    Perfect For Us

Who gets married in a pandemic? We did, last May 17. The Chapel was everything I dreamed of. Just perfect for the 2 of us.

Chapel in the glades was beautiful. I couldn't think of anywhere better to have our wedding. Everyone was helpful and very hospitable. It was a beautiful setting and ceremony, and the pictures were wonderful. Thank you for helping our day to be so perfect.

I recently had my wedding at the Chapel in the Glades. Its so beautiful and peaceful and away from all of Gatlinburg. They have a wonderful waterfall and gazebo to take pictures and the minister and staff are wonderful. They give you so much attention and listen to everything you have to say. It was truly a wonderful thing to have everything go so smoothly because of them.

    Do not book

DO NOT BOOK YOUR WEDDING HERE
If any problems out of your control arise, they will NOT give a refund under any circumstance. You are made to pay up front for your package a month before the date. There are extra fees for being late, extra people, and anything personal including music.
The Coronavirus pandemic came into affect about two weeks before our wedding. I called several times throughout those two weeks to make sure the chapel would be open and accommodating. Our wedding was booked for Saturday, March 21, 2020. We booked an all inclusive 45 person package. On Wednesday we got an EMAIL that was to “REMIND” us that the state mandate was no more than 10 people and they would not accommodate any more than that. This is completely understandable with the circumstances in place. HOWEVER, the 10 person package was around $300 while the 45 person package was around $800. Even though they would only allow 10 people, they were going to keep ALL of our money. We had 45 guests coming from GA about 5 hours away. We all had rooms booked as well. Every room gave us and our guests full refunds. After several emails and phone calls they settled with giving us 50% refund. Since the wedding would only have 10 people, we decided to just do the wedding at home which meant we had to pay for another venue. We planned the whole wedding in 2 days. After paying for ANOTHER wedding, we decided 50% would not be enough. Me being a nursing student and my husband a first responder, we can not afford to donate $800 to a small TN chapel. After several emails trying to get our money back, they revoked the 50% they were going to give us.
The reason we chose this place was it was a cheap wedding that would accommodate many guests as we could not afford to throw a big wedding but we still wanted our friends and family there. We did not realize how selfish these people were. They did not do a single thing for us, and are keeping $800 out of greed. This is no way for a business to treat their customers ESPECIALLY in a time of uncertainty like this.

Please do NOT book your wedding here. We are not done with this process. Pay a little more for customer service. I thought since this place was rated pretty good it would be okay. I was completely wrong.

I booked this chapel for my wedding in October for my December wedding. After the fires swept through the area, I learned that the resort where we were going to stay burned. I called the chapel to cancel since I now had no where to stay along with the other 10 people who were joining us for the wedding. The personnel at the chapel refused to give me a refund but after numerous phone calls, they agreed to give us a refund minus 100 dollars. I think this is very bad business practices. They should have offered a full refund.
