I had the pleasure of having Julie marry my husband Michael and I this August and it went perfectly. The months leading up to the wedding we had a call with Julie and instantly felt at ease and confident that Julie was the right person to help us say I do!
She had a whole packet that guided my husband and I into choosing the readings that would work for our dream ceremony.
The rehearsal the night before went so smoothly as she walked Michael and I through the ins and outs of the ceremony, then guided our family and friends through our ceremony.

We were incredibly fortunate to have Julie Draper marry us in an intimate elopement ceremony on July 22 at the beautiful View Point Hotel in southern Maine. From our very first conversation, she was warm, professional, and genuinely invested in getting to know us. She took the time to thoughtfully interview us, learning about our relationship, our journey, and what truly mattered to us as a couple.
The ceremony she crafted was nothing short of perfect. Julie made our wedding the beautiful day that it was. I cannot say enough about how awesome she is, but I will do my best here:
Julie put me at ease from our first conversation. She understood my anxiety about being the focus of attention and explained that she would take us through the ceremony step by step, so Tim and I could simply focus on each other.
When it came to how we specifically wanted the ceremony to go, Julie provided us with many written examples, from the “welcome” to the actual vows. That was so great for us and we were able to choose what was just right for us.
Julie went above and beyond our expectations, from helping adjust dresses and pinning boutonnières to snapping pictures! And the way she guided us through the entire ceremony, before, during, and after was so, so helpful.
Julie is wonderful. She is professional and kind, and she emanates joy! It’s obvious that she truly enjoys what she does.

The Perfect Experience for Our Elopement!
Julie was the perfect choice to officiate our elopement.
From the start, she was communicative, supportive, and genuinely excited to help us craft a ceremony that felt personal and meaningful. She guided us through the process with warmth and flexibility, allowing us to have input on every detail.
Since we were eloping in a place we’d never been before, Julie was incredibly helpful in scouting and recommending beautiful ceremony locations. On the day of, unexpected weather forced a last-minute change — and she didn’t hesitate to adapt. She even drove an extra 30 minutes to meet us at the new location, which we were so grateful for.
The ceremony itself was absolutely perfect — heartfelt, intimate, and exactly what we had hoped for. Julie even took a few lovely photos for us afterward, which was such a thoughtful touch.

Julie was the perfect person to officiate our elopement! From the moment we reached out to her, she assured us that the process should be exciting and easy-going, not stressful and overwhelming! She checked in several times leading up to our special day, and even gave a great recommendation for a local flower shop since we were visiting from out of state and didn't know the area. She let us make as many revisions to the ceremony script as we wanted, no matter how minor, and never made us feel like a burden. Julie was amazing from the second I reached out to her inquiring about availability. She was extremely responsive (within a couple hours…even when she was out of the country on vacation). She provides you with a wedding guide with endless choices to choose from for your ceremony as well as instructions for applying for a marriage license. We didn’t meet Julie in person until the night of our rehearsal and I honestly wish we had met her sooner. She instantly felt like family to us. She was so warm and welcoming and reassured us multiple times that she was going to guide us through our wedding day. Maine Wedding
My husband and I chose Julie Draper to officiate our June 2023 wedding in Maine. It was extremely important to us that our officiant create a ceremony that was unique to us. Julie not only accomplished this, but she exceeded our expectations! She took the time to get to know us and provided us with a wonderful guide that allowed us to personalize our wedding ceremony. Best Officiant Ever
Julie from the start made us feel so comfortable and heard. Her packet to help plan our ceremony out was incredibly helpful and with so many options in it we were really able to make it our own. The rehearsal she put our minds at ease with such a large wedding party she really focused on us. On the day of she even added in important details for us during our handfasting part, to include our fur babies. I highly recommend her to anyone looking to get married.

Julie was our officiant for our wedding this June, and we cannot say enough positive things about her. She was AMAZING. We initially met with her for a consult over the phone, and as soon as we hung up we knew that she would be perfect! She was so responsive, and made the whole process so effortless. The ceremony guide that she provided to help us with our ceremony was spectacular. Her kind presence, and calm demeanor made us feel so comfortable and she walked us through every part of the ceremony. When we were up there all we had to focus on was each other! There is not a single thing we would change about our ceremony and would HIGHLY recommend!!

Amazing officiant for a memorable elopement

Julie Draper was more than an Officiant to us, she truly made our wedding complete. We hired Julie Draper to be our officiant after a lovely phone call in which she seemed so warm and kind. In person, she is even better! She made our rehearsal easy and low-stress. On the day of the wedding, she was amazing in both her calm presence and the way she presents your ceremony, which you can personalize yourself. A fantastic experience!
We can’t say enough great things about Julie! She was easy to work with, warm, and flexible, and made us feel so comfortable! Neither my husband nor I enjoy being the center of attention and were both having some anxiety/stage fright about the ceremony, but Julie kept us calm and composed the entire time. Her outline was great, and we were really able to pick and choose a ceremony that captured us as a couple (and even included our dog!). Even though we had only had a quick phone consult with Julie before the rehearsal, we definitely felt like we knew her by the end of the weekend.

Julie is BEYOND wonderful and SO sweet. She's extremely helpful in every way. My husband and I live in Vermont and got married in Ogunquit, she made everything so easy. When I found Julie on Weddingwire we arranged to have coffee to chat and become acquainted. I found we had several things in common, which is always nice. But Julie’s warmth, ease of conversation, openness, and comfort with the process were reassuring. Julie provided samples and ideas for the ceremony to use or customize for your personalized service. A day before check in call found a glaring gap that Julie helped rectify. At our wedding Julie was warm an professional engaging sweetly with the 4 y/o ring bearer and greeting all the guests. Wedding In York Maine
Julie made the ceremony part, easy and stress free while still making it fun and all about us. We got to choose what we wanted in the ceremony, and what we read and what she read. Julie was awesome to work with made the ceremony part the least of my worries while finalizing and finish planning the wedding. I had so many complaints after the wedding as to how perfect the ceremony was and how it was perfect and matched our personalities, people also asked how long we knew Julie, and I said a couple months while making the ceremony. She was honestly the best to work with.

Julie was amazing.
Julie Draper made our wedding so beautiful. She was great to work with every step of the way. On the day of the ceremony she was in total control. She even jumped in and saved the day when my photographer didn't show. It was so clear that she loves her job and people. We feel so blessed that we found her on Weddingwire.

Amazing officiant
Julie is a wonderful officiant. She is kind, so knowledgeable, and makes you feel really comfortable about the whole process. I loved how we were able to customize our ceremony to make it as long/short or as personal as we wanted. She was super responsive throughout the whole process as well. 10/10!

So happy to have Julie officiate our wedding!!
We were planning to elope abroad but decided to do the legal piece at home first, and to do so with an intimate ceremony with a few family members. Julie was the ultimate professional and went above and beyond every step of the way. She was consistently quick to respond and provided us a TON of amazing suggestions for ceremony elements and wording (while also giving us ultimate flexibility in adding/removing/editing our ceremony to our heart's content). She helped us in thinking through various options and making sure we had everything we needed lined up (i.e., marriage license). On the day of our ceremony, she was a total trooper, clamoring over the rocks at Two Lights with us to get to our selected spot. She has such a warm, welcoming, and lovely presence, and she did an amazing job performing our ceremony. To top it all off, she took a ton of great photos afterwards to share with us. Julie helped make our short and sweet ceremony so special, and we'd 100% recommend working with her! Julie, we can't thank you enough for a perfect day!

Julie was great!
Julie is very professional, knowledgeable and has a warm calming personality! She helped us through the whole process of preparing the paperwork for the wedding. She was so helpful When it came time to select all of our readings for the ceremony. She was friendly and made myself, my groom and our guests feel so comfortable. She was also punctual and very open to any suggestions we had. I would 10/10 recommended her!

She made everything easy!
Julie was great to work with! She was very flexible and made it very easy to plan out our ceremony. We found her through Wedding Wire, but she also came highly recommended by our DJ. She knew exactly what needed to be done and made the process of filling the marriage license seamless!

Absolute joy!
Julie is such a warm, lovely person! As soon as my now-husband and I talked with her for the first time, she made us feel at ease and cared for - and she did the same on our wedding day (when my knees were shaking!). She had no qualms with the fact that we didn’t want to have to talk during our ceremony, and gave us all the tools we needed to craft a ceremony that felt true to us. Her ceremony guide allowed us to pick wordings that were meaningful to us, and she also gave us prompts to learn more about who we are as a couple. The ceremony she wrote using our picks from the guide and the answers we gave her was absolutely beautiful and truly captured our story and our relationship. Like some other reviews have mentioned, our guests were shocked to find out that Julie wasn’t an old friend of ours! I am so grateful we got to work with her and highly recommend her to anyone seeking an officiant who goes above and beyond to make your ceremony special and joyful!

Don’t look any further. Julie is just amazing. From the first email with her I just knew she would be perfect for our special day. She gives you all the information you need to make the ceremony exactly catered to you, with as little or as much reading/ vows as you want. And she is so sweet and caring. I highly recommend her!

Wonderful officiant in Maine!
Julie was amazing to work with throughout the planning process for our August 2021 micro-wedding. She was always very responsive and the planning guide for creating our ceremony made the process easy while allowing us to still incorporate our own voice and ideas. When we met Julie in person on our wedding day it was like we had known her forever and she was immediately part of the family. From easing our nerves and bringing a happy and relaxed vibe to the day to going above and beyond helping pin boutonnières - I really cannot say enough about how wonderful working with Julie was!

Like having your best friend officiate: a cheerleader from the very start who shows you how to personalize your vows and can refer you to her "dream team" network of friends for photography, flowers and really anything else for your best day ever. Julie was highly recommended by the concierge at Hidden Pond, truly a gift to us since we live on the other side of the country and--at the end of the day--you can't do your day over if you make the wrong choice. Her warmth, professionalism and clear delight in making this important chapter in our love story the one we'll never forget allowed us to just focus on each other rather than any of the many lesser details that shape a wedding day. Still basking in the afterglow, I would encourage you to consider how you want to spend your time before and during your day. Making Julie part of that will be the secret to your success.

Julie was an absolute pleasure to work with! She was a recommended vendor from the Cliff House, Maine and we are so thankful to have found her. Our entire family couldn’t stop talking about how beautiful our ceremony was and it was all thanks to Julie! The actual ceremony is the most meaningful part of the day and she did an incredible job to set us up for success with her ceremony guide! Not only did she provide us with a ceremony outline and a number of options to choose from (beginning to end) she answered questions and walked us through it every step of the way. On our rehearsal and wedding day, Julie was early to arrive, worked great with the other vendors and was very professional. She offered to run through the rehearsal a couples times to make sure that we were confident in where everyone needed to be and subtly queued us for what we needed to say. My wife and I were extremely grateful for her flexibility and the positive energy that she brought as our officiant.

Julie was so incredible to work with! She is extremely organized, professional and down to earth. When we first reached out, we scheduled a video call and we knew right away that we wanted Julie as our officiant. She provided us with a ceremony outline, which included a variety of options to select from in order to customize our ceremony exactly as we wanted. She worked with us to make the ceremony flow just right. Her energy, positive attitude and true passion is what we loved most about Julie!! She was quick to respond to every inquiry and extremely flexible with rehearsal and the day of wedding schedule. There were predicted storms scheduled for our outdoor wedding and we had discussed the possibility of moving our ceremony up by a couple of hours. Julie offered to arrive at the venue whenever worked best for us, in order to proceed with our outdoor wedding. She made our wedding day so memorable! She is absolutely incredible and we can’t say enough about her as our wedding officiant!

I stumbled across Julie’s reviews when searching for an officiant for our beach wedding and decided to give her a call. She answered the phone right away (how lucky was that) and not only was she knowledgeable and professional but helpful and sweet as could be!!! I could tell right away she was exactly what we were looking for. From preparing for our ceremony, providing tips on vendors and the best way to apply for a license during these COVID times to the very day of our wedding Julie was outstanding. She was way beyond reasonably priced which was an added bonus! Although we didn’t meet her until the day of our wedding we felt like we knew her for years!

Julie was such a pleasure to have as our officiant! She made everything easy and is so kind and friendly. Julie was super well-organized, with suggested readings and alternative ways of saying our vows, and was also very flexible with how we wanted our ceremony to go. We had her officiate a small ceremony last summer (due to COVID restrictions) and loved her so much we had her officiate our larger ceremony this summer as well. Highly recommend!
