First I will like to apologize about my English.
Almost a month before my wedding I met Jacki and for the first moment I felt her warm heart and her kindness! We had 2 trails because I change my mind how I want my hair 2 weeks before my wedding. I never felt uncomfortable with her and always was explaining everything and for everything was right!
At the wedding day, she was on time and with a big warm smile.
I promised her cream for her coffee but I totally forgot it ( I am so sorry Jacki)
She done hair my bridesmaids, maid of honor, my mom and me ( here I like to tell that my bridesmaids,maid of honor and my mother didn't have a trail before because they live in Greece and except my maid of honor the rest of them they don't speak English)
All of them they came with photos with how they like them hair done, OMG!!! Jacki did exactly what they asked and all was super happy.
About my hair now, I never felt so beautiful and I loved everything she had done the most craziest thing she maid and I was ready to cry it was that she staid with me until the moment that went inside the limousine. She was there for ME and this was the most amazing thing! I love you Jacki and I want to tell you that everybody at the wedding was talking about your job! Thank you is not enough for all that you did for us!
I recommend her with all my heart and I wish all the future brides a beautiful wedding with no stress and a lot of Love, flowers and music!
Thank you one more time Jacki because you make me feel so loved and beautiful and the most important that you was honest with me!

I'm really impressed with the quality of service from wedding tresses! We had 16 services at my wedding yesterday and Jacki did a fantastic job with everyone's hair. She brought a talented make up artist who made sure everyone got what they wanted and were comfortable by the time they got out of the chair. My hair and makeup stayed looking great all night! Thank you!! This a great vendor with great quality and value.

Jacki did an amazing job with my wedding hair and makeup. I was so pleased with my hair/makeup trial, and she certainly delivered on the big day! I love Jacki's honesty and flexibility when I wasn't exactly sure what I wanted. The hair and makeup stayed throughout the whole day, and she was able to travel to me, a big lifesaver with so much going on! I would definitely recommend Jacki for all hair and makeup needs.

I hired Wedding Tresses to do makeup for my May wedding for myself, my bridesmaids, my mom, and mother-in-law. From the initial contact to the trial to the day of, everything was wonderful. At my makeup trial, Sam (who is AMAZING) was thoughtful and thorough, and on the day of the wedding, made sure I was happy with everything as we went along. I wanted a bolder, vintage look for the wedding, and she delivered! She is very responsive if there is something you want adjusted or changed. My bridesmaids were also all very happy with their experience and makeup as well. For one of my bridesmaids, Sam ended up starting her eye makeup over because she herself felt it wasn’t quite right—that’s how much of a perfectionist she is, which is exactly what you want for your big day! I will also mention how Wedding Tresses came through for me in a pinch—a couple weeks before the wedding, a couple bridesmaids and my mother-in-law who had decided not to get their hair done changed their mind, which would have been too many people for my current hairdresser. Jacki was able to send one of her team members at the last minute to do hair, which meant a much more relaxed and less stressful day for all. And she did a great job as well. Overall, I felt the price was just right, they are talented and responsive, and would definitely recommend their services.

I was married this past January 2014 at the Hawthorne Hotel and I chose Jackie Nori of wedding tresses for my hairstylist (as well as stylist for my bridal party). I couldn't have been happier with how she transformed my hair for my big day. A month or so before the wedding, she met me at my home for a trial because she knew I was under a time crunch and was stressed about how to wear my hair. I can be very picky about my hair (especially when it comes to how to wear it for my wedding day!) and she talked me through the process of determining the best style for my dress and event.
On the big day she was right on time and did everything to set my mind at ease. My bridesmaids could not have been happier with their hair, and my mother (who is a self proclaimed tomboy) looked more beautiful than ever, I've never seen her smile as much as she did that day.
I decided last minute to completely change the style that Jacki and I planned for, for a completely different updo. She was not only accommodating, she delivered on transforming my look into exactly what I desired ( but couldn't completely verbalize). I could not have been happier and I feel confident in recommending her services to anyone! She is truly a miracle worker with hair and you will not be happier! Thanks Jacki!!

I can't even begin to express how terrific it was to work with Jackie and Wedding Tresses for my daughter's wedding. She was such a wonderful presence the day of the wedding. She is the person you want around as you excitedly get ready. She contributed a wonderful calm to the getting ready scene. We were able to joke around with her but she knew how not to be too intrusive. She handled her presence with the perfect touch. And the makeup and the hair - fabulous! She kept everything so natural looking. I was worried about looking too fake. She said to my daughter, " I don't often suggest brides where their long hair down but I think you should." She was absolutely right. Our guests commented on how natural and beautiful we all looked. The pictures taken of me were the best ones I've ever had! And the pictures of the bride... unbeatable! You would be lucky to work with Jackie and her crew.

From beginning to end, Wedding Tresses was a delight to work with. They were thorough and their communication was very professional. The day of my wedding, my hair was perfect! I have very curly hair and when I walked down the aisle, besides my dress...my hair was the focal point. Kristen did a beautiful job with setting my hair and pulling into a side sweep and applying my flower hair piece. My hair lasted the entire night and I felt beautiful! My Bridal Party and Mom's looked beautiful! Kristen was on time and did 8 people's hair. She finished ahead of schedule and we never felt rushed. At any point in my journey, Autumn was there to answer my questions and reassure me that my day would be beautiful. I would highly recommend Wedding Tresses to any bride to be!

Jacki and her team are amazing! Jacki( the owner) came herself to do my hair and makeup on the day of our wedding. I had shown her lot of different pictures and ideas and then the day of I showed up and told her to do what she thought would work. I had lot of hair pieces for her to use and the end result was amazing. She and her team turned myself and my 8 bridesmaids into our best selves. Her whole team seemed like they really wanted to be there laughing and joking with us and joining in as we played silly games the pass the time. Wedding Tresses is amazing and I can't say enough good things about them.

Jacki is great! She came to my hotel room where I was getting ready and provided 3 of us with hair and make-up. Everything she did was perfect, I loved my hair and make-up, she worked really hard to make sure it was exactly what I wanted and I still looked 'natural' as that was important to me.

Jacki is not only a talented artist (THE BEST), but she is truly a beautiful and amazing person and someone I am so lucky to have met / worked with. Jacki (the owner) of Wedding Tresses did an excellent job with my hair for my wedding day. She is amazingly talented and creative when it comes to the style of wedding hair. She has a true gift that is not easy to find. I wasn’t sure exactly how I wanted my hair. Jacki helped me make this decision during my trial. She created the exact same design on my wedding day. I loved it and could not have been more happy!

Wedding Tresses did an amazing job with not just my hair, but also with my bridal party. I had 8 girls getting their hair and makeup done. All of the stylist showed up right on time and were a pleasure to work with. Everyone was professional, talented, and fun to have around when we were all getting ready!

I would suggest to look no further. This truly will be the best decision you make throughout the planning process. Jacki Norrie & Wedding Tresses will not disappoint! They are simply the best!

Jackie of Wedding Tresses came to our house to do my hair for our special day and she did a phenomenal job. She showed up on time and did my hair exactly how I had asked her to, incorporating a headpiece I had purchased. After reading all of the amazing reviews for Wedding Tresses, I just had to contact Jacki Norrie and her team, because this is exactly what I was looking for; an amazing hairstylist that would travel to our hotel, do the hair onsite and make me and the rest of girls beautiful for the big day! And that is exactly what she did! From my initial consultation up to our actual wedding day, Jacki and her team were so attentive and had every detail covered. Which is so key, because as a bride things can get pretty crazy especially during the last couple of weeks before the wedding. Plus, when we did my initial trial run, I was so happy that Jacki was able to get my hair exactly how I wanted it based on the picture I gave her. And more importantly, my hair on the day of the wedding was exactly what I had envisioned: gorgeous and elegant, so thank you again Jacki! She was also so pleasant and positive to be around (not every vendor is like this); me, my Mom and the rest of my bridal party absolutely LOVED her! So, would I recommend her....YOU BET, ABSOLUTELY! Jacki and her team are AMAZING and I would tell any bride to use her services! You only have one big day, so you want everything to be beautiful and perfect, including your hair.

The GREAT thing about working with Wedding Tresses is not only that they come to you, but that their employees are professional and talented. I recently got married in Newport, Rhode Island and I had 2 make up artists and 2 hair designers come to work with my bridal party and family. Everyone was very happy with the end result. Chris did an amazing job with my hair, she really did exactly what I wanted. Kayla did an unbelievable job with my makeup, I was so happy with the outcome, and the makeup lasted all day..... Jacki and her team made me feel so so beautiful the day of the wedding! I called Wedding Tresses after a horrible trial run at a different salon. My trial with Wedding Tresses really assured me that I would not be worried at all on my wedding day.

Jacki and another stylist came to our house on the day of the wedding and we had a great time doing hair for 6 bridesmaids, my mom and me! It was really fun and we were finished right on time without any sort of panic. The bridesmaids all felt really beautiful as well. Jacki really worked with me to make sure I loved the hair and also did an excellent job on the makeup. I felt like gorgeous and the makeup photographed well also.

Jacki mentioned that in the future she may be focusing on more of the managerial aspect of the business but that she will still be doing hair and makeup if she is requested. I highly suggest you ask to work with Jacki! The other stylists are all expertly trained by her anyways but Jacki was just so great!

I used wedding tresses for hair and makeup for myself, my wedding party, grandmothers and mothers. Everyone loved their hair and makeup and how friendly they were. I had Jacki work on myself and one other girl for hair and one girl for makeup. We had a great time getting ready with them the morning of the wedding. It is so nice to have someone come to you to do all of this instead of sitting in a salon all morning. Would recommend them to any bride wanting friendly service and of course to look beautiful on their wedding day! Thanks wedding tresses :)

I worked with Jacki Norrie at Wedding Tresses for my wedding day on Memorial Day weekend 2011, and I think every bride in the greater Boston area NEEDS to consider working with her. Jacki was incredibly delightful to work with, professional, and gave me EXACTLY the hairstyle I wanted for my wedding. I have very thin, very fine hair and I was so worried about my hair falling flat after the first half hour of my ceremony and I was petrified that in all of my photos that my hair was going to look dull and thin. After my first consultation with Jacki, I knew I was in an expert's hands! She made my hair look absolutely southern belle gorgeous the day of my wedding. All of my friends and family could not stop talking about how great it looked. Best of all, Jacki's team COMES TO YOU the day of your wedding---and trust me, there is nothing better than not having to worry about getting to places on the morning of your wedding!!

I also had a few bridesmaids who had very short hair and Jacki was able to give them all faux updo's, and they all could not believe how gorgeous their hair came out too. She also did perfect little curls on my flower girls and was excellent at working with little ones and being gentle with their hair. All in all, Jacki did about 8 heads of hair that day, ALL HERSELF, and each girl loved their hairdo, we were done with plenty of time before we had to leave, and most importantly, I was completely in LOVE with my hairstyle!

We also used Jacki's make-up artist Christopher for our makeup, and he was truly an artist and made us all look like the best version of ourselves. Our makeup was perfect, not overdone, but just right for our beachy summer wedding. My mom tends to not wear makeup at all and she really loved the job he did for her. All of us looked like we "popped" and we were all really happy with the makeup. Except for a few reapplications of lipstick, our makeup lasted well into the summer evening.

Jacki has a great personality, is incredibly diligent and professional and KNOWS WHAT SHE'S DOING. She's excellent at communicating and at calming nerves the day of the wedding. I would ask Jacki to do my hair again in a heartbeat. It's obvious why she's built such a successful business. Future brides, take the pressure off yourself the day of your wedding--have Wedding Tresses come to you and make you even more gorgeous than you already are!

Its hard to explain just how much FUN it is to work with Jacki Norrie and her team at Wedding Tresses. Jacki and her team were the first vendors I saw on my wedding day. Once they arrived it was as if the party started! Not to mention, they are extremely talented!! I had a vision of what I wanted my wedding day hair to look like, but I was having a bit of a hard time explaining the look. I went for my hair trial and really liked what Jacki came up with. However, when she arrived on my wedding day, I showed her one picture and she brought the style to life - having never practiced the look before! Five stars all around! Wedding Tresses truly was a pleasure to work with! I am honestly a little bit picky about my hair and makeup so I was a little nervous about putting my face and hair in the hands of others. Wedding Tresses made the experience so easy and stress free, they listened to what I wanted and brought it to life with some expert input. For example, they recommended that I pencil my eye brows a little, something I never do, but I loved the subtle result! Also, I was worried about what to do with my mom's short hair but trusted Jackie to make her look beautiful, which she did!

Jackie and her team are all knowledgeable and friendly, a joy to have around on my wedding morning. Plus, they come to you, a HUGE plus! Book them NOW!

Christine and Holly from Wedding Tresses did an amazing job on the hair and make up for my wedding. I don't normally wear makeup so I was nervous about how it would look. I am so thankful that Jacki was part of the most important day of my life. She is such a lovely person, and was absolutely perfect from start to finish on my wedding day. She arrived on time, she was very prepared and respectful of all of my family and all that was going on where I was getting ready. Everyone loved her. She did an extra hair style on a moment's notice (I warned her this may happen). My stepmother has very short hair, so I wasn't sure how it could be styled, but Jacki made it look absolutely beautiful and elegant and not "poofy." And I could not have been any happier with my hair - I have never felt prettier in my life. It was even better than I imagined it in my (many) dreams! And it looked perfect until the next morning. Thank you, Jacki. You are wonderful!

Jackie was AMAZING!!!! I had a trial run and Jackie made my hair look exactly like the picture I gave her. I am obssessed with my hair and once I saw Jackie's work I knew i could just relax and enjoy the afternoon before my wedding. I had Jackie do my hair, my mother's hair, my flower girl, and my 5 bridesmaids. I couldn't believe how fast she works, we were able to get everyones hair done in a few hours! Christine Enwright did hair and makeup for myself and my mother, and we were both delighted with how we looked. Christine was prompt, prepared and professional and really executed the vision we discussed at my trial run. She also did a great job with my mother, who she had never seen before. She was just terrific. Also, I really appreciated that Wedding Tresses was willing to work with just the two of us. I did not have bridesmaids, and lots of places had a minimum requirement that just did not make sense for my wedding. But Christine was more than willing to come to us in Cambridge on a June Saturday, for just two people. She and Jackie were both a delight to deal with at the trial run and during the run up to the wedding. I would definitely recommend them to others.

Thank you again so much for everything. You made me look and feel so beautiful! Ladies...I would only recommend wedding tresses. Jackie was great to work with. My husband told me how beautiful I was and my best friend, Ginny since fourth grade told me I had never looked so great. I came to Jackie after two bad trials elsewhere. She made me feel stress-free and I actually went out to celebrate with my soon to be hubby after my trial I was so happy..) The day of our wedding, my hair and makeup stayed perfectly. Even my lipstick! Jackie was very responsive and I wish I had gone to her in the first place as I would have saved a lot of stress and money at those other places. She is worth it! JACKI NORRIE AND WEDDING TRESSES ARE JUST INCREDIBLE!!! I truly can not say enough about Jacki and the people at Wedding Tresses. They made me feel the most beautiful that I have ever felt in my life on my wedding day. They showed up to our wedding location precisely on time, and they even moved up our timetable when we needed them to! They did the hair and makeup for me, my maid of honor, my bridesmaids, and my mother and mother-in-law. Everyone looked just gorgeous, and they took care of everyone with such care and kindness. They also worked with our photographer and florist to make sure that we had beautiful "getting ready" pictures. Jacki and Christopher were like family on my wedding day. I will never forget their kindness, grace, professionalism, and flexibility. They were beyond helpful, and I am amazed at their skill and artistry!! Christine at Wedding Tresses also did an updo for one of my bridesmaids who wears a wig, and the wig looked incredible!! Jacki and Christine perfected the wig so that all of my bridesmaids had gorgeous hair!! The makeup that Christopher did for each of us was just gorgeous, and all of it stayed on all day and all night long - even our lipstick! I had so much fun at my Hair and Makeup Trial with Jacki at the Wedding Tresses Newbury Street location before my wedding; the studio is beautiful and so relaxing. We decided on my hair style on that day, and on my wedding day it was even more beautiful! I absolutely adore Jacki; she and Christopher are incredible people, and their work is AMAZING!!!! Thank you Jacki and Christopher!! I will never ever forget you or how beautiful you made me look and feel on my wedding day!!!!

Jacki recently provided wedding hairstyling for myself and my bridesmaids. She was spectacular and very professional with all the girls. She listened carefully to what they wanted and created individual looks that suited each girl.
The work she did with my hair was nothing shy of sculpture! I have never felt quite so beautiful. She translated my vision into a style that was better than I could have imagined. She also managed to intricately weave a vintage headpiece into the style, which was a feat in itself. I was so so pleased with the results - not to mention the fact that Jacki is a joy to work with! I even had several people tell me that my hair was "Oscar-worthy"!
I would recommend Wedding Tresses to any future bride - or anyone looking for a knock-out stylist for that special occasion!

I had the most amazing experience with Jacki and Wedding Tresses. I was so fortunate to have found her, and I am so thrilled that I chose Wedding Tresses for my wedding hair. Jacki from Wedding Tresses is AMAZING! First of all they come to your house which helps out so much on that day, and they only do weddings so you know you are getting a very professional crew. I had Jackie, the owner, do my hair and makeup. She was awesome to work with and so professional. She definitely knows it is the bride�s day and wants to make you look and feel beautiful. I was so relaxed that day and part of it was that I knew she would do an excellent job! I cannot say enough about her. I even had her do my hair for the rehearsal dinner! She did all the hair for my bridal party and even managed to get one of the girls with very short hair up so it looked like a French twist it was amazing! Jackie and her team are the best!

Jackie and her assistants were wonderful. I had hoped for a day at home, getting ready with all the girls. Jackie and her assistants were part of the group, only with magical hair and makeup tools. They were so friendly, punctual, professional - but relaxed and fun, talented and cost-effective. So many salons charge the exact amount for you to travel to THEM and for service that is not on par with Jackie's strengths. Jackie was always responsive to messages, always dilligent in following up with and reminding me of upcoming events (trials, payment dates, day of arrivals, etc.). I would do it all over again in a second if I could, but only if Jackie was there for hair and makeup.

Jackie and Jen made my wedding day experience stress-free and relaxing. My first visit to Jackie's salon for a trial run put me at complete ease. She is very personable and truly took her time to make me happy. She was very easy to get a hold of for any questions and always got back to me in a timely fashion. Jackie and Jen took care of my whole bridal party, my mother, and an aunt. We were all impressed with their professionalism and were all very happy with our results. Everyone looked and felt beautiful but not "overdone". In fact my aunt, who got married the following year also used wedding tresses. I was so happy with Jackie that I still travel off cape to her salon as she has become my regular stylist. I can truly say that of all the vendors I used for my special day I was most happy with Wedding Tresses as Jackie and Jen made it a hitch-free and fun experience.

Jacki Norrie of Wedding Tresses is the absolute BEST!! She was not only a joy to work with...she made every individual girl in the wedding (especially the bride) achieve their own sexy signature look while maintaining a classy style. She takes great care to make everyone look beautiful, but makes her main focus the bride (which made me feel so special). I used Jessica at Wedding Tresses for hair for my bridesmaids and I in Newport, RI. Coordinating the hair trial and the wedding day was super easy with Jackie. Jessica was absolutely fantastic. On the day of the trial, she took the time to go over exactly what I wanted and made sure it looked perfect. My hair is very thin so she suggested I buy some extensions she could put in for me. I was SO thankful that I took her advice because she was able to transform my hair to look absolutely stunning. Having the stylist come to my hotel room to get everyone ready was incredible and so worth the few extra bucks rather than traveling to a salon. I highly recommend Wedding Tresses to anyone looking for a stylist for their wedding!

Jacki and her team at Wedding Tresses really made my wedding look come to life. I showed them a picture of how I wanted to look and voila there I was staring back at the picture in a mere hour. They came right to us which was really awesome and comfortable for us. I would recommend Wedding Tresses for sure. The only reason I didn't give them a 5 out of 5 is because sometimes when emailing back and forth things were lost in translation. I suggest calling directly to make sure everything is going as planned. Otherwise - they are very nice, professional, budget friendly and come to you - as well as very good at their craft! Also our hair stayed on place for over 8 hours in the freezing wind and rocking out on the dance floor.. what more could a bride ask for??!!

Jacki and Christine were both amazing and very accommodating. They took care of all the hair for 9 bridesmaids, 2 mothers and myself. The hair on everyone looked amazing and was beautifully done. I found this vendor highly recommended and last minute with only a month and half to spare before the wedding.

The bottom line:

Prewedding appointment - They have locations in Rhode Island and Plympton and will even come to your house if it is more convenient. I went to the Plympton studio which was very cute and easily located right by a major street. Unfortunately, due to some communication error, Jacki and Christine had driven to their Rhode Island location and had to drive back causing the appointment to be about 45 minutes late. This was not a problem for me as I had taken the morning off, however, but Jacki was very professional about it and offered me the appointment free of charge for the mishap.

Price - The price was initially a little more than I had hoped but because I had so many bridesmaids Jacki was able give me a decent discount which was more in line with what my understanding of the "going rate" for updos and hairstyling costs.

Timeliness - I was lucky enough to have Jacki and Christine on my wedding day. Jacki had a later afternoon appointment but was able to accommodate me with her morning so that we wouldn't be scrambling for my 1:30 wedding. Both women came on time and were very courteous to my wedding party.

Professionalism - Christine actually did my hair and placed my veil. I was running very late, probably because I had so many girls in my wedding party, and although Christine had an appointment to keep for the afternoon she stayed with me making sure all my hair/veil needs were taken care of. I am very grateful to her for that.

Overall I was very happy with my wedding day hair and Wedding Tresses. I would highly recommend them as they have a ton of experience, come highly recommended, are friendly and professional and are able to cater to your style needs. My updo was actually done so that I could pull the curled hair and have a half-do for my reception, which turned out beautifully.

Wedding Tresses was a pleasure to work with - I had my hair trial run a few months before the wedding and felt right at home with Jackie. She is so down to earth and personable as well as (most importantly) and AMAZING stylist. She and Christy were at the house doing hair the day of the wedding. They were incredibly professional to work with! I highly recommend working with Jen and Jackie. They were so flexible and accomodating. They knew exactly how to make me (the Bridezilla), my mom, aunt, and bridesmaids look stunning without making any of us look "overdone" or fake. Jacki and her team were amazing the day of my wedding! Jacki was very professional as she had 7 of us girls to get done under a time constraint (on my part). She was able to pull it off showing no stress or nervousness. In fact she is the one that kept me calm. Her makeup artist was nothing I've ever seen before! I look back at my photos and still can't believe that it's me. I looked amazing with my makeup but, at the same time I still looked like me not a fake. My fiancée and I were planning the wedding from out of state, and were fairly belated in looking for hair and makeup (I think it was about 8 weeks out that we booked). However, Jacki was fantastic from start to finish, and very accommodating. I had a trial run, though my fiancée wasn't able to make it, so we had to kind of wing it on the day of the wedding for her look. My fiancée is not a girly-girl and didn't really have any thoughts on what she wanted--just what she didn't want. Jackie understood, and created an amazing look that went perfectly with my fiancée's personality and our wedding theme/costume (it was a Halloween wedding). For my look, Jacki absolutely killed it--exactly what I wanted.

Jacki's assistant (Sam) did the makeup for our attendants and mothers, while Jacki did the hair, and they both did a great job. Sam kept double-checking with me to make sure the looks were what I/my fiancée envisioned, which I appreciated--but it wasn't necessary. All the ladies looked absolutely lovely.

The only communication problems I had were my own doing (texting the salon's number rather than her cell), and Jacki was otherwise responsive and easy to work with.

MY hair was AMAZING !!!!! wedding tresses is perfectly priced ! The owner comes to where you are! She does such a fantastic Job! The only thing is that I had 8 Girls and there was one person doing all of our hair, I found it getting a little rushed and stressed! Jacki did an amazing job not only for the bride and bridesmaids but also on my hair. I have never had so many compliments. I had pictures from my other daughter's wedding of a style that I liked but she significantly improved the previous look. I planned a destination to the Cape from the UK and had to book my vendors over the internet/phone. I selected them based on reviews from wedding websites and customer referrals. My final test was how prompt, friendly and informative our correspondence was...and Wedding Tresses was SUPERB. They were very flexible and happy to answer my questions. I had my trial at the studio in Plimpton with Christine - where she managed to create my makeup and hair exactly (if not even better) than I had described. She did not have the range of lip colours I would have hoped but I ended up buying my own and had it available for touch ups on the day. On my wedding day she arrived right on time and set up quickly. She took care of 4 of us and even managed to add another service without running over time. She was also such a delight and fit right in with us! We were all so pleased and looked our most beautiful. Having her come to us took the stress out of the day and allowed me to relax and enjoy getting pretty! The hair and makeup lasted all day and I got so many compliments. I was sad to wash my make up off and take down my hair! I would recommend Wedding Tresses without a doubt!

Christine did my hair and makeup for my wedding and I could not have been happier. She was AMAZING. My hair and makeup stayed all night and looked amazing in pictures. She is extremely talented and I cannot recommend her more.

Can you really put a price on good wedding day hair? I'm not so sure since when it's all said and done and the hair style turned out amazing and you feel like a million bucks and you're getting rave compliments... you simply can't put a price on that feeling.

Jacki was great to work with and I really enjoyed my time with her. The scheduling and organization process can be a little frustrating but if you keep in mind that they are busy working on other brides' needs as well... then it will help keep things in perspective.

My husband raved about my hairstyle throughout the wedding day which was a shocker since he wanted me to have my hair down for the wedding... but I decided to have Jacki do an up-do.

Annie and Kayla were amazing. I have had nightmare updos in the past so I was nervous for my trial with Annie. She was fabulous - I only brought a couple pictures, gave her an idea of how I wanted it to look and she ran with it. I walked out of that trial feeling confident and excited.

On the day of the wedding, Annie kept me laughing even when I started to get uptight about small details. She has the perfect balance of professionalism and making the bride have fun! I loved my hair and only wish she could do my hair in the future!!

Kayla did our make up and was fantastic as well. She gave each bridesmaid and my mom and fresh look so no one felt made up or out of character - exactly what we were all looking for. I felt like the girls read my mind on everything I wanted!

The end result was beautiful, but it was not the most organized process. My sister, mom and I all loved the way our hair and makeup looked for the wedding - Christine did a great job.

But throughout the process leading up to the wedding, the email communications were disorganized, which made me worried that the day-of would be disorganized too. They emailed me asking if I wanted to reserve my date, but I had already reserved and paid my deposit several months earlier. They didn't email me any confirmation or prep info (as promised) before my trial run, and then later emailed me asking if I wanted to schedule my trial run, long after I had already had my trial run. I spoke with the owner about my concerns and she assured me that they had hired a new office assistant to get more organized, and then offered to let me have another trial run for no cost to ease my worries.

As I said, I was extremely happy with the end result (and I'm super picky with my hair and makeup), and would recommend them. I just hope they're getting more organized, which it seems like they are.

She was great at listening to what I wanted and changing anything that I wasn't 100% happy with until it was perfect. She was also very quick and got everything done on time for our pictures. She was very easy to work with. It was a bit more expensive than some other quotes I got but the final results, doing both hair and make up and travelling on site made everything worth it. The only difficulty is in communication as they are only open on certain days with limited hours and I wound up communicating with a few different people which could be redundant or confusing but ultimately everything worked out okay day of.

Kristen did a lovely job with my and my bridesmaids' hair styles at our wedding and Autumn was very helpful in nailing down the "day of" schedule in the weeks running up to the event. I was also thankful to Jacki for giving me a free trial after a scheduling mix-up on the first try. It was a bit difficult corresponding with Wedding Tresses farther in advance of the wedding, as they are understandably occupied with clients whose events come first on the calendar, and it can be a challenge to schedule trials at the Boston location, but I think they tried their best to accommodate me and make it work. There were also extra fees for travel/gas/parking and gratuity was assumed in the contract, but I expect those costs are consistent with vendors that provide similar services in the Boston area and probably are meant to provide for individual stylists.

Hair and make up for 11 people in only 5 hours! Wedding tresses had everyone looking gorgeous not only on time but ahead of schedule which really help put my nerves to rest! The designers are talented and easy to work with...they catered to what each girl wanted but still created a cohesive look for the bridal party! Happy I chose wedding tresses!

We had Jackie Norrie and her daughter for hair and Christopher for make up.
I need to start off by saying, Jackie has an amazing amount of talent. We had 5 girls altogether and she did all of our hair, in curls, intricate updos, and set in about 2 1/2hours. And they did not move all day, including taking a nap in it, and it stayed! I was not convinced it was going to be enough time and we were done early. Oh and we had 5 full make up applications which turned out awesome, everyone looked fantastic and natural while still looking glamorous. I have no idea how that's even possible. Not to mention they we all very kind when I started to get nervous and very aware of anything that might be stressful and not letting it get to me.
If you are looking for amazing talent and speed, they should be your go tos.
On the down side, they were difficult to coordinate with. I didn't end up booking them till 6 weeks before (late I know) and they gave me a reasonable price, so I booked them. I tried to get in a trial run for hair and they told me a date, then told me they had a last minute bride, and then 3 days later on a Friday told me, no it was open again, however no one is there on Saturday (nature of the business) and it was for the sunday. The office is only open 3 days a week 8-4 which is difficult as I work day shifts. I was given 4 different totals in 6 weeks time(however we agreed on the original amount) and Jackie was a little late the morning of, which she joked later was because she had been looking for an audio book on itunes (she was still done early)
For the price, I would have preferred easier communication leading up to the event, and I know that's a deal breaker for some.
But I totally give props to the talent that was shown and speed.

I want to start by saying that I loved my hair and make up on my wedding day. I also loved the hair and make up of my 5 bridesmaids, my mother, and my mother in law. Jacki is very talented and knows how to bring out the best in the way you look.

That said, working with Jacki created a lot of stress during the planning process. At times it took me several weeks to hear back from her. The week before the wedding I had a very difficult time getting in touch with her and it caused me a lot of stress. We almost had to hire someone else the week of the wedding.....

After finally getting a hold of her we had a clearing of the air and it was fine. She actually said that this experience is leading her to hire additional people to help her run the business so no bride has this experience going forward I hope that she does because she has great talent and I would hate for her to lose business.

Wedding Tresses did a good job with everyone's make up. The only thing i was not aware of was that I had to provide my own lip color and she used it for all 10 of my bridesmaids, therefore everyone was looking for my two tubes of mac lip glosses all night to touch up their lips. If I had known, I would have had everyone bring their own. Our make up artist was 43 mins late but other than that, the day went well.

It took an extremely long period of time and multiple emails and phone calls for us to finally get a contract from this vendor despite having already paid the security deposit for our wedding date. We also felt that it was challenging working with them in determining our schedule of appointments for the wedding day. Aside from the stress in planning, what may be more important in consideration is that they did an excellent job on everyone's hair and make up for the wedding. I am recommending them because, ultimately, the service they provided of wedding day hair and make up met our expectations.

First have to say Chris who did our makeup was GREAT!! All the girls and myself were very happy with him.
I did however have some issues with our hair stylist. First, the person who did my hair trial was NOT the stylist who showed up the day of the wedding, and nobody warned me of this. Annie showed up an hr late and blamed it on traffic (many people arrived at the hotel at the same time and nobody else hit traffic), she was also very unprofessional, blaming it on Jackie (the owner) for a "scheduling mix up". She also YELLEd at my mother who asked to use her hairspray, telling her that she needed it back NOW. Luckily she finished within seconds of us having to get on the bus, but the bridesmaid she was finishing at the time had to miss pictures in the lobby. Even though eveyones hair came out very nice the overall experience, which Is supposed to be fun was very stressful, and left a very bad taste in my mouth, so I would not recommend Annie, but again we
LOVED Chris.

I used Wedding Tresses for my own Bridal hair as well as hair styles for some of my bridesmaids and the two Mothers.

We had Christine as our stylist and she did a spectacular job! She was happy to try 3 different looks during my trial so that I could choose my favorite. She took tons of photos so that it could be perfectly replicated on the big day. Christine had a positive attitude and was very relaxed which is exactly what you want from the people around you on your wedding day. My hair style included real hair clip-in extensions and Christine did a great job of using them to make my hair appear fuller & longer.

I do have a couple of complaints as it relates to Wedding Tresses that are unrelated to the quality of the hair. 1) EXPENSIVE. This is not going to be one of your more thrifty choices. A minimum gratuity of 20% is required and after adding that in, each Bridesmaid/Mother had to spend $100 for their updo. I was also required to pay for my trial separately as well as pay for the parking of the stylist. Every single other vendor paid for their own parking..it should be a cost of doing business. 2) I felt that their means of communication was very impersonal. You have to go through a secretary of sorts for all communication prior to your wedding. They also have lots of little policies, rules, and contracts that seem like overkill.

Overall--Wedding Tresses does amazing work but I think you could probably find someone that could do amazing work that wouldn't cost you quite so much.

Wedding Tresses out of Plymptom was just good, not great, but only because I was not a fan of the owner, Jacki. Hair by Annie and makeup by Michelle were GREAT. They came through and I really liked both of them. The owner was too unresponsive, and as of the Friday before the wedding, I could not get a hold of her to find out when the stylists were showing up. She said she sent an email at the beginning of the week, but I never received it. Although this could very well be the case, I find 3 unreturned emails and 3 unreturned phone messages unacceptable the week before the event and I am actually very laid person back who put complete trust in my vendors. She said she was trying to be on vacation, but in my opinion, and speaking as a business owner, you must always have someone to get a hold of if you are away, in that type of business. I would also make sure that I actually hear from the bride as a confirmation. The only reliable communication I ever got from her was when she was looking for payment. She assumed her email went through and didnt care that I never actually confirmed with her. I chose them because they were local, but I would hesitate to recommend them fully at this point, only because of the owner. BUT I have heard other good reviews about them, so this might be just my experience. I think the stylists very nice, both were both experienced and everyone looked beautiful in the end.

I have never written a review before but my experience with Wedding Tresses was so poor, that I feel obligated to inform other brides!! The communication from start to finish was terrible. I think their wedding coordinator needs to find a new profession… Her communication was never timely and never thorough!! Don’t let their detailed contract fool you!! The communication was so bad that the artists didn’t even show up at the scheduled time because they were misinform by THEIR coordinator. At no point was I able to speak directly with the hair / make-up artists, which I think could have saved a lot of my time and aggravation!!

If you have any other choices, I would avoid booking Wedding Tresses. If I had to go through the process again, my easiest decision would be to select another hair / make-up vendor!! Depending on what stage of the wedding process you are in, you will find that communication is so important with your vendors and to have a vendor with such poor communication skills is an issue you don’t want to have to deal with!! They were the only vendor that stressed me out. I highly recommend you find someone else for your special day!!

Autumn did an amazing job on my 5 bridesmaid's hair! I had many problems with the business logistics of Wedding Tresses. Overall, I would not recommend this company based on the unnecessary headaches that came from inexperienced staff.

First and probably most importantly, I think the concept is fabulous! Having the stylists and artist come to us saved me so much time and stress, and that is my #1 reason why I chose Wedding Tresses, and would choose them again. This is brilliant.

I was a little disappointed with the email communications. There were a few emails of mine that were not responded to, and I think having both the owner and another employee responding to emails makes it easier to lose track of a couple here and there. I was especially disappointed when I asked a few times for a copy of the billing balance sheet (because they had quoted me at one price per service and then the first invoice showed a higher rate) and I really wanted to take care of all payments including the tip before the wedding, and they just sent me an amount due instead of showing how they calculated that number. So I paid, and then when I raised the issue about the discrepancy after I had sent the check, they responded that I'm paid in full, with no explanation. It's not a big deal and I really just wanted to be done with payments so I let it go, but I would have liked to see the balance sheet that I requested, and think this request honestly could have just been lost in the inbox somewhere. I did, however, appreciate the emails as we got closer to the day outlining the schedule, what to do to prep, etc.... very helpful!

I had a great time at the trial run in their studio in Newport! My hair stylist and makeup artist were great there, and I left feeling beautiful. Both the stylist and artist kept the photos (magazine clippings) that I had brought in for them to see my ideas. This is fine, however, neither of them had the photos on the day of the wedding (more to follow).

On the day of the wedding, the makeup artist arrived right on time and got set up and started with the girls. She was very professional and made my wedding party look stunning. She did a gorgeous job on both moms, which I'm sure was a bit more of a challenge. A few things that could have been improved: She took two full hours doing the makeup for one of my bridesmaids, including a complex smokey eye, eyebrow pencil and shadow, and individual false eyelashes. While this girl looked amazing, two hours was too long for one girl and didn't leave the time at the end we should have had. It may have been the bridesmaid's fault that she was indecisive and the artist was trying to please her, but there comes a time when she should have got to a stopping point and said she would fix "whatever" the issue was after the other girls were done. Secondly, the makeup for me was not very much like what the artist did at my trial run. She had written down what she used for the trial run, and had a picture of me (but not the picture that I would have liked to look like from the magazine), but when she was done I looked like an Asian Porcelain Doll (with Asian looking eyes). It was beautiful and artfully done, but by no means was it the dark brown smokey eye we had done at the trial run. Everyone said I looked beautiful and tried to make me feel better, but I knew it wasn't right. She gladly blended the eye makeup and it was much better, but it was a white-ish base with black-looking shadow and liner, and it really wasn't smokey at all (much more precise and defined). I think if she had had the magazine clipping she took at the trial run, she would have been better reminded. Then, right before I was about to leave the hotel, my maid of honor looked closely at my face and noticed that I looked like a patch-work quilt. From afar, you couldn't notice and I am sure these different shades on my skin were meant to show contour in the photos, but when I got up within 2 feet of the mirror I noticed she was right. The maid of honor grabbed her big makeup brush and blended everything a little bit and deemed it acceptable, and I'm glad she did because I'm sure there will be a few very close ups in which the multi-color skin may have been noticeable. The makeup artist did stay the latest of the three stylists, though, and tried to help me through the hair disaster, as explained below.

The primary hair stylist arrived about 20 minutes late. There was another Wedding Tresses wedding at the Wyndham Long Wharf that same day and she was in the wrong room. The second hair stylist (we hired two because there were 8 girls to do) arrived over an hour late, after several calls from the first stylist. I don't know where she was coming from or what happened. She said she got lost, but unfortunately that's not an acceptable excuse on someone's wedding day, and she should have built in more time for things like that. However, once she got there, she worked quietly and really hard to make up for lost time, which I really appreciated. Both stylists did a great job on everyone's hair!

When it was my turn for the primary stylist to do my hair, she said that she had left her camera and paperwork in the car that had the photo and info from my trial run, so I reminded her of what we did. We were doing a relatively high pony-tail with a big barrel curl in the back. Pretty simple and fun. In the trial run, the ponytail was slipping down, so the stylist said she would bring regular wide rubber bands to use instead of a hair elastic on my thick hair. She didn't bring any, but thankfully I had some with me. We then discussed the height of the ponytail and the volume "poof" for the front of my head. I asked her to do the pony pretty high, in case it started slipping, and I said that at the trial run we had started with a poof, then I didn't like it, but upon staring at it when I got home I wanted to try a little volume again this time. So she did a very high pony with a lot of volume. As soon as she was done I knew it was too poofy, so she combed it back a little bit and stuck a bunch of pins in to try to flatten it out. I got up and let the last girl get her hair done because we were running short on time, but as I kept looking in the mirror I was thinking it's too high of a ponytail (much much higher than the trial run... cheerleader-y) and too much poof for me, as I didn't think the poof looked good on my head at all. All the bridesmaids and both moms said it looked great and were trying to be reassuring, but I didn't feel good about it. The second stylist had already left and as the primary stylist finished her last bridesmaid, I told her I just don't think it looks right - it's too high and too poofy. She re-sprayed me, put more pins in, and pushed down on the pony and said it looked great, don't worry. Everyone agreed, but I should have stuck with my gut and told her to take it out and fix it. I didn't, and unconvincingly said "ehh alright," and she quickly left. I repeatedly said to my girls "this is not what it looked like in the trial run" and "this just isn't me," and they tried to be encouraging and kind. The makeup artist was still there and said I might try to put more pins in it to flatten it out, so I had my MOH try to sleek it back more, but it didn't really work. In the end, as the MOH was blending my makeup, I just said "screw it" and had a bridesmaid pull out every bobby pin, cut out the rubber band, and I re-did it myself. I combed down the poof, adjusted the height to where it was at the trial run, looped in 2 rubber bands, and my MOH used 2 pins to secure the wrap of hair around the elastic. We reformed the big curl and sprayed the heck out of it, and I had a HUGE sigh of relief and knew I made the right choice by re-doing it! Then I got married about 30 min after, haha. Long-winded story, sorry, but I was not satisfied. She didn't have her info from the trial run (why did I even do a trial run!??), then left a bride who was obviously not happy with her hair. I really should have been more assertive and clear about my dissatisfaction, but I hope she can learn to read a bride's emotions a bit better in the future. You can tell when someone feels beautiful, and when they feel awkward in their own skin. I felt the latter, and might as well have just done my own hair in the first place.

Overall, I was pleased with Wedded Tresses service. I would recommend them, with the only caveat being that bride must stand up for what she wants and not be afraid to be a little forceful. Although that shouldn't be necessary, not speaking up is my own fault and my only (huge) regret. I can't say that the problems I had with my own hair and makeup were bad enough to outweigh the good work that the team did on the bridesmaids and moms (although as I was about to cry pulling down my hair before re-doing it I was pretty upset), and in the end everything turned out fine.

If you are considering hiring Jacki Norrie to be your hair and make-up artist for your big day, please take the time to read this review in order to avoid a huge and costly mistake.
When I first met Jacki, it was for my trial run in February, several months before my wedding. She was not exactly punctual, but she was congenial and proved to be talented at hair and make-up. She created a gorgeous look for me as well as my mother for my wedding day, and I felt confident that things would go as planned for the big day. Boy, was I ever wrong.
On the morning of my wedding, Jacki texted me with some confusion regarding the hotel room I was to be getting ready in. After a brief correspondence with her and all details straightened away, I arrived at the hotel room at 9AM only to discover two women I had never met before in my life standing in for Jacki. This was a complete surprise, as she had failed to mention in her texts only moments ago that she wasn't coming. The new hair and make-up artists claimed she wasn't coming due to circumstances beyond her control. To say that I was upset is an understatement. During the trial run (which by the way, is an entirely separate cost apart from the service and must be paid in cash ... in other words, a complete hoax), Jacki wrote down all the products and colors she had used for my make-up and had taken 360º views on her iPhone in order to replicate the look for my big day. None of this information was passed on to the other stylists. I texted Jacki again and asked her to send me the pictures she had taken of my updo. NO response. Because of all this, it took much longer to get ready and achieve the look I wanted. The new stylist didn't even have the same eye shadows I was anticipating to be used, and the only saving grace was that I had a few photos of my updo on my phone that we used as a guide to create a similar look. This was the only vendor that stressed me out. Jackie and Kim were inflexible, unresponsive, and incredibly unprofessional. Their prices do not match the quality of service. They charged me $300 for gas money for the 2 makeup artists and 2 hair stylists. They took my credit card number and said that they would charge me if my bridesmaids and mother/mother in law did not tip them at least 20%. Who does that? Who insists that they automatically deserve a 20% tip?

They did not personalize the experience at all and would send me generic emails asking a questions that I had already answered. It took them weeks to respond to any question no matter how big or small. They made me sign a contract in October for my June wedding and when I found out two of my bridesmaids were unable to attend (because they were 7 and 8 months pregnant and it was illegal for them to fly across the country) they gave me a very hard time and made me fill their spots with makeup services although I asked to swap them for hair services.

I did my hair and makeup trial 1.5 month before the wedding (made a special trip from London for it). We took loads of pictures, but on the actual day the stylist did something drastically different. Hiring them is honestly the only thing I would have changed about the wedding. I am not normally someone who complains and I am an easygoing customer, but I must share my horrible experience to save someone else the untimely and unneeded stress they caused me and my bridesmaids on the wedding day.

I truly regret hiring Wedding Tresses. They were the sole source of stress on my otherwise unstressful wedding day. The biggest problem was the makeup artist, who was extremely rude, unprofessional, rushed, and unskilled. Most of my bridesmaids ended up removing the makeup she put on, as did I.

I have been trying for over a month now (unsuccessfully) to get a response from Jacki, the owner of Wedding Tresses, about how terrible of an experience this was. She has been completely unresponsive.

Highlights of the evening:
1) Without warning, the makeup artist was NOT the one who did my trial, nor did she have the notes from the trial (for which I paid a lot of money!).
2) The makeup artist had a serious attitude and immediately upon arrival started bossing people around.
3) She made nasty comments towards my bridesmaids, mother, and grandmother.
4) She did a bad job on almost everyone's makeup, and they had to redo it themselves.
5) I, the bride, was given exactly 15 minutes of her time (I was supposed to have an hour), and when I wasn't happy with the results, she said in a clearly upset voice, "Are you telling me I have to start all over again?!"
6) She left without notifying us or giving us a chance to get touchups and was overheard saying to the hair artist "I'm going to leave before anyone asks me to do anything else".

Looking at the other reviews posted here, it's clear that sometimes Wedding Tresses has done a good job, and sometimes they have not. The last thing you want on your wedding day is a wild card... look somewhere else for hair and makeup.
