Rabbi Sharon Made Our Wedding Sing

Rabbi Sharon Steinberg made our wedding ceremony truly unforgettable. From our very first Zoom call, she was warm, accommodating, and genuinely invested in getting to know us as a couple. She went above and beyond to personalize our ceremony, thoughtfully weaving in our story and even making space for me to perform an original song for my wife—offering her own guitar if I needed it! Her flexibility and encouragement made us feel completely at ease, and her attention to detail ensured that every moment felt meaningful and unique to us.

Not only is Rabbi Sharon a gifted rabbi, but her talents as a cantor added a beautiful, spiritual dimension to our celebration. Her singing was lovely, heartfelt and moving, and her words about love and marriage were both profound and perfectly tailored to our journey together. We felt so lucky to have someone who could provide everything we needed in one person, and who made the distance between New York and Florida feel insignificant (as we live in NYC, but were marrying in FL). We are so grateful for her warmth, wisdom, and artistry in making our wedding day so special.

You can count on Rabbi Sharon to make your day meaningful

Rabbi Sharon was an incredible resource for our wedding! She helped my husband and I create a Jewish wedding that was also able to honor our families and their interfaith traditions. She was fantastic at communicating with us promptly and answered all of our questions and concerns and gave us options when we wanted to know the whys or hows of parts of the ceremony. She made sure we were confident and confused well before the ceremony and left nothing up to chance. Our families still talk about what a beautiful ceremony it was, and how it went so smoothly and calmly (not all of our relatives have been so lucky!)

Beautiful wedding thanks to Rabbi Sharon

I write this review about Rabbi Sharon Steinberg. My wife and I were married by Rabbi Sharon in Boca Raton in November, 2022. We could not have been more pleased about our choice.
We met with Rabbi Sharon at her home approximately one month prior to our wedding. She explained that she would like to get to know us and invited us into her home. We knew instantly that she would be perfect for our wedding. We met three or four times at her home. She planned our wedding using a type of “wedding manual” which outlines a Jewish wedding, and has several options. We shared our love story and our family dynamics. On one visit to her home she created a video for us, whereby she asked us what drew us together, what we envision for our future, where we hope to be when we watch the video. I was a lovely touch.
Prior to our wedding, Rabbi Sharon created our ketubah, as well as a wedding rehearsal plan, a list of things we should bring for our wedding. As for the wedding itself, Rabbi Sharon is also a Cantor with a magnificent voice and handled the ceremony beautifully. She was admired by all guests of our wedding.
Once again, my wife and I can’t speak highly enough about Rabbi Sharon Steinberg.

Wonderful experience

We are so deeply grateful to Rabbi-Cantor Sharon Steinberg for leading us through the most beautiful and meaningful Ketubah ceremony. From the very beginning, she centered the ceremony around our love and made every moment feel personal and sacred. Rabbi Sharon went above and beyond to ensure the ceremony was accessible to my Grandma, which meant the world to us.

She also found the most thoughtful ways to incorporate both of our families, making everyone feel included and connected. It was truly a special and unforgettable experience. Her warmth, presence, and genuine care made this moment even more memorable. Thank you, Rabbi Sharon, for giving us a ceremony that was not only deeply spiritual, but also full of heart.

Shirat Sharon performed the wedding ceremony for my wife and me in 2021. She was absolutely amazing! She helped us clearly understand and talked us through every aspect of the wedding, making the entire preparation process easy and enjoyable.

During the ceremony itself, she demonstrated strong love and devotion for us and our union through her kind words and deep feelings. Shirat Sharon made our wedding day feel profound and unforgettable.

Wonderful Experience!

Working with Rabbi Sharon on our interfaith wedding was a breeze! The pre-ceremony counseling sessions were insightful and well thought out, and Rabbi Sharon's genuine interest in us as a couple made us feel great. Rabbi Sharon traveled for our elopement and was professional and personal the whole time - she filled our special day with spirit, laughter, and song. I highly recommend her for any interfaith couple (or any couple in general) looking for an empathetic, understanding officiant for their wedding.

Such an amazing accommodating Rabbi!

We needed a Rabbi who would be willing to officiate a Jewish wedding Ceremony between an interfaith couple (my husband is Christian and I am Jewish), and out of all the Rabbis in south Florida only 3 were willing to do so; out of those only 2 were willing to do it on a Saturday which is Shabbat. After speaking on the phone and realizing how friendly and pleasant Rabbi Sharon was, we decided to go with her. She had very reasonable prices, and we were very happy that she took the time to get to know each of us and make sure to personalize our ceremony catering to both of our faiths. We were blown away by her kindness, singing voice and wonderfully curated ceremony. I will always recommend Rabbi Sharon, as she made our day amazing, and truly special!

Unforgettable

We had a Jewish and Hindu fusion wedding, and Sharon did a phenomenal job creating a ceremony that was both deeply meaningful and beautifully inclusive of both our cultures. She took the time to understand our values and traditions, and crafted a service that felt authentic, personal, and heartfelt. Her calm presence and warm energy helped set the tone for a truly unforgettable day. We’re so grateful she was part of our wedding.

Rabbi Steinberg conducted a beautiful wedding on short notice. The wedding occurred in our home with relatively few attendees, however, Rabbi Steinberg suggested that we have friends and relatives who could not attend watch remotely using an application designed for this purpose. This worked out very well.
Her beautiful and meaningful wedding service was supplemented by her musical talents. She played piano, guitar and sang when appropriate. We highly recommend Rabbi Steinberg to lead any Jewish ceremony.

Rabbi Sharon was a great officiant for our interfaith wedding ceremony. She worked well with our Catholic officiant and together they provided us with a lovely wedding that combined aspects and traditions reflecting both faiths. Rabbi Sharon was perfect! She was open, caring and supportive. She succesfully created a beautiful korean and Jewish fusion Ceremony. We could feel that this is not just a job for her, but she puts her full heart and true emotions into the ceremony. There not a single guest who was not in tears.

Cantor Sharon (now Rabbi Sharon!) was a wonderful. She officiated my September 2011 wedding and really helped craft a ceremony that was meaningful to my husband, our families, and me. I had not yet converted at that time, so our ceremony was sort of interfaith, heavily leaning towards the Jewish traditions. However, Rabbi Sharon helped us to weave secular music that was important to me, seamlessly, into the Jewish parts of the ceremony. On top of that, she met with my husband and I frequently - we had some marriage counseling sessions that were really valuable to us in goal and expectation setting. I'd be remiss to also mention that, Rabbi Sharon is very sweet, very easy to talk to, and just an overall lovely and enjoyable person :) I'm very late to review her wonderful officiant services but recently my husband and I were thinking of her as we're soon to welcome our first child (who we will be raising Jewish as we had discussed in length with Rabbi Sharon 3 years ago!!)

Rabbi Sharon presided over our outdoor wedding at Mount Vernon, Virginia in 2011. Not only was our ceremony wonderful, but Rabbi Sharon also expertly engaged our guests. She happily crafted the ceremony so that dozens of our family and guests had roles to play. I have yet to attend a more inclusive and heartwarming wedding ceremony.

Not only that, but Rabbi Sharon also was an indispensable guide in leading us to our wedding day. She helped preside over my wife's conversion to Judaism, and our pre-marital meetings were always productive and successful. She offered us a wide array of options for the ceremony and was willing to go as traditional or modern as we desired.

In sum,Rabbi Sharon will help you create a beautiful, successful and loving wedding ceremony. My wife and I are thrilled with the memories she helped create and highly recommend her."

Sharon Steinberg was the amazing officiant at our beautiful May wedding. Our location was quite a distance from the synagogue, but she happily trekked out there for us in the 90-degree heat, and all! She was punctual, organized, and helped us prepare everything prior to the wedding date. She was even kind enough to provide a few ceremonial items for us, from her private collection, in order to make our lives easier. She allowed us to have as much input on the ceremony as we desired, and made sure everything went just as we had planned it. Not only was our 'written' ceremony beautiful, but it was doubly beautiful when you add in her amazing, operatic voice. There is nothing like it! We couldn't have imagined our day without her, and when we do it all again in 10 years at our vow renewal, we hope to have her there.

Rabbi Steinberg approached our family's event with incredible sensitivity and creativity. She prepared the entire ceremony, suggesting numerous elements of her own design intended to make all participants feel equally included. She worked with us on every single detail of the event, not only writing the ceremony but reviewing the processional plans, the program, and helping select the music, Kiddush cups, ketubah -- she helped with every little detail. We received many compliments afterwards on the beautiful wedding ceremony.

Cantor (now Rabbi) Sharon Steinberg co-officiated our November 2012 wedding. Cantor Sharon met with us several times prior to our wedding where we discussed both what we wanted at our ceremony and what we wanted out of our marriage. She was always genuinely interested in our opinions and thought processes and we enjoyed her company and guidance. Cantor Sharon was open to performing the ceremony in tandem with one of my husband's relatives, an ordained Episcopal priest, and the two of them created an absolutely beautiful, personal ceremony that we loved. We received many complements from guests after the service on the ceremony.

Rabbi Steinberg was the cantor at our daughter's wedding and she was magnificent! If we did not already have a Rabbi to officiate, we would have definitely chosen her. She is a former opera singer, has a beautiful voice, and she was very cooperative in helping us to choose the music she would sing. We've known her for years and she's delightful and so easy to work with. She's also able to serve as Rabbi and Cantor at the same time for those who need both. We would definitely recommend her!

Cantor Sharon (at the time) was an excellent officiant. She listened intently to our wishes, and also provided thoughtful and insightful touches to the service. We absolutely loved working with Rabbi Sharon. She met with us several times before our wedding and even accommodated us by using Skype when we were in a different city. She gave us so many options to make our ceremony just as we wanted to. She has an absolutely beautiful voice (I started crying at her house when she sang just a little), and the ceremony was incredible. We would recommend her to all of our closest friends. -Sophie

Rabbi Sharon officiated at our wedding. She also provided several (5, or 8?) sessions of pre-marriage counseling. This provided my wife and I an opportunity to reflect on our relationship, and also to reflect on our relationship to Judaism going forward.
The wedding was great. Rabbi Sharon was able to "herd cats" during the rehearsal and get our big wedding party arranged. The ceremony was really wonderful, and she sang beautifully and conducted the whole thing without a hitch.
We'd highly recommend her as an officiant for your wedding.

Rabbi Sharon Steinberg performed our marriage ceremony on June 9th. It was lovely and intimate, which was exactly how we wanted it. Her beautiful singing voice added so much to the ceremony. She was very responsive and flexible as far as meeting our needs. I would, without question, recommend Rabbi Sharon Steinberg for your religious events.

Sharon Steinberg is an excellent musician, Cantor, Rabbi and friend. She was extremely insightful and was able to get through to my son who has learning disabilities. She helped motivate and teach him to read Hebrew and sing the prayers, which no one else has been able to do. I feel that she was able to provide him with a deeper spiritual meaning regarding his Torah portion, which opened him up to learning. I strongly recommend her, not only because of her professionalism and talent, but because she is an incredibly pleasant and warm-hearted person.

We had Rabbi Sharon and our two witnesses...that was it! But was it intimate. Rabbi Sharon is also a Cantor, and so she sang the prayers (beautiful voice). My bride and myself, our two witnesses, Rabbi Sharon singing...like I wrote above, it created a very intimate feeling. When we go to renew our vows, we will definitely be calling Rabbi Sharon!

Working with Cantor Sharon (now Rabbi Sharon) was such a wonderful experience!

Being in an interfaith relationship led to some key discussions during our wedding planning process, and it was so nice to have Cantor Sharon work through the discussions with us and pave the way to a successful relationship. We were so fortunate to meet monthly for nearly 9 months prior to our wedding to discuss our future plans for our household, family, and ourselves.

It was very important to us to find an officiant who would respect me and my traditions as a non-Jew and who would uphold the traditions of my husband who is Jewish. Cantor Sharon worked with us to create a wedding ceremony to honor both families - We couldn't have asked for more!

This was an inter-racial, interfaith marriage with Jews, Christians, Muslims, and seculars in attendance. All said what a beautiful service this was was. Everyone felt very included; Jewish rituals were explained, and Sharon was willing to include the classic reading from 1 Corinthians (Love is patient, etc...) in the service. She switched from conducting the ceremony to singing the prayers in her beautiful soprano effortlessly. I was the bride and am totally happy that I flew her up from Florida to do the marriage ceremony. The cost included air fare and hotel.

Cantor Sharon was very important part of our wedding. She was always helpful and very responsive. We always felt like she was there for us, from the beginning to the end. We needed someone who was flexible due to the fact our wedding was non traditional but still true to the Jewish tradition, and she was able to accommodate us. Her beautiful voice was an added bonus. She was also extremely helpful with managing expectations of certain various family members. She helped with the entire ceremony and gave brilliant suggestions. A true professional who understood the needs of everybody involved at the wedding. My wife and I highly recommend!

We loved having Rabbi Steinberg (then Cantor Steinberg) as our officiant. She worked hard to make our wedding just as we wanted it to be. It turned out wonderfully and we had an incredible day. She is happy to have the ceremony be more religious or less. She was flexible and did our ceremony on a Saturday, and she welcomed us as a same sex couple. We had a miscommunication regarding how we were doing our vows (which I believe was our fault, not hers), and so our personally written vows were left out of the ceremony, but we just did them at the end! It was kind of funny and made for a good wedding memory. :-) Rabbi Steinberg adapted well to the last-minute change, as well as to the blazing heat on the day of our outdoor wedding. Her singing and chanting are inspirational, and her presence gave our wedding the spiritual touch we are looking for.
