My husband and I got married on the Carnival Sensation in the Port of Miami in February 2018. We could not have dreamed of better experience. My husband and I live in Miami, but also have family and friends in the Midwest. We chose to get married on Carnival Cruise as it allowed for us to have guests come to the ceremony and leave before the cruise sailed or to sail with us. Carnival was an affordable vacation for those that lived in Miami as well as for those flying in from other states. We had spent over a year planning the wedding and the Wedding Department at Carnival was extremely helpful. There was rarely a wait on the phone and all of the wedding planners were kind and knowledgeable. Carnival was able to accommodate a large group (134 total, 35 non-sailing guests and 99 sailing guests) for our ceremony and reception. The ceremony was approximately 15 minutes long, then we had an hour and half long reception (we chose the Time to Celebrate Big package, but it looks like packages have changed since we booked). The wedding went quickly, as we expected, but there was still time for speeches, dancing, eating, and drinking. The entire day ran smoothly, thanks to the 3 wedding coordinators working with us. After the wedding, we were able to spend 4 days in the Caribbean with friends and family. None of our guests had been to a wedding on a cruise ship before, but our guests loved it! I cannot imagine a better way to celebrate our marriage!
