Great experience for guests and great keepsake for us!
I had booked a video booth service (similar to Voast) for my wedding more than a year out, and was devastated when they emailed me 3 weeks before my wedding telling me they were going out of business. After frantically Google searching, I discovered Voast. I was so relieved that I could book their service despite the short notice, and the whole experience went so smoothly. We received the rental unit 3 days before our wedding, and we easily returned it the Monday after our wedding with the prepaid shipping label. One thing I loved about Voast vs. the previous service I booked was that Voast gives your guests prompts on screen for their videos. It made it so much easier for people to participate when they received prompts to get them started! It also kept things moving along and prevented guests from rambling on. :) I loved that there was an option to customize the prompts, but we opted to stick with the Voast default ones since we figured they knew best. We received our videos back 9 days after our wedding and could not be happier with our decision. Seeing all our family and friends so candidly (and perhaps a little tipsy) at our wedding has been so entertaining and endearing. It means so much more to us than a traditional guestbook because we will forever be able to remember our guests as they were on our wedding day. We had friends and family coming up to us all night saying they've never seen anything like this video booth before and that they had so much fun with it. We ended up with about an hour of footage from everyone, and it's an incredible keepsake for us. AMAZING! Definitely recommend Voast
Loved Voast! It was super easy to set up. I love that they send it a little early so we could have it at all our wedding weekend events. Having it at the welcome party, wedding, and the brunch after gave our guests plenty of opportunity to use it and our video turned out AMAZING! so thankful they also sent all the raw video footage so we could see the... Less appropriate things our intoxicated guests said without it being in the finished video. Thank you Voast! We must have watched our video 100 times.Loved Voast! It was super easy to set up. Most fun addition to our wedding!
We had a voast kiosk (video guest book) at our wedding and our guests had so much fun leaving us video toasts (it was obvious while watching the final edit that Voast sent us of all our friends and family on that day). All video footage lost
I can’t even write this without crying. I ended up going with Voast over a videographer because I wanted to have a video I could look back on forever, even show our kids one day. It was a hit at our wedding and everyone loved it. We received an email from the company letting us know that there was a “bug” in their system and none of our video footage was captured. Nothing can take away the pain I feel knowing I decided to forgo a videographer and capture raw moments from our guests. I have been crying even thinking about it just knowing we will never be able to capture this moment ever again. I advise to go with another source as this company has no back up systems for files, so if they’re lost, they’re lost. An unprecedented software failure did in fact happen at this event. We of course provided a full refund, offered of custom "virtual voast" to re-capture videos and more but we know that NOTHING can replace the magic of recording these video messages on the big day. This is completely unacceptable and is completely on us.
Full stop.
When Facebook goes down, we miss our favorite cat videos for a few hours. When a wedding photographer, videographer or app like ours has a critical technical issue during the event, we miss capturing important moments that will never happen again. It is truly heartbreaking and we appreciate Taylor's desire here for others not to experience this type of sadness.
For context, our kiosks have been used to capture over 500,000 personal videos from around the world as well as capturing precious moments at hundreds of weddings. To clarify, we surely have backup systems for files– in this case it was actually a matter of the videos not being successfully recorded in the first place. Of the half a million videos we've captured, we discovered this failure after a recent update that affected a few events within a limited timeframe. It was the result of 3 uncommon things going wrong at the same time, creating the perfect storm for this exceedingly rare scenario.
We have now completely solved the issue and have implemented further safeguards to assure this can not happen again.
