We truly could not have asked for better photographers for our wedding. From start to finish Sam and Monica were amazing at their jobs. They were friendly with our guests and took perfect photos, capturing all the little details and moments that are easy to miss on such a busy day.
I heard about this later from my guests, but apparently right before the ceremony (it was outdoors) someone started mowing their lawn very close to our ceremony site. In order to get to the person and alert them to stop, Sam walked right through a patch of poison ivy and went straight up to the guy to get him to stop. It’s not every photographer that will go that extra mile for someone, and we are very grateful for that.
We also got our photos back literally 1 week after the wedding, which was a LOT faster than we were expecting. They turned out great, we love every one of them! We went with collection B, which includes an album of selected photos. Can’t wait to get the album! -

We talked to several photographers in our area before meeting Sam and Monica. They were relaxed and put us at ease while discussing details. We did an engagement session with Sam to get to know him better and make sure we would be happy come our wedding day. Not only did he keep us laughing, he got some fantastic pictures of us. Both Sam and Monica came out for the wedding and it was such a comfort having them and their experience there for us. They come super prepared and are on top of all the best pictures. We’re waiting for the final results but just know they’ll be as good or better than our engagement session. We would hire them again in a heartbeat. -

There are truly no words to express how grateful we are to have chosen Samuel Walker Photography to capture our special day. The photographers you want in your corner on your big day!
From the beginning, we knew that Sam and Monica are prepared, thorough, but still made everything accessible and friendly. During our consultation (before we had even picked them!), Sam had already looked up sunset time on our wedding date and built a potential timeline for the day. As a detailed planner myself, I was blown away by all of the knowledge and experience they bring.
Throughout the whole process, from our engagement photo shoot to our first dance, they made themselves accessible and kept us in the loop. They were very responsive when we had questions.
Monica went above and beyond normal photographer duties, and helped my mom bustle my dress! Sam is one of the friendliest people we've met and really took the edge off our nerves on the big day!
We hadn't considered that having a friendly team of photographers that we had great chemistry with would be important on our wedding day, but we are so glad that we chose Sam and Monica. They know how to elicit genuine reactions and emotions, and capture those in the photos and videos. They were also great with our families and good at managing large group photos and transitions.
We were blown away by our final photos and videos, and how many special moments they captured that I didn't even realize were happening. The turnaround time was incredible.
We cannot recommend them enough!! -

We had a fantastic experience with Sam and Monica as our wedding photographers. We had numerous calls with other potential photographers but as soon as we spoke with Sam, we knew that they would be perfect for our big day. He was always quick to communicate, flexible with payments, attentive to detail, and overall was a big help in planning our event.
During our initial call, we explained that we already had our engagement photos taken by another photographer but he insisted that we do another shoot with him so that he could understand what we wanted and how we interact with each other. We were SO glad that we did this as the photos ended up fantastic and are now all over our house.
In the weeks leading up to the ceremony, Sam was instrumental in us finalizing our timeline and the fine details. During the day of the wedding, Sam and Monica somehow captured everything. The getting ready shots were non-intrusive but turned out excellent. The groomsmen and bridesmaid photos were both a ton of fun and are now great keepsakes with our closest friends. The first look and private vows were captured beautifully and are some of our favorite photos. During the ceremony and reception, I didn't even notice Sam and Monica at all but they captured every moment we hoped for and more.
The thing that stood out most to me was the speed and quality that they were able to edit and return the photos to us. Sam said that he stayed up nearly all night after our engagement shoot and had ALL of the photos to us by the next morning. For the wedding itself, we had an excellent selection of photos ready for us the next day and the full album after a few more days. This was such a pleasant surprise for us as I have heard of so many people waiting weeks to get their pictures back.
Overall we could not have been happier choosing Sam and Monica for our wedding photos! -

Sam and Monica are great people and amazing to work with. They take the time to understand what is important to you about your special day. Your likes, dislikes, etc. The communication and input from them was second to none. They helped us so much in the process of wedding picture planning and timelines during the big day. I could not recommend them enough! The pictures were amazing, they captured so many great moments that will forever be appreciated and loved. Hiring them was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. -

We were VERY blessed to have Monica & Samuel photograph our wedding. Although we originally wanted to spend less on photography, YOU PAY FOR WHAT YOU GET. Photos will last forever, and they are what you will be looking at for that long. It is worth NOT trying to skimp on the photography out of anything in a budget. That being said, Monica & Samuel were still very reasonable. They have great charisma, creativity in shoots (not the same poses over and over again), and we are absolutely in love with our photos. You will not go wrong booking them for your event!!! -

Sam & Monica provided a premium experience for our wedding in Newport KY at Headquarters venue in August 2023. They were great to work with and made our day comfortable and fluid. They met all our photography needs. You will not meet a more spirited and superior skilled power couple. -

So personable!
If you’re considering Sam and Monica for your wedding photography by needs, do it! We were so pleased working with them from the beginning to end.
My husband wanted to be involved with wedding planning but there were some things he was more interested than others. He hates pictures so our photographer was not his excitement in planning. When we met with Sam and Monica he liked their personal vibes and was more interested than he had been for any other photographers. Sam and Monica worked with us to design a package that met all of our needs including videography for a reasonable price especially for the amazing work we received!
From here- we threw them unique ideas and aggressive timelines. They were great to work with! Never saying no, while also making my dreams realistic! We had a blast with them all day and they did great directing our timeline and adjusting for weather.
Post wedding- we got an amazing sneak peek in less than 24 hours, then we got our pictures in less than three weeks and our video shortly after! If you’re looking for a quick turnaround, WOW did they bring it!
Lastly- they have gone above to provide additional content as requested. I wanted some raw video footage just to have and some pictures of specific people. They provided to us easily and quickly!
Overall- Sam and Monica provided stunning work and were so fun to work with. They truly learn about you as a couple and the work they do showcases the couples personality! -

Best decision
I promise booking with Sam and Monica will be a decision you will not regret it. They are accessible, professional and fun! They make you feel comfortable and capture moments that you didn’t see but make looking back at your engagement or wedding photos priceless. We also are also videographers-book them!! The videos we have are so beautiful I don’t have words to describe them properly. They take so much time and detail to look over and edit your day, they truly care about you. We choose to have two photographers, so glad we did! We didn’t miss anything about of our day because we had cameras all over to capture moments. You have hundreds of decisions to make when planning your wedding take my advice and make this decision an easy one- BOOK THEM! -

Sam & Monica- Unfortunately, you fell victim to our terrible procrastination, how ever late this review may be, it could never change the fact that your presence and role as our wedding photographers was one of, if not THE best decision we made while planning for our special day. You were each were essential in not simply capturing those special and magical moments (which you did most beautifully), but the execution of our entire wedding day. I am so grateful that we found your work, and I genuinely don’t know how we would have navigated that day without you. Even as plans changed, or as hair and makeup took an incredibly huge chunk of time out of our scheduled timeline, he was still able to capture all of the love and excitement of that day. I received so many comments from guests about how professional yet laid-back the photographers were. My bridal party, in particular, could not stop raving about how amazing Sam and Monica were with which to work, and that they will absolutely be hiring them for any type of wedding event they hope to have themselves.
Quite simply, Sam and Monica were just such a pleasure to work with; they made us feel so comfortable that it was difficult to not have a great time during shoots, we had a blast! Monica was more than helpful with so many small details that we didn’t yet realize we needed to have or to do; she was a lifesaver! She even cleaned and polished my engagement ring, and also helped the men with their bow ties! The list is countless- but she was more than happy to take care of, and each detail was perfect! Sam has an awesome method of providing open-ended direction and then letting the moments just happen, naturally. The results are an amazingly realistic view of that moment in time, but just 100% more beautiful!
We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your hard work and dedication to making our day go as smoothly as it could, given some of the last minute hiccups, and we have breathtaking photos to enjoy, share, and reflect on our wedding day. “Thank you” just isn’t good enough, unfortunately, and I wish I had the words to communicate to you how special you are to us.

Sam and Monica are incredible!
Sam and Monica were absolutely perfect for our wedding. They helped our day run so smoothly and they took some of the best pictures I have ever seen. They truly celebrated with us and our family and captured every special moment. Between our engagement shoot and our wedding we have so many perfect moments that Taylor and I shared and so many laughs and happy memories with Sam and Monica as well. -

Sam just finished our engagement pictures and I have to say they’re an absolute dream! Sam and Monica have been so helpful since we first met with them about being our potential wedding photographer. Our package with them includes an engagement session and the whole process was fun! They helped us plan the session from location to outfit advice and when plans changed they were more than willing to go with the flow. Not to mention the photos are STUNNING. Sam is willing to step out of his comfort zone to get relaxed, natural photos where we look our best. I can’t wait for our wedding day with Sam and Monica capturing our genuine selves!

Sam and Monica are the literal dream wedding vendor. Every moment of our day was made better by them. They helped us with our timeline, they gave us great feedback for our plans, and they just genuinely made us feel like they cared about our day and every moment of it.
From the moment they arrived they matched the day’s energy. They worked tirelessly to catch every goofy, fun, sentimental, and absurd moment of the day through an artful eye. I’ve never been so grateful for two people. By the time they left our reception I was so sad to say goodbye. Then they worked so quickly to get us a sneak peek of our photos the NEXT day. I cannot say it enough, but Sam & Monica are absolute MASTERMINDS when it comes to intimate couple photos. My biggest take away after our engagement session was no matter how I felt (e.g., cold- it was super windy, and worried about looking awkward), the photos do not look like how I felt! They made the wind work for us, and really captured our cozy and intimate side. I can't believe they added a video to our session and I cannot wait to see what they do for our wedding day! -

Sam and Monica are the best! We booked them pre-pandemic and they were very accommodating with having to postpone our wedding date to this year. It was great to get to know them and the process during our engagement shoot which made it more comfortable the day of the wedding. I can’t get over our wedding video😭

We were randomly assigned Samuel through Tollman Media, which is a media company that brings on freelance photographers and videographers to cover events throughout different areas of the country. Sam was our photographer and was great at coordinating, communicating, and providing professional knowledge and feedback to any ideas I bounced off of him. For our videographer, we were not so lucky. We were assigned 4 different videographers in between the time we signed on with Tollman Media and wedding day. Our videographers would disappear unannounced throughout that time period until a week before our wedding, we were left with no one to film our big day. This is where I cannot recommend Sam enough. Sam went out of his way to ensure we had a videographer for our day by volunteering to pick it up himself and have his wife sign on as our photographer. The two of them together literally made it possible to capture our dream day. I cannot speak highly enough of both of them! They were so engaged and hands-on, professional with some spunk to help everyone relax and be present in the moments. I will recommend them and only them to anyone who is looking for a photographer or videographer. They will make it happen even when an entire nationally ranked media company fails to do so. -

The most comfortable and professional experience
My wedding day was so amazing and we have the most amazing photos to remember it! Sam was so amazing and made us feel so comfortable, he was able to capture all the best moments and we will cherish these photos forever! Sam is an amazing wedding photographer, his humor and personality kept us laughing and smiling all day long. Sam is an excellent photographer in his own right but he wears many hats, such as helping the grooms with their ties and the bride with her shoes. By the end of the night, we had so many guests and members of the bridal party coming to us and saying how well we chose our photographer. We recommend Sam for any event that you need photographed and he will undoubtedly meet the challenge and more. -

Fabulous!!!
Just book Sam!!
Sam was wonderful to work with. We were from out of state and my husbands family lives in Toledo. He drove there, from Columbus, Ohio, so he could do our engagement photos. He took a lot of time to make sure it was the perfect location for the pictures. He has the most charismatic and funny personality.
For the wedding everyone made comments about how great the photographer was. We all felt as if Sam was a family friend just there taking some pictures. As for the pictures, they were gorgeous! My friends and family were so impressed. I truly don’t know what pictures to pick to enlarge because they are all so beautiful. I would book Sam again in a heartbeat! -

Fantastic experience!
Samuel was wonderful to work with for our wedding! We just received our photos and we LOVE them. Long before the big day, Samuel reached out multiple times to build rapport and plan for the future. On our wedding day, Samuel arrived early and followed our timeline for the day entirely. We had Sam for our engagement pictures and wedding photographer. He did an amazing job! I am so thankful we have so many beautiful pictures of our special day to last us a lifetime. He even stayed past our agreed time limit so he could get more pictures of us as the sun was setting, and said it was his gift to us. We would definitely pick him again in a heartbeat! -
