We hired Vintage String for our wedding and they were absolutely incredible! We had a violinist and a cellist perform live acoustic music during our ceremony and cocktail hour, and it made every moment feel sweeter, more romantic, and so memorable. Their sound filled the room in the most elegant way without ever overpowering anything, it truly elevated the entire atmosphere.
They were professional, easy to work with, talented beyond words, and our guests could not stop complimenting how beautiful the music was. If you’re looking for musicians who add emotion, charm and timeless beauty to your day, Vintage String is a perfect choice. I would 100% recommend them to anyone getting married! -

The moment I listened to the video files provided by Diane, I knew i needed to have Vintage Strings be a part of my wedding. They played beautifully for the ceremony and cocktail hour.
Diane was responsive, easy to work with, and really paid attention to the details. My only regret is that I did not get to enjoy the band as much as I wanted to due to taking photos, greeting guests, etc..
Vintage String will elevate your wedding!! I'm so glad they were a part of mine. Hoping I'll be lucky enough to hear them play again. -

My husband and I absolutely loved working with Diane and Vanessa/ The Vintage String team!
Our wedding songs for the ceremony and cocktail hour were a lovely mix of contemporary songs and along with a few classic songs. We hired their Trio String group! All of our guests couldn't stop talking about how incredible this talented group of violin players were. I can't recommend anyone better!
Highly recommend booking with the Vintage String Team right away. They made our special day so magical and filled with a perfect melody that we won't every forget! -

Vintage String came highly recommended by a top Boston based wedding planner and the recommendation did not disappoint! Diane was incredibly organized and a pleasure to work w/ leading up to wedding day and their performance was absolutely spectacular! They even learned two songs for us - truly beautiful!

Pop tunes on classical strings! Vintage String was a hit at our wedding. During the ceremony we had a solo violinist as guests arrived, and as we processed during the ceremony. Then, during our cocktail hour a cello joined for more great tunes. They were the perfect addition, flexible, and they have a long repertoire to pick from! -

Vintage String was organized & so easy to work with. We live out of state so the majority of our communication occurred over email, quick phone calls & google drive docs. All of their recommendations for song choices & timing were incredibly helpful & perceptive. I was able to work with them to have a “secret” song to walk down the aisle to as a planned surprise. Overall they were professional & talented, can’t ask for much else! -

Diane and Vanessa EXCEEDED our expectations. My husband and I wanted to have specific nerdy songs for our ceremony, and Diane and Vanessa not just took that in stride, but were genuinely excited to help us execute our vision. They scored a few pieces for us from shows/movies, and they played a special tribute song dedicated to the memory of our parents in the middle of the ceremony. They also found a cellist to help round out the sound, and it really made it all come together! They were very professional, on time, and excellent communicators- not to mention stellar at their craft! -

Coordinating with Diane and Vanessa was such an ease and so enjoyable! They were great with responding to emails and made us feel so comfortable and assured us that the duo was gonna make our wedding so special and indeed they were.
They played prelude, cocktail hour, and a song during our ceremony. They were so prompt and amazing and put such a special touch to our memorable day. So many guests commented on how beautiful they sounded and looked as a part of the ceremony.
Their repertoire was so vast covering pop music, 80's hits, classical songs. We were so happy with working with them and the product they provided 10 stars out of 5! Feel free to reach out with specific questions! -

I contracted with them for my daughter's small wedding. They were a pleasure to work with and willing to accommodate in every way. The ceremony and dinner would have been flat and empty without their music, it truly completed the wedding. They are talented professional musicians and I only hope to hear them play again someday. -

WOW! Vintage String took our day to the next level. I am so happy that I made the decision to book musicians. Although I never got to meet them on the big day, the music during our ceremony was truly breathtaking. It created such an elegant and special tone for the ceremony. Leading up to the day, they were extremely responsive and easy to work with and I couldn't have asked for anything more. They are truly talented- just watch some of their videos! -

I found vintage string on thumbtack! As soon as I reached out I got an email back and the communication was excellent from day 1! I loved their song selections and it was so simple to work with them in choosing the songs for the procession as well as my bridal entrance and exit. I had Vanessa for my day and she was so sweet and composed as she played while my guests were seated. Not to mention the quality of the music and the sound was everything I wished for for my garden wedding . Thank you Vintage string for adding that special touch to my day! -

Diane and Vanessa at Vintage String were incredible! Everyone loved the ceremony music! My husband Patrick and I got married on September 7, 2019 at The Brookside Club, and Vintage String viola & violin duo did an amazing job! They provided us with a complimentary custom arrangement through their Wedding Wire promotion and we chose “You Are the Best Thing” for the recessional. It was amazing! We received so many compliments and we cannot wait to see our wedding video of them playing! We highly recommend Vintage String and have been telling everyone we know. We found Vintage String through a mutual friend, Vanessa is friend's with my friend Paul, who highly recommended them!

Amazing team!
Working with Vintage String was amazing, to say the least. Diane was so helpful when it came time for me to pick out music - I told her what I liked and she even went out of her way to compile some options for me based on my criteria! Additionally, she was so kind as to have me come over to practice singing together since my husband and I sang at our wedding. She was extremely responsive (24hrs max) with all forms of communication and was willing to write up a string quartet version of some of the songs I desired to have when she couldn't find them online. And it was all reasonably priced!
Such a delight to work with and goes out of her way to be respectful and accommodating. Very warm, kind, welcoming, and hard working.
Finally, the music was perfect! -

Terrific in every way
Diane was a pleasure to work with from the start. Warm, responsive, reassuring, creative problem-solver. Worked collaboratively with other aspects of the event flow to make it simpler, not harder. Very reassuring and professional to work with.
The day of the event, the performers were there right on time, dressed just as requested, and their music provided a beautiful and elegant aspect of an all-round beautiful day.
Can’t recommend Vintage Strings highly enough. -

Having a string quartet at my wedding was a must and Vintage String made my dreams come true! The utmost professionals with a wide variety of music in their repertoire! Our custom arrangements for the ceremony were ideal and played to perfection. The music was one of the main compliments we got about our wedding and Vintage String helped all of that happen.
