Fabulous photos and vision!
Violet successfully photographed my son‘s wedding! She had an absolute vision for what would work, was able to wrangle friends and family members in such a way that it was easy to work with her! She truly captured the magic of the wedding and reception! Highly recommended! Very reasonably priced! A lovely person through and through! -

My daughter booked Violet for her wedding and we were extremely happy with her work. Violet is an amazing photographer!! She has a lot of years of experience and it reflects on her work. My daughter received over 500 pictures from Violet, they were all phenomenal. I really appreciated her attention to detail, she captured all the special moments! I would definitely recommend Violet for any weddings or events!! -

My husband and I were lucky enough to have Violet as our photographer for our intimate, Lord of the Rings/Dark Crystal themed wedding out in Joshua Tree this past May. Everything from candid “getting ready” moments with the wedding party, to perfectly capturing the ceremony and reception itself in all its ethereal nerdy glory, to a specially concept-ed couples photo shoot out in the middle of the desert after was handled masterfully. Violet gave us photographs that are not only technically beautiful but also fully captured my husband's and my not-so-traditional vision for our wedding celebration and that is something we will cherish forever. -

Violet was the absolute best decision I made for our wedding. She was very creative, helpful, eager, and listened to all of our ideas. We were completely discouraged after seeing the other quotes we received, we thought we would not be able to hire a professional photographer, Violet was a breath of fresh air. It was also difficult for us because my husband is also a photographer and we were very particular. Our photos are absolutely stunning, I could not have asked for more. She was very professional and all of the guests loved her!

Great photographer with attention to details…
Our recent wedding was expertly photographed by Violet. Not only was she professional, courteous, and talented, but her eye for detail made for some very special photographs! Violet was able to capture the "flavor" of our really fun wedding. Several of the photos now hang in our home, and the select ones I posted to "social media" have received loads of compliments (ie: "straight out of Bride's magazine, "you guys look like models") It was a pleasure to work with her. She worked tirelessly and yet her prices are quite reasonable. -

Engagement photos
Violet was great! She showed us different locations with different themes to choose from and on the day of the shoot she directed us well on how to pose because we had no idea what to do. I received the digital photos faster then expected and they came out amazing! -

We’re a couple from the U.K., who got married in Los Angeles last month. We had the absolute best experience with Violet, and would highly recommend her to anyone! I really don’t enjoy having my picture taken at all generally, so I was quite apprehensive about the wedding photography. But I felt so completely at ease with Violet, and the photos turned out so beautiful! We had so much fun all day, and she went above and beyond for us. She wasn’t just our wedding photographer, she was a special part of our wedding too, and we feel like we gained a friend as well as a wonderful wedding album, full of her talented work! Violet came out to Tucson to shoot our desert wedding, and did a wonderful job capturing the beauty of the setting as well as the wonderful moments from the ceremony and reception. She was cheerful in wrangling our large, extended families into group shots and catching those intimate details that help wedding photos to stand out. (Note that Violet does not typically work in Arizona; this was a special favor, as I have known her a long time and worked with her before. She also shot our engagement photos in Chicago, because we all happened to be in that city at the time.) Our wedding was literally out in the desert, and it was important to us that the cactus and mountains be featured prominently in the images, which they were. Violet also managed to get some good pictures of the cake even though the cake itself proved to be structurally unstable and the time window for capturing its beauty was fairly small. Also: many adorable shots of children. The full shoot, along with a selection of color-corrected photos, was soon delivered to us on CD-ROM. Her prices are really reasonable, and she covers your entire wedding day if you want pictures of the bride getting dressed, people stuffing into limos, etc. -

Best Bang For Your Buck!
Violet took photos at my wedding last December. She came to my hotel room early in the morning, as we were getting ready, and spent the entire day tirelessly snapping photos, setting up great, imaginative shots, and coaching all of us. She knows what kinds of shots she wants, is decisive, and doesn't waste any time getting those great images. And since she primarily works on her own (although we were offered the option of an assistant if we wanted it), there's not a whole lot of equipment or additional people in the way of what's going on. She fell right in with everyone and did her thing flawlessly, without it being awkward. The photos ended up beautiful, and at a really reasonable price. She's also photographed my husband and me several other times, and we are ALWAYS happy with the results. Especially good with little kids. Top notch work! -
