Washington Golf & Country Club is an amazing venue for a wedding with beautiful views. Martina Kavanova was the event planner and I can’t say enough good things about her. She was very professional, extremely organized and so easy to work with. We also had a month-of wedding planner and the two of them took control of everything and made things happen!! We never had to worry about anything on the day of the wedding. We had our wedding ceremony on the terrace and it was beautiful. It was an easy transition to the cocktail reception and the dinner/dancing. Food is always delicious and the staff is always accommodating.

The venue is amazing...very classy with breathtaking views, great food, and Martina (the event coordinator) is delightful. She took very good care of us and made sure everything went smoothly. Highly recommend!

Washington Golf and Country Club is a beautiful venue for a perfect wedding. You need to be sponsored by a club member. Martina Kavanova, the event coordinator, is so lovely and easy to work with. She has so many wonderful ideas and is very knowledgeable. She is also flexible and patient :) She makes the planning seem seamless. The club is open to different ideas and Martina makes it happen. She, too, is also open to changes even at the last minute. The chef was amazing. We met with him to plan the event and he also had many great ideas. We were doing a late night bacon bar and the chef really got into it and made it fun and delicious. The whole staff was extremely helpful and courteous. Everything was perfect.....from the planning, to the tasting to the actually day. It is much more affordable than a hotel and has that personal touch. It was the best day ever thanks to Washington Golf and especially Martina and the Chef.

I'd grown up down the street from the club and we booked it based on their Saturday availability 8 months out. We worked with Martina leading up to the wedding which was amazing! She was so well organized and helped us make sure that every little detail was just the way we wanted it. The weeks leading up to the wedding, she was incredibly responsive and made sure that we felt that everything was ready to go. Knowing that Martina was in charge, we felt so comfortable when the wedding day arrived knowing everything would run smoothly. The day went perfectly and the venue was beautiful! I feel like I cannot thank Martina and the rest of the WGCC staff enough for giving me an amazing wedding!

We had our wedding at the Washington Golf and Country Club. The view was awesome and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Special shout out to our coordinator Martina, she is the best we can ask for and she helped us with so many little details that we didn't think of ahead of time. Food was very tasty and everyone enjoyed their time there.

The Washington Golf and Country Club was the perfect choice for our daughter's wedding! The venue is beautiful and well-maintained, the staff is top notch and the food selections were prepared to our specifications. We even added special appetizers a few days before the event and it was included seamlessly! I have nothing but praise for the way the whole event unfolded!

The WGCC is one of the most elegant and classy venues we had a chance to look at for our wedding reception. Their staff is attentive and very knowledgeable and really put both me and my now wife at ease with the planning and logistics of such an event. They talked us through the entire evening and laid out our plan to great and exquisite detail.

The venue itself is breathtaking. We used the President's banquet hall for our reception as well as some of the rooms along the window walkway for food and additional seating for our guests. The cocktail hour was on the columned atrium outside and over looks the golf course and the spires of the Washington National Cathedral were off in the distance. It truly was a magical place and we could not have hoped for anything more beautiful!

Fantastic venue! The setting was gorgeous. The food was delicious. The service was amazing!

I don't know what else to say other than this venue and all of the services were PERFECT!!!

The food was delicious. We had the most amazing passed appetizers. The beat salad with a goat cheese crostini was amazing. The main course was customized and we had a filet with oven roasted veggies and (the customized part) mushroom ravioli.

The decor of the actual room meant we didn't need much additional decor. And they have a large veranda / terrace in the back that overlooks the golf course. It was perfect weather, but if you have a wedding there when it's chilly, they do have heaters you can rent.

The service was top notch. The servers during the cocktail hour were wonderful and pulled aside some of the appetizers for my groom and me so that we got to taste nearly everything! The servers during dinner were never in the way or noisy. The timing of each course could not have been better.

The event coordinator, Molly, is highly detail oriented and ensures that everything runs smoothly. She didn't approach me hardly at all, so that I didn't need to make any last minute decisions. She just had planned everything out in advance and knew exactly what I wanted and when.

Many wedding guests thought it was one of the most amazing weddings they'd been to, and that was in large part because of the venue, the on-site event planner, and their food!!

All-in-all, if you know anyone who's a member, HAVE YOUR WEDDING HERE!!! You have to have someone sponsor your wedding, and you do have to book the date well in advance. But the cost is not more expensive than the nicer hotels nearby. In fact, it ended up cheaper than if we'd had the wedding at the Westin Arlington Gateway down the street.

Perfect! We can't wait to throw another party there soon. The room looked beautiful and their outdoor terrace was a great place for people to hang out and get fresh air. They had 4 other parties the evening of our wedding and we had no clue. Juan Ventura, the banquet manager, was so fun to work with. He made sure that Matt and I had an expensive/special bottle of champagne for the toast and rest of the evening. Absolutely wonderful. Oh, and the food was great too!

Loved every minute of it! Service and staff were wonderful. They came very close to dropping my cake after they assured me they would not attempt to move it. However, the night was perfect and I would recommend this location to anyone!

I honestly can say I had a fairy tale wedding at WGCC. It could not have been a more elegant or perfect venue for my June wedding.

Overall, my wedding (ceremony and reception) at the club was amazing. But, I had some complaints about the coordinator that only the bride would notice.

My family belong to this country club, so the venue itself was free. The location is really beautiful, and my father lives very close so it was very convenient for us to get ready. Everyone was very very happy with the food - we had a buffet with three stations and passed appetizers.

I will say, I was not happy with the wedding coordinator, Molly. Often during our planning meetings she seemed like we did not matter. I was frustrated with the Club's rules and general pretentious attitude. Maybe it was because we were having a very small, inexpensive wedding by the Club's standard. I had been told that she would be wonderful, and she was not.

The rehearsal she was late, spoke with us for 5 minutes, and then disappeared saying we could come get her if we needed her. During the wedding itself, she was very absent. She was in her office almost the entire time and did not even come out to tell the groomsmen to put their flowers on when they arrived. One of them told me that they stood around for a while when they got there because "no one was running the show." She was there to cue the bridesmaids, but then essentially disappeared the rest of the night. They also did not get enough of the outside beers we requested and ran out very early in the evening. She also overcharged us for the per/person cost of the food (we have not notified her of this mistake yet, so hopefully that will be resolved easily).

Again, I had a beautiful wedding at a beautiful location and everyone had a wonderful time. However, as a bride, I felt I was very low on Molly's priority list
