Planning a destination wedding from Canada at first seamed daunting, but working with Danissa and the Walker Events team made the entire experience completely seamless. From start to finish, they went above and beyond to ensure every detail was thoughtfully incorporated.
Danissa was absolutely incredible to work with leading up to our special day. Throughout the year of planning, she truly listened to our vision. When we met her for the first time in person three days before our wedding, it was as if we had known her for years. Her organization, creativity, and calm presence made the entire planning process enjoyable and stress-free. We will forever feel grateful to have partnered with her.
Danissa made sure no detail was missed. For instance, she kindly spent the last couple nights leading up to the wedding cutting circle labels out of paper to include with the rose petals thrown after our ceremony. This was something that could've easily been ignored, but she made sure it would be a part of the day, and we are so grateful.
On the wedding day, everything came together more beautifully than we ever could have imagined. It was evident how much care, love, and dedication the entire team poured into making our day perfect. If we could go back and start it all over, we wouldn't change a thing.
We are beyond grateful for Walker Events and genuinely couldn’t recommend them enough. To any couple considering Sint Maarten for their special day, look no further than Walker Events, they will truly make it the most magical day of your life. -

I don’t even know where to start this.. if you are getting married in St. Martin you NEED to work with Walker Events. Danissa and her team are incredible to work with and just a great group of people overall. I don’t know how we could have planned this wedding without Danissa and her team. The communication with them was great and they made every little detail perfect. The communication with our venue was not the best and Danissa was an incredible asset to help us with everything relating to the venue. Danissa was there to answer all of my questions and kept our wedding day as stress free as possible. She was able to help put us in contact with multiple people all over the island for different things we needed which was an amazing help. Her eye for creating the perfect decor with the visions you give her is unmatched. I could go on for pages more but I’ll just end by saying thank you guys for everything, you helped make our wedding day perfect -

From our very first conversation, I knew we were in excellent hands. Planning a destination wedding can be overwhelming, but Danissa with walkers events made the entire experience feel seamless, personal, and truly magical. Their attention to detail, professionalism, and warm, calming presence turned our dream wedding in Sint Maarten into a reality far beyond anything we imagined.
They handled everything—from vendors, décor, timelines, and even last-minute changes—with grace and efficiency. Every part of the day was beautifully coordinated, and it allowed us to be fully present and enjoy every single moment without stress. Our guests were blown away by how flawless and beautiful everything was.
Most of all, Danissa really took the time to get to know us as a couple. The wedding felt so us—every little touch reflected our personalities and love story. It wasn’t just an event; it was a heartfelt celebration, and we owe so much of that to their dedication and creative vision.

Walkers Events brought my wedding vision to life- dream team!
From start to finish, working with Danissa and Walkers event was a dream. Their team was incredibly organized, responsive, and always one step ahead, which gave me peace of mind during the entire planning process. They took the time to truly understand my vision and brought it to life in the most beautiful and seamless way.
Every detail was thoughtfully executed- from the timeline to the vendor coordination to the decor set up. It all came together better than I could have imagined. On the wedding day, I didn’t have to worry about a single thing because I knew Walkers Events had it under control. I was able to be fully present and enjoy every moment.
If you’re looking for a team that’s not only professional and detail oriented but also supportive and passionate about what they do, I cannot recommend Walker Events enough. They made my wedding day truly unforgettable! -

Planning a wedding when you don’t live where the wedding is taking place is 100% stressful. Walkers Events took away all this stress. Danissa and her team followed through on everything they promised they would. Their responsiveness was always so prompt. Danissa would text me back right away even when she was on vacation sometimes. Just shows how much this business means to her. Whether I needed an opinion or wanted to hop on a call she was available which helped relieve a lot of the stress of planning a wedding.
On the day of the wedding she said her team would be there to support and they were! They made sure all flowers were delivered to various locations, helped with literally anything needed. Putting on dresses, arranging first looks, holding veils. Anything we needed her team was there to support. She also made sure all vendors were there and present leaving me no stress about getting vendors in order, leaving me to be focused on myself on the wedding day.
All you need to do is show exactly what you want and they make it come to life. I can’t recommend Danissa and Walkers Events enough. They really make sure your special day feels special and beautiful.

I am beyond elated with the experience I had with Danissa and Walkers Events! From our first meeting to plan my destination wedding at Sonesta Ocean Point in St. Maarten, she immediately understood my vision. Within days, she created a mood board that captured everything I wanted and the theme (which was Autumn Island Chic). Walkers Events handled every little detail from napkins, linens, centerpieces, and flowers, to string lights, the officiant and DJ (just to name a few). Danissa made sure all we had to do was show up and enjoy our wedding! I HIGHLY recommend Walkers Events for any opulent occasion you may want to plan in St. Maarten. -

Attentive and Thoughtful Wedding Planner in St Maarten for US Couple
We had an outstanding experience with Danica Walker and her amazing team. Her meticulous planning and thoughtful approach made our day truly amazing. We met once a month starting ten months before the wedding and increasing meetings as the date approached. She recommended a great photographer and DJ who assisted in the wedding as well. Any issues that came up during the wedding she was able to resolve quickly. The entire team was incredibly helpful, contributing to the overall success of the event. Highly recommend! -

Most Spectacular Destination Wedding on St. Maarten
We want to take a moment to express our deepest gratitude for the spectacular job The Walkers did in planning and executing our destination wedding. From start to finish, the experience was absolutely amazing, and it exceeded all of our expectations.
The attention to detail was phenomenal, and every aspect of the wedding was executed flawlessly. The decor was breathtaking (freaking beautiful, OMG!), the food was delicious, and the entertainment was top-notch. We received so many compliments from our guests about how wonderful everything was, and we have The Walkers to thank for that.
We will be recommending The Walkers to anyone we know who is looking to plan a wedding or an event, and we hope to work with you again in the future.
