  We decided a few weeks before the wedding to have a Gobo light with our last name on the dance floor. We light Atlanta was very reasonably priced, responsive, worked with us to create the design and had a very quick turn-around on each edit. I was very pleased with the results and would highly recommend using them.

  We light Atlanta was very kind (which is the most important quality in business), professional, and accommodating. They went out of the way to make sure I was happy and had what I needed to make my wedding a great one. The uplighting was absolutely beautiful and if you are on the fence about uplighting, please choose to do it, the ambiance was lovely and added a special touch! And use We Light Atlanta when you do. They have the best value for the quality that you will receive.

  Choosing The Smart Dj is one of the best decisions that we made for our wedding! His music selections were great. He was very professional and accommodating. He also provided drapery and lighting...it was breathtaking! He gives you everything that you need without breaking your pockets. I definitely recommend hiring the smart DJ. it's a smart decision!

  DJ Ray performed for our son's graduation party on May 25th, and he was awesome. When my husband & I first met him, I knew we had met the perfect DJ for our son's party. He was very professional, personable and informative. He was also very prompt at the initial meeting & on the day of the event. We also hired him to supply the slide show for the party. He did a great job here as well. Basically, I would recommend him to anyone looking for an AWESOME DJ. If we should ever give another party, we'll definitely would hire DJ Ray again!

We used The Smart Djs for uplighting and reception music. We got our song requests over to Ray and he made sure he played them at the right time during the reception (bride & groom entrance, bouquet & garter toss etc) He got the party going and our guests loved it!   Ray Hernon was a pleasure to work with. I used his services for uplighting at my wedding. You will not find a better price in Atlanta! The quality of service you are getting is much more valuable than the price you pay. He was very helpful, responsive to emails and genuinely wanted me to have everything I asked for. I would definitely use him again!

  You can't beat the price of uplighting from The Smart DJ. Ray was great to work with. I made some changes at the last minute and he immediately sent a new contract and stated that I could pay him the day of the event.
  
  The purple uplighting made my reception space (Callanwolde) look phenomenal. Everyone talked about how the lighting added that extra touch to my purple affair. The Smart DJ is professional, courteous, and inexpensive for brides on a budget. Don't hesitate to book with him, and I am a VERY PICKY BRIDE!

  I booked him for my wedding on July 30th, 2011 and I would recommend him to anyone looking. His package and price were good but what I liked about him was his ability to adapt and work well with one-off request. When it comes to the dancing, he kept everyone entertained and managed to have some fun also. Very great guy to work with.

He worked with our independant guitarist to make sure he had all the right equipment and sound, he played every song we requested, he had great intuition to feel out the crowd and keep them dancing and happy, and he rolled with a few last minute timeline changes so that the guests never knew the difference!
  His website was easy to navigate and allowed us to plan, change, and organize the whole production, and his package pricing for DJing, lighting, and slideshow was UNBEATABLE (trust me, we shopped around.) I would and will reccomend him to anyone, and will go back for service for future family events!

  We were extremely pleased with The Smart DJ, DJ-ing our wedding reception. They are extremely professional. Since they had never hosted an event at our venue, prior to the reception they drove out to the location and took pictures of the rooms and took note of the power outlet set up.   DJ Ray was wonderful! He played all the songs on the playlist and was in step with every detail and event in the wedding. I wanted a part feel for the reception and he delivered just that! He arrived on-time and was very punctual with tear-down.

  I wanted a DJ that would provide a great mix of music but also would provide lighting. I informed him that this would be a Nigerian wedding, so although we were interested in having R&B and Techno played, the majority would be Nigerian music. He saw no problem with it, and even made suggestions on how to accommodate my musical tastes. On the day of the wedding he did a great job with everything, but there were 2 mishaps. The first was that when re-entered into the reception with our traditional clothing, the song that I specified to play was not played. I just went with it because at least there was Naija hip hop being played. The other was some type of mishap with the song of our last dance as it started skipping. However, DJ Ray quickly rectified it with very little noticeable difference and got everything corrected.

  The Smart DJ provides a lot for the money you pay. Ray is the owner and DJ and is good about responding to your phone calls and emails. He has a very good website with a lot of information. You can even book him, pay your deposit, submit your music list, choose your lighting colors, write your names to appear as a monogram on the dance floor, and upload pictures for a slide show he will provide at the wedding...all through his website. My fiance and I had specific ideas about the set of songs we wanted played for the different events at the wedding (processional, recessional, garter belt, etc) and Ray did a fair job of editing the songs we chose.
  The only issue we had with him was that the songs we chose for the ceremony processional started skipping while our parents were walking down the aisle. We had to stop the processional for about 10 minutes for him to get it situated. But the show went on. I am not real sure about what happened. If you have him editing anything out of a song, just make sure he reviews the final product before he plays them at the wedding. Some people would have freaked but I kept my cool. I didnt want a 10 minute delay to ruin my entire day.
  He did play a very good mix of music while the guest were being seated and during the cocktail hour.
  His slideshow was good and people really enjoyed it.
