Thank you so much VIP Catering in Orem! We went through Wedding Street and we are so glad we did! We wouldn't have found you otherwise! Thank you so much for catering our wedding and doing such a fantastic job! The food was absolutely delicious and all of our guests were super happy! We had the chicken cordon bleu, red potatoes, asparagus, rolls, caesar salad, and fruit display. The strawberry lemonade was also delicious. Great price and great food! -

Our experience was beyond wonderful. The food was fantastic and the portions were incredibly generous. We ordered the pasta bar, which included alfredo and marinara, a strawberry salad, rolls, and drinks. My husband and I were able to eat in the course of the evening and everything was so good. Great service and awesome value. I booked them though Wedding Street and I would recommend them to anyone. -

Recently used VIP catering as recommended through Wedding Street. Mentioning Wedding Street as they highly recommended VIP catering and they receive compensation for their services.
Overall experience with VIP catering was average, it appears they may not be equipped to handle large groups. You may consider another caterer if you have a large group and want timely, quality service.
Overview: Our meal with VIP catering was a street taco dinner buffet. Per the contract, here’s what was paid for and contracted with Wedding Street and VIP catering (this is an excerpt from the contract/written work order from Wedding Street to VIP catering) “300 guest with dinner service starting at 6:30 and ice cream bar at 8:30”
Our concern/feedback: Although we paid for 300 guest the caterer did not come equipped to handle the guest within the typical dinner hour (6:30-8:00), the expectation was that dinner would be served for guest who were present from 6:30- 8:00. Because of the slow service, dinner could not be closed at the expected time and continued until after9:00, some guests were in the buffet line for 1 ½ hrs. When asked about the situation afterward, VIP catering responded via email with the following
“We were serving on average 2 people per minute. I agree with you though the line was long and always there…” VIP catering also claimed the long line was because family members decided to get food for the wedding party (this was done otherwise the Bride and Groom and wedding party would be waiting in line for 1 ½ hr for food and likely miss out on their own reception), The concern raised by VIP catering regarding the family’s actions seems to be invalid as these individuals were all consider in the guest count, not additional head count.
The primary concern with VIP catering is that it seems although the contract accounted for 300 guest, there was no preparation or no intent to serve our 300 guests during the time allotted. This is evidenced by their own email response and decisions on staffing levels for 300 guests. It seems that a large group might be beyond the capacity of their operation based on our experience.
Encourage anyone planning on using VIP catering that has a large group to ask lots of questions and establish service level expectations in your contract.
