Melissa and her team was great on wedding day! They are all very personable and nice. They definitely made me and my husband comfortable in front of the camera. We are definitely not picture taking people. Would recommend her to others!

Incredible photos and highly professional

Melissa and her photography partner James are great to work with. They're prepared, punctual, and very good at coaching you even if you consider yourself awkward in front of the camera. James is especially bubbly and was so kind in helping me fluff my wedding dress and bringing my partner and me water during our photoshoot. I initially chose VIVIDfotos for my engagement shoot because I was looking for exactly their particular style of photos. They capture the true beauty of a moment without being overly stylized or edited. Melissa just has an incredible eye for composition and lighting. I was completely blown away by the engagement photos and immediately booked VIVIDfotos again for my July 2025 wedding. I've received a set of preview photos from the wedding and cannot stop obsessing over them. They're stunning and I couldn't be happier. With VIVIDfotos you're also getting personalized service. A few weeks before the wedding we decided we didn't need 8 hours for our wedding shoot, and asked Melissa if she would allow us to amend the contract. She did so without hesitation and allowed us to credit some of the hours to a future shoot at no cost, even though it will be more work for her to set up her equipment all over again. As we learned with all of our vendors, Melissa is extremely busy and may be occupied with other things, so you may need to remind her of any particular needs the day of your shoot. We had asked for a change of outfit at our engagement shoot, and weren't sure about the protocol for this. We didn't bring it up until the end of our contracted time. She granted us extra time for photos in our 2nd outfits at no extra cost. If you're looking for a very professional photographer who is guaranteed to deliver outstanding quality photos, look no further.

Amazing Photography and Awesome Service!

VIVIDFotos is awesome! When we reached out to them, we were thick in the tumultuous world of COVID days, haggardly planning amidst our third date change. We needed another photographer, and VIVIDFotos was accomodating and understanding of our request. They were also flexible with our various changes, be it switching venues, adding on a last-minute hour of photography, or dealing with sudden outdoor gathering restrictions!

On the day of the wedding, Melissa was fantastic. When the shooting location we originally planned on taking photos in fell through, she thought of another place for us to take photos. Though neither me or the groom have posed much for pictures before, she managed to get us and the wedding party comfortable and loosened up through all the photos. She also captured every detail of the day of, from stills of the decor to candids of the reception! When we received the photos, we were floored by how beautiful it all looked, as well as how promptly we received them! We absolutely recommend VIVIDFotos to capture your wedding!

VIVID Fotos does really amazing work in their photography and videography! Our engagement and wedding photos were so epic and beautiful! Mel and her team were so fun and easy to work with and the whole team was so professional and organized! Our same day edit was so beautiful we all cried happy tears!

Perfect from beginning to end!

VIVIDfotos is truly the best! We were familiar with their work because they did a few of our friends weddings and we knew right away that we loved their style. Our Same-Day Edit video was so perfect and our guests loved it! They captured so many beautiful photos, we love them all. From beginning to end, Melissa and the entire team were so helpful in working out the details for capturing all the memorable moments of our wedding. All the personal touches and correspondence for the months leading up to our wedding made it a wonderful experience. We are so excited to use them again (not for another wedding, of course! lol) but for any future baby & family portraits as well.

Thank you, VIVIDFotos!

We chose VIVIDFotos to photograph our destination wedding day because we were blown away by the quality of their photography. On their website, you can view a full wedding and you can tell that they really calculate their shots, but with efficiency. We booked them two years ago when we started planning because we just had a good feeling about them. And we were right. Mel & Bal were so responsive to our emails (remember, we’ve been back and forth for about 2 years!) and nothing got lost in communication. They even sent us a “Welcome Packet” that had tips on what to expect on the wedding day and even a suggested list of group photos to take!
Throughout the whole planning process, they were so professional, responsive, thoughtful, and overall great.

Fast-forward to our wedding day, Mel and Crysta were so professional & friendly. I’m not good in front of the camera, but they coached me through everything, every single time. They were so organized, systematic, and efficient with their photography. Talking to them didn’t feel like we were talking to vendors or “people we booked.” They talked to us like we were friends for a long time, and that’s honestly how it should be when it comes to photography or videography. They made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera.

Although we did not book them for videography, they do a stellar job with that as well.

We cannot thank VIVIDFotos enough for spectacularly capturing all the moments of our special day!

My fiance and I received a free engagement session after winning a raffle with Vividfotos! Being new to the whole wedding scenario and having pictures taken, they helped us feel comfortable the whole time. They made it easy! They had us laughing the whole time!! We were so thrilled with their work from the engagement session, we went back and asked them to photograph OUR WEDDING!! You can not go wrong with this team of awesome photographers. Can we just gush about VIVIDfotos??!! Talk about a downright talented, professional, warm, and accommodating team. VIVIDfotos was one of our favorite vendors to work with. They met with us several times to get to know us as a couple, answer any questions, and understand our concerns and desires. They did whatever it took to get the perfect shots during our engagement photo session and during our wedding! We had a Christmas wedding, and we mostly worked with Melissa - we nicknamed her "Melissa Claus" because every time we saw her, she was just so warm, accommodating, and always had cookies for us. :0) We chose VIVIDfotos because we fell in love with their dramatic, photojournalistic style and the way that they incorporated the landscape into their work. As we got to know them and work with them, we noticed how quickly they would reply to our emails and how they would go above and beyond to make sure we were happy. Even down to the littlest details, like their packaging, or sending us cards in the mail, or the helpful hints and tips they would give us, the sneak previews, the signature edits - we really just felt so catered to - it's like VIP treatment the entire time! After viewing our same day edit, the Best Man whispered to me, "Hooooo, that was the best same day edit I've ever seen." The entire wedding party was in tears. We are just beyond grateful that we got to work with the VIVIDfotos family. They helped us document the best day of our lives in the most beautiful and emotional way. You will not be disappointed.

They were our very first vendor to book in Hawaii! My husband & I are from NYC, and we came to Hawaii a year before our wedding and we booked VividFotos first (even before a reception venue!). Bal's eye for things is truly a gift. He was able to capture such great photographs. To this day we stare at our engagement photos in awe and are eagerly awaiting our wedding photos.

I had a vision on how I wanted my wedding photos to look, and I know that they will always give their 10000%. Thank you so much guys!

We hired Melissa as our photographer for our ceremony on Secret Island and we are very happy with how the photos came out. Her portfolio showed the sort of style we were looking for and she captured some great moments. She was quick to respond to emails and calls and we received our photos 2.5 weeks after our wedding. Melissa and Balbino were our wedding photographers and we 100% recommend them! We met with them prior to the wedding to review the order of events, desired shots and locations, and other details. They had great recommendations and suggestions and on the day of it all came together. They captured beautiful moments when we were getting ready, during the ceremony, and during the reception. They did a great job capturing the lighting and the beauty of our venue. They kept everything really nice and relaxed and were really great at guiding us through all of the shots and making recommendations when needed. We got our finished photos and USB and we are absolutely thrilled with the results. We used the "Perfect Pair" package with them and the videographer 10th Letter Media, so if you are looking for a videographer as well, they are a great team.

Melissa and Derek from VividFotos were amazing and we are so happy we chose them to photography our big day! From the very beginning when we first inquired with them, to the very last photo taken at our reception, they have been nothing short of amazing. We absolutely love all of our wedding photos by VIVIDfotos and are so grateful for their helpfulness throughout the planning as well as the wedding day! Mel and Bal are such good partners throughout the wedding process: from the time that we first chatted (while they were on vacation!) to fine-tuning our album.

In addition to their artistic skills, the team has awesome communication, attention to small details like helping me get into my wedding dress (at the moment that I really needed help), and patience and professionalism in working through a hectic yet important life event.

The wedding day flew by so quickly. Thanks to VIVIDfotos, we have beautiful photos, both posed and candid, that we can always look back and remember our wonderful time at the stunning island with lush, green surroundings and breathtaking ocean views.

Vivid Fotos did an amazing job on our wedding photos. Melissa is awesome. She captured all of the details from us getting ready in the morning to us dancing the night away. She brought our love story to life. I have always believed when prioritizing your wedding budget you should not skimp on your photographer because when it is all over your pictures are all you have left to remember the day. Melissa and Balbino were absolutely wonderful to work with! They captured our wedding day and also did a trash the dress session with us! Our wedding photos turned out beautifully and we received all of our photos (including trash the dress) about 1 month after the wedding. We love all of the photos so much; we've had a hard time narrowing down our favorites for the photo book that they included in our package. We wanted to do an underwater trash the dress shoot and our photos turned out so much better than we could have imagined! It was a ton of fun and I highly recommend it to anyone who is brave enough to take the fanciest swim of your life! Mel is great about getting back to you in a timely and prompt fashion and they were beyond patient with me and my list of group photos that I wanted. We highly recommend Mel and Bal and you will love working with them!

We used VIVIDfotos for our engagement shoot and our wedding. They were amazing and we couldn't have asked for more! They captured our wedding day at the YWCA perfectly. Our friends and family loved our engagement/wedding pictures.

Balbino and Melissa are always fast to return emails and came up with unique ideas for pictures. We thought taking pictures would be awkward, but with Balbino and Melissa, we had a lot of fun and they are easy to work with. We felt like we were working with friends. They are always professional- from the presentation of the final pictures to the packaging of the album. They will go the extra mile- from adjusting my wedding dress to meeting us at a convenient spot. Pricing was reasonable. We would highly recommend them.

Mel and Bal were one of the nicest vendors we came across. They're very responsive to emails, they don't mind meeting you at weird times of the day and they always put the bride and grooms wants first. We had so much changes to our wedding but Mel and Bal were ok with it - they just went with the flow. We got our wedding pictures back (in about a month) and it came out stunning! Melissa and her husband were amazing. They were very flexible leading up to the wedding day as far as making appointments and changing schedules. Day of was seamless- at least that's what it felt like to me:) They were very organized and committed to getting the best shots. We were pleasantly shocked at how quickly the turnaround was! I am the one taking forever to get the book done. The slideshow that was included with our pictures was not expected and greatly appreciated- the little something extra that meant a lot to us. Vividfotos was awesome to work with. They were very accommodating and creative. From a couple not knowing what we were doing when planning our wedding, vividfoto was there to help us create a timeline and brought up a lot of details that we would have missed. Melissa and Bal were extremely helpful from start to finish. They were quick to response via email, phone call, and text messages. Very flexible in meeting us and gave us lots of tips for numerous items (from what kind of paper photographs better in pictures to an example day of timeline and etc.) Of the products that we purchase, was what was promised to us and was really made well.

We first met Melissa and Balbino from Vividfotos at a Bridal Expo where we were lucky enough to win a free engagement session. The quality of the photos were so great that we decided to use them for our wedding as well. They were great with communication and helping us figure out our timeline. They were flexible even when my bridesmaids were taking a little extra time getting ready. The photos for the wedding were amazing and the prints they provided were great. I don't even know where to begin. Melissa & Balbino more than exceeded our expectations. From working with us from so far away (we are in CA they are in HI) to keeping in great contact (quick and thorough) to helping plan the day (helping us come up with a timeline as we couldn't afford a wedding planner and we wanted to make the best use of the time we had them). They were also ready and willing to roll with whatever was thrown at them (anything and everything went wrong that day). We were so pleasantly surprised to see SO many awesome shots, we didn't think it was even possible with everything that was going on. They were super quick and extremely professional. They also suggested a post bridal shoot (to get more intimate pics of us and our daughter) because our time at the venue was short. Those pics are what we will treasure forever. My fiancé and I won a engagement photo shoot with Vivid Fotos from the Bridal Expo July 2014. This was really exciting as we were not planning on doing these photos due to costs. They were really flexible in scheduling photo shoot as well as giving us suggestions on location based on our vision. They edited our photos really well, so we ended up getting a great deal for everything and for such great quality of service. We were thoroughly satisfied.

Balbino & Melissa were fun to work with. Prior to the engagement photo shoot, my husband and I were nervous because we've never taken professional pictures before. However, once we met up with them at the location, their personalities and professionalism made us feel at ease and as I said, it was a lot of fun working with them. The knowledge and skills that they have are fantastic and our pictures came out great!

My husband and I are so grateful for Vividfotos! Melissa and Balbino were so easy to work with, very easy to connect with and the quality of product they provided us is amazing (also very reasonably priced)! We started out with a simple engagement session and as soon as we saw the results we booked our wedding details. From that point on we had nothing to worry about; they were prompt to respond to us, stayed in contact, and made sure all the details were perfect, from our engagement photos to our Love Story Video to the Day-of. We had a large number of family visiting for our destination wedding so we definitely tested Vividfotos' flexibility, they always accommodated to our requests. Melissa and Balbino of VIVIDfotos were amazing! Our engagement photo shoot with them was such a great experience. They were very flexible when it came time to arrange a date. We felt at ease with them capturing photos of us that we will cherish forever. We wound up falling in love with all of the shots that they took that we had such a hard time making decisions for our prints and book. We couldn't be more satisfied with their service. Mel and Bal were awesome!!! They were very easy with. The photos came out great especially with the special vivid touch! They came up with great ideas from guest books to large portraits for our wedding. I would definitely have them again for another event

Balbino and Melissa, a husband and wife team, were very pleasant to work with throughout the entire process. From engagement to wedding day to post bridal photos, they provided us with great suggestions on photo shoot locations and we loved the way our photos turned out. An extra bonus for us is that they also produced a love story, which is, yes, video, but it turned out great and we were able to share our story with everyone. Their selection of products, like metal and canvas prints and photo books, were very exceptional. We are very pleased with our photos, the products we received, and the quality of service provided.

Great photos! I got nothing but good comments on all of the pictures. We had such a great time working with Vivid Fotos. They were so easy to coorinate with and made the long day of picture taking fun for everyone in our party. The quality of their final products is outstanding which makes it a great value and really worth the investment. Presentation of your prints, digitals, large formats and album makes it even more special. My only comment is that I would have liked to take more creative poses. But even the traditional ones, came out great!

This married power team is EXCELLENT at photography! Their shots are unique and interesting. They are extremely responsive and professional. I had two totally different photography sessions with them and were impressed with both. You will not be disappointed! :)

Though we are not using their services for our wedding day, we purchased items from them after our engagement photo shoot (that we won through a wedding expo). It was nice to work with Melissa and Balbino, who are a married couple. Like us who work in the same industry, it's nice to see couples enjoy their career together! They made us feel super comfortable and was able to explain how to pose so that we could get the shots that we wanted. They also helped us pick out a location, as my fiance and I knew that we wanted a beach photo shoot.
