Best DJ Ever

I can't express how amazing Alex is as a DJ. Prior to the date, he was incredibly flexible with the timing of our wedding. With COVID and unknowns, he was in touch with us whenever we needed to talk logistics and was flexible, friendly, and encouraging throughout the process. His documents for planning the schedule of the day, what songs we did and did not want, and information about the wedding party were clear, descriptive, and helped keep us on track. He helped us think about things we had not considered yet (we worked without a wedding planner) which was SO helpful with the logistics. He is a professional and clearly has a ton of knowledge on how to plan a great wedding. On the wedding day, his setup was simple and sleek, his attitude was friendly, enthusiastic, and positive. He included our must-play song list, but also did an incredible job of reading the room and expanding on the genres the guests were dancing to and enjoying. Song transitions were seamless and exciting - he knew exactly how to keep the energy going, and also knew what songs to play for our group to get folks back on the dance floor when guests were taking breaks. I was impressed at how well he understood our group and our musical taste after being our DJ for a short while. I think I only left the dance floor for maybe three songs, to change out of my wedding dress into my party outfit, and for a few bathroom breaks! 10/10 would recommend Alex for your wedding day or any party that needs an amazing DJ.

They can even DJ a Nigerian Wedding!!

Absolutely incredible experience working with Vox! Alex was the best DJ, professional, kind and fun! The app they provided was a great planning tool, and relatively easy to use. Our Nigerian wedding ceremony was a bit complicated with several music requirements including Afrobeats, but Alex owned it and hit all the queues! Our guests were extremely happy and he kept them all dancing throughout the entire night to all types of music! I would recommend Alex and DJ Vox to anybody planning a wedding. Vox DJ is the way to go!!!

5-Star Party Starter!

Having DJ Alex Choi from Vox DJ Company at our wedding was a dream come true! We’d seen him in action at other weddings and always hoped he’d be the one to DJ ours. From start to finish, he was a breeze to work with and really went above and beyond. His planning app was amazing—it made picking songs easy, reminded us about things we’d overlooked (like a wedding party entrance song and the mother-son dance), and let us share access with our planner and friends who helped us decide when we were running out of steam.

On the wedding day, Alex brought an energy that completely transformed the space. His lighting setup made the whole room feel like a party right after the ceremony, and his transitions were seamless. After the first dances, he kicked things off with the wedding shoe game, guiding it with the perfect mix of humor and enthusiasm that got everyone ready to hit the dance floor. Alex just knows how to carry a party without ever feeling over the top—he was fun, professional, and really kept things moving.

We’d only given him a few song requests, and from there, Alex nailed it with the rest of the playlist. His feel for the crowd was spot-on, and it wasn’t just our friends who loved the music; our parents and families were out there dancing, too! And when MeMaw gets on the dance floor - you know the music is right! He mixed in 90s hits with other classics that had everyone, from our college friends to our grandparents, having a blast. If you’re looking for a DJ who’s got the skill, personality, and music sense to make your event unforgettable, Alex Choi is the one. We can’t recommend him enough!

We'd Pick Vox DJ Over and Over Again

We’ve had the pleasure of being guests at a wedding for which Alex was the DJ, as well as having him DJ our wedding! Both were an absolute blast. Incredible value for the experience.

Alex did music, microphones, and lights for our ceremony and reception. From when we first reached out, everything was incredibly easy, and we never had any doubt Alex had all our needs covered. He listened well to our vision for the day and fulfilled it perfectly, along with filling in any gaps to match our vibe for the portions of the day where we didn’t have specific music requests. He was a great MC, and everything flowed smoothly all day with no hiccups. We wanted our reception to be an energetic dance party, and that’s exactly what we got! The dance floor was packed the entire night. We’re still getting comments about how much fun people had at our wedding which brings us so much joy!

Absolutely amazing!

Vox DJ Company was an amazing addition to our wedding day! Alex was very professional and paid attention to the details we provided him in our planning app. Everyone was able to hear us clearly during the ceremony and the mic was descrete. He knew exactly how to fill the dance floor without compromising on our playlist! People could not stop talking about how much they enjoyed the day because of how good the DJ was! The best dj!

Alex of Vox DJ Company is THE BEST! We chose him as our DJ for our wedding day and we couldn't be happier. From assisting with ceremony sound, to making sure speeches ran smoothly, to creating the best dance floor, the whole experience was perfect. The uplights he provided also made a huge difference in the whole vibe of the party. We loved it! We had SO much fun dancing with our guests, and he made it all so easy. 10/10 recommend for weddings & events!

A Night to Remember!

This is the second wedding that we employed Alex to DJ one of our daughters' wedding. He is energetic, listens to what the bride and groom would like and made sure that the event was fun and enjoyable.

Book Alex!!!

Alex was the DJ for my wedding last Saturday and he was incredible!!!! I was recommended to book him by a friend and I am SO glad that I did. He totally read the vibe of the group of people we had and got almost everyone out on the dance floor. I got so many compliments on the music from guests, and people who don’t normally dance were out there because it was just that good!! and also he played the perfect music during dinner as well that matched the mood. Honestly I can’t say enough positive things about him!

Not only did he do an awesome job with the music, he is just a really cool person as well and was a great MC. I’ve seen other DJs being over involved at weddings and it comes off obnoxious, but Alex did perfect with announcing things and with the transition into dancing. He is also super organized and has an app that helps you plan out everything! It’s hard booking a DJ especially when you haven’t been to one of their events before, but honestly if you book him you won’t regret it.

He also provided uplighting for us for dinner and it looked amazing! When the dancing started, he changed it to colorful lighting that went along with the music and it looked so beautiful!! would definitely recommending adding that on as well.

One of my best decisions and I 100% recommend, thank you so much Alex!!

VOX DJ Company is the WAY TO GO.

Vox DJ is the best of the BEST. DJ Alex was exceptional in his punctuality, communication, transparency and of course his DJING!! He read our crowd sooo well and kept our guests dancing all night. He was also very responsive to all of the events we had going on and was very flexible and made it easy to communicate with. Alex is incredibly kind and made our guests very comfortable with his emceeing. He has all the equipment you need and is very considerate of the client's request while also blending in his style as a DJ. I would HIGHLY recommend DJ Alex and VOX DJ Company!!

Working with DJ Alex at VoxDJ was fantastic. Alex was kind enough to be flexible during the COVID fiasco, his pre-wedding organization was on-point, he was quick to respond, and did a great job as a DJ during our ceremony and reception. The clarity of his microphones during the ceremony were exceptionally good. Maybe the most clear I've been able to hear during a wedding from a speaker outdoors. Overall 10/10, would hire again.

Alex is great at what he does!

Alex was such an awesome vendor to work with. You can really tell that he truly cares about his work and did such a great job for our wedding. From a planning perspective, he sent out a very detailed document where I was able to totally share my thoughts + some additional items I would never think of on my own. We wanted the atmosphere of our wedding to be a party and Alex did a great job of starting the night off with music that everyone could get up and dance to, to the music that we really wanted to dance with our friends with. I had several people come up to us, from my grandma to the best man, to tell us that they loved the music. Cant recommend enough!

Vox absolutely killed it at our wedding! 10/10

Nothing but great things to say about Alex and Vox! People came up to me all night during the reception to tell me how great the DJ was. Alex was responsive, professional, organized, and very understanding and easy to work with when we needed to postpone b/c of covid. He made choosing songs very simple with a nice organized google doc. The temperature on our wedding day was in the mid-90s and Alex sprinted from the ceremony spot to the reception to make sure he was there to play music for cocktail hour before any of the guests arrived. That’s dedication. Our outdoor dance floor was full all night with people dancing and having a blast….did I mention it was 95 degrees? I really don’t think people would have been as eager to dance if the DJ wasn’t playing banger after banger.

The DJ is one of the more difficult vendors to decide on b/c it’s harder to “see” their work like photographers or videographers, so I really hope this review sways you to use Vox b/c I honestly think he had a huge impact on how fun our wedding was!

DJ Vox is the only way to go!!!

Working with Alex was one of the best experiences of our wedding! Not only does he provide you a google document full of all of the details of your day to make sure that the music and timeline match perfectly for the entire day. Vox did an incredible job with a wide variety of music we wanted played and I didn't hear a single song all night I didn't enjoy! He also provided our lighting which was very well done. Working with Alex was a delight from the first day, through our COVID reschedule, and on the day of the wedding. If you want someone who will give your guests a good time, really read a room well and play what will keep people dancing, and keep your day running on time- look no further! My only regret was that the night and the music and dancing had to end!! My husband and I are already trying to figure out how we can do another event just to have Alex come DJ it!!!

Truly amazing wedding DJ!

Choosing Alex at Vox DJ to be our wedding DJ was one of the easiest decisions we made in our wedding planning process. We first met him over Zoom and it was immediately clear to us what a great fit he would be for our celebration. Alex is professional, genuine, kind, and kept our guests dancing all night long. Even months after the wedding, our friends and family often tell us how much fun they had. We are so grateful to Alex for that! He did a superb job with the music all throughout our wedding day. The music at the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception was exactly what we had in mind. We felt that he really cared about us as a couple-- he met with us before the wedding and provided a document where we could write song requests for each moment of the wedding day. The whole thing was absolutely perfect! It’s so important to pick vendors that you can fully trust, and we’d pick Alex again in a heartbeat. Don’t hesitate to choose him as your wedding DJ!

Don’t look any further- hire Alex!

My fiancé and I had heard of Vox through vendor recommendations, and we were torn on who to book because hiring a DJ is tough! You can’t really look at photos to tell quality of a DJ. Luckily, we could go and check Alex out at TOPO. I didn’t even want to leave TOPO because he was playing such great music. We knew on the spot he was it, and he did not disappoint. We loved working with him and our guests loved him. He took all of our suggestions and was just super professional and easy to work with. I promise you won’t regret booking him!

Alex from Vox DJ was the best DJ and MC we could have had at our wedding. He was able to flow between the different portions of the night in a seamless way that was never awkward or choppy. I was also so grateful for his communication and flexibility with our venue’s COVID requirements. He was also more than open to all of my requests and suggestions which was so nice. Alex is such a nice guy that clearly knows what he is doing and really knows how to get a crowd engaged. Organized!

DJ Vox was organized and very helpful. He made finding songs easy. He had an organized schedule where all you had to do was pick the songs you wanted and he even has a helpful song list to help you choose so you don’t have to think of them off the top of your head.

Alex was super accomodating and understanding to work with our specific requests we had. We matched with him great over other DJs due to his laid back and professional personality. Keeps everyone dancing!

Alex of Vox DJ was the perfect person to have behind the board! Josh and I (and our people) have super different tastes in music, and Alex navigated those waters seamlessly. He gave everyone a little something, and then artfully followed the crowd and kept them dancing all night long! He’s wonderful to work with, and has a great system to guide you through your choices before the wedding. But he’s also great at those game-time, keep-them-dancing decisions! You should definitely book Alex for your next DJ-able event!!!

Easy to work with , Created the Perfect Atmosphere

We worked with Alex from Vox DJ, and he was fantastic. He was able to offer us a special package specifically for the needs of our venue, The Cookery and was completely prepared for a rain set up (even though we didn't need one).

As we were planning our wedding from far away, our first meeting with Alex was over the phone. We were immediately on the same page about creating an atmosphere that makes guests comfortable and encourages everyone from 9 to 99 to dance. He really listened when we talked about what types of music we liked and more importantly didn't like. We received a TON of compliments from our guests on the reception music, even from some of our harder to please relatives. All of that credit goes to Alex.

Vox dj is the best dj!

Vox DJ had my dance floor packed out all night at my wedding. It was a great mix of songs we requested as well as songs the DJ knew everyone would love. He was on time, professional, had awesome equipment, and was kind and helpful all day during my ceremony and reception. Hire Vox DJ if you want your guests to have fun and dance! Vox also made sure all of my music and musicians sound was perfect during my ceremony. If I could give them higher than 5 stars I would!

Yassss to Vox DJ!

We used Alex for our cocktail and reception music and so happy we did.

We had already witnessed him dj before at my best friends wedding but I didn’t know the name of the company and it was almost a year before I got engaged. After my husband and I got engaged a friend was telling us about this wedding she went to with this awesome dj and it ended up being the same one from my friends wedding!

Alex was incredibly responsive, super easy to work with, professional and awesome.

We weren’t worried about a single thing and we had an amazing night thanks to Alex.

Fantastic DJ!

I initially chose to use Vox DJ for my wedding because I instinctively trusted Alex after speaking with him, and I am so glad I booked them! Alex was wonderful through every step of the process. He is organized, responsive, and will answer any questions you may have. He's got a great personality that makes working with him easy, and leaves you confident that he'll bring plenty of energy to your event. My husband and I were a little all over the place with our music requests (everything from 80's rock to 2019 country), but Alex blended it all expertly. He measured the vibe perfectly - keeping it a little more mellow during dinner, and then pumping it up to get everyone on the dance floor when it was time. And the dance floor never emptied - I even had guests tell me they can't remember a dance floor staying that full at any other wedding! All and all, I would book Alex again in a heartbeat, and would recommend him to any friend.

Alex was great! He was very receptive via email through the whole planning process. He also had great tools to help us personalize our song choices/playlists. I also appreciated that he was not too overbearing as a DJ. He didn't overwhelm the reception with cheesy antics like some DJs do. He did a great job executing all the details that we specified. Professional, experienced crowd assessing DJ

DJ Alex really brought a lot of hype to our dance floor and kept things moving. FYI: our dance floor was hopping the whole night and we had a dry wedding. If that doesn't speak to his expertise, then I don't know what does. Stop Looking! You've Found Your Wedding DJ!

WEEKS after our wedding, friends and family are still commenting on how amazing our DJ (Alex) was and how much fun they had dancing at our reception as a result. We’ve heard from both our older relatives and younger friends that they’ve never seen a DJ do a better job of reading the room or keeping the dancefloor packed. We couldn’t agree more. Truly, hiring Alex was one of the absolute best decisions we made while wedding planning. Not only did he make sure the reception was an absolute PARTY, he also provided background music for dinner and cocktail hour that PERFECTLY captured our vision.

Additionally, Alex’s professionalism and responsiveness were second to none. He was always incredibly responsive when we had questions and was extremely flexible when we decided to add ceremony sound services at the very last minute. The tools he gave us for planning our music were easy to navigate and gave us the option of being as involved or as hands-off as we wanted to be.

Finally, and maybe most importantly, Alex is just a genuinely wonderful and authentic person, and that translates into the way he MCs. We’ve been to a lot of weddings where DJs have seemed like sort of cringe-worthy, radio-personas, but Alex MCed with complete professionalism in a way that never seemed gimmicky or cheesy. He just had a really natural, authentic presence that blended seamlessly into our wedding day—almost as if we had asked one of our friends to DJ and MC. Truly, if you’re on the hunt for a wedding DJ, you can stop looking because you won’t find anyone better than Alex.

May 4th Wedding

We had such an amazing ceremony/ reception thanks to our DJ Alex! Alex was extremely organized when planning music for both the ceremony and reception . He made it extremely easy to find songs for each time during the day. The reception was a blast! He suggested uplighting which looked great in the venue . Our dance floor was packed the entire night! Alex knew what songs to play and when to keep the reception lively. We had so many guest express how awesome Alex did! I would highly recommend this company!

So Much Fun!

DJ Alex was such an awesome choice for our wedding! He was extremely responsive and professional, and he definitely brought the fun element to our wedding. He had us out on the dance floor the entire night! Our feet are still sore, and the family agreed that his ability to read the crowd was impeccable. Even our 80 year old grandparents were out there at one point doing the twist! His planning tools were extremely helpful. We were able to tell him exactly what we wanted (and more importantly what we didn't want). He was far from your stereotypical cheesy emcee - it was all about the music.

DJ Alex was absolutely amazing and we could not have asked for a better DJ. Throughout the process he was extremely helpful, organized and responsive – which really helps with the stress and makes you feel extra comfortable and at ease. He’s willing/able to be involved at whatever level/degree you prefer (e.g., you can choose all the exact songs you want for the whole night and he’ll play them - or if you aren’t wanting to invest time in that, you can just give him a genre and he’ll take it from there). On our wedding day Alex adhered to everything we asked and did an excellent job of reading the energy of the room and adjusting the music accordingly – the dance floor was definitely the favorite part of our wedding! He also custom mixed a song for us for our first dance which was absolutely amazing! We couldn’t be happier with our choice.

One of the best decisions we made!

I cannot say enough good things about Alex and Vox DJ Company! I have been to a lot of weddings, and I may be biased but our music and dancing was by far the best. He was so accomodating, did not play any songs that were on our "Do not Play" list (you would be surprised at how many DJ's don't honor requests!), played all of our "Must Play" songs, and he isn't afraid to jam with you. There was some miscommunication on our part about having introductions and the traditional dances, but I emailed him a couple of weeks before the wedding and he did not hesitate to get everything perfect for the night of our wedding! Several of our guests said that he was the best DJ they had ever heard! Our reception was so much fun, I think we danced for four hours straight! I would recommend Alex and Vox DJ to anyone!

Alex did a great job providing music for my daughters wedding, both ceremony and the reception. This was an Indian Wedding at Market Hall in Raleigh. He was awesome and able to combine the different genre, the Indian music that we provided with all the selections that we requested from him. We really enjoyed having him around, he was charming and absolutely integral to a wonderful wedding day and awesome memories. Everyone at the wedding was on the dance floor and the place rocked!! it was fun. He also provided the up-lighting which really added an additional pizzazz to the wedding ambiance.

Alex was amazing to work with. He was really worked with us for all of our needs at the wedding. Vox DJ Company was amazing. Alex was extremely accommodating and was available to answer our questions and give suggestions whenever we needed them. We didn't hear from him much after our initial meeting and contract signing, but when we reached out he was usually responsive and helpful. He worked on our timeline, which for us, meant that we squeezed in a ton of details at the last minute and he handled all of them! Our guests LOVED the music and the dance floor was active all night long, even with a wide range of age groups and lots of guests that don't usually dance. We had a unique situation because we (the bride and groom) don't dance at all - DJs usually ask what you like to dance to and what music you like and we were zero help in that department, but Alex was completely able to work around that. Our best man kept people interested in dancing in our stead and he said it was easy thanks to Alex. His prices were very affordable too, overall a great value!

You can tell Alex knows (and enjoys) what he is doing because he’s an amazing DJ and the music didn’t stop! It was obvious from first contact that DJ Alex takes his craft seriously. Each event is carefully crafted and personalized using information provided by the host/hostess. We couldn't be happier to have had Vox DJ! Alex did an incredible job at our wedding reception. It was so important to us to have lots of people dancing at our wedding, and everyone was out on the dance floor until the send-off! We loved planning the music, and the online music planner was easy to use. We also had the ability to send Alex playlists from Spotify or just email him requests. It was very flexible. He has a planner for the whole reception to make sure the evening goes smoothly. There was a perfect balance of directing the guests with what was happening next (for example, directing them to the cake cutting) but not making it all about the DJ. The songs were exactly what we wanted and he had awesome transitions between songs. He worked so well with our wedding coordinator (Steph at Melrose Knitting Mill!) to make the evening run smoothly. We highly recommend working with Vox and Alex for whatever event you are hosting!

We used Alex for ceremony coverage and reception, and every transition was seamless and professionally handled. We’ve received so many compliments about the quality of the reception dance music. Alex was incredible! Honestly, the DJ was one of the details we didn't think to plan for as much, but it's the vendor your guests spend the most time interacting with (besides catering, maybe?). After our wedding, we had so many guests reach back out to us telling us how phenomenal Alex was. Toasts, introductions, transitions, sound quality, and dancing were all superb. DJ Alex was fantastic at my wedding! I had to plan my wedding from Texas so I never was able to meet him before the big day but he had everything set up and ready to go and there were no issues. He was able to provide a lapel mic for the reverend and extra speakers to make sure the guests to hear the music during the cocktail hour from various parts of our venue. He had a great questionnaire for my husband and I to fill out together beforehand so the order of events and all the songs were ready to go and I didn't have to give any direction on the day of. Even when our family's speeches went over in time he was completely professional and was able to get the evening back on track. I would highly recommend his services to anyone.

Today's our 1 year anniversary and as we reflect back on our special day, one of the best parts of our wedding was the incredible work of Alex capturing the vibe of our wedding with amazing music and keeping our guests dancing all night long. We were told Alex was the best DJ in the triangle and they were so right!! Alex is easy to work with, caters to your audience, and really makes the reception fun! We didn't really know what kinds of music we wanted at our wedding. All we did was give Alex a few samples and he was able to create a perfect playlist based on that small sample. He is also very thorough in terms of where there should be music. We chose a few of our non negotiable songs and left the rest up to him. He also does a great job as an MC and also does lights! The lights were beautiful at our wedding and added an extra touch. Lastly, Alex keeps the dance party going!

DJ Alex from Vox DJ Company was one of the best things about our wedding. Alex, from the very beginning, seemed experienced, knowledgeable, and more than willing to answer any of our many questions. My husband and I made good music a priority for our wedding, and therefore, wanted an excellent DJ. From the first time we met over coffee at Bean Traders, I knew Alex was the right choice for our wedding. Throughout the entire planning process, he was super helpful and extremely responsive - something I value a LOT. His planning Google Doc really spoke to me as a hyper-organized person, and the tool that allowed you to select your must-play, don't-play songs was awesome! My fiance & I had a great time picking out what songs we wanted to play, and Alex was really great about connecting with our ceremony singers/performers to make sure everything was ready to go. Then, when the day itself actually came, Alex was PERFECT. He played to the crowd, worked really well with our wedding planner & had even conspired with my fiance behind my back so I could be serenaded by our favorite song!! We are so, so happy that we went with Vox/Alex for our wedding. We told Alex that we wanted our reception to feel like a big dance party, and he absolutely delivered. His song choices/mixing kept our guests (both young and old!) dancing the ENTIRE night—the dance floor was never empty, and everyone told us afterwards that Alex was amazing. During our months of planning the wedding, Alex was VERY easy to work with: responsive, professional, and gave us really helpful advice and planning tools that guided us as we shaped our reception and music choices. While we requested a small handful of specific songs and artists, we basically told Alex what "vibe" we were going for and told him a bit about our guests—somehow that managed to be enough for Alex to figure out exactly how to keep our guests happy and partying all night.

Alex was an amazing DJ! From the very beginning, he was so easy to communicate with, answering all questions in a super timely manner and with great detail. He took the time to really get to know us and what we wanted for our wedding day. Then, when the big day came, he blew us away even more! Everything was coordinated perfectly for our ceremony. And, from the moment he started the dance music to the very end of the night, the floor was packed. The energy was amazing and our guests had a blast dancing to the music. We had so many guests comment about how awesome he was and we would definitley recommend him to anyone planning a wedding or any other event!!! We totally would redo the night a thousand times if possible!

VOX/Alex was the DJ at my friends wedding in Raleigh NC. At the time my now husband and I weren't even engaged (although we'd already bought the ring) and I got VOX's card - I knew I had to have Alex at our wedding in Charlotte, NC. Two years later on May 7th 2017 of course DJ Alex was the DJ at our wedding.. I couldn't have been happier with my decision.

Alex took care of everything from providing us a detailed Google doc to help us make our decisions, to then making sure timing and music was absolutely perfect on the actual day.

Alex has a way of reading the crowd and catering to that so your grandma isn't listening to JaRule but your friends aren't sitting in a corner, bored hearing yet another Tempations song.

I wouldn't hesitate recommending VOX and Alex to anyone and everyone. He's the best at what he does, professional, responsive and just all around good guy.

Alex is the best. He is so organized, and so much fun, and he kept our dance floor full ALL NIGHT. My guests kept bringing up how amazing our DJ was days after the wedding. Alex also accommodated a wide range of music requests, including Kpop songs. He also did uplighting for us, and it was GORGEOUS. My husband was not sure if we needed to invest in uplighting, but I had insisted. After the wedding, my husband commented on how Alex’s lighting made the venue look even better!

Alex was AWESOME!!! We cannot thank him enough for the amazing time we had because of his awesome jams! He was EXTREMELY organized and responsive which made it stress free. He provided a detailed google doc to fill out to make sure we had everything covered. His online music portal was also extremely helpful. He was so patient with us when taking forever to select our music. You can tell he loves what he does. His energy is contagious and he was dancing the entire time with us while DJing. Out of all of our wedding vendors DJ Alex was irrefutably the best choice we made. His responsiveness, attention to detail, and professionalism were unparalleled from the get go, and you can tell he has a passion for his craft instead of just being there for a job. From the ceremony, to the cocktail hour, to the reception he helped run the show seamlessly, and was on point with reading the crowd. We received several compliments later on about how great the music was! His online playlist builder was also very intuitive and made it easy to add (or filter out) songs. Overall just a great guy and a pleasure to work with. 5/5 Stars and we cannot recommend him highly enough!!

We had DJ Alex and Vox DJ company at our recent wedding. Alex was so great to work with! He was very organized from the start - providing us with a Google document that we could use to outline the reception timelines, music choices, first dances, and toasts. His website also had a nice tool for selecting songs for the reception. He kept our friends and family on the dance floor the entire reception. We had Trevor Trout as our Wedding DJ on October 8. He absolutely rocked the house! He played all of our requests and had everyone on the dance floor from start to finish. He was also very good with the crowd and had an awesome personal touch. Trevor also helped accommodate a special request. We wanted my brother, who is a musician, to play a song at the wedding, and Trevor was great at setting it up. The caliber of audio and equipment was top-notch. I would recommend Trevor for any and all future DJ events! He is a pro.

Alex runs an excellent business. Although Alex did not DJ our event, he was in contact with us about all the logistics. He also met with us in person and introduced us to Trevor. The caliber of customer service from Alex was outstanding.

DJ Alex from Vox DJ company was awesome to work with. He was extremely accommodating and he sent us a document which outlined everything he needed to know to successfully DJ our wedding (i.e. first dance song, names of parents, etc...)-- which without a doubt helped to make my job as the bride easier. He also provided us with great links to pick songs from to add to our own personal playlist. He was wonderful during the reception, with both the selection of songs that were appropriate for what was going on (i.e. eat dinner vs. dancing) and took requests on the spot! I would suggest DJ Alex to anyone looking for an awesome DJ!

Would highly recommend Vox DJ. Alex was incredilbly easy and professional to work with. He created an ambiance at our reception based on our personal preferences that really flowed. To let you know, our personal preferences were Boy Band Pop and 90's hip-hop and he managed to negotiate those two things with aplomb. I can't begin to express the value of the product you will be getting if you hire Vox for your wedding or reception. We feel quite fortunate to have found him, as he was important part of creating a seamless celebration for us.

Alex did such a great job at our wedding. He was our DJ and he also did our lighting. Everything went extremely smoothly. He is such a professional and had everything planned out well ahead of our wedding. We told him we wanted him to bring the party and he did exactly that! His style of DJ and mixing are great. He's great to collaborate with and he has a great energy. My wife and I don't like the conventional wedding music and he accommodated that by playing songs we provided for him through an online playlist.

Alex was the best! Any time I had extra requests (mics, lighting, sound system changes) he totally accommodated, up until the last minute. Alex also is so easy to communicate with, as he is very quick to reply to emails. This makes for a less-stressed bride-to-be for sure. Even in the middle of the reception with hip hop blasting, my father requested a slow song, and alex made the potentially-terrible music transition so seamless.

I personally think that DJs have it the hardest at weddings, because it's really up to them to get a party going and make the atmosphere what it is, or else it will just be people awkwardly sitting around at their tables. I won't lie, i was a little nervous since my wedding was sort of small, I wasn't sure he'd be able to round up a sizeable group for the dance floor. But I was so impressed (as with a lot of my friends and family afterwards) that Alex totally got the job done. Everyone was out dancing and it was so much fun! I specifically requested to not have those terrible group dance songs played (cha cha slide, cupid shuffle, etc) and everywhere I read online, this was a big no-no, because those participation dances are what gets everyone to get out and dance. But I took my chances and Alex totally knew how to get young and old on the floor without playing those cheesy numbers. Incredible DJ with a knack for amazing mixes and reading the crowd.

Alex is an amazing DJ. He was incredibly responsive and always available for phone call meetings. Planning a wedding many states away was stressful and Alex made the music for the ceremony and the reception a non-issue. He read the crowd like a boss and mixed every song together so fluidly that there was no silent down time between songs. It was perfect. Highly recommend his services!

DJ Alex was WONDERFUL!!! He did such an amazing job at our wedding this April - he worked with us before and was so organized with his plan for the wedding, was patient while we took forever to chose songs, was super helpful in giving us tons of song recommendations, was very affordable (definitely amazing quality for a great price!), came early and set up for our outdoor ceremony and provided the best DJ services that I've ever experienced (honestly!!)! Alex was super flexible - our rowdy wedding party threw him quite a few curveballs but he had the best attitude and rolled with everything with the biggest smile on his face! He was so professional, and he played fantastic music the entire reception - so many people were on the dance floor ALL NIGHT - I was so impressed he kept everyone dancing constantly - I got so many comments from our guests on how great Alex was! Alex far exceeded our expectations and we would 100% recommend him to our family/friends!! He made our wedding the best ever and I couldn't be more happy with our choice of DJ!!

Alex was a phenomenal DJ at our wedding ceremony and reception!! He definitely helped make it a night to remember :)

My fiancé and I really enjoyed working with Alex because immediately we could tell he was very passionate in this career. Before we signed our contract, Alex went out of his way to meet with us and go over a tentative schedule/package. He was always quick to get back to us and very customer friendly. His website made it really easy for my fiancé and I to build our wedding playlist. Alex has thousands of song suggestions, from ceremony options to cake cutting. My fiancé, Alex, and I had a written up template for the wedding day and that really helped me feel more relaxed/less stressed. We also noticed how great Alex was at keeping our guest on the dance floor...it was never unoccupied. We have already been asked by several guests for Alex's contact information and we send it along with high praises. Thanks Alex!

DJ Alex was awesome! We heard about him through mutual friends who told us that DJ Alex can even get the non-dancers to dance! There were no system glitches, the sound was amazing, and his method of mixing music was fantastic. We received so many compliments from the guests.

We also used his uplight service -- we were particular about the kind of ambiance we wanted to create (we wanted a classy and warm look) and it was exactly what we had envisioned.

DJ Alex also provided us the AV equipment for our officiant, best man and maid of honor so we saved on renting microphones and speakers from another vendor.

If you want a fun wedding with people constantly on the dance floor, DJ Alex will not disappoint. We had our wedding in DC and we asked him to come all the way from NC. He is that good.

We are so lucky we had Alex as our DJ at our wedding! My husband and I became interested in having Alex as our DJ when we saw him at a friend's wedding. Not only was he doing his job (playing the latest music and getting the crowd pumped), he also looked like his was having a great time. I've been to weddings where the DJ just plays a track and sits back, playing on his phone -- this was definitely NOT Alex. He worked with us, up to the very last minute, to make sure we had what we wanted. Alex was very flexible and attentive throughout the whole planning process. His Wedding Reception Planner also made it very easy for us to organize our thoughts and timeline. We are so grateful for Alex's services and his enthusiasm/passion for what he does. So many of our guests complimented him and another one of our friends also had Alex DJ at their wedding!

Alex was a great DJ. We saw him at a friend's wedding and he was great and decided to have him for our wedding. He was more than happy to drive up to Virginia from
North Carolina for our wedding. He was very flexible, responsive, and fun! Before the wedding, we communicated via email and he made sure that everything was planned out and confirmed everything with us to make sure they were okay. Many of my guests commented how much fun they had thanks to Alex. Having Alex as our DJ was one of the best choices we made for our wedding :)

Vox DJ company was absolutely perfect for us. Alex was very accommodating, always willing to meet and discuss details in the lead up to our wedding, and provided us with all the tools necessary to help him be prepared as far as playlists, etc. Needless to say he was great the day of the wedding. The reception was a blast, he did a great job of keeping the event flowing and the dance floor was packed from start to finish. My husband and I loved Alex! He did such an excellent job reading the room and playing whatever our guests wanted to hear to keep the party going. Prior to the wedding, he always responded to our emails quickly and fulfilled all of our music requests. He downloaded a specific song that I wanted for when I walked down the aisle. Our friends and family also complimented us on how much fun and lively our dance floor was, which would not have been the case without a good DJ! I've already recommended him to my friends, and I would recommend him to anyone else! He's awesome and reasonably priced!
