Working with Debra was the most wonderful experience. When we decided to get married, we didn’t want to go the traditional religious route. I wanted someone who could bring something different to the ceremony and that is what Debra did for us and even more. She told our love story as the basis of our ceremony which was created from questionnaires she sent us, meeting with us for a few hours at her home, and getting to know us a couple. When we heard our love story told for our friends and family, we were both so delighted by how well she captured us as a couple. Our guests even said that they loved how it helped them get to know us better. They loved that it was different than the traditional ceremony and kept their attention the whole time. Debra’s positive energy is infectious and she lights up a room. My mom was very against me not having her pastor officiate, but even she was won over by Debra’s wonderful personality. She loved the ceremony and knew it was perfect for us. My sister was jealous she went the religious route. If I could do it all again, I would pick Debra one hundred times over. She made our ceremony so special and I couldn’t have asked for anything more. -

Debra, from Vista Events, was the officiant at our wedding. We chose her due to the reviews left for her by other couples, and I can say that she earned every one of them. From the very start of working with her, she spent time on a lengthy call getting to know my fiancee and me and finding out how much we had in common. Debra's services are unique and incredibly personalized - she makes you do homework, but everything that she asks for gets transformed and integrated into an incredibly sentimental and intimate ceremony.
Of special note was the ceremony planning session that Debra and Mr. Vista hosted for us. They invited us to their home, and we spent a delightful evening working through all the details of our wedding ceremony. Something that might otherwise have been tiring due to the minutiae, Debra turned into a fun and special meeting, even providing dinner, cake, and a special toast at the end of the session. Even though she does many weddings, she somehow made us feel like we were the only couple in the world.
Thanks to Debra and Vista Events for helping make our wedding a wonderful success. -

Debra is a wonderful person and such a professional officiant. She put a lot of time into working through every aspect of the ceremony with us, which ensured that it went smoothly on the big day. She incorporated everything we desired into it, including learning how to tie an unconventional hand fasting knot. We truly felt centered by her, and by the end of everything, Debra felt like member of our family. -

The Most Heartfelt and Fun Wedding... like Ever
Debra was an amazing minister who took the time to get to know me and my husband. She is so friendly she tries her best to make everything special and memorable for everyone! She was always available by phone, text, and email. She was amazing at helping us write our vows. My husband is not very good with words. She helped him say exactly what he was thinking and the vows absolutely made me cry. She made our day special and made our ceremony an amazing time where all of my photos are just me laughing so hard, crying, and being utterly in love with my husband as we were getting married. -

My husband and I were married by Minister Debra Ann in June of this year. We were looking for a wedding officiant who would work with us to create a custom ceremony that would truly honor our love and the joining of our families! Amazing Officiant!! Highly recommend!
We met with our officiant Debra the other evening for the first time to start planning our wedding ceremony, and she has already SURPASSED our expectations, even from the first planning meeting!! She was so warm and welcoming as was her husband! You can really tell she loves what she does and excels at it! She puts so much love and effort into her work and into your ceremony to help make it so personal! We can’t wait to see the final results and excited to continue working with Vista Events! Debra is such a loving person. She marries with such love, passion, and met every need we had. My brother passed away a few years ago, and I wanted his son, my nephew, to be a part of our ceremony. Not only did she include him, but Debra said such heartwarming things about my brother during our ceremony. Debra was sure our cherry on top. What can’t we say about Deborah Ann? She’s worked carefully and patiently with us ever since we first met her in December 2019, when we’d thought our wedding would take place April 4, 2020. When the pandemic became what it did, she offered to marry us privately and then return for an official ceremony. We ultimately postponed, but we appreciated the offer. She then waited patiently for us to call her to tell her we’d chosen a new date. When we told her we’d selected October 23, 2021, she was the first to celebrate with us! We picked up all our planning right where we’d left off. She actually made the effort to get to know us and in the end became our friend, not just our officiant. Our wedding was a beautiful affair in the end, largely because of Deborah Ann. Her love story for us was one of the most incredible things we’d ever heard. She helped make that day all the more worth the wait. It was very much “us”, right down to our Oscar presentation to go with our movie theme! Her services truly were a gift for which we can never really say how grateful we are.

A day we’ll always remember
Debra was very involved from the start and took what I thought was “just the ceremony” and turned it into something special that I know I’ll remember for years to come. Our guest really enjoyed it also, especially the love story. It was nice to have a few laughs to break up usually boring ceremony. We also opted for the memory box which I really like. It was nice looking back at all the keepsakes we’ve collected over the years and to be able to share that with our guest. -

Minister Debra Ann is truly such an amazing person. She helped us plan the most beautiful Halloween ceremony. I can honestly say I didn't realize how much went into planning the ceremony but Minister Debra Ann took the reigns and made the experience a truly memorable one. She truly cares about her couples and went above and beyond for us. She wrote the most beautiful memorial for my father as well and she performed such a unique smudging for us. I truly am blessed that Minister Debra Ann has come into our lives she is more then our officiant to us she feels like family. Also, you cant forget Mr. Vista who took the most amazing pictures for us. I would recommend Vista Events to everyone!!! -

Working with Officiant Debra Ann was an absolute pleasure. She worked with us despite the challenge of planning a wedding from another city (our wedding was in Chicago and we live outside of Seattle). She was always prompt and responsive in her correspondences with us, which was helpful given the stress of planning from a distance. Wow, what can I say about Minister Debra Ann as our Officiant. Tracy and I had our wedding at Acquaviva Winery on Memorial Day weekend, 2021 and very early on we secured Minister Debra Ann from Vista Events to officiate our ceremony and capture our love story.
We spoke to Debra Ann a few times over the months leading up to the ceremony. She captured every detail of how we fell in love, everything that is special and important to us and unique bonds we have to our family.
Our ceremony was incredible, with many special moments surprises and special things she worked in throughout. I’m not afraid to say that this groom was a complete waterworks as she told our Love Story.
After the ceremony, mosts of our guests came up to us afterward and raved about the ceremony. All night long they were speaking of all that Debra did, and how beautiful and memorable the ceremony was.
If you want a truly unique and memorable ceremony - something very different from an overly structured, wrote, boring script, something incredibly personal and memorable, absolutely use Debra Ann from Vista Events. However, if you don’t want your guests to cry tears of happiness, laugh together as family and really enjoy and remember the ceremony - GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! -

Debra Ann was the minister for my wedding and she also handled our premarital counseling. Even though my wife and I didn't have any major issues to work through, the counseling did help us learn more about each other and grow as a couple. It brought us closer and helped prepare us for being husband and wife. The counseling us gave us a chance to know Debra Ann but more importantly for Debra Ann to know us. One of the services that she offers is a personalized love story. My wife and I were extremely happy with how ours turned out and are very grateful to Debra Ann for spending the time to make our wedding memorable. After the ceremony, we had people asking if she was related to us since she knew us so well. We couldn't have asked for a better officiant for our wedding and made our day feel even more special. Debra officiated the wedding for my daughter recently. We were pleasantly surprised by how organized and professional the ceremony was. It was entertaining, light-hearted, and uplifting. Debra Ann married us on 9/4/20 at Venuti’s in Addison. Throughout the planning period, Debra was always very organized and knowledgeable. She made the ceremony planning easy and fun. The entire ceremony was customized to exactly what we wanted. My favorite part was how she surveyed us separately, and asked us questions about each other. We then heard each other’s responses for the first time during our ceremony. It was a sweet surprise. She also surveyed some of our close family and friends, and asked questions about what they thought of us as a couple. That was also a pleasant surprise!
With Debra everything is personalized to the couple, and nothing is a one size fits all. She is very personable and wants to get to know you and your SO, and she’ll even remember you after your wedding day!
Debra also organized the order of the entrance and the recessional and everything in between. She worked with our musician and other vendors to make sure everyone was in sync. All you have to do is give her their names/contact info and she does the rest.
Several guests at the wedding mentioned after the ceremony how much they enjoyed it. It was exciting and engaging. Some guests didn’t know how we met, and they enjoyed hearing our love story. Others has said it was very personalized and detailed. Even people that knew how we met said they learned something new. When people ask us how we met, we always say “we met at a bar.” However, when Debra shares our love story, you feel like you were sitting at the bar with us watching it all play out.
Everyone could tell our officiant Debra Ann had put a lot of time and effort into writing the ceremony, and it’s was beautifully delivered. The ceremony was fantastic, and set the tone for the rest of the wedding. Our original wedding was planned for March, but was cancelled due to the shutdown.. this ceremony was well worth the wait! Thanks Debra!! -

Debra was an amazing officiant. She is anything but run-of-th-mill; she really took her time to cater the ceremony to our beliefs and created a personalized “Love Story” that was the center of the ceremony. She was flexible with our working schedule and took her time to make sure we had the ceremony of our dreams. Our guest loved the flow of the ceremony; the love story was personable, funny, and detailed giving our guests a snapshot of our lives as a couple. Debra truly goes above and beyond and we would highly recommend her to anyone who wants an elegant yet personalized ceremony. -

We decided on a whim to get married over the weekend. With 3 days notice, Minister Deb customized the most beautiful, loving, and perfectly executed ceremony. She listened to what we wanted and performed the ceremony exactly how we had hoped. We can't thank her enough for the warmth, attention to detail, and love that she brought to our special day. Where do I start!! To begin with, Debra is one of the most vibrant, sweet and thoughtful women I have ever met.
Our first meeting was more than just a discussion about the wedding. It was a session full of caring, advice, and compassion. My husband and I left inspired to love and we felt stronger than ever as a couple.
Every single detail was discussed and thought out. You will get what you wished for and MORE. She suggested things that I did not even think myself which made our ceremony unique and unforgettable. One of those that swept our mothers away was the rose ceremony. During the ceremony, we both went over to our moms, hugged them and handed them a rose as a sign of unity and appreciation. Our mothers cried of happiness and it left them speechless. This is just one small detail of this ceremony. We were also able to choose our desired level of religion, as well as what feeling we wanted to show, for example intimate, humorous or uplifting. We were able to plan the perfect ceremony for us. My husband is Irish, so she kindly added some Irish blessings that his guests loved. Another sweet detail that she suggested was making little scrolls that had a poem on all of them and they were placed at the dinner table. What a sweet detail! And everybody loved them. They were gorgeous. Her company is more than just officiating. She will help with other things as well.
Did I mention she was an English teacher and she KNOWS how to write really well? She even helped me correct my vows to make them sound smooth and even more loving.
We grew so close to Debra that she feels like my second mother. She will care for you with limitless love. I highly recommend to choose her with no doubt. Love you, Debra! -

Debra Ann is a very enthusiastic, detailed-oriented, and knowledgeable wedding officiant. She's experienced and knows every angle of a wedding and ceremony. You don't need to know anything going in, which can be very helpful in the bustle of preparing your wedding. Debra Ann is thorough and a hard-worker and will be extremely detailed in the preparation, drafting, rehearsal, and of course the ceremony itself. Her thoroughness is matched by her cheerfulness, kindness, and great humor. She will infuse levity and lightness and humor into your ceremony seamlessly, if that's what you wish. Debra Ann can do whatever you need and help with whatever you need. A very good choice for an officiant and highly recommended. -

My son was just married by Minister Debra Ann, she was very professional, and very friendly, She makes everyone feel that they are part of the ceremony. The ceremony was beautiful and very moving. She made sure everything was perfect for their special day. I loved how she told their love story and she also gave them an infinity heart that was very special. My son told me he really liked her he found her to be very spiritual. Minister Debra Ann is wonderful and I would recommend her to anyone getting married or renewing their vows!!
