Melissa is absolutely amazing! I had a specific vision for the feel of our florals and had planned every detail in my mind and just based on a few Pinterest pins Melissa was able to deliver EXACTLY what I wanted. I gave her my initial ideas and she came back with a game plan and a list of specific florals and greenery which matched just what I wanted used. I felt at ease asking her to make little changes and updates as the day grew closer and even on the big day itself she was quick and more importantly happy to make the few small changes I decided last minute. Melissa was a pleasure to work with every step of the way and she worked with our budget to make all my wedding floral dreams come true! She is the truly the best! -

Melissa is AMAZING!!
The moment I started to look for a florist, I was worried because I had no idea what to expect and I only knew that my favorite color was purple and Sunflowers are my favorite flower…
With that being said, when I reached out Melissa she immediately responded and we chatted almost immediately after that. Even telling her what little info I knew I wanted, she took my vision and created arrangement better than I could ever of imagined myself. She was so easy to talk to and knew so much!
Every idea I had she listened, ever concern I had she listened. Her day of execution was FLAWLESS.
Melissa is THE go to florist in San Diego area!!

Finding a wedding florist was the hardest vendor for me because most of the quotes I received were way out of our budget. We had pretty much decided that we were going to DIY our table flowers by just doing bud vases and find a florist to do the specialty flowers (bouquets, boutonnières, corsages, etc). When I had my first phone call with Melissa, she gave me so many options for how to utilize her services! It was such a customizable experience. I appreciated her flexibility and expertise through the whole process. She was very communicative and very transparent with her pricing. We ended up having Melissa do all of our flowers and we are so happy we did. Not only did it save us a ton of stress from DIYing some of the florals, her arrangements were GORGEOUS. Like show stopping gorgeous. Above and beyond what I ever could’ve imagined for our wedding day. We did not have a ton of decorations at our wedding but Melissa’s beautiful work made everything come together! Thank you so much Melissa!! -

Our wedding flowers were so beautiful! My husband and I had a large-ish wedding party; Melissa created unique bouquets for each of my bridesmaids and boutonnieres to match help bring the look together. My bridal bouquet was unique and exactly what I imagined. Melissa also included flowers for our cake; she even placed them on our cake. She was the easiest vendor we had and made the look of our wedding come together so well. I would recommend Melissa to my best friends. Thank you, Melissa. We appreciate you! -

I cannot say enough about how amazing it was to work with Melissa. Our wedding was postponed twice due to covid (read 3 wedding dates) and she was professional, communicative, and flexible throughout. This helped the transition of postponing the wedding less stressful. She was reasonably priced and the arrangements were even better than I imagined!! I don't know the types of flowers so I just sent pictures to Melissa about what I liked and she nailed the arrangements. We finally had our wedding on 4/16/22 and myself, the wedding crew, and our guests could not get over how beautiful everything looked. If we had to choose a florist again I would 1000% go back to Melissa. Thanks so much Melissa for turning our wedding dream into a reality! -

Melissa was so wonderful!!! I told her what I was looking for and she wrote up a design and had very good descriptions and pictures of everything. I had to postpone 3 times because of covid and she was very flexible.
My flowers and decor on my wedding day were everything I had hoped it would be. It was perfect and I definitely recommend her!! -

Melissa was so incredible! The flowers were gorgeous beyond my wildest dreams. The cross and wedding doors were lovely. I wanted colorful wildflowers that would match an outdoorsy wedding and they were stunning. The bouquets were so large, full and beautiful. Her pricing is so good for what she gives you! She is so kind! I am so thankful! -

Melissa did a great job with the floral arrangements. My bouquet turned out exactly how i wanted it. She meticulously went through what type of look I was trying to achieve with the bouquet and nailed it! She was flexible with the amount of flowers needed & date/time when my "normal" ceremony turned into a last minute "mini" ceremony due to the pandemic. She made sure the flowers were fresh by picking them up the morning of our ceremony; turned out beautifully. The floral arrangements were the last touch we needed to complete our change of plans. I highly recommend Melissa as a florist! Thank you Melissa! -

Wedding flowers
I can not say enough great things about Melissa. I met her at a San Diego bridal bazaar and she gave an excellent cost for my wedding on Sept. 1st. The flowers including bouquets, flower crown, etc. were absolutely gorgeous and she even made them with succulents! The flowers added an absolute gorgeous touch to our wedding. Can't thank her enough! -

Melissa was SO easy to work with and provided us with gorgeous flowers for our wedding. She was super flexible in her delivery schedule day-of when we had to make some last-minute adjustments, and her rates were unbeatable compared to all of the other florists we looked at. We couldn't have picked a better vendor and will certainly be recommending her to all of our friends! -

Melissa was such a pleasure to work with. I met her at a bridal bazaar at the Del Mar Fairgrounds and instantly fell in love with her work. Her prices were very reasonable and her work was absolutely stunning! She worked with all my ridiculous requests and was always there to answer my questions and provide suggestions. The flowers at my wedding matched my vision perfectly, like to the T. They were so beautiful and vibrant, they smelled amazing and looked so healthy! Everything was delivered and set up in perfect accordance to our schedule. She also set up the fabric for the arch, which was so awesome! I couldn't be happier with our choice of florist. BEAUTIFUL flowers, great value, wonderful to work with!
Everything about working with Melissa exceeded our expectations--especially for the price we paid. She was incredibly responsive over email, and was extremely flexible with any changes to our flowers. For instance, we decided that we wanted to incorporate pinecones into our bouquets, and she collected them from her backyard just for us! The result was absolutely stunning--just like off a pinterest board. Melissa gives you the option to pick up your flowers the day before (instead of delivery) if you don't meet a minimum spending figure, which was great for us, because it gave us the opportunity to save for other things while still having BEAUTIFUL bouquets, boutonnieres, and corsages for our wedding party. The flowers absolutely made the wedding feel like a fairytale--we got so many compliments and questions about who did our flowers. I would absolutely recommend Melissa for your wedding day flowers or any other occasion! -

Ruthie Sent on 06/06/2011Incredible experience with Melissa! The flowers were GORGEOUS. She worked with me in very creative ways to utilize my ideas and add her design expertise. She is a beautiful artist and made each of our meetings so much fun. We really hit it off and I felt very secure in trusting her as she talked about working our ideas together.
I met Melissa at the San Diego Bridal Bazaar and got a really great vibe from her. I checked out 5 other flower vendors, as well, including a wholesale place, but found that Melissa really did give me the best beauty for my buck. She was really creative about utilizing my ceremony flowers at the reception, as well. I had this idea of how I wanted to have the aisle flowers also be the centerpieces. She did it in a GORGEOUS way and the other florists weren't really on board the way she was.
Every interaction with Melissa was great and the flowers were STUNNING!
I couldn't be happier.
She also worked very well together with the caterer, cake decorator, and wedding planner to pull it altogether. I was so glad that all my vendors worked well together -

Alison Sent on 06/04/2012I really enjoyed working with Melissa – she is so sweet and she did such a great job. Not only did were our flowers gorgeous, but she also hung rows of paper lanterns for us at the reception site. Since she works out of her home, her prices are super reasonable without sacrificing quality (my uncle, also a florist, commented on the high quality of her flowers and how great the bouquets still looked a few days after the wedding). I loved that when I had a specific vision for something Melissa was happy to work with me to fit it into the wedding, but that when I asked her to make other decisions without me I was equally pleased with the results. Our set-up was complicated by the fact that we had different venues for the ceremony and reception, but she took the initiative to get in touch with site coordinators for each location to figure out a schedule that would allow her to have enough time. I also appreciated that she kept me in the loop the whole time, sending me an e-mail when my flowers were ordered, when she received them, and letting me know her schedule for the day. She also thought ahead to get backup plans for any problems that might occur and was flexible to accommodate last minute changes that I needed. I was a little nervous that I was going to walk into the reception site and see it for the first time an hour after all of the guests had arrived, but after sitting down with Melissa to finalize details that anxiety turned into excitement. She is so good at what she does and I knew the flowers were going to look great. The centerpieces really popped on the tables and still looked beautiful on brunch tables the next morning. I would definitely recommend Wedding Flowers by Melissa! -
