremony that was absolutely perfect for us, right down to capturing our unique religious beliefs.

The planning session and simulated rehearsal were so helpful in getting our ceremony details sorted out that we could have run our rehearsal on our own. The rehearsal was almost too easy. After we got all our plans on paper in our meeting it was just a quick lining up of our wedding party for a couple practice runs down the aisle. Piece of cake.

We were really nervous on the wedding day but Rev Doug helped calm us down during ceremony and gently reminded us to just be in the moment. To be honest I was so wrapped up in our ceremony that I was kind of oblivious to the hundred and fifty people watching, but after the ceremony guests told us they enjoyed every minute of it. They told us how welcomed they felt and how personal it was. It really was everything I wanted and more - the most personal, funny, spiritual, heartfelt, entertaining, and sacred ceremony I could have ever imagined.

Planning a wedding can be super stressful but Rev Doug and his staff made planning our dream ceremony so easy. I guess I shouldn't be surprised though. I read on their website that he he has done weddings for 2,000 other couples before us!!!!! It definitely shows! If you are looking for someone who really knows what they're doing - you will be in great hands with Weddings By Rev Doug. We recommend him to everyone!

Rev. Doug Klukken was great. Of course, it's really hard to put into words how great he was. My wife and I met with him and his staff a few weeks before the wedding, during our ceremony planning session, to get a plan on paper (I highly recommend this). There, he talked to us about our relationship and helped us calm down (wedding stress, yeah that's a real thing). Rev. Klukken did a wonderful job keeping the meeting light and relaxing, while being open to our ideas and view for the ceremony.

During the wedding rehearsal, he helped us execute our plan. He made sure everyone was comfortable with their roles within the wedding party, and spared no expense at making sure we all laughed and had a great time.

Showtime! On the big day, Rev. Klukken was a calming wave in a very hectic moment... Ok, ok, looking back, the whole day felt like a moment... So, more like a very hectic day. He made sure I was standing where I needed to be, and helped guide my wife and I into our new life together. Our ceremony was very personal, because he touched on all points of our relationship (things that we discussed in our meeting). Our guests were entertained by his personal touch and humor.

Again, I cannot say enough for what Rev. Doug Klukken did for us, and I know that if you're interested in his services, you will not be disappointed.

Rev Doug was great! I can't tell you how many of our guests stopped us after the ceremony and told us it was the best wedding they'd ever been to. Rev. Doug was so personable and made my groom and I feel at ease. He was able to add personal details about our lives to make the ceremony that much more special. I would recommend Rev. Rev. Doug was the officiant for my vowel renewal and was recommended by one of my clients. He made the ceremony short and sweet, per mine and my husband's request. We didn't want the ceremony too be too lengthy due to it being a June wedding, but we also wanted it to be more fun. He was great about everything we asked. Rev. Doug officiated my wedding over 10 years ago at Aberdeen Manor in Valparaiso and the memories of him still bring a smile to my face. At a time when it was very difficult to find a non denominational priest he was my saving grace. He was personable, professional, and extremely helpful in making sure that my ceremony went exactly how I wanted. He attended my rehearsal and was willing to "practice" with us both inside and outside in case of rain. During our ceremony he had us turn and face our guests rather than them looking at him the whole time. He talked about us as if he had been our priest for years, it was very heart warming. He made sure to have enough religious dialect in our ceremony without being overwhelming to anyone. He laughed with us and made a stressful day perfect. I would HIGHLY recommend Rev. Doug to anyone even after all these years.

I highly recommend Reverend Doug Klukken and his team members. I come from a Catholic family; my husband's family is Nazarene. We are both spiritual, but not overly religious. We wanted someone who could combine our family's wishes for a traditional marriage with our modern ideas of a ceremony. Rev. Klukken-or Doug, as I have come to know him--and Alexandria, the wedding concierge, were instrumental in making our dreams come true.

The team made the planning process a breeze from the initial meeting. Everything was explained in detail, so I didn't have any more stress on my plate. Alexandria was easy to get ahold of, and returned my messages and phone calls in a prompt manner. She was a professional. The team made my husband and I feel special. Doug listened to what we wanted for our ceremony and made great suggestions on how to incorporate different themes and ideas throughout.

I have and will recommend this highly passionate and responsive team to anyone who wants their wedding to be unique, special, and full of love. I received so many compliments from our guests on the meaningful and joyous ceremony. Both sides of the family were happy with the personalized ceremony. It was definitely the way we wanted to start our marriage.

Doug is wonderful. My now husband and I had crazy schedules and it was tough to find a day/night to sit down and talk with Doug. He was willing to meet us at night and talked with us for a couple hours (maybe even more!) He understood what we were looking for in a ceremony and he delivered! He also made it very funny and likable! Not at all cut and dry like you see at some weddings where half of your guests are falling asleep! You definitely did not fall asleep through this ceremony, he had EVERYONE laughing. Always professional ,king and pleasant. Even when I had 'Bride Brain' and forgot the Marriage License to sign, he told me I could bring it by to him in the next few days for him to sign, no problem. We cannot say enough good things about him.

I really didn't know what to expect, but the experience I had with Rev Doug Klukken and his daughter Alexandria were phenomenal!!!! I had no idea when I was getting married as I had some personal and financial things I had to take care of first. I am off work on Monday's so I knew it would be on a Monday. So I would call and speak with Alexandria and she is just so kind and understanding. I finally picked the day, and there was so few people going to the wedding I really didn't know what to expect. We had no rehearsal because I wasn't really interested in doing a big fancy thing, but when we got there we were guided into the most wonderful and beautiful ceremony. The reverend was so awesome with my two girls and my family, I couldn't have asked for a better day in my life!!!! We felt so comfortable and welcome that we are thinking of coming to some Sunday services, which we really don't do because of personal reasons. Thank you Rev and Alexandria!!!! Your services were wonderful, and I recommend anyone getting married to look you all up!!! Thank you again for the fabulous day!!!

I am a big social media and technology person. So I started my searching for a wedding officiant that was local and would be able to perform something small, and honestly inexpensive for my small group. After a Google search, I stumbled upon Weddings by Rev. Doug Klukken on Facebook. I was impressed by the reviews, and the pictures that were posted on their page. Mind you, this was a last minute wedding and planning was short. I called at the end of December, and we will able to get a date that was available in April. The Rev. Doug Klukken including Rev. Diana and their daughter Alexandria, are just all around great people. After our first meeting I was impressed. On our wedding day, The Rev. described us in our ceremony has he knew us for years, which obviously he just meet us literally a month before our wedding. Our family was impressed with the wedding, and it turned out to be just a awesome day for our blended family. I would recommended them to anyone! Thanks again for sharing our love and happiness, and giving us a great wedding day for memories.

Rev. Doug married my husband and I on September 20th, 2013 in Munster, IN. From the first meeting I immediately knew that Rev. Doug was the perfect officiant to marry us. My husband and I, and our families too, have very different religious beliefs and Rev. Doug was able to put together a ceremony that was beautiful and perfect. He was open to all of our ideas and gave suggestions as well. He made our day special and made us feel that it was about me and my husband. I was worried about what our families would think regarding the direction we took with our wedding ceremony, but they did not even care because Rev. Doug did an amazing job.

Rev. Doug also handled the rehearsal fabulously! Some of our bridal party came sometimes be a little much to handle, but he performed the rehearsal professionally and made sure we knew everything that was going to be happening for the ceremony.

From my first contact with Rev. Doug and his amazing staff, I was very pleased! They all made my day memorable!

both my wife and I had been married before, with myself being married in the Catholic church and both us presently attending Holy Spirit Catholic Church; so it was important to both of us that we have a ceremony that reflected our sense of tradition and and value.
Doug being ordained as a Catholic priest brought everything that we were looking for into the service.
We were able to incorporate our grown sons into groomsman that meant everything to us.

I was excited to run into Alexandria and find out that his ministry is alive and well and we will look forward to attending services sometime soon.

Rev. Doug Klukken was recommended to me by The Way as a preferred officiant. I was looking for someone who could make our ceremony as unique as us. We were able to meet prior to the wedding and discuss the format, tailor the religious/spiritual level, and include customized vows. Rev. Klukken did a nice job offering up suggestions and helping me design our ceremony. I really loved how he presented us on the stage of our venue which allowed us to view our guests rather than having them see our backs the entire time. He had a wonderful presence and was very genuine. There was a nice balance of touching moments, smiles and laughter. This was both my fiance' and my second marriage. I was disheartened that my first marriage was already in the Catholic Church and I could not get married again in the church (Catholic Law); however when I found out Rev. Doug was an ordained Catholic Priest my prayers were answered. I could have the spirituality I wanted present when I got married.

Rev. Doug Klukken was professional, friendly, and made us feel as though he knew us forever; and most of all we were comfortable. We had a beautiful ceremony that will forever be a beautiful memory for the both of us and our friends and family that were present.

We had a great experience with Rev Klukken, he was always friendly and accommodating. We met with him several times and he went over everything with us so we knew what to do the day of. The day before we were running late and when we called he told us to take our time getting there. I was so stressed out he gave me a hug! The day of went perfectly, every one told us how much they loved the ceremony and said even the children were engaged in what he was saying. He was funny and heart felt, We could not have picked a better minister!

Joe and I would like to thank you for the wonderful ceremony. Our guests loved that you had us face them. It was much more personal and made them feel like they were part of the ceremony as well. Rev. Doug Klukken made our wedding very special. He personalized the ceremony and made us feel very comfortable. Doug and his family were amazing and treated us like we were family. Our wedding was very beautiful and memorable. Alexandria took wonderful pictures of our wedding and did a phenomenal job capturing our special day! Doug was everything we could have asked for on our special day. On a day in which nerves & emotions are wound very tight, Doug was able to talk me through a couple tense moments & kept myself loose as I awaited my beautiful bride. He kept everyone who had roles in the wedding on point by guiding them through during rehearsal & leading all of us in the right direction during the ceremony as wel. Doug was able to capture the mood of the event through very strong words, but also kept the atmosphere light with some timely jokes. We all smiled, laughed, & almost cried during the event. I would recomend Doug to any couple out there getting married. Thank you Doug, you were part of day we will remember forever!

Rev Klukken did a wonderful job as the officiant for our wedding. He made the whole process calming for me while I was a nervous wreck. He mixed in a little humor but maintained the real message of love and getting married. I would recommend Rev Klukken to anyone who is looking for a smooth and touching service!

We were very happy with Rev Doug Klukken. We had never met him because we live in a different state and everyone at the wedding thought he had known us for years. He was very friendly and personable. I would recommend him.

What an amazing ceremony! Doug did better than we could have ever hoped or dreamed for. He really made the ceremony special for us and it fit our personalities perfectly! We have received SO many compliments on what a beautiful ceremony. Our guests really appreciated that we faced them (Doug stood in the aisle) during our whole ceremony. So many of our guests said that it was the "best ceremony they had ever seen". I cannot put into words how perfectly it was tailored to us.

We were both so nervous during the ceremony and a bit unsure what to do and when. However, Doug walked us through everything and guided us to exactly what we were supposed to do without breaking the flow of the ceremony.

We cannot say enough positive things about Doug Klukken!!

Our wedding was outdoors in a gazebo & Reverend Doug Klukken officiated. We couldn't ask for a better officiant! He was so wonderful! He really made it special for us & our guests by having us face our guests to make it more personal. He also spoke from the heart & everything he said felt like it was just meant for the bride & groom. We highly recommend him!

The Freespirit church is a great place to get married at. Rev. Doug Klukken was amazing. He was very porfessional and gave a real personable touch to our special day. They also exceeded our expectations as far as their attention to detail. We were very happy with how our entire ceremony turned out. We had a nice turn out of family and friends to share in our big day and the church had more than enough room for everyone. We thank Rev. Klukken and everyone at Freespirit for all they did for us.

You invited us to your church, you spent hours learning our story and you made a valued connection with us. On our wedding day, you delivered words that will forever touch my heart and many hearts of those attending. What you did was priceless to me, yet very affordable in terms of the payment. Our wedding was July22,2012.Our ceremony was so beautiful!!!! We could not have asked for anything better.Rev.Kluuken is so nice he made it such a fun expierience from start to finish.The ceremony was a perfect lenghth,he didn't drone on like some do making you feel like they have forgotten they were performing a marriage not a sermen.It wasn't to brief where you were like wow that's it? He asked us about ourselves and each other when we met with him,and he brought that into our ceremony.That made it so special,our wedding guests got a little insight into our deepest feelings about each other and our own take on us as a couple,that made it very personal.We think it was a very warm and romantic ceremony just what we were hoping for!!!!Thank You Very Much Father Klukken!!!!

My husband and I were married by Rev. Klukken in an incredibly beautiful and meaningful service. Rev. Klukken listened to us and incorporated all the elements we wanted in our ceremony. He included my young daughter in the ceremony to make her feel special about the beginning of our new family!
When I look back at our photos, I have such wonderful memories of our special day.

Perfect Outdoor Ceremony

Rev Doug is fun, easy-going & is all about convenience for the happy couple! We met with him one time for 30 min & he covered everything we needed to know for our big day! Love his style of “working the audience” as he speaks in the aisle so you can face him and your guests! Such a great experience and even better pictures! Our ceremony was short & sweet, and absolutely perfect. Rev Doug did an excellent job and I’d recommend him to everyone!

Everything very professional and helpful. We had a very small wedding in the Chapel, 7 people total including us. Paid $350.00 for total service that was 15 minutes for meeting and 15 minute wedding service.....a bit on the pricey side, but they did cater to everything we wanted, and let us customize.
Over all, we are happy.

Doug and his team were amazing! They were incredibly easy to work with and he made us feel comfortable while balancing a family that is, on one side extremely religious, while on the other not at all religious. He made the ceremony about us and we received many compliments on his professionalism and happiness at marrying us. I am very glad that we chose him and would certainly recommend him.

The reverend did a great job. He was able to make the ceremony formal and informal at the same time: he was able to make small jokes on the fly which helped make the environment seem very friendly and relaxed, while he addressed all the religious concerns we may have had (my wife is Catholic and I am a very relaxed Methodist, thus he performed basic Catholic portions of the marriage while remaining relaxed Methodist for my sake to accommodate this). He was very joyful and helpful throughout the ceremony and the rehearsal dinner. He did seem a little rushed at both the rehearsal and the ceremony, but that was because he was highly requested at both times. This was the only thing that kept from the perfect 5, as everything else was perfect and he did not rush our ceremony at all. I would highly recommend Reverend Doug Klukken.

He is very friendly, nice and all, but we asked for non religious ceremony, and he said amen over and over again at our ceremony...
And I have asian name, he pronounced wrong a couple times! We went to the church and discussed about 4 times, he asked how to pronounce my name like 100 times but still didn't get it! (it's not hard to pronounce... EVERYBODY gets it after once or twice but him!!) so for that 2 reasons(supposed to be the biggest part?) I wasn't happy with it!

As the weeks go on since our wedding, I'm increasingly upset that Doug didn't include the extremely simple modification to our vows that we requested, and his office confirmed we would have. Our vows were literally THE reason everyone was there... and we really gave thought to them. We decided that the concept of commitment was important to us, and so we only wanted Doug to ad the lines "I commit myself to you..." to our vows. and he failed to do so. And in the moment, our heads were spinning, and of course we didn't have the presence of mind to think of this, and that's why you have an officiant and meetings beforehand. So looking back, it does feel sour that we didn't speak the sentiment that we really wished to express on our wedding day.

However. I was shocked at how many guests told me, very sincerely, that it was the most beautiful wedding they've been to. Many of them cited specific examples of the ceremony that they just loved. Doug added a very personal touch to our ceremony, and it made the day more meaningful for everyone.

The ceremony was good...fr. doug gave nice sermon. But however he is strictly business...make sure u pay him beforehand. I thought it wasn't very christian like to refuse to start a wedding and stand w your arms crossed until you get paid...I mean really ??? U think your going get stiffed in front of hundred guest ??? So much for having FAITH in people geez
