Beautiful Elopement
My fiancé and I decided we wanted to elope within a week. I found Julie on a list of officiants in our area when we got our marriage license. I contacted her on FB and she promptly contacted me. We had a virtual meeting the following morning to discuss all the details to ensure our elopement ceremony was exactly what we wanted. She even helped us find a wonderful photographer! Our ceremony was perfect and all orchestrated in just three days. Without Julie, it wouldn’t have been nearly as nice. The elopement was more intimate and beautiful than I had ever imagined. Julie goes above and beyond for her clients. She loves what she does, and I can not recommend her highly enough! ❤️ -

The best officiant
Julie was so warm and welcoming. She celebrated our love long before we said I do. She curated a ceremony that was unique and personal to our desires and we are eternally grateful. She responded to all of our needs and requests very quickly. She had a lot of knowledge on vendors and service providers. She recommended an amazing make up artist to us as well as an accommodating restaurant for dinner. -

Warm, friendly, fun
Julie Dotson-Reid was wonderful to work with, she made our ceremony feel personal and special and it felt tailored to us. I was having anxiety the night before and she was more than understanding and comforting, answering my questions and making things feel calm and fun instead of stressful. I absolutely recommend her as your officiant for your special day! -

Richmond Elopement
Was a beautiful, small ceremony in the heart of Richmond. Julie was excellent; she and her husband were so caring and jovial. She respected our desires and prepared a beautiful ceremony which spoke to who we are. My Wife and I are so happy and thankful for Julie. -

The best Love story
I wish I could give Julie more stars than 5, I’ve never seen a ceremony so perfectly done. Julie gets to know the couple and the service reflects her knowledge of you. She’s very empathetic and very patient, Julie will tailor your service to give you the best ceremony a couple could ever ask for. Julie was so amazing, even the guest spoke highly of her. Julie’s bedside manner’s were awesome, I am so happy to have chosen her for this very special day. I highly recommend Julie for your service, trust me you will not be disappointed. Looking for an officiant? Look no further than Julie!
Julie basically saved the day for us! We found out a little less than a month before our wedding that our officiant couldn’t legally marry us due to some rules in Virginia. We contacted Julie off of a list that Chesterfield County provided us and I’m so glad we did! With Julie’s help we were able to have our family friend do the ceremony, so we basically got to get married twice😊Julie has such a calming presence and gave us a great keepsake for our wedding. If you are looking for an officiant, I cannot say enough good things about Julie! -

Absolutely wonderful
My husband and I had Julie come out to our home for our small ceremony.
She was so nice and professional. Honestly, I think this woman is the nicest person I have ever met.
She was kind to us and my husband's father and walked us through all the necessary steps.
I would absolutely recommend her services to anyone looking to get married.
I can't say enough nice things, she made the experience special for us.

Omg is one of the best words to describe Julie. She is such a beautiful person inside and out. My husband and I had the pleasure of using her services to renew our vows. Julie did an amazing job with our ceremony. We selected the marriage counseling/ ceremony package and were very satisfied with the services. Not only did Julie show professionalism, but true compassion. She assisted with a last minute florist, venue selection, and managed to help me stay calm! The skills we learned in our marriage counseling sessions are used daily in our home. She also contacts us every three months to see how we're progressing in our marriage (this part is optional). I highly recommend Julie Dotson to officiate any wedding ceremony, she's truly a gem! -

Julie was great and very courteous and helpful with everything I had going on. We fell in love with her during our first visit. When I contacted her, we had only one month before the wedding, so she made sure we felt like a priority especially with bring so close. Everything was great until it came to the ceremony. There were a few name blunders which our names are a bit difficult to pronounce so that wasn't a deal breaker for me. But when it came to us be pronounced as Mr. & Mrs., we were announced with MY last name. Overall she was great but my husband is still pissed about that, so I can't give a higher rating in value because it didn't feel worth it with the mistakes. -
