No tenemos palabras suficientes para agradecerle a Carmen por el trabajo tan espectacular que hizo como nuestra coordinadora. Desde el primer momento en que nos conocimos, conectamos súper bien, y eso nos dio una tranquilidad enorme durante todo el proceso de planificación.

Su comunicación fue impecable: siempre disponible, clara, organizada y pendiente hasta del más mínimo detalle. Carmen no solo cumplió con nuestras expectativas, las superó por completo. Se notaba en cada momento su pasión, dedicación y compromiso genuino con que todo saliera perfecto.

We truly don’t have enough words to thank Carmen for the incredible job she did as our coordinator. From the very first moment we met, we instantly connected, and that gave us such a sense of peace and confidence throughout the entire planning process.

Wedding of Our Dreams

Professional and invested in facilitating our wedding. Engaged and responsive to our messages and calls (in both English and Spanish) even from afar (we live in Maryland and wedding was in Puerto Rico). Willing to answer all our questions and connect us to different vendors around the island. Worked with not only us (the couple) but our family to ensure everyone clearly understood the whole process and their roles. La mejor wedding planner que vas a encontrar

Carmen fue increíblemente amable y dulce durante todo el evento. Llevo toda la coordinación del día con mucha precisión que en ningún momento sentimos ni un poquito de estres. Life Savor!!!

Our wedding planner Carmen was absolutely amazing—we truly couldn’t have gotten through the day without her. In the weeks leading up to the wedding and on the day itself, she was our biggest asset. She handled everything with such care, organization, and calm, which made the whole experience so much less stressful for us. We honestly don’t know what we would’ve done without her. Carmen was incredibly personal and diligent. She made my wedding day!

Carmen played a truly pivotal role in my wedding. I’m not local to PR, so naturally there was an added layer of planning beyond the usual wedding events. Carmen was amazing, diligent, clear with expectations, and incredibly personal in the way she approached every detail of my wedding. She’s also very well-known and well connected with vendors across PR, so we were always in good hands when it came to collaboration and recommendations.

Not only did she assist with my entire wedding, but she also went out of her way to accommodate some very non-traditional requests. She helped ensure my father, who has several health issues, had a smooth and comfortable stay in PR. Her prices are very reasonable, and the quality of care she provides is something I don’t believe most services can match.

She made my wedding day what it was, and I will forever be grateful for her.

Destination Wedding Success

Carmen was awesome. Timely and responsive. With her connections I was able to get my wedding at the Courtyard Marriott Isle of Verde. I did the cocktail hour setup. Her packages are fair.
Just spend the money and let her and her team of vendors do their job. It is worth.

Blessed and Grateful for Carmen

Carmen, I’m in awe of what you done for me. So people understand who I am, I don’t like parties, I didn’t want any planning around this, and my mom and sister couldn’t help me plan because they had life happen for them in NY. I first had spoke to a planner for Wyndham Hotels, and just had an awful experience to a point where I didn’t even want a destination wedding. I found Carmen because many people one Reddit and Facebook put her name out there. Carmen helped me more on Day 1 than anyone ever has. She was so kind and patient with me especially. She recommended a different hotel which my entire party was very grateful of. I gave her no direction at all other than me wanting a cross. She literally took care of everything else. DJ (Pedro), Photographer (Javier), makeup/hair (which I didn’t hire but gave me great folks) wedding cake vendor, flowers AND found someone to build me a cross. Without her knowing, the cross means the world to me so for her to go out of her way to find someone that can make me this was incredibly touching for me. My communication with her was consistent, fast and because I told her I prefer text or email, she made sure that expectation was met. On my wedding day, she was so calm, and loving, she felt like another member of my family was there. My only regret with Carmen was not spending enough time with her. She is someone you want around you to comfort you, enjoy a meal with. Carmen, thank you for taking this over for me, I’m so incredibly blessed God put you on my path. You handled everything so easily. You will forever be the best wedding planner in my heart.

Wedding in November 2024

We can’t recommend Carmen and WedAffair enough. We just returned home from a week in Puerto Rico after getting married mid-November at the Courtyard Marriott Isla Verde. Over the past year, Carmen has helped us through every detail - with kindness, professionalism and amazing responsiveness. I don’t know how we would have planned it from Chicago without her. 10/10, you won’t regret going with Carmen and her amazing team!!!

So glad we hired WedAffair and had Carmen for our big day!

Carmen was the absolute best. She was organized, professional, kind and communicated from the beginning, through the middle and all the way to the end. She really went above and beyond to make sure the day went as smoothly as possible. We had our wedding at The Courtyard Marriott Isla Verde. Carmen was there on time and ready to handle any detail that came her way. She made sure every detail was in place and that I was stress free and could just focus on enjoying the wonderful day. She made sure every vendor was set up and in place, that they knew what to do and when to do it. She handled any and all issues that I did not even know anything was an issue, that’s how good she is and how quickly she took care of things. She helped me fluff and adjust my dress, so I looked my best walking down the aisle. Carmen coordinated with my family and guests on where they should go before and after the ceremony. Couldn’t have asked for better.

WedAffair was recommended by the hotel because our party was small and intimate. From the very beginning Carmen was exceptionally responsive, helpful, and professional. It felt like we were making plans with a family member. She made suggestions and worked with us.
Carmen recommended a photographer who also was great. She accommodated the time of day for the ceremony as there was a high prediction of rain but she must have connections with weather Gods because it ended up being a sunny gorgeous day.
The minister she got us was lovely.

Great service for our wedding

We married in April 2024 and are very happy with the support we received from Carmen. She was responsive to me from the beginning via email. Once on island she was great from the walk through and wedding. She stayed through the dinner service and after the dancing got going, she headed out and had everything coordinated for us! All In all, I was very happy with her and my team. Would highly recommend.

Carmen is AMAZING!!!

Planning a destination wedding can be stressful, but as our day of coordinator, Carmen made the process SO easy! I cannot say enough wonderful things about her. From putting together our itinerary, contacting all of our vendors a few weeks out, coordinating our rehearsal, and making sure our day was perfect, I had no stress on the day of my wedding. Her pricing is extremely reasonable, and she is so sweet. Carmen even recommend our DJ and flower vendors, who were just as amazing as her! If you do not have a wedding planner or at least day of coordinator, you NEED to hire Carmen!

The best beach wedding ever

Carmen made my wedding experience so easy and beautiful. We live in NYC and only stayed in Puerto Rico for 5 days. We also landed in Puerto Rico the afternoon before our wedding day. It was not easy getting all of the paperwork ready in time for the wedding. Carmen went out of her way to make sure everything was perfect and we couldn’t be more grateful for her. I highly recommend Carmen to any couple that gets overwhelmed easily and needs a wedding coordinator with good communication skills. She is the best!

My magical day

Carmen made my dream wedding day come true...
Carmen understood the assignment and made it come to life. Planning a destination wedding isn't easy but Carmen helped me with finding vendors, meeting with me while I was in puerto rico and best of all kept my anxiety down.
Carmen connected me with small businesses, which are the best, and made sure every step was covered. What I loved most is Carmen's patience with me. During times of high anxiety I put things off and she made sure she followed up with me and stood on top of things when I needed some time.
Carmen cautiously took professional liberties but all in my best interest, she is the expert. Carmen became family over the last 2 years of planning and coordinating our wedding. Her service is impeccable and a part of me didn't want her to leave at the end of the night. I made sure to take pictures with her to always remember her and how she made me feel as a anxious bride.
I wish Carmen nothing but the best and continued success. I know she will continue to make brides feel special and weddings memorable.

Absolutely Amazed!!

I had the absolute joy and pleasure to work with Carmen. She was absolutely amazing and made everything easy and seamless. She went over and beyond to make my day special. All of the vendors that she recommended were amazing. She kept in contact with all of our vendors and helped us the whole way. Every time a problem or situation came up, she took charge and handled everything. As this was a destination wedding, I had to put a lot of trust in her and she did not disappoint. She answered my questions, emails, texts, and phone calls in a timely manner. The price for the services was also affordable. Thank you so much for an amazing day!

Better than I could have imagined !

We decided to elope in NYE and with less than 6 weeks notice Carmen pulled together the most perfect wedding on the beach. I didn’t know what to expect and she blew me away! I did not have to worry about a thing, she took care of it all and the day of, everything went seamlessly. She continued to blow me away with her communicating after our big day to coordinate getting our pictures. Our pictures came out gorgeous and the photographer was wonderful. Carmen really made this day about me and not having to stress at all was such a relief.

I was initially hesitant about weather I needed a wedding coordinator & I am so glad that I made this investment. Having a wedding coordinator really helped make the wedding day a breeze… and more importantly, I was stress free. Carmen was my wedding coordinator. She was responsive when I had questions, friendly, courteous, informative & professional. Carmen assisted me with locating vendors such as a decorator & baker for the wedding cake but her real work is done the day of the wedding. Thanks to her, everything ran like clock work. She handled everything from making sure the wedding party knew what to do, making sure my vows were at the ceremony to having safety pins to help a bridesmaid with dress issues… This allowed us to be present for our special day. Her presence exceeded my expectations.

06.21.2022 La Concha San Juan, PR Wedding

After reviewing so many wedding planners, we decided to go with Carmen. She was able to quote us without needing to know a bunch of personal questions first. It felt like she was charging based how she rates herself and not where based on where someone is from. She was absolutely amazing and was always available to answer any questions. This was a destination wedding, which is not easy to plan, especially when you do not know what the place looks like or what the food will be like. Carmen was able to guide us and the day of the wedding went so smoothly, that you would not even know it was our first time on our wedding day seeing how everything would plan out. Carmen made sure the day we arrived in PR that we were able to view our venue and get a quick rundown. She was professional and organized and always had our best interest in mind. She made sure all the vendors were there and on time. If we ever have anyone we know getting married in PR again-Carmen will be our #1 and only recommendation. Our wedding day was perfect and Carmen made sure it was on our special day! If you are considering a wedding planner in PR, Carmen is it!

Renewal ceremony

Our consultant Carmen was reliable, responsive, professional, and resourceful, even before we ever talked by phone. Carmen is the Queen

I am at a loss of words to describe how amazing, supportive, flexible, and kind Carmen was throughout this process. She was attentive, thoughtful, and really spent time with us to think through the details. She supported us in all stages of planning and was extremely organized during the entire process. Carmen was able to connect us with all of our vendors and provide information on any other resources. She was the most prepared person on the actual wedding day and guests even commented on her ability to organize and keep things moving. We had a small wedding with limited vendors and Carmen stepped in to do tasks that needed to be done and I as the bride just felt completely at ease with her. Tudorlovejones wedding - incredible partner in planning!

Working with Carmen was the BEST gift we could have ever imagined. We got married in San Juan, Puerto Rico in November 2021 with 54 of our closest friends and family. What started out as a simple search, turned into a divine connection to help us plan our wedding festivities and our honeymoon.

She met with us through Zoom and there was an instant connection. Maternal in nature and professional refinement. Carmen worked strictly within our budget, entertained our every whim and brought us back to center with care and ideation. She was incredible. She helped us define what kind of activities and vibes we were looking for, and then customized an itinerary for our ceremony and managed every single vendor. She was our trusted advisor for everything! She recommended the hotel, local food establishments, other lodging options, the baker, and most importantly, the DJ! (His review will come separately). Carmen was an integral piece that shaped the entire course of our day.

She assisted us with everything from where the locals hang to budget-friendly decor options. Her high-touch concierge service really helped us pull together logistics for a destination that we’d never seen or visited. Our guests of all different ages, ethnicities, and travel backgrounds all raved about the thoughtfulness that ultimately created an effortless experience.

Hands down could not have planned this destination wedding from Ohio without her insight, planning, and execution. We love you, Carmen!

My experience was amazing!

Carmen was amazing! Planning a wedding is stressful especially when you’re doing destination. She helped me plan my special day with ease. She helped me find my decor vendor as well as my baker. Lazare/Rivera Wedding

I loved everything Carmen has done for me the day of my wedding. She was phenomenal & went above and beyond for my husband and I. One thing that meant dear to my heart was, I brought 2 photos with me, my great grandmother who was born and raised in Utuado, PR & her daughter who was also born and raised in Puerto Rico. They are both deceased & I wanted them both to be there, even if it was in a photo. After the ceremony, Carmen grabbed those 2 photos & set up a table in the reception area for the 2 pictures. When I came to see the room before the guest arrived, I cried. The flower arrangements she staged on the table to show case my grandmothers really meant a lot to me. I had a close relationship with these two ladies & it just made my day even more special. Carmen really made this day special to me that words can not describe the appreciation I have for her. My husband and I were impressed and pleased with her service.

Simplicity and Beauty

First off a HUGE thank you to Carmen for helping us throughout this entire process, her help and quick response was greatly appreciated. I don’t know where to begin and I could literally keep on writing about how beautiful our ceremony was but I also don’t want to bore you lol. The entire wedding party (60 people) stayed in Isla Verde, we chose this area because of the convenience, and we held our ceremony on the beach right around the corner from our home. We had a sunset barefoot beach ceremony on the part of the beach that is adjacent to the Ritz Carlton beach. Guests were dressed casual (beach attire) and the weather was almost perfect, a little windy but nothing to complain about, water was perfect and no rain lol ! Our ceremony was simple but Beautiful, Carmen did a wonderful job helping us and putting it all together. Without her who knows how things would’ve turned out. Everything turned out as planned and exceeded expectations, I can’t say enough about the entire experience...thank you Carmen

I cannot even put into words how WedAffair made my special day absolutely perfect. Carmen, my wedding coordinator, took care of everything...flowers, location, photographer, transportation, and even helped me find a hair and makeup artist at the last minute. Carmen was available, attentive to detail, and easily handled any concern that I had. On the day of the wedding, it could not have been more perfect. Everything went seamlessly and was completely stress-free. I was so worried that a destination wedding could become a disaster, but it is clear that Carmen is a professional and works with all of the local vendors to ensure a harmonious experience. Our wedding was very small, just our family, but I felt like such a princess. The location at Castillo San Felipe del Morro was spectacular. Carmen even thought to let the hair stylist know that it would be windy so my hair would not blow all over the place. The attention to detail really showed, and our family had the most wonderful wedding day! I would recommend WedAffair without hesitation.

We only had her to help with day of coordination because of our budget, but she set up everything for the reception and kept things running smoothly for the ceremony. Carmen was my wedding coordinator . She has been amazing. The wedding was a destination wedding . She was both friendly and professional . When indeed I had a question her emails helped. She would email me on timely matters. She also help me have a better vision by sending me many pictures . Her being bilingual was helpful. To dad we can only rate with a number. Because Carmen was exceptional and help my dream wedding become a reality . That night was unforgettable and organized. Thank you Carmen .

Our planner was Carmen and she was easy to work with and made the entire process seamless for us. All we needed to do was show up on the wedding day other than the formal things associated with the license and such once we were in Puerto Rico. I wish I had used a service like this when I was planning my niece's wedding a few year's ago.

A year ago my husband and I decided to get married in Puerto Rico, just before hopping on southern Caribbean cruise ship. I went off the Weddingwire reviews since we are in California and decided on WedAffair because they had great reviews and were local to Puerto Rico. Carmen with Wed Affair was truly amazing. I had no idea what to do, where to go or anything. I didn't have to do a thing, she did everything and our "Just the two of us" wedding was truly amazing. Highly recommend Carmen @ WedAffair. Getting the documents done in San Juan seems simple but we could not have done it without her. I absolutely LOVED working with Carmen! My husband and I are from GA. We wanted a small intimate ceremony (just the 2 of us) that was elegant and cost effective. We also wanted the ceremony in a church which we both thought it might not be possible... However, Carmen pulled it off in less than 2 weeks!!! YES, LESS THAN 2 WEEKS!! We had the church ceremony, beautiful yellow roses, 2 hours of pictures in the church and the Fortress, and a driver from the hotel to the church, to the fortress, and back to the hotel! OMG our wedding elopement was everything and more than we asked for. Carmen was AmazinG from start to finish. She was so flexible with everything we asked for from floral tweaks to vow customization. I HIGHLY recommend any couple eloping from elsewhere pay the small fee to have your documentation completed and facilitation of the signing, etc. I don't know how we would have done that without Carmen and without going insane the day before our wedding! Again, Great experience! I'd recommend WedAffair to anyone!

My husband and I got married in San Juan, PR in April 2016 and hired Carmen Colon from WedAffair to plan the wedding. This was the absolutely on of the BEST decisions we made! Carmen was extremely responsive throughout the entire process from start to finish and even after. We ran into a few day of glitches with the ceremony, and Carmen quickly handled it getting everything back on track and making sure the Bride and Groom were happy and comfortable. I was a bit nervous about planning a destination wedding being so far away, but working with Carmen and her team from WedAffair eased our fears. She laid everything out step by step during the process and was extremely patient when a few last minute changes had to be made. We couldn't have asked for a better planner to work with! I can't tell you how much of a help Carmen was for me, from everything to helping me make decisions, showing me images, helping pick the venue, flowers, organizing, handling the vendors, and even helping decorate the day of when I was stressing out a little! She was very accommodating and pleasant. I felt confident that everything was going to work out, even though I was planning a PR wedding from NC. Having her definitely made financial sense for us when planning a small destination wedding. She stayed on top of everything and gave us options. I wanted simple and she kept it simple. I am not sure how I could have handled all of this on my own from a distance. Everything turned out well, there's always thing you wished you would have done differently, but overall we were thrilled. It was hard for me to see the vision without being there and getting to pick everything like flowers and decor in person, but I have no complaints upon seeing the decor, venue, flowers, etc on the big day. When we got there we were so excited to see the Atlantic Garden venue at the Caribe. I knew it would be magical to have our ceremony and reception there and it was. I highly recommend Carmen and WedAffair.

Carmen was an angel! We started the wedding planning 17 days before the wedding and everything went off without incident. We were married at the Caribe Hilton, beautiful location btw. Carmen was very familiar with the hotel and wedding site. She is professional, reliable, knowledgeable, thus allowing the bride and groom to concentrate on the vows versus all the details of the wedding. It was effortless and I would not have changed a thing about our wedding thanks to her. She even picked us up from our hotel the Friday morning prior to personally take us to the various locations required to get the documentation for the ceremony. I highly recommend her!

Carmen was absolutely the best at EVERYTHING! Her taking lead on our marriage license in San Juan Puerto Rico was worth the money alone. She really surpassed our expectations by helping our entire wedding party of 19 people navigate through the busy cruise terminal in San Juan. She was able to get us priority boarding ahead of everyone else, helped our non-sailing guests board with ease, assisted with luggage storage for non-sailing guests once on-board, escorted everyone to their appropriate areas ahead of time for an on-time ceremony. She even assisted throughout the entire ceremony, coordinated with the photographer, brought us food during the reception, drinks, basically guided us through every step and minute from start to finish. She even escorted our non-sailing guests off the ship in time to catch a cab for their flight (just in time). We gained a true new friend and wonderful memories for a lifetime! If it was not for Carmen from WedAffair, our wedding would never have been the absolutely amazing event it was. She was not only professional and knowledgable, but she treated us like family. Every time I worried about anything she not only solved my problem or came up with solutions, but she also reminded me that I wasn't crazy, but just responding like a normal bride. She helped with everything from planning to budgeting to even taking us to the registry the day before to make sure it was done right! She would ask me to send her photographs of important documents or wedding ideas to make sure everything was met with accuracy and precision. She helped us find vendors for everything we needed and they were all equally as amazing. Our decorations and cake designed by Rafael were wonderful, not to mention absolutely delicious unlike most fondant cakes I've had. And Rafa Cruz was the absolute most attentive and amazing photographer possible. If it were not for Carmen and WedAffair we would not have had those connections. Planning things from New York was not easy, in fact it was borderline terrifying at times, not knowing how things would turn out from so far away. But I was also even more concerned about how my Persian and Puerto Rican vision for our wedding would come to fruition. Not only did Carmen want to learn all the details about Persian traditions, but she also wanted to understand the meaning behind them which I truly appreciated. She also showed us some Puerto Rican traditions that we were not familiar with and ultimately chose to incorporate into our wedding making it even more special. I am internally grateful to Carmen for everything she did for us and making our dream come true and I am especially happy that I have a picture with her to keep in my wedding memories where she absolutely belongs. Carmen Colon is amazing and worth every penny! I hired her as my wedding coordinator about a year and a half before my wedding, and she helped me to select vendors, decorations, and other details. Carmen was very quick to respond to all of my emails with quality information.

When we arrived in Puerto Rico, Carmen drove us to take care of all of our marriage license paperwork. This would have been very difficult without a wedding coordinator, as my fiance and I are not fluent Spanish speakers and the demographic registry office would have been difficult to navigate for those not familiar with the area.

On the day of our wedding, our decorator did not deliver two of the fishbowl vases ordered and our minister got into a car accident on the way to the wedding, 45 minutes before the ceremony was supposed to start. Carmen handled both of these situations with grace and professionalism, and was able to procure us two more vases and a backup officiant at the last minute.

During our wedding day, Carmen went above and beyond and helped us for more than the 8 hours of day-of-coordination that we had contracted. She also brought a second coordinator, Lorena, for our party of 33 and Lorena was very helpful with setting up decorations and helping my maid of honor with bustling my dress.

Carmen and Wedaffair always went the extra mile in each step of the wedding planning process, and it was clear how much care they put into making the wedding day as perfect as possible for every client.

The logistics of getting married can be a bit stressful. The logistics of getting married thousands of miles from home even more so. Add in a language barrier, and a bit of an arcane set of administrative processes, and you can understand what we were worried about getting Married in PR.

From the very first moment that I contacted Nailin she was very attentive and professional . I was planning my wedding from seattle therefore I was emailing daily if not two-three times a day and Nailin was prompt in her response and very helpful and patient. Carmen was amazing! She took care of all the details, large (double checking all our legal paperwork was in order prior to us leaving the states, personally drove us to obtain the necessary documents, just to mention one of many!) and small (assisting our guests to their designated seats, making sure everything looked as planned, etc). The quality of the vendors she recommended to us were top notch! In addition to everything else she did for us, when it started to rain, she helped move not only our guests, but also flowers, table settings, etc. Above and beyond the call of duty! We had a small wedding and did not have attendants, Carmen anticipated everything, she was like my Maid-of-Honor and God-Mother rolled into one! I would highly recommend her!

Carmen was wonderful! She was very responsive, professional, friendly and warm. She made our elopement (with our parents) so much more wonderful than we could have imagined! She was very flexible and was able to include exactly what we wanted and did not push us to have any extras we did not want. The bouquet she provided was beautiful. She picked us up and took us to do our paperwork and then picked us up to take us to the fort where we had our ceremony. Spending almost the entire day with us! A park ranger drove us around the fort during our ceremony and photography session at the fort! This was especially nice as our parents are not as mobile. We did not expect the ceremony to be as private and serene as it turned out to be! And the pictures came out great! Thank you so much Carmen for making our wedding so magical!

Planning a trip is hard enough, planning a trip with a wedding is not easy especially when you do not know all of the rules, or have the contacts to make sure all your paperwork is in order. After searching the internet and reading many reviews we selected WedAffair. Carmon was amazing, very thoughtful, and understanding. Carmon brought us to where we needed to sign and obtain official documents. She brought us to our selected venue and had the officiate & photographer all set up as well. Carmon also provided the flowers which were very beautiful. We just received out photos and our marriage certificate in a very quick and timely fashion. I would highly recommend this company to any friends and family & would ask them to ask for Carmon. Thank you very much Carmon!

WedAffair put together a really amazing wedding. The pictures came out spectacular. I would definitely recommend WedAffair.
