Melinda was just brilliant - we eloped to Florida from the UK, so had only visited our beach wedding location on Google maps! She was flexible and patient with us and took time to get to know us and what we wanted from the ceremony. My husband’s family is Jewish and Melinda incorporated some of these cultural elements into the ceremony so that his heritage was acknowledged. Melinda was extremely responsive and transparent with pricing throughout. Highly recommended.

Perfect Ceremony, Heartfelt and Engaging
Rabbi Melinda Bernstein was the perfect choice to officiate our wedding. The ceremony she presided over was personalized, heartfelt, and engaging. Our guests are still raving about it!
We had a humanist/interfaith ceremony that incorporated a rose unity ceremony and a modern version of the Seven Blessings read by family members. She transitioned between each of these events with ease and flawlessly guided our family through their part of the ceremony. We felt like she truly exuded warmth and kindness, making our vows that we said to each other that much more special.
Rabbi Melinda was very accommodating of our needs, and even went above and beyond. She met with us via Zoom (we weren't local) before the ceremony and called us on our journey to wish us safe travels to Florida. She also asked us how we wanted her to dress for the ceremony and sent in the marriage license so we didn't have to worry about it. She arrived super early for the ceremony, answered our last-minute questions and put us at ease—again exuding a warmth and kindness that makes her extraordinary, and made us feel extraordinary.
We could not have had a more perfect ceremony, and we enthusiastically recommend her for our closest friends and family.

The best of the best!
Melinda was truly a blessing! We were scrambling to find a last minute officiant the day before as our original plan fell through due to a series of very unfortunate events. We came across the Wedding Officiants of FL on Google and I proceeded to give them a call hoping for the best. Melinda was on her way to the gym but still took the time to listen to my story. Not only did she agree to come wed us in a different county, but she also gave us a discount given that it was not part of our original budget. On the day of the wedding, we had even more delays but Melinda was very patient and proceeded to turn it into one of the most memorable days of our life. I cannot recommend her and her team enough. Melinda did a wonderful job serving as the officiant at our wedding. A few days before the wedding she asked each of us to describe three things that each of us values about the other. Melinda did a lovely job of taking the three things that each of us values about the other and weaving them into her presentation and into our vows. It was a lovely way to personalize what could otherwise have been a routine set of marriage vows. Melinda is also an extremely kind and warm lady and a pleasure to have as a participant in our special day. We highly recommend her to anyone who’s getting married.

Beautifully Crafted Ceremony by Melinda Bernstein!
We were so lucky to find Melinda on a whim with a simple Google Search. Right away we knew we wanted to work with her after exchanging a few emails. She was prompt, professional, warm, and very understanding of what my husband and I were looking for. Working with her really couldn't have been a smoother experience. We did a Zoom call a month before the wedding where she gathered some information about my husband and I, and she did such a wonderful job including it into her sermon. She also gave us options as to what type of wedding ceremony we envisioned and it couldn't have been more beautiful. A Wonderful Jewish Ceremony
My wife, Jenny, and I found Rabbi Melinda through WeddingWire and could not have been more pleased with how our ceremony turned out. We had a small, reform Jewish ceremony on the beach and it was intimate, spiritual and make us feel connected to each other and to our guests.
Rabbi Melinda was extremely communicative and collaborative as we planned our ceremony, and was very helpful in covering details big and small (providing us with our ketubah and glass to break, and noting to us that our ring bearers should use fake rings, for example). We're grateful she made the trek to our wedding on North Captiva Island (which you need to get to via ferry).
Throughout the process and up through the end of our ceremony, she was professional, kind and thoughtful. If you are looking for a Jewish officiant in south or southwest Florida, we'd highly recommend Rabbi Melinda!

Fantastic from start to finish!
Rabbi Bernstein was excellent from start to finish. My wife and I selected Rabbi Bernstein for our wedding in November 2020. I wasn’t sure what to expect since I grew up Lutheran, but the entire process was spelled out from the beginning, so there was absolutely no stress on our wedding day – trust me, that is a BIG deal 😊.
From the initial conversation, the expectations were set, and during our consultation, she got to know us not only as people but as a couple. The “ROADMAP” exercise is something neither one of us will forget and is a good reminder of how to continue developing and loving one another every day.
I truly enjoyed how the ceremony incorporated our values to a tee, and it was easy to follow for my family since most have never been to a Jewish wedding.
I would highly recommend Rabbi Bernstein!

Rabbi Melinda was truly so wonderful! I was unsure and nervous about finding the right fit for my fiance and I since we come from different faiths. Even in the middle of a Pandemic love isn't cancelled!
Bringing two people, two families, two values, and two religions together in a ceremony can be tricky, but Rabbi Bernstein handled it beautifully. My husband and I grew up in different religions, he is Lutheran, and I am Jewish. Early on I made it clear that I wanted a Jewish family, so when we got engaged it only made sense to find a Rabbi who would work for both of us, and start our Jewish home and life off on the right foot. Rabbi Bernstein listened to our needs as a couple, planned the Jewish ceremony that we wanted, which explained all of the traditions to our non-Jewish guests, and everyone was blown away at how beautiful of a ceremony it was.
Leading up to the ceremony we participated in Rabbi Bernsteins, “ROADMAP” premarital counseling, this was amazing and brought each of us to think about what we want to bring to our marriage and the responsibilities we have for one another. Sharing these with each other was truly a special moment. Everything from our initial conversation to the excited photo we took after our ceremony with our marriage license, Rabbi Bernstien made this the easiest and most enjoyable process, where we truly got to focus on our love, and she handled all of the other ceremony details. There are a lot of Rabbi’s out there, but with Rabbi Bernstein you can’t go wrong.

Best Decision We Ever Made!
With our original wedding plans cancelled due to COVID-19, we decided to have a small backyard ceremony/wedding with our close friends and family. REV. Scott is the go-to person for weddings. He was very thorough with us and took the time to get to know us before tailoring our ceremony. He is very flexible and accommodating in meeting our wants as far as how the ceremony would be conducted and what was to be said.
We had a possible hurricane bearing down on us and instead of locking us in to a time frame, remained flexible as to when our ceremony would take place. A great experience for us all around.

Rev. Scott was so kind and calm. As a covid bride, the road was not easy and each day filled with some obstacle. I was anxious and losing excitement. Rev. Scott and I had a phone conversation to discuss the plans of the ceremony. He was so calm and soothing to speak with. He encouraged me through faith and stories. He truly helped with the whole process and took away any questions or anxiety about the ceremony. He thinks of every little detail to include. I come from a Catholic family and not getting married in the Catholic Church was mildly upsetting for some; however, Rev. Scott was able to incorporate aspects of Catholic faith into the ceremony. It was beautiful and much appreciated. He takes care of everything from rehearsal to ceremony, which is good because the day really does fly by! Knowing we had someone so efficient and confident was a blessing. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a warm, respectful and detail orientated reverend for their special day.

Rev. Scott is absolutely incredible and I would recommend him to any couple looking for an officiant for a beautiful ceremony. From the very first time we spoke I could tell Rev. Scott was very genuine and caring. He was so personable and open, which made me feel like we picked the perfect person to officiate our wedding. Before the wedding Rev. Best reverend ever!
Reverend Scott completely exceeded mine and my husband's expectations for our wedding!
Let's start with a little back story...
We had our wedding booked for Sunday, March 22, 2020. We contacted Reverend Scott about 3 months prior to the wedding to see if he was available and would be a good fit for us. He scheduled a phone call with me almost immediately after receiving my initial email and was extremely thorough in explaining what services and packages he offered. Right off the bat, he seemed very wholesome and personable and I knew my mind was already made up to use him as our officiant.
He responded to each and every email I sent him promptly and we scheduled another phone call to go over specific ceremony details 1 month before the wedding. During that phone call, it came up that we had to put our cat (a family pet of 18 years) down earlier that day. Not even a week later, I received a beautiful card in the mail from Reverend Scott offering his prayers and condolences for the loss we experienced. The card brought tears to my eyes. I had only spoken to this man twice in my life and I already felt like he truly cared about us!
Fast forward to 1 week before our wedding date... our plans started to unravel due to all of the COVID19 craziness. I contacted Rev. Scott just to see if he was still willing and comfortable with performing our ceremony (I was hearing nightmares left and right about wedding vendors canceling on close friends of mine). Reverend Scott called me within the hour and promised me that he would marry us on March 22, 2020 - NO MATTER WHAT.
Our plans completely unraveled from there, we postponed the reception, our venue was shut down two days before the ceremony was supposed to happen. We switched ceremony locations a total of three times in two days. All Reverend Scott said was to tell him where to show up and what time the ceremony was happening, and that he would absolutely be there. He called me a couple more times the last few days before the wedding just to reassure me, calm me down, and discuss a few minor details.
Sure enough, come wedding day, he was there - earlier than he said he would be - and he performed an absolutely BEAUTIFUL Christian ceremony in my parents back yard.
He stayed after for pictures with us and even gave us something that we will both cherish forever.
Needless to say, Reverend Scott went above and beyond for our wedding. My husband and I are beyond grateful and we will be recommending him to absolutely everyone we know who is getting married. We will forever remember what an amazing Reverend we had for our wedding and we plan on using his services again for a longer ceremony/reception once all of the COVID19 panic blows over.

An Amazing Experience led by a Truly Amazing Reverend Scott!!!!
My wife and I planned our small, intimate, outdoor marriage ceremony at the very last minute. We reached out to Wedding Officiants of Florida, and from the moment we first communicated with Reverend Scott, we knew that he was the perfect person to officiate our ceremony! Just what we needed!
Even though we only spoke with Rev. Scott a few times by phone, and shortly before the ceremony began, that is all we needed! He has a way of making you feel very at ease with the situation and he always has answers to any questions that you could possibly have regarding weddings and get married in general.
His execution during the ceremony was exceptional with no hesitations whatsoever. I really wouldn’t feel right recommending anyone else to do a wedding. He is simply the best!

Thank you for turning a potential disastrous situation into the best day of our lives. Just three weeks before our wedding day, our original officiant cancelled on us. Rev. Scott is a must hire if you are need of an officiant... I'm a mister "know it all " and nobody can out do my ideas and thoughts. Once my mind is set, its set. Rev. Scotts experience and gentle approach enhanced my wedding day. He shared ideas in a suggestive way and had me looking at ideas I would have never thought of on my own. He has the ability to make your day exactly as you envision you day being. I wanted some religion but not to much out of respect to all beliefs and cultures. Rev. I would recommend Rev. Scott as the officiant only not to include the Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line. Rev. Scott was very helpful when there was no one available to turn to before the wedding ceremony. He was exceptionally kind with great understanding of the moment that brought a lot of stress for us when the wedding ceremony was delayed for about two hours.

I was most impressed with Rabbi Melinda who recently officiated at my daughter's wedding, a destination celebration in Key West on May 4, 2019. There were 100 guests from different religious backgrounds and she was universally praised for her meaningful and sincere spiritual leadership of the ceremony. Made the best day ever even better!
Trying to find an officiant was the scariest for us because we are both catholic, but since we were getting married outdoors, it wasn’t possible. I trusted the amazing reviews that reverend Scott had and had many nice conversations and emails (he is excellent with communication- much better than I was lol) and so I glad I trusted those feelings and words of others. He planned with us to make it our personal ceremony and he just made our day that much more special. He handled everything before and after. We already have an approved marriage license with county- he’s that good! If I could give more stars I would have! Thanks again Reverend Scott!

Beautiful Ceremony
Rabbi Melinda prepared a sweet, simple, loving and very special ceremony for us. We got married on the beach and wanted the setting to stand out, so she had a wonderfully creative solution to our lack of a chuppah - our parents held her Tallit over our heads to symbolize one. It was unique and perfect, and incorporated our families. She was incredibly easy to work with in the planning process, and very thoughtful. She found a special Katubah that fit our theme just for us and customized the ceremony to fit our requests, but also added her own personal touches. Rev. Scott Exceeds Expectations!!
My fiancé (at the time) and I were planning a destination wedding in Jupiter, Florida. After conducting online research for officiants in the area, we chose Rev. Scott primarily for the passion he displayed in a posted video of him officiating another couple’s ceremony. His well-designed and informative website revealed experience, professionalism, exceptional reviews, organization, and personalization. Those last two characteristics were especially important to me, because I am a Type-A person. 👍
A month before the ceremony, we had a phone consultation with Rev. Scott. Even though he clearly has more experience with ceremony design than me 😉, I was pleasantly surprised by his humble response to my proposed ceremony script. It was evident he wanted to do what would make us happy. He suggested tweaks and offered ideas based on his experiences, but he did not pressure us to do anything. We ended up using each of his ideas, because we knew they indeed would enhance the ceremony. The fact that we consulted with him for one hour revealed his patience and care. Because he truly wanted us to be comfortable with him as our officiant, he encouraged us to email him with any future questions. Then he reached out via email the week of the wedding to see if we had any questions or concerns.
The day of the wedding, Rev. Scott arrived at the venue 30 minutes early to introduce himself to our parents and to review their roles in the ceremony. He also conversed with our other guests. Fifteen minutes before the ceremony, we met with him for a final runthrough of the plan. Not surprisingly, he perfectly officiated the ceremony! Afterwards, he gave us a beautiful card and framed certificate. The day after the wedding, he emailed a personalized note with congratulations and well wishes.
Undoubtedly, Rev. Scott was willing to do whatever it took to ensure we were happy with his service. What exceeded our expectations, however, was his genuine care about our story and our happiness. 🥰

We felt the love!
Rabbi Melinda was a pleasure to work with. She was always pleasant and went above and beyond in every aspect. I did not have to worry about anything with Rabbi Melinda. She showed up early and even helped out where help was needed before the ceremony. Do not think twice about using Rabbi Melinda for your occasion.

Rev. Scott went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and ready for our wedding! He was super informative, extremely kind, and very easy-going. You could tell he really cared about us as individuals and he did an awesome job customizing the ceremony! He was easy to communicate with and completely professional! Perfect Ceremony
Rev. Scott was phenomenal!!! My husband and I could not have asked for a better officient. Scott took the time to really get to know who we were as individuals and as a couple. Additionally, Rev. Scott customized our ceremony to incorporate little things we say to each other through out our years together. That gave it a very personal feel. Thank you again Rev. Scott! You made our ceremony everything we dreamed of and more!

Reverend Scott did a fantastic job officiating our wedding. During the planning process he was very informative and made sure he created a ceremony that accommodated everything we wanted and how we wanted it. I started having a panic attack shortly before the ceremony and he was able to give me a little pep-talk that calmed me down and brought me back to the present moment. For someone who had never met me or my husband in person, he did a great job conveying our love story to our guests. Thank you Reverend Scott for being a part of this monumental time in our life-long journey together.

My husband and I were so blessed and happy to have had Rabbi Melinda officiate our wedding. She is a very warm, sweet, kind, and interesting person. She truly went out of her way to make our wedding details perfect. She was knowledgeable with regards to planning out all of the details of a Jewish wedding, enabled us to personalize the ceremony with our own details, and she went to great lengths to make the signing of our ketubah-Jewish marriage contract perfect and beautiful.
She was flexible with our wedding date and time, and showed up smiling, up-beat at 5:30 AM for our sunrise ceremony. She didn’t even complain about the the small rain shower we encountered, but had only positive and reassuring remarks. She even shared some photos and a video of our day with us. I don’t think we could have picked a better wedding officiant. Rabbi Melinda did a fantastic job and we highly recommend her!

Rev Scott, has a very sincere and spiritual way that he conducted our wedding ceremony. We felt that his words and acts where meant for us and that he truly spoke from his heart. The celtic knot tie was a very special addition to our ceremony. Two Thumbs way up!

We are thrilled about the absolutely perfect ceremony that was performed for our wedding. As the most important day in our lives, we consulted with more than 15 different officiants over 2 months until we found the perfect one! Immediately upon our first phone call, Scott was genuinely kind and professional. His office team was always available to answer or assist if he was unavailable. Having 330 guests of family and friends from around the globe, we were so nervous about the flow of the ceremony, but Scott made sure we were at ease and comfortable. He creatively customized such a beautiful ceremony, and was so engaging with us and our loved ones throughout the ceremony. His office team even took care of filing our marriage license so we could enjoy our honeymoon with no worries. After the ceremony our guests could not stop raving about how wonderful Scott was. They thought he was a best friend that had known us for many years. He truly made our special day a day we will always remember. There are many officiants out there, but Scott is hands down the best we found!

Scott was everything we could have wanted from an officiant and more. We wanted something quaint and romantic and Scott put our ceremony together perfectly. He was there for us whenever we had questions or concerns and gave us ideas that we hadn't even thought of. I can't say enough about him! Highly recommended!

We were lucky enough to have Reverend Scott officiate our wedding on 06/09/2018. The entire experience working with Reverend Scott from the very beginning was easy and stress free. We had several phone conversations discussing my wants and wishes to make my wedding ceremony special. Our wedding day was filled with hiccups and Reverend Scott was extremely patient and had encouraging words every step of the way. My family and friends loved the ceremony and felt that Rev. I think searching for an officiant was one of the hardest parts of planning my wedding. My husband and I did not want to get married in the church, but did want a religious ceremony. The first time I spoke to Rev. Scott I knew he was the perfect person to officiate our marriage. He was very personable and knowledgable in so many things. He went over the order of events with me in detail before, and included every little personal touch we wanted in the ceremony. The ceremony was beautiful, and all my family and friends complimented Rev. Scott on how well he spoke and the lovely ceremony he conducted. He is so professional and down to earth. I would highly recommend to anyone!

Melinda was wonderful and she save our wedding. We contact her one day before the wedding cause our previous officiant couldn’t made it to our wedding due to health collapse. We contacted her and she said yes right away, she worked with our script and edited by adding more wonderful details to the script.

Rabbi Melinda Bracha was wonderful! She was very responsive to emails and helped us build an incredible ceremony on our ideas and religious preferences. We would use her again in a heartbeat for any vow renewals or other spiritual services. Travel was no problem for her and she worked so well with out Bahamian Officiant as well, truly a gem!

Reverend Scott was extremely personable and attentive to all of our wishes and questions. We didn't really know we wanted, but as soon as we spoke with Scott over the phone we felt like he was an old family friend, and we knew he was the right person for our ceremony. Scott listened to us and quickly learned who we both are, and what to include in the ceremony. He was with us every step of the way, checking in, and assisting us whenever we wanted to add something else into the ceremony.
Scott really made our ceremony unique and representative of us as a couple. He made our wedding day stress free, and was punctual, polite, and knowledgeable on our wedding day. He knew that we were nervous, but he took the time to make us both extremely comfortable, and even walked us through some of the ceremony beforehand. Thank you Scott for all of your help and for making it such a special day!

Melinda was wonderful as the officiant of our wedding this weekend! We were referred to her by our planner and she was very responsive from the get-go. We had an initial introduction meeting, where we booked her services. She later sent us a questionnaire about how we wanted our ceremony performed and special details of myself and my husband to include in the ceremony. While we did not have totally traditional Jewish ceremony (I would say for the most part it was non-denominational) my husband is culturally Jewish and wanted to have a few traditions incorporated such as the breaking of the glass and a chuppah, which Melinda did a wonderful job incorporating. Melinda was very dependable and also had a calmness about her which made us very comfortable on our rehearsal and wedding day. I would highly recommend Melinda to anyone looking for a professional and loving officiant for their special day!
