Highly Recommend for Weddings in the DMV

Venessa was just what we were looking for in a wedding photographer. She met us in advance of our wedding for an engagement photoshoot in our D.C. neighborhood, and we loved getting to know her and getting comfortable in front of the camera. On our wedding day, Vanessa spent time with each of us at our getting-ready locations, and moved efficiently through our first look and family portraits without ever making us feel rushed. She even made sure to capture some special photos of our pre-ceremony family dance party. We wanted authenticity in our photos, especially once the dancing got started, and that is just what we got. Venessa got right down into the dance floor and really captured the energy of our party, as well as the quiet moments between the two of us. She was easy to work with, friendly, and responsive. Highly recommended for weddings in the DMV!

Our Wonderful Experience!

We had the best experience working with Venessa for our wedding photos and video! From our first phone call, she made us feel so comfortable. We had a wonderful engagement shoot together in Georgetown where she really brought our vision to life. The whole shoot felt fun, and there was a perfect mix of candid and directions for poses. This was the same through our wedding weekend. She brought such great energy, and she coordinated with our other vendors to make it all a smooth process. We are so happy with all the pictures we’ve gotten back!

The BEST photographer!!

I choose Venessa for our wedding photographer for our September 7th wedding. She has been absolutely amazing from the start! Before booking, we had a quick call and she was so sweet and thoughtful. Once booked, she helped us come up with a perfect location for our engagement shoot. Leading up to the wedding, she was very detail oriented. She sent us documents to make sure she knew exactly who we wanted pictures with on the wedding day. She also listened to all the inspiration ideas/pictures I sent her! On the wedding day, she was amazing. She was really there for my husband and I! She made sure we got all the shots but also stayed on schedule! All our family and bridal party raved about Venessa and how kind she was and on top of everything! She knew how to get everyone in the right places in the right times.
All of our engagement photos and wedding photos are absolutely beautiful! We are so obsessed with all the pictures and highly recommend her to anyone looking to get photos done. I can’t wait to use her for any and all life events moving forward!!

Captured our day perfectly!!!

I can’t even put into words how happy I am with our wedding day and engagement photos. Venessa and Pam were truly such a treat to work with and so incredibly talented! When I was looking for photographers for my wedding, it was very overwhelming because there’s just so many options out there. I was looking for a photography style that is timeless and fluid and didn’t look like your average staged wedding photos. That’s when I came across Venessa’s page. It was perfect- everything was beautiful and exactly what I was looking for. We hopped on a phone call and hit it off right away. Venessa is so personable and kind, and I could tell she was someone I wanted to work with on my big day. I shared my vision with her and some inspo pictures and let me tell you- she executed them to perfection and better than what I originally imagined. I also do want to note- my husband and I are not good in front of the camera- we’re usually very camera shy and don’t know how to pose but Venessa helped us and guided us on what to do the entire way. The pictures turned out amazing, Venessa and Pam were such a highlight of our wedding day. and I would 10000% recommend Vness Photography to any future brides out there - you won’t regret it!

Above and beyond expectations!

I’m not sure an online review can encompass the professionalism and quality we received from Venessa. Her responsiveness and detail when working with us for our photos was more than I ever expected from a photographer. Her keen eye for special moments between us brought tears to my eyes when we received our photos. She truly captured love in photo form.

Her flexibility when the venue “wasn’t ready” on the wedding day and navigating with large crazy families is second nature to her. We can’t thank you enough for calming nerves and capturing one of many special days to come for our family! ❤️

Picture Perfect!

Venessa really knows how to capture the moment! We all know how in a blink of an eye our special day comes to an end! Simply the best photographer

Ahhhh Venessa! Not only is she the best she’s just so amazing. She has the best personality and just puts you at ease. She made us all feel so comfortable never seemed stressed or pushy. We talked about we really didn’t want super posed shots and really wanted to just have the day captured and that’s exactly what she did. Fantastic photographer and amazing person!

Choosing Venessa as our wedding photographer was probably the easiest and best decision we made — she’s amazingly talented! Whether it was our first consultation, engagement photo session, or the big wedding day, Venessa was always professional, communicative, and extremely helpful every step of the way. She made the photo sessions fun and natural, and she brings her creativity to bear no matter the weather or conditions. On our wedding day, Venessa and her colleague Linda went above and beyond to help keep us and our families organized and on schedule. She even stepped in to help out with other logistics, including driving me across the venue site so my dress wouldn’t get dirty! Couldn't have asked for a better photographer!

It's not an overstatement to say the Venessa was pretty much the highlight of my wedding day. She is so professional, kind, funny, and personable and made the hours of photos fly by. My husband and I are not huge fans of taking photos but she made it SO fun and it really reflects in our photos. I am obsessed with the sneak peak photos - which she sent to us early the morning after our wedding, which was so impressive! Leading up to the wedding she was very responsive and organized. We met up at the venue to meet each other and walk through where photos would take place. On the day of the wedding she surprised us by bringing an assistant (who was also amazing!) and I felt so calm in their very capable hands all day. Venessa even helped me get in my dress when my mom couldn't get a part of it on right, she masterfully arranged the dress and veil for photos, and she wrangled my family and friends expertly throughout the whole day and somehow even kept us ahead of schedule. Do yourself a favor and hire Venessa ASAP!

Will Cherish Forever

How do I even summarize how amazing Venessa is? She's extremely talented at her craft, super professional, and will easily become your best friend. She was right by my side throughout my entire wedding day, snapping every important moment and checking in with me to make sure I was doing ok through all the hecticness. Venessa has been there though so much with my husband and me; our engagement, our postponement, our mini Covid wedding, and our big celebration. Perfectly Captured Memories

When we had to move forward with our originally postponed from May wedding in August due to our state being open, one of the things that carried us through was knowing we were going to have the most gorgeous photos to capture our day and oh did they live up to all we hoped for! Venessa was so gracious in working with us as we moved things around and was such a great addition to our wedding team from helping us feel comfortable in front of the camera during our engagement photos, to navigating where and when photos would occur during our walk though, to delivering absolutely gorgeous photos. She is a pro at family portraits, keeping them moving so you can enjoy cocktail hour, and she acted as the kindest enforcer of our masked and socially distant photo rule. While you have to wait a bit for the finished photos, they are well worth the wait. Venessa and our second photographer, Linda, were so positive and personable, even when walking all over the place in the Virginia heat. I cannot imagine finding a better photographer!

Professional and amazing photographer

I could not be happier with Venessa’s work. Venessa was the photographer for my friends wedding in which I was part of the wedding party. She did a great job then so I decided to hire her for my own wedding. My husband has a very specific eye for art and photos, so he had very specific style requests for Venessa which she executed on perfectly, but also gave us great instructions and guidance during our photos which was so helpful as we felt awkward never having done any professional shoots before. She has a great eye and got every shot we asked for but also came up with new great shots that we didn’t initially think of. We loved both our engagement photos and the wedding photos.

Aside from just the photos themselves, she has wonderful customer service. She had two assistants who did everything from holding my bouquet for me, fixing my train, and carrying around blotting napkins for me (it was very hot and I was sweating through my make up, but you would never know thanks to them!). I also had a huge wedding party and Venessa did a great job keeping everyone under control without being aggressive. She and her team were also “in the background” but in command, and got photos from every angle. She was also incredibly timely for turning photos around. I asked for a few photos a few weeks after the wedding so that I could order thank you cards, and she actually gave me ALL my photos as a surprise!

Overall loved working with her and her team, and will probably hire her again the first chance I get!

Highly recommend!!

Venessa is truly amazing, I cannot recommend her highly enough. She worked seamlessly with our other vendors to make sure that I didn't have to worry about any logistics or about timeline - she made sure there was enough time for any and all photos we wanted. She was seemingly inexhaustible and maintained such a positive high level of energy all day, always keeping an eye open for any photo opportunities or unexpected photo shots. Unlike many photographers, she made sure to include lots of photos of friends and family - not just of us. That did not come at the expense of having beautiful couple shots though - we have so many wonderful photos of the two of us, that it is hard to pick! This is in stark contrast to many of my friends who only ended up with one or two couple photos that they liked. We got a huge variety - not just kissing shots or standard portraits. The quality of the photos is so high, and we have gotten so many compliments from everyone we've shown them to. In addition, Venessa is bilingual (English and Spanish), which was such a major asset for us (my husband and his family are Mexican and Spanish) and helped so much with the photo taking. Finally, we got access to ALL the digital photos she took, and we can download them all, which is just amazing. We didn't have to choose a subset, and we could freely share with friends and family. I cannot speak highly enough of Venessa, she documented every moment of our day with beautiful, high-quality photos.

Fun and professional!

Venessa is a pro! I knew from when we first talked on the phone we were going to work well together. She responded to emails quickly and was super flexible with times and locations for our engagement pictures. She helped with my timeline and offered her suggestions which made a big difference in our day running smoothly. My husband and i loved how she handled our immature wedding party and got the photos done in a fun way, but in a timely manner. She knew exactly how to pose everyone every single time. Wonderful person and beautiful photos

We did engagement photos and wedding photos with Venessa, and she was wonderful to work with. We haven't seen final wedding photos left, but we loved our engagement photos, so I have no doubt we will love the wedding ones as well. Venessa did a great job navigating the wedding to get a variety of pictures, but it never felt intrusive. She was communicative before the event and met me at the venue the week before so we could have places in mind for different photos. She is super-friendly and easy to work with, and I would recommend her to anyone else for their wedding as well.

Where to start?? Venessa and her team were absolutely AMAZING! From the engagement shoot to the wedding day - her work is just beautiful and captured all the special moments that we want to have and cherish for years to come. Right from the start, Venessa was a pleasure to work with and it felt like we were out with a friend rather than our photographer. She was kind enough to drive to Delaware for our engagement photos and was wonderful with directing our poses and finding beautiful backdrops. She has a wonderful easy-going and fun spirit that it really was just fun being out with her. Just after a couple photos, you can tell that she has the eye and experience to capture beautiful moments and photographers. On the day of our wedding, rain was in the forecast and she took the initiative to modify our timeline to ensure that we could get as many photos outside as possible before the rain, which I can't thank her enough for! Through the humidity and rain, Venessa went above and beyond to get all the shots that we were looking for. When it was raining for our family photos, she was kind and flexible enough to figure out a way to take the photos in the tent, which ended up working out well. Don't hesitate to have Venessa photograph your event! Venessa has a lot of experience under her belt and it shows in her portfolio. We loved her style and the moments she captures. From the first meeting with Venessa we really clicked. Finding the perfect photographer for our wedding was very important to me because the photos are what lasts forever. Planning a wedding is stressful enough as it is, and having full trust in Venessa eased the stress a lot. I am so happy with everything Venessa did for us. We had two ceremonies spread over two days and she worked with us to design a custom package to cover everything we needed. At our engagement session, she really spent a lot of time getting to know us and what we wanted. She worked seamlessly with our other vendors on the day of and captured everything we want and more. One of the best things was we got access to digitally download all the photos she took so we didn't have to choose! She's also just an incredible person and we loved getting to know her. I am so happy we used her and will look for any excuse in the future to book her for another event!

AH, Venessa is a dream photographer! Leading up to the wedding she is a pro. She has a plan and is accommodating to what you want but will keep you in line when things aren't realistic. This is so important! Her and I instantly connected during our pre-wedding phone calls. I didn't meet Venessa until the day of but I felt like she was my best friend, photographer and fairy godmother all at the same time. She was great with guests, handled our large wedding party with ease and captured all the beautiful moments. Our pictures are breathtaking! We loved working with Venessa! It was important to us to get photos on the national mall and Venessa knew exactly where to go to get the best ones as well as the right permits to have to ensure a hassle-free day. The photos were beautiful, fun and perfectly captured our day. Our friends and family love the pictures at the Lincoln Memorial, and we do too. We had an absolutely fabulous experience with Venessa. I’m not a huge fan of taking photos and didn’t really have too many opinions on where or how they got done but she helped me feel comfortable, took great photos and left me to worry about nothing the day of the wedding. UPDATE: Venessa was incredible on our wedding day! She captured everything we could have hoped for and even asked me if I thought she got everything and stayed to take some additional photos I requested even when our time was up! The photos are so beautiful and I could hardly pick favorites!
So far, we have only had our engagement session with Venessa, but that is enough to let me know how incredible she is! I have a fiance who loves to make goofy faces in photos and is certainly not one for professional, posed, romantic photos. Venessa put us both at ease, laughed with us, and gave us photos more beautiful and true to our relationship than I could have imagined. Beyond her skill and great personality, she is flexible and so easy to work with. We are getting married in DC but currently live elsewhere, and she was willing to come to our current city to do the engagement session! I am so happy we found VNess Photography and will be referring everyone with weddings in the area to use her!

Venessa is absolutely incredible! My husband & I cannot say enough wonderful things about our experience. We had a particular request to have our engagement photos done in Baltimore. She had no problem at all traveling for us and for our wedding in Frederick. Our photos for both events turned out better than I could have hoped for. She was professional, fun, sweet, and understanding! I cannot wait to frame all the beautiful pictures around our house. We will be using her for years and years to come! : )

Vanessa was incredible!! I'm so glad my sister in law recommended her. She was very reasonably priced and her quality of service and attention to detail is what every bride is looking for. Even though I knew which package we signed up for she kept many of the little extras a secret until the very end. Venessa is AMAZING! I work in the television industry and was really picky about my vendors. After an exhaustive search, I found Venessa's work on The Knot and Wedding Wire. Her pictures are so vibrant and full of life that I knew I had to contact her. The most important thing for me when looking for a photographer was to make sure they were comfortable with coverage. I had a traditional South Indian wedding with many rituals and ceremonies. It was super important to me that everything was captured. Although Venessa had never photographed a South Indian ceremony before, she was excellent! She did her homework, stayed in contact, and was able to get every detail of the event. If you are looking for a versatile wedding photographer who really loves her job and cares about her client, Venessa is the person for you!

I first met Venessa when she did my sisters wedding in 2015, and knew I had to have her when I got married in August of 2016. She did both our engagement and wedding, and both times the photos turned out beautifully!! She really did capture every single moment on our special day and when I look back to those pictures, I start crying all over again. Venessa is that type of person where you feel like you have known her all your life. It is that friendship where you can give her a look and she knows exactly what you are thinking. She makes things entertaining during your time with her. I always felt weird when people were taking pictures of me, but with her I never felt uncomfortable because she makes it that easy. She will tell you how to pose and what she expects, but never be mean about it. I cannot count how many times we all started cracking up from laughing trying to get that serious shot, or start tearing up because of how special that moment is. She is very professional and a great person to work with. She emails back quickly. Fast with getting your photos back to you. Always texting back when I had some type of idea or question, and never seemed annoyed with me. She was on board with all my crazy Pinterest ideas :) On my wedding day, she really helped to calm me down by coming early because it was supposed to rain and I was nervous we wouldn't be able to get some of the photos I wanted. She was able to make me laugh in times I wanted to break down and cry. Venessa is worth everything because she offers more than just awesome photos. I would pick her over anyone else in a heartbeat because she is that great! You will not be disappointed!!

We had a blast working with Venessa as our wedding photographer. I found out about her when I asked an acquaintance who did their wedding photography - I had seen their engagement pictures online and loved the natural style and the way the photographer captured the couples personalities. My friend told us it was Venessa and that they had an amazing experience with her so we reached out. We knew it was a good fit right away as she was so warm and friendly during our first meeting, she has a great sense of humor and was easy to work with from the start. She helped us choose a photography package that was affordable and within our budget. We did our engagement photos with her last year and they turned out absolutely gorgeous. We felt totally comfortable being ourselves around her and in front of the camera. We just got married a couple weeks ago and can't wait to see our wedding photos! My husband and I used Vness Photography for our wedding in Washington DC last year. I was planning my wedding from another State, so I was concerned about finding a phitographer that I cliqued with. Venessa was so warm and immediately made me feel comfortable even over the phone. When I met her in person, her great personality shone through and I knew we had made the right decision.
I'm very awkward in front of the camera and I expressed a need for help w poses. I also wanted a lot of candid shots so that I felt like the photos looked natural. Venessa captured the energy of the entire day! She is amazing at what she does. She managed to make me look beautiful and comfortable in all the photos hahaha which I was so thankful for.
She helped us plan our offsite photos at all the different monuments that we wanted to capture. She was so easy going and funny- it was like hanging out with a good girlfriend. I wish that Venessa lived in my State because I would have all of my friends who have been getting married at least put her on their list of photographers to consider. I recently had a baby and the first thing that I thought when I started to think about capturing memories was "oh I wish Venessa could take my baby's portrait!"

Venessa was absolutely wonderful to work with. I love her photography style, and our pictures turned out beautifully. We got married this Spring on the National Mall in D.C. I chose a weekend in late March that I thought might be early enough in the season to avoid most of the tourists’ crowds. However, cherry blossoms hit unexpectedly early this year right on our wedding day, so of course there were tons of people around the Mall. Venessa somehow navigated around all these people, and we ended up with beautiful pictures. We also had a lot of kids under 5 at our wedding. All my relatives commented how great Venessa was with the kids, and how cute all the photos with kids turned out (not always easy). Venessa knew exactly where to go near our location to avoid the crowds and get amazing pictures, even during the most crowded day of the year! Her prices were very reasonable, and I absolutely love our wedding photos! I would highly recommend Venessa to anyone.

Venessa was such a pleasure to work with. For me, one of the most important vendors for my wedding was the photographer since I wanted to have beautiful photos that we can look back on many years from now to relive all the special memories from the day. I spent an enormous amount of time researching and looking at galleries of photographers in the area and Venessa’s stood out by far. In addition to her quality of work, her pricing was very reasonable.

Venessa was quick to respond and offered her suggestions in order to make the day run smoothly. We had Venessa and a second shooter and they were able to capture every moment without anyone noticing their presence! It took longer to get our USB than anticipated but Venessa was nice enough to give me the ability to download the pictures from the online gallery so that I’d be able to order some gifts in time for Christmas. First, I actually did not meet Venessa in person before we decided to move forward with her for our special day. I know crazy, right? But, Venessa made me feel that much more comfortable by phone and email because her ease, flexibility, kindness, professionalism, and creativity shines through no matter the form of interaction. Second, her quality of work is evident in her portfolio, but having personally never done a professional photo session and having had a small intimidate event did not change Venessa's dedication and attention to every detail. Finally, Venessa, put simply, just managed to fit in with my husband and I as well as our entire family ranging from small children to senior citizens on all levels and that alone is not an easy feat! She knew exactly how far to stretch her unique picture setting boundaries, how to capture every moment without anyone even noticing her presence, how to accommodate to last minute requests, and how to just join in on the fun. We loved her and only hope we to continue to have her by our side to capture all our special moments in the future.

Venessa was simply wonderful. We really enjoyed her company from the moment we met her. Things started off great with amazing engagement photos, which gave us a great opportunity to get to know Venessa and also get used to being photographed. In the days leading up to the wedding, Venessa was very responsive and helpful. She was on time and prepared to work. And she works hard! Our wedding day she was efficient, organized and just directive enough to get everything done in a timely and organized fashion but also without be too forceful or rushing anyone.

She listened to what we wanted and she certainly delivered! Our images are beautiful and really capture the most important thing about our wedding--the energy and emotion that we felt and experienced that day. I don't know how she did it, but she allowed us to relive the day through her photographs. Isn't that what everyone wants from wedding photos? Venessa is a wonderful photographer and a kind person. Venessa was wonderful to work with. When we first started looking at wedding photographers in the DC area, we were overwhelmed on two fronts - first, the sheer number of vendors; second, the cost of some vendors. We decided we were not going to have a videographer, so we knew we wanted our photos to be truly special and tell the story of the day.

After looking at Venessa's work and seeing her reasonable prices, we set up a meeting with her and were immediately impressed. To say we aren't naturals in front of the camera is an understatement, and I knew I had a winner when my then-fiance said, "I could see her fitting in with our group well."

We were able to start with our engagement session, where she made us feel comfortable and at ease. When it came to planning for the wedding day, she was helpful, flexible in our photo requests, and gave us suggestions on the timing of the day. She and our second shooter were on time, flowed seamlessly into our schedule, and captured our moments. We also used her photo booth services, and our guests enjoyed the live action photographer as something a little different. We couldn't be happier with our photos, and are so thankful we found Venessa!

I absolutely LOVED working with Venessa. I'm so grateful she was there to capture our special day.

What first drew me to Venessa's photography is that it looks timeless, not trendy. I know the photos she took on our wedding day will still look spectacular and elegant when we look back on them in 10, 20 and 50 years down the road.

The day of the wedding was flawless. We wanted to get all the photos done before the ceremony, and Venessa made sure everything went smoothly and quickly. I didn't feel rushed at all, but we still had plenty of time to catch our breaths before the ceremony began.

On top of her awesome photography, Venessa is SO incredibly nice. From engagement photos to the day of, she made us feel totally comfortable and relaxed.

She edited our photos and got them up online in less than a week -- I was so impressed with the quick turnaround! They turned out better than I could have ever imagined. Worth every dollar and more.

Vanessa was able to photograph our civil ceremony on very short notice (less than one month). She was quick to respond to my initial inquiry and follow-up questions and reached out to me a couple days prior to confirm. She arrived beforehand to scout out the area and was ready to start shooting as soon as we arrived! It was a short and sweet ceremony outside, and she was able to capture the day (including some great shots of our very handsome pup!) We received the edited photos in 3 weeks, and they were gorgeous!!! Vanessa does a great job. Vanessa even sent a very nice memory box with the printed photos and a flash drive of all photos (since we all know computers do crash!).

Venessa was very professional and always on time. While she had her own suggestions regarding the placement and timing of shots (and, as she was the pro, that was expected), she still was flexible with our wishes as well as the wishes and rules of the church where we had the wedding. Venessa's smile and welcoming attitude allowed our guests to relax and take some wonderful pictures. The pictures themselves were very high quality and everyone who has seen them (ourselves included) was impressed. Venessa was also professional, responsive, and timely following the wedding. My fiance and I just had our rustic engagement photos done by Vness Photography. I can't say enough how in love I am with how the pictures turned out. Venessa really has an eye for creativity. Venessa was a pleasure to work with and made sure that our photographs were both creative and tasteful. Stunning Photos

We hired Venessa to take the pictures for our wedding. Venessa was really easy to communicate throughout the process over email and phone. She helped guide us on what we could expect for the different planning stages of our wedding as people that were inexperienced with planning this large of an event. She did a great job of taking our engagement photos and getting them back to us in a prompt manner. Regarding the day of the wedding, unfortunately Venessa had a personal emergency the week of the event but she was able to schedule another high quality photographer as back up to make sure we were taken care of the day of the event. Furthermore, she also communicated this news as soon as she found out so that we would be prepared on our end, which is exactly what I would expect in an atypical situation like this. We waited about 6 weeks for the turnaround time on our photos, which was longer than expected. We received digital copies of all of the photos and could download them in high resolution without issue.

Venessa was a pleasure to work with for our engagement shoot and wedding day! She was super sweet and flexible with us throughout the entire process. We aren't the most serious couple when it comes to photos and Venessa rolled with it and helped us to create some great joy-filled goofy photos of our wedding party! She was totally adaptive to our ideas, even getting down in the dirt during our camping themed engagement shoot! I would definitely recommend Venessa to people looking for excellent quality photos that capture natural light and the joy of your wedding! She did an awesome job!

An Honest Review

We hired Venessa for our wedding and wanted to write an honest review. Venessa was a joy to work with leading up to and during the wedding! She was communicative, pleasant, and patient when we had to postpone due to COVID. So it was quite the shock when we opened our wedding photo link to find:

*Various moments missing that we knew had been photographed
*Venessa’s head in the mirror of many posed family photos
*Orange skin tones & graininess due to editing choices
*Disappointing framing - particularly with the groomsmen photos - amongst a few other complaints

We immediately brought this to Venessa’s attention. While Venessa agreed to do another pass, her emails contained a range of excuses. We wish she would’ve owned it instead of leaving us feeling like we were in the wrong for asking for what we knew she was capable of delivering (her 2nd round of edits were much more in line with what we’d hoped for!).

Eventually, we received not only the reedited photos, but HUNDREDS of new ones. And many of our favorites are photos that weren’t even included the first time around. She edited out her head, removed the grain, and softened things up. Seeing these fixes, we can’t help but feel that Venessa’s first edit was hastily slapped together.

We appreciate Venessa taking the time to have another go to meet expectations, but wish we had received the better quality photos without having to ask. Had we not reached out, we would’ve had far fewer photos and, frankly, photos that we didn't want to share.

We had Venessa and Raiza photograph our wedding and were really happy with the photos! Right from meeting Venessa, we felt so comfortable with her and liked her style (both personality and photography). She was responsive to our emails and questions when we reached out. We did have some last-minute logistical headaches with figuring out the location of our first look, but were really happy with the brand new (for Venessa) shooting location we chose in the end. Venessa and Raiza worked really well together, that part was pretty seamless, and overall they made our bridal party feel at ease. At the ceremony and reception they were very much in the background, not intrusive at all, which is exactly what you want. We couldn't wait to see our pictures and were really happy with the quick turnaround of the blog post, online posting, and then ultimately, receiving the USB drive in the cutest box in the mail! (We love having the photos all digitally.) They turned out so well in the end, despite the weather not really cooperating, in fact we like the outdoor ones the best! My only issue was the late start we got to photographing the day, about 15-30 minutes, because they were stuck in traffic getting to our hotel. While that doesn't seem like much, on a day where everything is so rigidly scheduled, that meant 15-30 minutes less time of getting ready and/or first look photos. I think this is unusual for Venessa though because just a couple weeks before the wedding, she was telling us about getting stuck in a 3 hour traffic jam before another wedding (fluke DC issue) and just making it on time, so clearly she left plenty of extra time on that occasion. Overall we were really satisfied with the quality of the photos, the value, and working with Venessa!

Lovely Individual, Disappointing Product

The headache that it was to receive quality edited photos counterbalanced the pleasure it was to work with Venessa on my daughter's big day. I was disappointed with the photos initially received. Seeing Venessa's head in the mirror in photos and then seeing what she was able to improve upon when asked to do another editing pass had me baffled as to why anyone wouldn't take the time to present their best work in the first place. Second round of photos were much improved, but some things, like amateurish framing, can't be corrected.
