I knew from the moment I saw their work on another wedding I needed to work with Virginia and Co. Natelege is an absolute delight to work with and really took care to make sure all of our needs were met. We were even able to have two types of cuisine at our wedding so both of our cultures could be represented. The tasting was fantastic as well and really was like a little date night for us. From the food to the staff, everything that Natelege and her team did was amazing. The only part of working with them you’ll regret is not choosing them sooner. -

Muumuus & Mimosas with Virginia&Co
The food was good from beginning to the end. The spread was unbelievable! A little of this and that all wrapped up in an elegant bow. The ambience that accompanied the fried lobster tails and waffles with fruit, the caviar-topped, deviled eggs, marinated salmon with the most perfect parsley& basil grits. Oh did I mention, the Gruyère and spinach casserole, sweet potato biscuits with ham & fig jam? I could on and on because there was roasted root veggies, sweet potato soufflé and delicious corn bread, too! Chef Joy loves what she does and we tasted it in every bite. If you have to make a choice, pick her! -

We knew we would book Virginia & Co the moment we left our tasting. The food was amazing and Joy was kind and organized. It was clear from the start she knew what she was doing. All of the food on our wedding day was delicious and Virginia & co. went out of their way to ensure that all my family and friends with allergies and dietary restrictions were taken care of. She even worked with her team last minute to make sure that our gluten free guests (including mom of the bride) got a special dessert and that water was put out to hydrate our guests on the hot June day of our wedding. Would definitely recommend. -

The Virginia & Co team is amazing- I am so happy we chose them as our caterer for our wedding! Everything went so smoothly day-of and our guests loved our food. They made the tasting process fun too, as we did a group tasting event and got to meet other vendors! We also loved that they have an option to provide plates and silverware so it was one less thing to coordinate with another vendor. Natelege is wonderful and very communicative as well, which made the whole process a breeze. I would absolutely recommend Virginia & Co for any of your catering needs! -

Omg what can I say about Natelage. She honestly is one of a kind. For one, my guest are still talking about the food. It was amazing. But she connected me to my wedding planner. She honestly took my concept of being unapologetically black to the next level with the food. Amazing, communication skills, food presentations on point, mac and cheese is heaven. -

Excellent Service!
I worked with Virginia and Co. on a grazing table styled shoot. They were professional, and the food was terrific. The setup was beautiful. The guacamole in plantain cups was my favorite dish! I highly recommend them for any event you are looking to take to the next level. -

When deciding to select the menu for our special gathering of family and friends, our wedding coordinator asked Virginia and Company to develop a meal that would illuminate our theme. My husband proposed marriage in March 2018, and we set a date of August 2018. To say that time was of the essence would be an understatement.
Entrusting our wedding planner, Joye Speight from Virtue Events, Virginia and Company submitted a tentative menu that we could consider. The menu created sounded wonderful; however, didn’t make our hearts jump for joy. In less than a few hours, Virginia and Company recreated a sensational menu to fit our theme and tastes. The care and details that were proposed excited our taste buds. We knew that we wanted to schedule a tasting, and Virtue Events coordinated to make that happen.
Natelege Bryant brought a professional touch to this intimate occasion. Our tasting session simply astonished us and excited us for our main event. We envisioned a simple lawn ceremony and a luncheon reception in the Spruce Pine Lodge in Bahama, North Carolina. The setting inspired us to have an upscale backyard barbecue theme. Being in North Carolina, we felt that pulled barbecue would fit nicely. Virginia and Company not only met our desires with two different options of barbecue, but also, had a wonderful selection for our vegetarian guests to enjoy the barbecue flavor using jackfruit. The exquisite side dishes she designed allowed our hearts to sing in harmony as we shared our story with her. We also wanted her signature grazing table and were delighted by the response from our guests!
With so many moving parts coming together the day of the wedding, we were confident that the barbecue reception would tie a nice bow around our celebration. Virginia and Company’s staff were attentive, professional, and provided wonderful service. We cannot thank them enough for help us commemorate our wedding. Thank you for your outstanding care!

I absolutely love Virginia & Co. I have been to several events that they have catered and every single time my mind is blown. The attention to detail, the presentation, and the quality of food is unsurpassed. Naturally, when it came time to get married, I wanted to ensure we locked down the best caterer in the area. We discussed the menu initially, and then Joy came back with some suggestions for the menu that would reflect our personalities. She wanted to ensure it wasn't just food, but an experience that spoke to who we are and how much we love to have fun. Then we came up with an idea to surprise my wife with a s' mores bar! Fast forward to the day of the wedding, and everything was simply amazing. The food was great and when the s' mores bar was unveiled, my new bride was completely surprised. It was a huge hit with our guests as well. I can't rave enough about the attention to detail, the quality of service that we received from beginning to end. Choosing Virginia & Co for your event means attention to detail. It means the highest quality(food, service, and presentation) and someone that will not just ensure the food is great, but that it speaks to who you are and the message your event is trying to convey. -

Highly Recommend!
As the saying goes, we eat with our eyes first. If that's true, you're full before for you even taste! Everything was beautiful and delicious!! Our guests were raving about the food! At the last minute I added the macaroni and cheese bar and it was a huge hit! I hosted a celebration of marriage at our home. The entire staff was professional and courteous and left my kitchen spotless! I definitely made the right choice and will definitely use than again! -

Rooftop Rave
I give my overwhelming recommendation for Virginia & Co! I recently hired them to cater my 55th Birthday Party on the rooftop of Unwinded in Wake Forest. It was August and it was hot, but Virginia & Co made it amazing! Very accommodating with the menu. I had a Purple Rain party and not only did she find purple appetizers like dried hibiscus 🌺, but she also made lavender lemonade. Everything was fabulous! If you were to look up Class Act in the dictionary, a picture of Virginia & Co should appear. -

Virgina & Co. - Innovative and Delicious
Great to work with from planning through execution. Virgina and Co. made the entire experience so easy and flawless. The food and displays....AMAZING! From the grazing table to the Smores station. The grazing table was something I have not seen done on such a large scale and it was a hit. The display was so beautiful I didn't want to mess up the picturesque moment BUT I couldn't resist the different local fruits and cheeses and honey!!! SO DELICIOUS. The serving staff was so accommodating, there was never a moment where I had to stop and ask where the napkins or beverages were, is this gluten free, veggie options etc. I cannot ask for a better experience with a catering company. At the end of the night everyone was raving about how delicious the food was. I highly recommend. -

If you don't stop what you're doing and book Virginia & Co. for your wedding reception, what are you doing with your life? I have known Chef Natelege and the crew for some time now and can honestly say they are the best. They treat you like family all while going above and beyond to make sure that you have what you need (and want) for your big day. She works with you, listens to you, and really cares about what will make you happy! She's very professional, super hilarious, and an all around kind, loving, amazing person!! The food always tastes amazing and the presentation will have you drooling at the mouth (Check out her work if you don't believe me)! I seriously can't say enough about Virginia & Co.. There's no mystery as to why Virginia & Co. is one of the fastest growing, most sought after caterer in our area! -

Virginia and Co was the perfect fit for a beautiful outdoor September wedding. Joy visited the venue and worked out all the details without us and made it so effortless for us. She gave us several menus and worked to meet the bride and grooms favorite foods. Her display of the food was on point and she provided servers. She also did the rehearsal dinner and did an amazing job then as well. I would strongly recommend Virginia and Co for any event. -

Having Virginia & Co cater was one of the best decisions I made. Everyone loved the food and the presentation was beautiful. They made suggestions for the menu, responded to all emails from me and my coordinator in a timely manner and did an outstanding job for our cocktail hour.
They will definitely be my go-to caterer for all my future events. -

I came into the day expecting something better than what I received on the day of the wedding.
While the cocktail hour food we got was apparently good (I did not have a chance to taste as I was taking pictures with the photographer during this time), although we had paid for two dishes to be served, and only one was served. The servers did a good job at passing the one dish out though.
The reception was another story with dinner.
Dinner was supposed to start at 4pm, as we had sent them a detailed itinerary for the day beforehand. At 4pm the beverage station was still at another part of the venue where cocktail hour was held and not at the reception site. And the food was not ready either. We had to wait for them to put the food out so we could be served. We got the buffet, so you would’ve thought the food would have been set out and ready to be served. And the food that was served was mediocre at best. The spare ribs were so tough that it was a struggle to bite into, and they were pretty tasteless. And the chicken was not it. Some of the pieces I saw on my family's plates made me a little nauseous to look at. It was gray and looked unappetizing. Seemingly only the pieces of chicken on top were the freshest and looked like they had actually been grilled.
And the “salad” was definitely not a salad. We got the watermelon feta salad. It was supposed to include “mint, red onions and balsamic vinaigrette”. All that was served was maybe 3 small cubes of watermelon, a tiny amount of feta sprinkled on, and barely any mint on the plate. I wasn’t expecting a big salad or anything like that, but it was a pitiful amount on the plate.
And what really got under my skin the day of the wedding was the amount of staff that came. We were promised, per the invoice, that we would have 10 people there. That’s what I paid for. There most definitely was not 10 staff members there. Apparently there were 5 staff members there, but I personally only saw 3. And that’s when they weren’t stepping away frequently for a smoke break. What I heard from my wedding director is that they double booked the day of the wedding, so they split up the staff for the two events. That is baffling to me that they double booked, and then provided less staff than what we paid for.
And in the contract with catering it states “Leftover Policy: For the health and safety of our customers, and for liability reasons, we do not package leftover food for our clients. We do not provide to go containers. All food leftover at the scheduled pick-up time will be taken by the catering staff and discarded in an appropriate way.” However, the catering staff offered all the left over food to the venue owners, while we were not allowed to keep any leftovers when we were the ones who paid for it.
And we ended up having the staff cut up the cake to be served but they did it in the strangest way. Instead of slicing it into proper cake slices, it’s as though they cubed it up and served it in small barely bite sized pieces. And when they brought it out, they placed it on the opposite side of the reception area from where the cake originally was, and where the cupcakes were, so most people weren’t even aware that the cake had been served.
Overall it felt very underwhelming, when i was very excited for the food to only be disappointed. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

I am not impressed with Virginia and her team. For our 100 person wedding on the beach. she overpromised and underdelivered. We paid $6,998 for dinner and drink service. Our guests were left without water for half their meal. Our wedding planner had to step in and help. It was so embarrassing. I specifically asked her to leave all left overs. I mean we paid for the food right????? She left nothing. I guess her team got to enjoy the rest of the smoked gouda Mac n cheese we wanted for the after party. she also slapped one of the groomsman hands for trying to eat a taco from the cocktail hour table. My husband is still upset with her unprofessionalism. Additionally, she told us during cocktail hour she would bring plates to the bridal party and did not. She overpromises and under delivers. I'm so upset we hired her because we did not get to enjoy any of the food at our own wedding. And, we're obviously foodies. Don't let her beautiful Instagram fool you.
