Michael and his team were AWESOME! From our first phone call with Michael, we could tell he goes the extra mile to learn about us and our vision for the day. He asked so many helpful questions, provided lots of wisdom, and is overall such a nice human, making the experience really great. The music for the night was a hit. Our dance floor was full all night long, and Michael added such a special, FUN presence. We couldn’t be happier we found him and his team!

The Best DJ Experience!
Michael from Wedding Music Charleston was the best. He was everything we could have for as a DJ and more. Not only was the music perfect, he was professional, considerate, organized, flexible and so pleasant to work with. He made working with a DJ no stress at all - he was so organized, and the music selection process was super seamless thanks to Michael's spreadsheet, which made it easy for me as a bride, when wedding planning can be so overwhelming. He knew what we needed, and provided it 110%. I could not recommend Michael more for your DJ needs - he really added something special to our wedding day.

Excellent Experience with Wedding Music Charleston!
Wedding Music Charleston & Michael Peifer did a fantastic job with our wedding. Working with them to plan everything was a breeze and they were completely experienced professionals. The wedding playlist options set a strong foundation for music choices for all aspects of our wedding, and we were able to seamlessly add specific requests in as well to really curate the music to our tastes. On the day of, the set up went smoothly and easily, our guests were able to hear us clearly during our outdoor ceremony, and the music for the reception, dinner, and cocktail hour was a hit with lots of compliments. Wedding Music Charleston gave us the confidence to know that our music and sound needs were in good hands, Michael was a very nice guy with a warm and friendly attitude, and we would highly recommend them to anyone looking for music & sound needs for their events. Amazing & talented DJ!!
We couldn’t have been more pleased with Michael’s exceptional performance! We had multiple people at our wedding comment that they wish we had recorded his live performance.. it was phenomenal! Michael not only put on a memorable live set but was also very keen on making sure he knew our schedule for announcements for cake, toast, etc. When it was time to start dancing, he had a perfect playlist of his own, and songs of ours that he incorporated. The best DJ EVER & wow what a phenomenal communication through out!!!! He was driving at times and couldn’t text so answered the phone to speak to me. Hired DJ for our wedding
We had such an incredible experience with our DJs! Earl kept the party going all night long! Our guests had such an amazing night. Everything was so perfect! Earl made sure everything ran smoothly the entire night and kept checking in with me and my husband to make sure everything was going the way we wanted! Best DJ in Charleston
Sincerely the best DJ we have ever experienced at a wedding. We were put in a sticky situation when our original DJ (not at all affiliated with Wedding Music Charleston) canceled on us a week before our big day. We reached out and Michael was so quick to respond- incredibly professional! To add to matters, our wedding was the weekend of Hurricane Ian! We were paired with Gregg who absolutely blew our minds!!! Not only was he incredibly kind and thoughtful throughout the entire evening, he was also energetic and fun (which really matched our group of guests and bridal party)!
My family, bridal party, and friends have all been raving about Gregg since our wedding day. It was an honor to work with him and Wedding Music Charleston. You can't go wrong with these amazing professionals. If I ever need a DJ for anything again, I would immediately choose them!! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making our wedding feel that much more special.

Michael was wonderful! Not only did he keep our party upbeat , he took requests in stride, was super flexible, and was an amazing value for our Charleston wedding. He definitely did a great job getting the vibe right for our group - 90s, dance hits, Latin, and salsa - he listened to our needs for our various guests and everyone had a blast! I felt so at ease knowing him and his staff were extremely organized and took my input and ran with it, it really relieved the pressure on more decision making during our night :)

Wedding music Charleston is amazing to work with. My husband and I met with the staff several times before our event to go over details so that we were all on the same page. They knew my local venue so well and were able to provide recommendations on location of different aspects of my wedding. The perfect experience
Michael was a pleasure to work with and made our wedding night a party we will never forget!! The absolute best wedding DJ experience around!
I loved my experience working with Micheal from Wedding Music Charleston. From the first day speaking with him he was giving me helpful tips that I didn’t even know I needed. His team works quickly to respond to emails. I even thought picking music would be easy but it was a bit of struggle for us and we didn’t know where to start. The excel sheet they provided broke everything up into sections making it easier to focus on a couple things at a time. When it came to the wedding day Micheal made sure everything went through as planned. We got many compliments on the music choices for different age groups and his great voice! I would 100% recommend Wedding Music Charleston for your wedding.

Well rounded incredible dj, musician, performer, person!
I absolutely ADORE this company and Michael especially!
He (and his assistant) were extremely helpful on quick responses, extensive guides and forms to walk me through the process of their services and booking, very punctual and reliable on setting up calls as well as day of attendance.
His tips were very helpful as well for what he needs with the venue or space and how to make my day smoother and better than ever WHICH HE DID.
I (the Bride) sat down once to eat and that is all! We all had such an amazing time we didn’t want to leave! He helped make the day amazing especially ever since having to postpone from October 10th 2020 and my services beforehand vanishing into thin air.
My contract consisted of mic and speaker for ceremony plus set up and coordination through the ceremony - went super smooth and he did great! He was so helpful when choosing certain songs and cues as to when he would transition. As well as cocktail hour guitar played by Michael, absolutely set an amazing mood for my guests. And lastly but absolutely not least the DJing throughout the night as planned through some chosen songs and requests from guests throughout the later portion of the night - Michael handled the madness, the time slots, and the song choices PERFECTLY. I also had a monogram projected on the dance floor that he ended up projecting on the wall later that was an awesome choice and I loved it. I can’t say enough great things! Very happy with how my day/night went and he really set me up for success when I get the crazy dance photos!

For our first dance, we wanted our dear friend to perform the song and he coordinated with her directly and made it happen. It was so special having her perform and we could not have made it happen without Michael!

Look no further, WMC is it!
Due to COVID we lost most of our vendors, it was one thing after the other, our original venue went under and we lost our deejay and photographer. Planning a wedding during the pandemic quickly turned into a lot of aggravation. Luckily we found Michael! He responded promptly and after a thorough conversation about what we were looking for I quickly called him back the next day and booked him. Our first reschedule was still affected by COVID (guests didn't feel comfortable traveling) Michael worked with us. He was understanding and flexible. Our second reschedule finally did happen and due to Michael's flexibility and being an experienced DJ it was a great success! He even figured out a quick mike fix at the last minute for our officiant. Michael is true professional and easy to work with. I would recommend Wedding Music Charleston 200%! We connected before the wedding to review everything and our vision and he executed it perfectly. The music flowed from our cocktail hour, to our ceremony to our reception. Our guests had a great time throughout the whole celebration- people were on the dance floor the whole night. Music is so important a bad deejay can definitely put a damper on your wedding. Absolutely amazing!
Gregg was honestly the best DJ we could have asked for. He made us feel so comfortable and had everyone on the dance floor. He was so kind and we enjoyed getting to spend our special night with him and have such special forever memories. The night would have not been the same without him and we are so happy we got some pictures taken with him and he got a chance to sign our guest book. We would 10/10 recommend him to anyone having an event and wants a fun, genuine person to break it down with!

MIchael and his team at Wedding Music Charleston are fabulous! We are, unfortunately, one of many couples who suffered from the scheduling impact that COVID had on our wedding... requiring us to change our date not once - but twice! Each time was emotional, frustrating, and stressful. Michael was understanding, flexible, and did his best to assure us that everything would be ok in the end, and it was! He was timely in his communication, responsive to email, call, and text, as well as flexible. His set up at the wedding was perfect, zero hick ups, and he helped with the moving parts of other key players that he was able to support. MIchael is not just professional, but we trusted him because we came to learn what a good man he indeed was... he has become a friend and we cannot recommend Wedding Music Charleston more!!!

Wedding Music of Charleston was a wonderful addition to our small wedding on Folly Beach. Michael was detail oriented, timely, and took time to understand what we were looking for from our DJ. Extremely attentive!!
Michael did such a great job! He very much knew what he was doing, which seems like it should be a given, but let me explain... Due to COVID, I met Michael on the day of the wedding, but he was thorough and ensured he had the info needed ahead of time. He was extremely attentive, even through the guests from across the room. I remember specifically at one point, I looked in his direction during a song and gave the slightest nod that no one else noticed. He quickly found a good spot to transition out of the song that was playing and into the next. We hadn't met before and never discussed specific cues I'd give, yet a VERY subtle, intentional gesture and he was on the same page as me. Aside from an amazing time we and the guests had, that is a detail I will always remember. He also stayed on track with our requests and everything went as smooth as anyone could possibly imagine. Michael was very comfortable with our venue which was a bonus to having him DJ our day. I'd recommend WMC any day!

I would highly recommend Michael and his team! He was so detailed oriented with what music we wanted and through every part of the wedding. Things I didn’t even think about he would bring to my attention. Our ceremony and reception were at two different areas of the venue and he made sure to have speakers set up at each spot so everyone could hear our vows and toasts etc.. we also did not have a videographer for the wedding but he had filmed parts of the wedding so we were able to make our own video with his footage. Everyone loved his playlist and had people dancing all night! Him And his team were great to work with and super responsive. I can’t say enough great things about them! I would highly recommend!

More than DJ for your special day!
Michael was an excellent DJ choice for our wedding for a few very important reasons:
1. He already had an extensive list of wedding playlists and popular music on Spotify and we used that platform to gather our own list and provide to him. This made picking out music for our ceremony and reception very convenient and low on stress (big deal when planning a wedding!).
2. He actually captured things on video from the wedding day as well giving us an additional option when we opted to not hire a videographer. He captured the bride's dad's speech which was something truly special and now we'll be able to cherish it forever.
3. He was flexible on his charges because of a drastic reduction in wedding size due to COVID-19 concerns. Knowing this is main form of revenue for Michael in a time where his business was certainly suffering along with the rest of the wedding industry, he was still accommodating and that was delightful.
4. He was punctual, prepared and had a positive attitude and smiling face throughout!

From our first initial contact, to when we walked into the reception we had nothing but open communication and he made all of the planning so much easier. Michael was so great from the very beginning! We appreciated how thorough, attentive, and collaborative he was. He was great at reading the crowd and kept the dance floor packed the entire night. Michael was absolutely awesome and made my husband's and my night one we will always remember. There was never a moment that the dancefloor was empty. We found Wedding Music Charleston through various searches for wedding DJs. They came highly rated and were a great value. One of the things I liked most was the transparency. When looking for a vendor you don’t have time to jump through hoops to find out package costs and what’s included. Michael was very responsive and sent a lot of information. He was great to work with and takes lead on everything needed to make your wedding go as planned. Michael was very detailed and spent a lot of time making sure I understood the flow of the evening and that he incorporated what we wanted. Married at the Pelican Watch Pavilion on Folly Beach
Michael and his team ABSOLUTELY KILLED IT!! Every time I considered taking a break from the dance floor, they played another song that I just couldn’t miss. They kept the dancing going all night and our guests commented to us several times on how much fun they were having with the music selection- from “I Feel Like a Woman,” to “Breaking Free” from High School Musical. Communication was great from the day I reached out to them, to the night of the reception where they catered to my every request and gave me advice on how to make the reception flow appropriately. Michael even helped coordinate a surprise dance that my family put to together for us that night! Additionally, I loved that Michael took the time to step out from behind his equipment that night to comment on the energy level of my guests and the fun he was having with them- it made me feel like he was truly engaged and part of the celebration! Michael with WMC was wonderful from the first meeting to last song of the reception!! He approaches his job with incredible organization and has been doing weddings for so long he considers every detail in advance (which is super helpful when I wasn't always thinking of all those small things!) Sadly, our DJ passed away four days before our wedding. My mom and I kept searched for someone to take his place. Happy to help, Michael (Wedding Music Charleston) offered his DJ services. He immediately got on the phone with me and helped me get things in order. When I was unsure of what music or when to do certain things, he helped and gave suggestions. At the reception, he had the crowd pumped! He would reach out to myself or the groom to see if we wanted anything and ask how we thought things were going. They also took videos during the reception. He even stopped by the venue the day before during reception to meet us and view the venue. We are so grateful for him and his company! He was very kind, attentive, and fun! This company has great prices and won't let you down! Planning a wedding can be stressful especially if you're planning during COVID-19, but he helped reassure us that things would be great! Charleston Wedding Music
Michael and his company were so accommodating and flexible with us while planning the music for our wedding. Amid the COVID pandemic, he was willing to work with us to make our wedding as special as originally planned. The music selection was perfect for the occasion and the song choice kept everyone dancing all night long. Wayne's guitar playing made our ceremony incredibly special and was definitely a highlight for us. We would very much recommend using Michael and Wedding Music Charleston!

Great last minute decision!
Wedding Music Charleston was the best decision we could've made for our wedding! We almost decided to go without a DJ altogether and then we found a package that suited our budget. Michael wanted to make sure we had the best day ever so he worked within our budget to make sure we had all of the aspects we wanted for our wedding. He even got some footage of our wedding which is SO valuable to us since we couldn't afford a videographer. Thanks Wedding Music Charleston for being willing to work with our budget and for helping me plan a wedding that was 4,000 miles away!

Leap Year Wedding
If I could give 10 stars I would. We used Wedding Music Charleston for our Leap Year Wedding and I couldn't have asked for anything better. For starters, I had no idea what I was doing (I am not a wedding planner by any means) and Michael was extremely patient with me and helped guide everything in the right direction! And our wedding/reception day was AMAZING. And I would recommend them/him to anyone who needs music for their Wedding/event! And he tolerated our crazy guests! Literally cannot thank yall enough!

Absolutely hands down a MUST HIRE!!!!
Michael with Wedding Music Charleston made our wedding day an absolute dream! He understands the stress placed on couples when planning a wedding, and he truly tries to help any way he can. He really makes himself available at all times and works with your schedule to make sure that the music aspect of your wedding day is something that you do not need to worry about. Michael was with us every step of the way when planning the wedding and he could not have made it any smoother of a transition for our day.
Not to mention the music selection was SPOT ON. He had EVERYONE dancing! From my grandparents to the little children- he had the whole dance floor moving! The variety of music and the timing of when they were played was absolutely perfect.
OH. And did I mention that he took amazing pictures/videos on that day as well?! I mean he truly does it all!
Do yourself and your significant other a favor and book Wedding Music Charleston and rest assured that this will be one thing you will definitely NOT have to stress any more about during your planning.

This man is simply the best. Little more can or needs to be said; he is extremely professional, went above and beyond, took special care and direction for our special day that truly elevated the event. Somethings are essential to a wedding, somethings cannot go wrong and Mr. Peifer not only delivered but exceeded every expectation. He and his team care about you and making sure your day is special, and after all isn't that what we are looking for in venders for our special days?

Most unforgettable and memorable day of our life.
Thank you so much for making our wedding (Medicine Wind Farm on December 8 2019) the most memorable day of our life. We couldn't have chosen a better DJ for our ceremony/reception, you were fun to work with and helped make our Love Story unforgettable. Michael Peifer went out of his way (which wasn't expected but very much appreciated) by offering to give the Blessing before dinner, easing my daughter nerves when she sang our first dance song live with her boyfriend playing the guitar and giving us pictures/short video (which I'm super excited to see soon) of our wedding. This just shows that you not only love/enjoy/take pride in what you do but you give back to your clients (Bride & Groom) with excepting nothing in return. Because sometimes the smallest things people do means the most.
Everyone had a great time on the dance floor including myself (as if you couldn't tell lol) you did such an amazing job! You not only brought music to the air and kept us on schedule, you also joined us on the dance floor with some great dance moves, which we are still talking about.
Michael we're truly blessed and appreciative of your top notch service and have already started recommending you and "Wedding Music Charleston" for upcoming events.
Honestly I usually don't give reviews because I look at it as everyone has good/bad experiences (which probably has a lot more to the story which isn't told, and the company doesn't get to see or respond to it before it's posted but has to live with that review) but I look at it as "I hired a company for a service and I except them to do what they were hired for.... period. Plus people just don't have time, in the world we live in these days. But it's very rare to come across a company that goes out far beyond that they were hired to do, just to make the most important day, stress free and making it the most memorable day of their lives and I can say with no hesitations that's exactly what Michael Peifer with Wedding Music Charleston gave to not only for my Husband and I but everyone that came out to celebrated our Wedding.
If I could give more stars then 5 I definitely would....

Michael did an amazing job at our wedding. He was so professional and available to meet anytime I wanted to leading up to the wedding. He was very prompt setting up and very detail oriented. We spoke the week of the wedding and hammered out details and everything went very smoothly the day of the wedding. Couldn’t be happier. Would highly recommend.

Incredible!!!!
After choosing a date and a venue, picking a DJ was the first thing that I did. Michael was amazing from the very beginning. I found him through a wedding planning app, inquired and he responded and gave me a quick call to follow-up all in an hour. The planning process was so simple and organized, which made it easier on my husband and I when we had other vendors to juggle.
On the day of our outdoor wedding, it was an unseasonal 40 degrees, pouring rain and very windy. It was not the idea situation and it was plan B all the way! Michael was so great in helping us to rearrange the timeline in order for things to run smoothly and to keep our guests dry. Nothing went as planned, but he actually kept me calm because he was flexible and understanding of the situation.
When it came time for the dance floor to open, despite the weather, Michael kept everyone moving the entire night! We ended up having a full dance floor until the very last second. The music was perfect. The formal dances went off without a hitch. The introductions and speeches were well organized. I couldn't have asked for a better DJ and we're so glad that we chose Wedding Music Charleston. I'd give them 10 stars if we could! Thank you, Michael, for everything!

Personal and quick!
Wedding Music Charleston was the only dj I met with because of the raving reviews and they were right! I spoke to Michael almost immediately after my inquiry and he was extremely helpful and ensure my wedding will fit me and my fiancé’s needs. I live out of state and he was sure to accommodate my music and financial needs. His staff is also driving 2 hours to Pawleys Island for my big day. I can’t wait to dance the night away with the hired DJ of the group, Earl!

Awesome Wedding DJ!!
Wedding Music Charleston did an amazing job as DJ at my wedding, and I would hire them again in a heart beat. Michael, the owner of the company and who ended up working my wedding, is definitely a seasoned pro. Michael was amazing! Highly recommend! Kept the night going smoothly and helped the wedding planner stay on track with the timeless. Great with Ques on when to end songs. Out of all the Vendors I had I would say MICHAEL was the one that I didn’t have to worry about. I was a very particular bride and found myself correcting everyone else but MICHAEL was perfect. Save yourself some worry and book him for your wedding!

Everything we hoped for!
We had our wedding on November 8, 2019 and had Michael come play acoustic music for our ceremony and our reception. It was all perfect! My guests are still talking about him and how good he was and asking for a CD to play at home! He played many different songs we loved that catered to so many different ages in our party. We couldn’t have had a better music choice for our day and you won’t go home sad if you have Michael come play for your day!

10/10 would hire again!
Michael is the best! He is more than a DJ-when I hired him, I felt like I had a wedding planner as well. He is so experienced with weddings and timing and read the crowd extremely well. I am not a very intense person, and his relaxed and positive attitude was exactly what I needed. You can trust him to get the job done without having to make it a stressful experience. He had plenty of suggestions when we needed them but let us take the reigns if and where we wanted to. One of my favorite things about Michael was that he allows you to make Spotify playlists and add him when you are ready. This was SO much easier than keeping track of a list of songs we wanted and allowed us to just continue adding to that playlist as we heard songs throughout the year planning. Before the wedding, he called me to go over the details and asked specific questions on what not to play and how much freedom we wanted him to have based off the list we gave him. Also, he offered to stay as long as we wanted to pay him, which was awesome because I was not into the hard cut-off time for music if we wanted to keep it going. My friends have been texting us that it was the most fun they have had at a wedding. We danced the entire time! 10/10 would hire again!

Wedding Music Charleston did an incredible job for my wedding. They executed ceremony music, a live band and DJ. They made our wedding so special! Michael has been a pleasure to work with leading up to the big day and has been very professional and helpful. I can not recommend them enough!! Run to book them now. You won’t regret it!

Best DJ around town.
I had my wedding on 9-14-19 and the DJ Gregg was absolutely amazing. I had met with owner Michael, prior to wedding to go over and review everything I wanted and needed to make the day special. He was booked for that day but had his partner Gregg available. I put my faith in Michael knowing I would still have a perfect reception and DJ. Met with Gregg a week before wedding and he was awesome! The day of, went so smoothly and Gregg took control and made it to where I could relax and just enjoy the night. He kept everybody on their feet and dancing. Gregg is so pleasant to be around and super friendly. Gregg and Michael are top notch and I’m so blessed to have found them and booked with them to make my reception so fun! Price is very reasonable for the quality of work done. I recommend them to anybody looking for a professional and friendly DJ. Thank you Michael and Gregg

Made our big day Great!!!
From start to finish, we felt that we had music covered and were comfortable knowing that Michael would take care of all our music needs. Michael sent over a VERY detailed spreadsheet for us to fill out with all the times for events and each and every detail for music that we wanted. If we didn't know specifically what we wanted, we could just put down general music themes and Michael had them covered perfectly on the big day. He was prompt, professional, a great MC, and always responsive. He has all the sound/PA equipment you'll need and you can rest easy having them run the music for your wedding! Would highly recommend!

Best dj ever
We hired Michael to DJ our wedding. While we were talking to him we had mentioned looking for someone to possible play live music for the ceremony. It was then that we found out that Michael was able to play guitar and sing. During and prior to the ceremony, Michael play the acoustic guitar (solo) to several choices of music we had. Prior to the date he had practiced and even made sure we were comfortable with it. He did amazing. After our ceremony for the send off, we asked Michael to play some Hootie and the Blowfish and if he felt comfortable with singing the song to go for it. He played and sang Only Wanna Be With You and blew it out of the water. After the ceremony Michael transitioned into DJ mode. He got the party started during the Happy Hour. Before it was time to introduce the bridal party and the bride and grooms grand entrance, our wedding planner started getting pushy and was trying to force Michael to begin introducing us before the photographer was set. He stood his ground to make sure that we were able to get the pictures to capture our day. In addition, Michael took it upon himself at no extra cost to us to record key things from the wedding. This including our vows, first dance, last dance and a few other things. These were appreciated more than he knew. My son was sick during the reception and was not able to be out there for most of it. While we were waiting for our limo to get there, the wedding planner told the photographer that we had already left. We made it on the floor for one more slow dance and my son was able to come out there and dance with me and my new bride. If it wasn't for Michael I would not have had anything to capture the moment. Mizzell Wedding at Pepper Plantation
We had our weeding at Pepper Plantation in Awendaw with the wedding outside and the reception inside. This vendor was very well organized and offered everything you need or want to make your special day just perfect! They were able to put a microphone on the pastor and the musicians so that all of the ceremony could be caught on our video. They also made everything throughout the reception have a fantastic flow. They offered a wide variety of music that kept the dance floor full for the entire event...THANKS WEDDING MUSIC CHARLESTON FOR MAKING IT AN UNFORGETABLE DAY!!

One of the best in the business
Michael and Wedding Music Charleston were outstanding. I'm so glad that we went with them for our wedding DJ services. He's professional, and it's clear that he's experienced because he really knows his stuff. He was able to provide helpful advice and guidance in the weeks leading up to the wedding, and was able to clearly communicate what he needed from us to make sure that our wedding music and dances went perfectly. Even on the day of the wedding, he was easy to find and talk to if there were any last-minute updates to the schedule or announcements to make to our guests. The only thing that I noticed that seemed like a minor difficulty is that he may take a few days to respond to emails. You might like quicker responses and assurance to avoid too much stress in your wedding planning, but the response time is completely understandable knowing that he's busy and has several events on his schedule. I would definitely recommend Michael and Wedding Music Charleston to anyone looking to music or DJ services for any special event! Their prices, performance, and helpfulness are unmatched.

Best DJ We Could Ask For!
I cannot say enough good things about Michael and Wedding Music Charleston! Our wedding was more than I could have dreamed of and a lot of that had to do with him! The music kept the party going all night and our guests continue to comment about how great of a job he did.
Michael is so helpful, he sends a detailed spreadsheet where he has you select a song for every part of the day--and if you don't have a preference, he chooses something that works wonderfully. I really appreciated that he set up a phone conversation for the week of to go over final details, it made me feel like he really cared and prepared for your big day.
And best of all, his pricing cannot be beat for what you get! If you make any decision for your wedding, choose Michael and Wedding Music Charleston (you won't regret it)!
